Delicious dishes, the wonton soup was divine, wonderful spices. But everything else was also very Mendig, I'd gladly come back again.

Very extensive menu. Everything was prepared very tastefully, friendly service.

Very tasty food. Lunch specials are very affordable and include a choice of Peking soup or spring roll as a starter. The waiter's friendliness was somewhat limited – there's room for improvement there. Excellent value for money 👍.

We really like it and have been there many times. It's very quiet, the food is delicious, and the staff is friendly. Last time, we managed to get a table at the last minute. The ambiance is a bit dated, and the fact that the entrance door leads directly into the middle of the dining area isn't ideal, but unfortunately, that can't be changed. If your table is a little off to the side, it's not a problem. We highly recommend it! 😊

October 17, 2025: Unbelievable! - Leftovers disappeared! We've never experienced anything like this! We were there at lunchtime that day using the discount voucher booklet. The server announced: The lunch menu isn't valid. - Okay - We expected that. We then ordered two sweet and sour duck dishes with fried noodles from the regular menu. The food was really delicious. - There's little to complain about there. - The sauce could have been a bit better. But: The consistently unfriendly service was not to our liking. But then: We had some leftovers and (since we had two identical dishes) put them on one plate. There were probably 8-10 pieces of duck, noodles, and two decorative vegetables. We asked to have the rest packed up. It took about 10-15 minutes for the server to come back. We also asked for the bill at the same time as they were clearing the table. She then brought us a tiny, meager bowl containing what she claimed were the leftovers we had requested to take home. Absolutely ridiculous! It was at most a quarter of what we had returned. What did they do with the rest? Ate it themselves? That's unbelievable! We've never experienced anything like it.

We visited the restaurant spontaneously because we were staying overnight in Bad Oeynhausen. We were greeted by a waitress who wasn't exactly hospitable and asked if we had a reservation. We were assigned a table for two, which was fine; the menus were more or less thrown onto the table. The ambiance was Asian, but not well-rounded. There were many European/German style elements. However, the food was very tasty and plentiful. The presentation could be improved; it was just a plain spring roll on a white plate without any decoration, but as I said, the taste was good. The price was also perfectly reasonable, inexpensive. If we're ever back in town, we would visit the restaurant again.

We were there 1.5 hours before closing time. A few tables were still free. Unfortunately, the manager rudely informed us that they couldn't prepare our food in 1.5 hours. It's a shame, my Indonesian partner and I had been looking for a good Indonesian restaurant in the area for a long time. We won't be coming back here. The sound is just music to you 👎

Food was tasty, price/performance ok

We walked in around 12:30 on Sunday afternoon. Several tables were occupied. We were assigned a nice table. After a while, our order, including drinks, was taken. The drinks arrived. We had to wait an hour for the food. The hot plate was cold again. My meal (No. 28 Bami Goreng) was good. The other dish, sweet and sour pork, was quite dry, and the extra sauce was very thin. The service was also rather lackluster.

Three of us were here for lunch today. Highly recommended. Nice little restaurant. We had three different dishes, all of which were truly delicious.

Happy to be there, without the big wow

The food was truly delicious. It wasn't overly spicy. The selection of dishes lived up to expectations for a Chinese restaurant. The set menus sounded interesting for groups. Unfortunately, we couldn't agree... The service was OK. The long wait between the starter and the main course was a bit annoying. Since it was very busy (Sunday dinner), however, this was overlooked. There were only two servers for the entire restaurant, and they even took care of the drinks preparation themselves. The ambiance was OK, too. The cutlery seemed rather cheap. The carpet could use a thorough cleaning. Otherwise, it was clean. We felt comfortable. At around €100 for five people, including drinks, it's perfectly acceptable. However, we didn't overspent on the food selection that day. All in all, we can recommend the restaurant. Have fun trying it out for yourself.

We had lunch there on Sunday! My wife and I each had sweet and sour pork. It's served with rice, but I wanted noodles. Even though they have countless dishes with noodles, they had the nerve to charge me €3 to change my order. And that's despite the fact that either rice or noodles cost €3 each as an additional portion. The meat was of very low quality, the service was quite pleasant, but the ambiance is subject to too many subjective impressions; that's why I say it suited the restaurant well.

Kitchen closes at 8:30 PM!!! They're full!

