Chillito in Ennepetal

First, the positive: the food is okay, as is the ambiance and service. However, if I don't have 3 of the 7 bottled beers on the menu, then I should either organize my drinks purchases better or revise the menu. The worst, however, are the Tex-Mex dishes, which unfortunately have absolutely nothing to do with Tex-Mex. The quality is okay, but they're not Tex-Mex. Almost all the typical spices are missing: no cumin, coriander, or oregano. You won't find any jalapenos either, not to mention the heat. Plus, there's a light brown sauce smothered all over everything, presumably made with butter. Why? Tacos (I know them as hard pastries) are identical to burritos. Maybe the schnitzel and Balkan grilled dishes are good, I can't judge that, but the Tex-Mex dishes definitely have nothing to do with Texas or Mexico. Where does the chef actually come from?

Top-notch shop, amazing cocktails, amazing food, a great atmosphere, and very friendly staff. It's worth a visit.

A thoroughly successful evening at Chillito Ennepetal As soon as we entered Chillito, we were warmly welcomed and escorted directly to our table – a lovely start to a relaxing evening. The menu arrived promptly, as did our drinks, and we immediately felt well looked after. The appetizer platter for two was a real highlight: sumptuous, lovingly presented, and a real hit in terms of flavor. The main courses were also fully impressive – each one was not only delicious but also generously portioned. You can tell the passion that goes into the cooking here. To round things off, we treated ourselves to a few cocktails, which were simply fantastic: fruity, refreshing, and perfectly chilled – a real treat! We would particularly like to highlight the service: consistently attentive, friendly, and with a smile. This makes you feel truly welcome as a guest. In conclusion: Chillito is a place where good food, great drinks, and friendly service come together. We will definitely be back!

Today we were there for dinner with 5 people after making a reservation from the Königsfeld clinic. The chef welcomed us very friendly, accompanied us to our table and brought us the food and drinks menu. We were given a really friendly welcome and the food was unique. Highly recommended, the price was completely OK.

I've rarely experienced such poor service—it's been like this for the last four or five times. The restaurant can only survive due to a lack of competition and regular customers. We had to wait 15 minutes for the menus, and then 20 minutes for our order to be taken, despite being told – and that was in a nearly empty restaurant! I've rarely, if ever, experienced such a lack of customer service and dedication. Nobody cares about service, neither the waitress nor the manager. It's unbelievable that this restaurant still exists.

Good service, delicious cocktails and good food, my current highlight is one of the new dishes on the additional menu - chicken with mango sorbet and peanut sauce on a bed of lettuce - simply super delicious... please add it to the main menu. We were there yesterday with a group of 16 people, none of our group knew the restaurant personally. We reserved it because it was recommended to us. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted warmly and shown to the reserved seats. I know this differently from other events, and we were also able to rearrange the tables. That's why I really liked dealing with the guest. When all participants were on site, we placed the orders. Here, too, we were not only given the cards, but were also asked whether we had ever been a guest in the house. Since this wasn't the case, we were also given recommendations regarding the food, which I wasn't the only one who liked it. Even as the evening progressed, the drinks we ordered never took long to arrive; all the employees were nice and friendly. Even when we asked the participants, no one had anything to complain about. That's why I can recommend the Chillito with a clear conscience and promise that we'll be happy to come back. Kind regards to the entire team.

Had the all you can eat ribs on Wednesday. The taste was ok. But the service was a joke: they deliberately took a lot of time with new portions so that you didn't eat so much due to time constraints. In addition, 3/4 of the portion consisted of unwanted chicken wings because they are simply cheaper. The owner didn't allow himself to be discussed. I wish it cost a few euros more or that the all-you-can-eat option is the same as putting on a circus

The staff is very friendly, the food always tastes very good. The restaurant is pleasant and cozy. When the weather is good, the cocktail tastes particularly good on the terrace.

We were clearly satisfied with the taste, but the prices are still too high. Unfortunately too expensive. There is also a relatively small selection of non-alcoholic cocktails. However, the cocktails were also delicious. The service was friendly and it was relatively quick for the food to arrive.

Went there yesterday to eat spare ribs. Totally disappointed. Save ribs that are too hard and too dry. For me they have to be buttery soft and come off the bone. Unfortunately they tasted like they had been in the deep fryer. Chicken wings as well. The spice was very tasty but otherwise, unfortunately for me, not a second time,

We ate here as part of the Kulinaris menu. The service was really good and gave us good advice. Even though we didn't make a reservation until 1 p.m., we were able to reserve a table. The food came quickly, was generous and tasty. The prices are reasonable. We can recommend the restaurant. We sat on the terrace and felt comfortable.

But the personal welcome and service was simply top class. The boss is so close to the customer, something that is rare these days. But all the other employees and the boss's son were also very friendly. A clean and nice atmosphere. And super delicious food with reasonable portions! A nice place even if you just want to sip cocktails and have a nice evening. We will be back definitely!

