I LOVE the food here! The glass noodle bowl with spring rolls is one of my favorite dishes! I really have nothing to complain about in that regard. However, I'm only deducting one star because the prices are a bit too high.

I visited here for the first time this week and really enjoyed it! The food is fresh, flavorful, and plentiful. If you don't get full, it's your own fault! The selection of dishes is such that there's something for everyone. Another positive: the large selection of vegan and vegetarian dishes! The service is very friendly and attentive. The location is central, and you can admire the hustle and bustle on Leopoldstraße and Münchner Freiheit. The restroom is very clean. The only thing I couldn't get used to were the small plastic chairs, and I was glad I found a table with a bench by the window.

I've been coming once a week since it opened. Unfortunately, the quality has declined in all areas over the past few months: The portions are smaller, and the baguettes have significantly less topping. In the past, requesting "extra spicy" was no problem at all and was noted in the order with a smile. Now, of course, Banh Mi has to be unwrapped and seasoned again... But maybe that's for the better - I always order explicitly vegan, and yesterday was the third time in two months that I came home and received two sandwiches with meat, which I then had to give away. It's all a real shame - I'll have to find a new place...

Everything was perfect. The curry and pho were very tasty and the portions were a good size.

Easily our most-frequently visited place to eat in Munich. The flavours are incredibly rich and that at very fair prices. Lots of good vegetarian options too. Portions are generous and you get lots of varied vegetables. Our favourites are the red curry and the pho, as well as the iced coffee and ice teas.

Enjoyed a cold noodles seitan bowl and homemade melon soda on a hot summer day. Very affordable and light but filling dinner 🍜

A classic Vietnamese restaurant with a Southeast Asian fast-food feel. Very tasty dishes. Also suitable for quick takeout. However, orders are sometimes forgotten, so you should always ask if something is going to take a little longer, otherwise you'll end up waiting forever.

Great spot for Vietnamese food in Munich. The menu is extensive—different types of noodles (broth and dry), vegetarian options, and even sandwiches. I had a noodle soup: overall tasty and fresh, though the broth could have been more flavorful. Service was friendly and quick. The ambiance is warm and authentic, with tables that remind me of what you’d find in Vietnam. Seating available both indoors and outdoors, but it’s also possible to do take away. Convenient location right by the U-Bahn and tram stops. I’d come back, especially to try the dry noodle dishes and veggie options.

A nice place with very nice product. The self service way to get your food is rather complex but is well compensated with a fair price and good food. Atmosphere in the restaurant is also good, makes it feel like you are bot in Munich anymore for a little while.

My personal favorites at Chi Thu are the delicious banh mi and the gyozas – both boast fresh ingredients and great flavor. The rice noodle dishes are also very tasty and offer a nice change. In addition to these dishes, there are other variations, so there's something for every taste. The colorful ambiance with the simple plastic chairs creates an authentic street food atmosphere – honest and uncomplicated. If you're looking for good food in a relaxed atmosphere, you'll definitely find it here.

The pho was amazing, very herby and broth was flavorful. Braised pork was delicious also, and very authentic. Atmosphere was lively- seating by the street was very nice, and cashier was super nice.

We ordered beef bahn mi which was an 8.4/10, and the bun ga (noodles with grilled chicken) and the chicken was so dry, not enjoyable and when we told the kitchen they didnt really care. Don’t get the chicken. They don’t care about making customers happy

I like the food, which is now the only reason I still go to CHI Thu on Leopoldstraße. The staff is truly unfriendly. You're either completely ignored or rushed off. I also find the cost of to-go boxes completely unreasonable, considering that a family has spent at least €65 on food.

This is where you can find (in my opinion) the best banh mi in Germany. The staff is friendly and the shop feels authentic. I recommend this place to everyone.

I got takeout. It was ready quickly, tasted good, and the portion size was generous! I would definitely recommend taking takeout!

Here too, the food has unfortunately become extremely expensive and does not really correspond to the quality. Although the restaurant looks quite nice, it is more of a snack bar and the seating is not very comfortable. The worst are the old sewing tables that have been converted into dining tables, where you simply cannot put your bowl very well. That's one thing. The other is that they charge 50 cents for to-go bags and you have to pay extra for tap water. I also once saw a HEAVILY PREGNANT woman come into the shop and ask if she could just quickly use the restroom. She wasn't a customer, but emphasized at the cash register that she often came in to eat, but the employees didn't care. She was supposed to pay the original 50 cents, which she didn't have on hand, and she was actually refused access to the restroom. Unbelievable.

The Banh Mi tasted good, but there are better alternatives in Munich. It could have been a bit more filling.

Simply good Vietnamese food at fair prices. I recommend the tofu banh mi, the buns, and the chicken wings! The interior is authentic, and the location on Münchner Freiheit is simply fantastic!

This pork chop set meal (No. 73) is my absolute favorite! 😍It costs €14.5 (it used to be €13.9, but the recent tariff changes might have caused a slight price increase). For that price, you get a bowl with two pork chops, a fresh salad, a fried egg, and a bowl of soup. You may not be able to see the eggs 😂because I accidentally stirred it and then remembered to take a photo after stirring 📸I especially love the flavor of the soup—it reminds me of the meals I used to have in my high school mensa. My friend, on the other hand, is a big fan of the braised pork set meal (No. 70). He thinks it tastes even better than No. 73. Personally, I think both are worth trying!

