China Palace feels a bit like an all-inclusive resort. The all-you-can-eat concept is reminiscent of those typical scenes: towels already laid out on the loungers by the pool in the morning, and later plates heaped with meat and fish that end up on the grill first. What bothers me most is the mindless piling of dishes on a plate, combinations that don't enhance each other, but rather crowd each other out. As if quantity is more important than harmony. While you could easily walk back. And yet... let's be honest: the children are having a blast. For them, it's a celebration of abundance and choice. Their enjoyment makes you join in, not for the refinement, but for the togetherness.

I've been there a ton, thanks to various family birthdays. Much of the hot food there is relatively consistently good, but when it comes to the sushi, whether delivered or eat-in, I advise everyone to stay away. First of all, the online order was over 20 euros, the rice was horribly dry, and everything was smeared with wasabi, which isn't very pleasant if you prefer to enjoy sushi with just soy sauce. But even if you're in the restaurant, there are usually flies buzzing around the sushi area, and the sauce is just dry there, too. Honestly, my assumption is that they took the sushi from the buffet and then put it in the order box. Oh, and as someone who took the time to read the response, I honestly don't think the people there care what we write here, since every response is the same regardless of the star count. Everything clearly described and if you have any questions, the staff will be happy to help you. Good price/quality ratio. The restaurant is spacious (the tables are sufficiently spaced). There are sufficient parking spaces at the side and back of the restaurant. We will definitely come back!

The food is delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is pleasant and clean. I particularly like the fact that the food is constantly being replenished, allowing you to take your time to enjoy everything in peace. Seats in the back were warm. Enough choice with wok/grill. All in buffet in the evening around €30 incl. non-alcoholic drinks and hot drinks. Drinks are self-service, alcoholic drinks via the bar, is then cheaper in combination with all in buffet.

The 3rd piece of fish from the warming container was sour... eaten out of politeness. Once home, the sour fish wanted out and I hung above the toilet for half an hour. It is certainly not worth the price and it will soon cost you €35 per person and you will be left with food poisoning as well. Worthless company.

The Cina-Palast Restaurant is located outside the city center of Kleve. We got a place here at lunchtime without a reservation. The food was tasty and wholesome.

My review relates exclusively to home delivery: I was always quite skeptical about the China Palace. Frequent changes of ownership and stories from the past about closures by the health department were burned into my memory. When I heard that there was now a delivery service and friends of ours were also very satisfied, I gave it another chance. And what can I say: The food was really delicious and seemed absolutely fresh, and the delivery was very quick. The portions were so big that we ate it for two days (although it wasn't cheap either). I have now ordered there two more times and the first impression has been confirmed. As I said, I can't say anything about the food on site in terms of ambience, friendliness of the staff, etc. But I absolutely recommend it as a delivery service. Especially since it is the only supplier of Chinese food in Kleve.

Food was mostly ok. Unfortunately the duck was very dry and not really edible. The fresh meat for the grill didn't look so convincing. The ice cream counter is anything but nice and clean. As many have already written here: more mass instead of class. The atmosphere is chic, but it is extremely loud and crowded and therefore uncomfortable. For the price I would recommend another restaurant.

For the price, you can choose menu, buffet without drinks flat rate or buffet with drinks flat rate. Depending on the number of people, the buffet variants make sense. However, it should be noted that buffet version 2 only includes non-alcoholic drinks; alcoholic drinks cost a small surcharge. Overall, variant 2 always pays off 99.99% of the time. Because the drink prices are not without, small Cola 0.3 €4, large ones €5. Mathematically: If I take a buffet without a flat rate, I end up with 2 non-alcoholic drinks above the price of the buffet price with a drinks flat rate. So take a closer look and calculate. There is nothing to complain about about the ambience and friendliness is very important. The selection of food is also very large and we like it very much there. We'll be back.