…die Ausgehmöglichkeiten in Ennepetal und Umgebung sind rar gesät. Erst recht wenn man nach einem guten Essen noch einen Cocktail oder einen Absacker zu sich nehmen möchte, um den Abend entspannt ausklingen zu lassen. Das Chillito in der Kölner Strasse ist daher nach über 13 Jahren am Platz eine Instanz die sich hinter Großstadtclubs nicht verstecken muss. Die mexikanische Küche ist facettenreich, rustikal aber in jedem Fall reichhaltig und genussvoll. Ich spreche nicht von haute Cuisine, - das wäre fehl am Platz - doch vom anrichten bis zum Mund eine kulinarische Schmeichelei deren Erinnerung auch nach verlassen der Lokalität länger nachwirkt. Die Getränke zu vorderst das Bier vom Fass, über verschiedene Weine, über eine gut sortierte Gin Theke lassen auch bei Kennern keine Wünsche offen. Glücklich wer in Ennepetal wohnt oder gefahren wird, denn bei dieser Auswahl ist man geneigt den einen oder anderen Cocktail, oder Gin oder Single Malt oder, oder auszuprobieren. Das alles präsentiert von einem absolut freundlichen und kompetenten Team, das nicht zuletzt vom Besitzer selbst unterstützt ständig aber dezent ums Wohlergehen der Gäste bemüht ist. Bleibt nur noch zu erwähnen das die Preise für diesen. - in allen Belangen - Komfort mehr als angemessen sind und wir immer wieder gerne hier hin kommen…

The food was OK, but unfortunately it didn't really blow me away: the mushrooms in garlic cream were more like a soup...few mushrooms, but too much sauce. The con carne buritto only tasted of tomatoes and salt...the fries were good. Unfortunately, it was very loud, so that you could hardly hear the person accompanying you. When we entered the restaurant, despite having a reservation, we were asked straight away how long we wanted to stay... left a strange impression.

Absolute enthusiasm! A real master chef for grilled food is at work here! The boss himself also comes to the table and advises on what to eat. The ambience and service are also great! Definitely a recommendation to stop by!

Hallo liebe Leser, nach einem Besuch der Kluterhöhle, welcher übrigens auch sehr zu empfehlen ist, bin ich mit meiner Lebensgefährtin hier eingekehrt. Wir haben das Restaurant nach Rezensionen ausgewählt und wurden in diesem Fall nicht enttäuscht. Die 4,5 Sterne mit Tendenz zur 5 Sterne Bewertung ist hier auf jeden Fall kein Fake, sonder Fakt. Wir waren rundum zufrieden und können einen Besuch hier sehr empfehlen. Wir wurden trotz voller Hütte sehr zuvorkommend bedient. Das Essen war reichhaltig und lecker. Sollten wir den Ort nochmal besuchen kommen wir sehr gerne nochmal hier her. Vielen Dank an den Gastwirt und die Küche Bis bald.

Ich bin in Ennepetal aufgewachsen, nach Gevelsberg gezogen und mittlerweile wohne ich in Witten. Wir hatten heute einen schönen 2. Weihnachtstag mit meiner großen Familie,die mittlerweile alle verteilt sind. Dortmund, Bochum, Witten und ich wusste das dieses Lokal unser sein wird. Ein Essen unbeschreiblich, eine familiäre Atmosphäre, so liebevolle Inhaber. Das nenne ich mal eine Mexikanische Deutsche Freundschaft! Wer hier nicht auch mal unter der Woche ein leckeres Essen genießt, ist selber schuld!!! Sorry lieber 10 als nur 5 Steene… Damke, bis bald…

Gemütliches Restaurant, Kellner sehr nett und Top, Gerichte haben ihren Preis... Hab einen "Mix-Teller" bestellt der nicht wirklich mix war? 5 Cevapcici und 1 Hähnchenspieß. Geschmacklich okay

Das Lokal gibt es mittlerweile seit 13 Jahren. Ambiente sehr schön. Gemütlich zum Essen oder zum trinken, draußen wie drinnen. Ich gehe schon seit ein paar Jahren immer gerne alleine, mit Freunden oder meiner Freundin ins Chillito. Ich bin immer über die Gastfreundschaft überrascht. Ich fühle mich sehr gut aufgehoben dort. Die Getränke werden immer passend serviert wie man es sich wünscht. Das Essen ist wirklich extrem gut. Ich esse z.B. gerne 1 Kilo Gambas uns es war immer sehr gut. Man kann alles bestellen vom Schnitzel über Nudeln bis hin zum Salat oder Seefood. Ich habe das Gefühl das es bei weitem qualitativ das beste Restaurants in der Umgebung ist. Ich empfehle das Chillito mit der besten Bewertung weiter. Für mich das Top Bar/Restaurant überhaupt! :)
