Super delicious food. Staff very friendly

Restaurant Chan is still a classic Chinese restaurant without a buffet, but with freshly prepared and beautifully decorated food (where else can you get a carved "carrot flower"?!?). For starters, I had a delicious soup (or a spring roll), which was included in the price. My duck was super crispy and, combined with the sauce served separately (which I prefer), very good. The chef, who in turn calls guests "Chef," serves the food. You should bring some time, but good food takes time.

The restaurant is famous for its crispy duck dishes, and rightly so. The owner is very friendly. During rush hour, however, it can take a while to be served. We don't mind. It's not a fast-food joint!

The most delicious Chinese food I've ever had. The duck is truly divine, absolutely tender and indescribably delicious. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, absolutely perfect service, and the food arrived quite quickly, about 15 minutes after ordering. We will definitely be coming back again.

A typical Chinese restaurant, overloaded with Chinese ornamentation and kitsch, with an exceptionally friendly owner. The menu selection seems unchanged for decades. But that ultimately doesn't matter if you rarely eat Chinese food. There's the eternal duck in a thousand variations, twice-roasted beef, the four delicacies, moo-err mushrooms, lychee, glassy soy-glutamate sauces, and baked banana with honey for dessert. You get what you expect. In other words, a taste experience like it was ten, twenty, or thirty years ago, with no significant changes. Only the drink brands and the prices have changed. In other words, it's conservative Asian cuisine in the positive sense.

Food was delicious, service from the owner was really sweet. Everything is still “old school”, highly recommended!!!

Since I only picked up, I'm only reviewing the food. Fried rice with chicken: - A large portion with enough meat - Unfortunately tasteless, i.e. I had to add a lot of seasoning. - The rice could have been a little less dry and more vegetables would have been nice too.

The food was very tasty, unfortunately a bit expensive, but we took the leftovers with us (it was too much). The staff was very friendly and we had a lot of fun, also thanks to the employees.

This China man is the best around. The innkeeper was again very entertaining and likes to make jokes. The food is always freshly prepared, the meat is tender, the vegetables are crunchy. Highly recommended is the crispy duck, simply great. Cozy ambience, price/performance ratio is right, even if, like all restaurateurs, the prices were quite high. Always my pleasure.

The service was good, the atmosphere a bit kitschy, but that's a matter of opinion. The food was okay. Unfortunately, I felt a bit sick afterward. The smell is terrible when the sizzling and steaming food arrives. The whole room is foggy, and your clothes smell of it.

Service was prudish and dry at first, it felt like it couldn't go fast enough as soon as we were ready to order, but as time went on it became more relaxed and we got along well. At the end of the evening (when we were the last ones in the restaurant) I had the feeling that we couldn't leave the restaurant quickly enough, even though the table was still full of the main course. The rice we got seemed like the day before, a little dry and hard. The duck I got was very lean and the 'peanut butter sauce' was extremely sweet. The decor appears traditional and gives a pleasant atmosphere. The chairs, however (or at least mine that evening) kept sticking to my *cotton top. There is no music playing in the dining room.

It doesn't get any better than this!!! A very high-quality Chinese restaurant, unparalleled in all of Schleswig-Holstein. Tip: Try the duck, it's absolutely delicious 👍👍👍

I haven't had such a good meal at a Chinese restaurant in a long time. The selection was very extensive and varied, but everything we tried as a group was absolutely delicious. The value for money is excellent. The ambiance is very nice, and the restaurant is very well-kept and very nice in a central location.

This is exactly how a German imagines a Chinese restaurant. Chan is delightful; the familiar little red lanterns hang everywhere, the wooden seating areas feature gold-carved dragons, and the tables are decorated with other small Chinese decorative elements. I immediately felt at home. The service was friendly and prompt. The food came very quickly and filled half the table! Everything tasted good and was reasonably priced. However, we were missing some vegetables, a few bamboo shoots, or something similar. Only the meat with rice and sauce was a bit monotonous. I consider not being able to pay by card a no-go these days. Luckily, the nearest bank wasn't far away!

We were thrilled and completely satisfied.