Paid parking spaces that require payment via a mobile app. You don't get a parking ticket, and there are no barriers. Violation costs a €50 fine. I won't do it again...

We were there today with three people. We waited about 20 minutes for drinks. The service was very lackluster and not particularly friendly. The food was good. The ambiance could use some improvement. We were there with the Schlemmpass (splurge pass), but it wasn't particularly well-received.

After more than an hour, the food still hadn't arrived. When we asked, we were told it would take another 20 minutes. So we paid for the drinks and left. There isn't a single window that opens, and the air was quite heavy.

I was at Cao Restaurant in Oenhausen today, July 22, 2025. The atmosphere is okay. When we started ordering, I ordered the 40a from the menu. When I asked for the sauce to be omitted, I was told there was no sauce anyway. In short: I received the dish drenched in sauce. What a shame! The dish itself was good, but I would have appreciated a bit more attention when ordering... It could have been a sauce I'm allergic to 🤦‍♂️

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance on our weekend trip. From the outside, it already looked very well-kept. After a bit of a wait, we received our Cao appetizer plate. The quantity was perfectly adequate and the flavor was perfect. The price was also reasonable. Thank you for the pleasant time spent with you.

Unfortunately, I don't understand the positive reviews. We were there during our lunch break. It took half an hour for the appetizer to arrive, even though it wasn't busy. The spring roll was really tasty, but the chicken, unfortunately, wasn't. There was barely any food, lots of breading and bones... I'm not used to that at a Chinese restaurant.

We had M16 and M17 from the lunch menu. It was delicious; the duck was pleasantly crispy, the sauces were served separately, and the vegetables were crunchy. Both the Peking soup and the spring rolls were excellent. The service was super friendly, and the prices are very reasonable, especially considering the proximity to the spa gardens.

The food was delicious; the S3 menu was highly recommended. Plenty for two people. Includes starter and dessert.

We (2 women) went to Cao on Wednesday with the gourmet block. (Chinese RESTAURANT). We ordered the menu for 2. As a starter you could choose between Pekimg soup or spring rolls - both very tasty. The main course was a large plate with various delicacies decorated with orange slices. 2 sauces - 1 sweet and sour, 1 spicy. Everything was very tasty and tasty. For dessert we chose ice cream. Came with 1 lychee. The ambience is a bit old. The service was friendly and attentive. We will come back without a gourmet block.

We ate here with 4 people on February 1st, 2025 after a visit to the GOP and were unfortunately completely disappointed. There was a thin wire about 25mm long in my spring roll, and the waitress didn't even offer an apology other than an “Oh” and a shrug of the shoulders. The other dishes that evening were also just average, almost everything from a deep fryer with two different sauces, but that's all a matter of taste. What's not good at all is the condition of the toilets in the basement, they are completely dirty and haven't been cleaned for a long time, absolutely disgusting! We will never visit this Chinese restaurant again, 1 star is actually too much!

The staff is friendly and accommodating. The food in this case was duck in satay sauce, a dream both in terms of quality and taste. It could only have been a little more sauce. So the food is quite tasty so far, but it could be designed a little more lovingly. The service, i.e. friendly, is different. There is no proper greeting and you ask where you can sit, Word waves his arm and says "there". For me, service is also part of a nice meal, I think it's a shame that you can't be a little friendlier with a few people.

The cao is located directly at the spa park. It was really busy around lunchtime. Nevertheless, the service had everything under control and was friendly and quick. The food was of good quality. The prices outside of the lunch menu are surprisingly cheap. The portions are generous, so that everyone leaves the restaurant full and satisfied. The ambience could use some freshening up. Conclusion: great prices, good quality. Recommended.

Trying to order takeout at 9:30pm on Friday, the restaurant is officially open until 10pm. They said over the phone that the kitchen had already closed. Ok, I can still understand that. Tried again on Saturday at 8:40 p.m., again the kitchen had already been cleaned and therefore closed. I've never experienced anything like that, they don't seem to need any customers.

I recently visited Cao Restaurant and was completely satisfied. The staff is very nice and accommodating, which makes the visit really pleasant. The food is incredibly tasty and visually appealing. The furnishings are beautifully designed and create a cozy atmosphere. I can definitely recommend Cao Restaurant and would love to come back!

No Asian flavours, just generally "asian" ingredients put together without care for taste. And the service clearly didn't want to be at work. So disappointed.