Actually I loved the place and I went there frequently. Today I was on my daily walk and I needed to use the bathroom before buying a water to go. I’m 8 months pregnant and I was very rude called up the stairs that it’s only for customers… the restaurant across the street were friendly enough to let me use their bathroom

I dined at this restaurant on two occasions. As I am not a Vietnamese cuisine expert, my review reflects my personal preferences. The food was enjoyable, though not particularly memorable. My first visit included two soups, one with a meat broth and the other with chicken broth; both were tasty, but not compelling enough to inspire a return trip. During my second visit, I ordered a pork dish that was slightly too salty. It should be noted that the service was prompt, and overall, the food was quite pleasant.

My boyfriend and I get food-to-go from Chi Thu quite often, actually because we find the food very tasty. There have been occasional order mix-ups, which can happen when things are busy. Most of the time we noticed it right there. Today we didn't check again whether everything was correct, but we noticed an order with chicken (we are vegetarians). So I cycled back for 15 minutes to tell the employees about the mix-up. We had the wrong order untouched. The only thing you could do was give us a little extra tofu. Instead, they didn't want to give us the dish we actually ordered. So we had to pick the meat out of the meal and eat a completely different order :( I found it really unfortunate and uncooperative. Especially since the food isn't particularly cheap

Food delicious. I deducted one star because it could have been a little cleaner. I also found the fish sauce to be too inconsistent - hardly any flavor and too salty. But you can still come here and eat quickly and easily.

Definitely recommended, authentic Vietnamese cuisine, fresh, healthy and very tasty! The food is also visually beautifully presented, the eye eats with it! Definitely a bit crowded! But honestly even though it was so crowded I was in and out with my food within 15 minutes. Overall, the banh mi was pretty damn good (I got the 1st option) and definitely worth the price point (7.90€.) I would definitely come back! The grilled pork is very very salty that is not edible. I feedback to the chef and waiter, yet they did not do anything. I have to asked for hot water to wash off the saltiness of the pork. I hope they will have a way of fixing the food when client feedback

Had Vietnamese summer rolls with shrimp and the shrimp were still raw inside!! That doesn't work at all!

Self-service is out of the question. A menu isn't made, then the napkins run out and Chefe wants 40 cents for some aluminum paper, while I left €122 in the store for 5 people. The quality of the food was medium at best, everything came at once, while the starters were cold and the soups were unnaturally spicy and overly salty. Tables not cleaned and overall very unfriendly team climate. If the head chef can't handle the pressure and stress when the business is booming, maybe think about a change or, if that's the executive floor, change his concept. My 12 year old niece liked the store. Unfortunately for us it was the first and last time. With so many employees working at the same time, more service, but above all friendliness and more cleanliness can be expected at this time. Unfortunately there won't be a next time to take photos, but you can imagine the points too. Maybe we'll come back in a year and see for ourselves that things have improved.

Always with great pleasure - the waitresses are very attentive and accommodating, the ambience is beautiful anyway and the vegan food is always phenomenal. The strawberry lassi in particular is a MUST for me 🤤💖

For me it's currently the best Vietnamese in Munich, just because of the Wed train. The price is absolutely right for Munich, as the quality and the portions are right, so you are always full but not full afterwards. In addition, the service is friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed and the location is clean. You should always allow for a little time, as the food is always freshly prepared in front of you.

The food is actually always great. I only had to notice that the crispy/soft and larger bánh mì bread had been replaced by a smaller and bone-dry baguette. You shouldn't let your quality slide like that.

I ate at this restaurant many times before, but I am very disappointed last time when the waitress mistakenly ordered my chicken wings as chicken curry. It’s like she couldn’t understand what I said and had no manners. When I found out they made the wrong dish, no body apologized or tried to make compensation.

Chi Thu Imbiss/Restaurant, located in Munich Freiheit, offers excellent Vietnamese cuisine, especially the popular Bún Bò Huế. The broth is tasty, rich and refined with lots of meat and sausage. The ingredients, especially the fresh salad, complement the dish perfectly. The friendly and attentive staff complete the pleasant dining experience. Overall, a clear recommendation for lovers of Vietnamese cuisine!

Conveniently located on a street corner in a busy area Chi Thu offers a good range of Vietnamese/Asian food. The food quality is decent but not highly refined. As much of the food ingredients are partially prepared the service and preparation time is fast. It's self-service as in most of these places. Staff is friendly and helpful. It has the typical Asian streetfood ambience but upgraded to satisfy European taste. They have good outdoor seating as well.

I was there yesterday for the first and last time in my life. The location is excellent, right in the center but otherwise, it is to be forgotten. I took a lemonade so sweet that if it didn't cost around 5 euros I would have left it there. The food was not good, starting from the presentation to the taste. There are much better restaurants nearby

The food itself is okay, but everything else is naughty. I bought a curry for 12.90, it came with a tiny bowl of rice. I then had to pay another 1.90 for the second helping. And that for lunch. I think it's outrageous, in every other restaurant you just get a reasonable amount of rice and, if you wish, a free second helping. The bowl of rice costs a few cents to produce...

We come here again and again, the food is really, really good, super freshly prepared and has never disappointed us. We usually each have a main course and then share a dessert. Delicious. Ok, it's really the simplest ambience. But I understand Chi Thu as a street food place and that's okay.

Unfortunately, quality has deteriorated significantly. We received stale bread for the banh mi, but unfortunately ordered 4 times to take away. We only noticed it when we got home.

The food is great! I have already tried many dishes. Unfortunately, I have repeatedly noticed that the young man at the checkout acts passive aggressively towards customers - during my stay he managed to visibly annoy 2 other customers. The cashier doesn't like it when you can't name the numbers straight away, and he also doesn't like to help you if you want to locate another customer's dish on the menu. It wasn't like there was a rush behind me, which I would understand. Despite the mechanical operation, I will come back because of the good food and will no longer expect friendly service. Addendum: Today another young man served me extremely nicely and professionally. Everything done right. I am positively surprised!