Wir kennen das Restaurant des Ehepaars Chan schon sehr lange. Der Wirt und seine Frau betreiben das Restarant in "Selbstausbeutung", wie so viele Familienbetriebe. Das Essen ist lecker, man findet aus der großen Auswahl für jeden was. Es tut mir leid, wenn sich jemand mit Sprechschwierigkeiten bei ihnen unwohl gefühlt hat, denn eigentlich haben sie immer für jeden ein nettes Wort. Vielleicht nicht ganz immer, wenn der Laden sehr voll ist und sie im Stress sind -- sie werden ja auch nicht jünger. Wir gehen mit unserem behinderten Kind hin, und auch mit dem behinderten Menschen wird freundlich gescherzt und Smalltalk gehalten.

I've been coming to Chan's with my family for years and we've always been more than satisfied! The food is very tasty and the prices are more than justified given the portions. The service is provided by the owners themselves, which makes the atmosphere simply pleasantly familiar. Always recommended!

Mega ambience, incredibly elaborate decorations on the wooden furniture, a lot of attention to detail. The owner takes personal care of the guests and lightens the mood of the guests with his open and funny manner. The food is brilliant, would highly recommend number 27 - twice fried pork. Even being a vegetarian made me weak 😂 The food is served in the middle of the table on plates heated with candles, so it stays warm and you can take all the time in the world. Would give 6 stars :)

Food was good, but it was better earlier. The food when sold outside the home only comes in a small bowl together with rice. In the past, the bowls were larger and the rice was given in a separate bowl. Owner often rude to guests and unfriendly. At this time when you can pay by card everywhere, you can't do it at Chan. No longer fits the times.

Been here since childhood...sadly now only when I'm visiting family as we live in the US. Great food. I always order the same thing for myself now (chicken with 8 different ingredients) . Love it and he does it extra light (little oil) for me per my request. My kids love this place as well. Something here for everyone.

Ich betrete das Restaurant und fühle mich in das Reich der Mitte versetzt, sehr hübsch eingerichtet. Der Inhaber ist immer sehr freundlich und bringt den Gast/mich oftmals zum schmunzeln. Die Vorsuppe ist ein Gedicht, überhaupt sind die Speisen reichhaltig und absolut köstlich - und das zu einem fairen Preis. Da können viele andere chinesischen Restaurants absolut nicht mithalten. Schön, dass es das CHAN in Preetz gibt. Komme gerne wieder.

Das Essen war SEHR lecker! Die Erdnusssoße, ein Gedicht 😋👍Da das Restaurant nicht so groß ist und alle Tische besetzt waren, war es uns ein bisschen zu laut! Das Essen hat auch seinen Preis, aber so wie es geschmeckt hat, ist es verständlich! Alles frisch und uns wurde sogar Reis nachgereicht! Das haben wir auch noch nie erlebt....toll 👍 Am besten ist es, wenn man einen Tisch reserviert!

Immer lecker, manchmal etwas Wartezeit, aber das nimmt man gerne in Kauf. Hier bedienen die Chefs noch selbst.

Durch Zufall hier gelandet. Super Essen, besser als die All you can Eat Läden. Der Humor vom Chef ist speziell, aber immer höflich!!

3 Sterne+ Ente war ausgezeichnet, gebackenes Hähnchen kannte ich so noch nicht, Saucen aber ein wenig langweilig. Bewirtung supernett und das Restaurant ist sehr sauber.

Sehr leckeres Essen ein schönes Ambiente man fühlt sich direkt wohl und gut versorgt sehr liebe Menschen die chan's kann ich mit bestem gewissen weiter empfehlen :)

Essen ohne Geschmack. Ente knorpelig. Nudeln nicht genießbar. Keine Kartenzahlung möglich. Wartezeit 1,5 Stunden. Nicht zu empfehlen.

Das Essen ist sehr reichlich und schmeckt hervorragend, daß Preisverhältnis stimmt. Wunderschönes Ambiente leise Musik im Hintergrund. Die Bedienung ist sehr schnell und überaus sehr freundlich. Ich kann es weiterempfehlen, da ich selbst auch wieder gerne hingehe.