An experience dinner We visited the above restaurant with 5 people. The menu made a good and varied impression. When the food came, the fun began. The “crispy duck” (name of the dish) was anything but crispy. -No problem, it happens. The service lady was ordered to our table and pointed out that the duck, which was declared crispy, unfortunately did not live up to her promise. The lady just mumbled: “Yes, she has to.” She removed her from the situation. For a moment we thought she was going to get the cook or something similar. No, she just left the customer sitting there. The whole thing twice. Only the young and very friendly waiter showed himself accommodating. Unfortunately, he can no longer raise the rating of the service. It's a shame that you have to give one star here. Then the bill. The duck was actually on the bill... Stunned from start to finish. The remaining dishes: The fried rice was edible. Likewise the beef. But the fun continued with all the breaded dishes. It feels like only leftover meat like cartilage and bones are processed here. A piece of plastic in the rice is often served with it. Once and never again.

Never again !! 👎👎👎 The "crispy duck" according to the menu was a wobbly something like a "mini duck", and the sauce served with the dish had the consistency of jelly pudding. I then politely complained about the duck to the “mistress of the house” because I would like it to be crispy too. Then the unbelievable thing began, because she just let me sit at the table with a shrug of the shoulders and concentrated on other guests. When I spoke to her again at the counter, having meanwhile gotten up from the table with my four companions, and described her behavior towards me as not necessarily customer-friendly, she disappeared into the kitchen and was no longer seen. I was once again a little surprised and without any significant results!? The waiter, when approached on his "next round", didn't find my complaint particularly noteworthy, but was willing to organize a replacement. Since my guests were now almost finished with their food, the waiter was allowed to clear away mine, which was of course now cold, untouched. I'll keep it short now... It was only when I explicitly asked when paying the bill whether my dish was also on it that the option of being able to delete this amount came up. I don't want to go into detail about the quality of my guests' food - their enthusiasm was about the same as my own. What a store...!? I've actually never experienced anything like that, even in the worst rest stop in Albania! In fact, not even one “mandatory star” is justified at this point!

Average Chinese with a huge menu at the expense of taste. We ate a Chinese plate that looked very appetizing, but the sauces could have been better seasoned. The fact that the peanut sauce was a solid cream wasn't great either. Beef with onions was ok, sweet and sour pork was actually missing the sauce. Service polite but inattentive, probably due to the fact that the two of them handled the service alone. The restaurant is well attended, which is probably due to the pleasing prices. Conclusion: inexpensive, it tastes reasonably good, you get full and are a little disappointed.

It is recommended to book a table in advance or early enough. The food is very good and wholesome here. The service is nice and friendly, especially the waiter. As always, we were shown to our table. The food we ordered came within a short time. We will come back.

Very tasty food and not a buffet!

We couldn't understand the good reviews. It wasn't because of the good food. But it's cheap. That's why everyone likes it. The meat is cheap, the vegetables have a strange taste and even the rice is fluffy and bland. When you enter the store, you immediately see the completely dirty carpet and meet a grumpy waiter. That should have been enough of a sign for us. We'd rather drive a few kilometers further, I don't recommend this.

Das China, Restaurant CAO In Bad Oeynhausen bietet ein gutes chinesisches Essen in einem etwas sterilen Ambiente. Der Service ist freundlich, wenn auch nicht gerade der schnellste und aufmerksamste. Grundsätzlich kann man hier sicherlich gut essen gefühlt hätten die Portionen ein wenig größer sein können. Somit solide drei Sterne für das Restaurant.

Das Essen und die Portionsgrößen sind sehr gut, der Service dagegen leider relativ langsam und das Ambiente nicht so schön. Dennoch kann man dort alles in allem gut essen.

Mein Hühnchen sehr trocken, die Sauce pappig und lauwarm, von meinem Mann die Ente war gut. Wir hatten den Schlemmerblock, zum Glück, dann musste ich mich so ärgern. Wir werden nicht wieder kommen

We ordered chicken & beef, the beef curry was really delicious, whereas the chicken with coconut milk was a little bit salty. Though it looks good. The food was served quickly & nicely. The decoration is good, but the chairs were a bit dirty. The staff are really good and friendly. The price is reasonable. The curry they served was much more we have expected, it was difficult to finish the food! The people who eat less, they can order one dish for two people.