Wir waren heute im Restaurant zum Essen. Das Essen war lecker jedoch der Service schlecht. Herr Chan war echt frech zu uns.Zu meiner Bekannten meinte er sie wäre Kommunistin weil sie einen Stern auf dem Arm tätowiert hat. Als sie ihm dann später mit einer Hand den Teller abnehmen wollte, unterstellte er ihr, sie habe kein Benehmen, weil man in China den Teller nur mit zwei Händen entgegen nehmen darf. Außerdem nannte er uns Schwester, Oma und Chefin. War am Anfang ganz lustig, irgendwann dann aber nicht mehr. Als er gemerkt hatte, dass wir uns darüber lustig gemacht haben, wurden wir den Rest des Besuchs ignoriert. Zum Bezahlen mussten wir dann selbstständig irgendwann an die Theke gehen.

Essen war lecker und unterscheidet sich von der Zubereitung *****, doch sehr von anderen Restaurants. Leider aber wurde alles vor kurzem vom Preis angehoben, und bei vielen Gerichten zu wenig Gemüse. Eine evtl. Kritik (15 Min.später ankommender Kd. wurde bevorzugt bedient,dies habe ich gerügt) meinem Empfinden nach, wurde dies auch in darauf folgenden Besuche mit Unfreundlichkeit bestraft, mag mich täuschen. Jetzt dich einige Zeit später, merkt man doch sehr deutlich, daß die Preise angezogen wurden, die Portion weniger wurde, (Fleisch wie Gemüse) und der Kaffee für hinterher nur lauwarm serviert wurde. Schade einfach.

Das Essen ist bis auf kleinigkeiten sehr gut.... Durch den Hohen Andrang sind die beiden im Service aber Stark überlastet.

Das Essen ist sehr lecker und zum Mittagstisch gibt es eine Suppe oder eine Frühlingsrolle vorweg.

Betrieben durch Inhaber-Ehepaar sowie einer Servicekraft, sehr eigener Humor der an ein wenig Ignoranz grenzte hinsichtlich Empfehlungen. Wenn der Laden voll ist, sinkt die Luftqualität insbesondere durch rauchende Gußeisenplatten wie z.B. Chan Spezial. Essen ist ganz gut und auch für großen Hunger absolut ausreichend, Reis wird stetig nachgeliefert, ein wenig mehr Gemüse wäre ein Upgrade. Und warum bekommt man Ketchup zur Frühlingsrolle? Der Laden ist eigen und hat einen gewissen Charme. Wichtig: Hier gibt es nur Barzahlung, dafür mit unaufgeforderter Quittung.

Gerne wieder. Besonders fanden wir Herrn Chang, der durch seine überschwängliche Art unseren Besuch zu einem Besonderen machte. Ente gut: alles gut!

Wir sind seit Jahren, wenn nicht sogar Jahrzehnten Stammkunden im China Restaurant Chan. Leider müssen wir jedes Jahr aufs neue festellen, dass der Service genervt auf Kundenwünsche reagiert und halbherzig umsetzen.

Ich war das erste mal dort und muss sagen, dass ich noch NIE so leckeres Essen in einem anderen chinesischem Restaurant gegessen habe. Absolut empfehlenswert. Super, super, super lecker 😋 Wir kommen gern wieder.

Guten Abend , ich habe sehr viel positives über den Laden gehört und bin extra aus Neumünster angereist um dort zu essen . Mein Fazit ist leider wirklich durchwachsen , das Essen war im Grunde gut und hat geschmeckt doch der Service war eine reine Katastrophe, das Ehepaar was wohl anscheinend das Restaurant führt war total dreist im Umgang mit uns ( wir waren zu 6 dort ) sehr unverschämt…. Werde leider nicht mehr wiederkommen … schade

Völlig agressiv und laut,ist Sie mit mir vor 30Min und vor Gästen umgegangen. Da ich Kehlkopflos bin,fühle ich mich gedemütigt. Sie war respektlos, laut und in ihrer Körpersprache agressiv. Stellte mich als dumm und begriffstutzig da,weil ich nicht schnell genug aufgeschrieben habe,was ich möchte. Dabei kann ich doch sprechen und hatte eine Frage zur Speisekarte. Diese Aufmerksamkeit, wollte Sie nicht geben und haute vor meiner Nase,wärend des schreiens mit dem Kugelschreiber auf meiner Speisekarte. Gäste haben es mitbekommen, bin tief verletzt. Also,wer ein Handycap hat,nicht von seiner Frau bedienen lassen!!!

Ein normales chinesisches Restaurant mit allen Gerichten die man so kennt. Das Essen war ok und der Wirt sehr freundlich.

wg. Corona heute bei Herrn Chang telefonisch das Mittagessen bestellt, konnte dieses schon nach 15 Minuten abholen. Parkplätze befinden sich direkt auf dem Grundstück neben dem Restaurant. Im Gastraum vorne wurde eine neue Plexiglasdurchreiche als Abtrennung eingebaut, so dass die Tüte mit dem Essen berührungslos übergeben wird. Wie immer sehr lecker, reichhaltig und gut verpackt. Vielen Dank Fam. Chang, gerne wieder in der nächsten Woche

Wir hatten an Weihnachten einen Tisch zu 13:30 Uhr bestellt. Wir wurden gebeten um 14 Uhr nochmal wieder zu kommen da noch kein Tisch frei war. Um 14 Uhr wurde unser Tisch "auf die schnelle" fertig gemacht ohne das er richtig eingedeckt wurde. Das Essen haben wir dann um kurz nach 15 Uhr bekommen. Getränke nachbestellen war auch nicht gerade einfach. Das Essen an sich war ok, aber nicht herausragend gegenüber anderen chinesischen Restaurants.

Das Essen ist geschmacklich immer 1 a / der Inhaber ist immer freundlich und hat ein paar nette Worte übrig. Man kann das Essen nicht mit den großen Ketten vergleichen . Es schmeckt einfach besser .

Super leckeres Essen; die Gerichte schmecken sehr individuell. Top: Die Erdnusssauce. Und der Kellner macht herrliche Witze, obgleich man nicht alles versteht. Insgesamt in jedem Fall ein Besuch Wert.

Ich war Anfang Februar 2019 zum Abendessen in diesem Restaurant (auf Empfehlung). Das Restaurant war an einem Donnerstag abend gut gefüllt, was auf eine allgemeine Beliebtheit schließen lässt. Es hat einen eigenen kostenlosen Kundenparkplatz. Das Personal ist äußerst zuvorkommend (offensichtlich ein Familienbetrieb). Auch wenn man das erste Mal dort ist, wird einem das Gefühl vermittelt, Stammgast zu sein. Das Essen ist sehr gut; ich probierte die Tomatensuppe (mit frischen Tomaten!) und ein Truthahn-Gericht. Das wurde als "scharf" ausgewiesen und war es auch. Sehr gut! Ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder hingehen und kann das Restaurant auf jeden Fall empfehlen. Einziges Manko: Es ist nur Barzahlung möglich (21. Jahrhundert?!).

Hier gibt es mal wieder ein klassisches China Restaurant a la Carte. Mittags kann man preiswert und gut Essen. Sehr freundliches Personal. Das Restaurant ist sehr gut besucht, was für die Qualität spricht,

Sonst holen ich meist (take away), aber nun sind wir auch mal wieder eingekehrt und haben es nicht bereut. Essen schmeckt gut und die Preise sind ok. Bedienung ist freundlich, für einen "Spruch" immer zu haben.

Waren mal wieder zum Mittagstisch mit Freunden. Unsre Freunde waren da erste mal in den Restaurant. Waren vom Essen genau so begeistert wie wir. Wir besuchen das Restaurant regelmässig seit cirka 25 Jahren. An der Qualität hat sich nichts verändert. Aus unser Sicht das beste China Restaurant in der Umgebung.

Das Essen war wirklich chinesisch und alles schmeckte gut. Die Bedienung freundlich und zuvorkommend aber die Ambiente, naja, eben chinesisch....

Herr Chan - das ist eine Institution in Preetz. Ich habe gehört, er leitet das Restaurant seit 30 Jahren. Ich kenne es seit etwa 10 Jahren. Und es ist immer wieder schön, bei ihm chinesisches Essen der Oberklasse zu bekommen. Nebst persönlichem Service natürlich. Probieren Sie es unbedingt! Und wenn es (wie bei uns beim letzten mal) einmal nicht so gut ist, dann ist das eine Ausnahme! Fast immer begeistert die Küche! Hinweis: Parkplatz am Haus. Keine Karten.

Es war viel zu tun, der Chef stark gefordert. Falsches Essen gebracht, die Korrektur dauerte etwas. Leider war das Essen auch fettig und die Saucen kein Genuss . Vorsicht: Karten werden nicht akzeptiert!
