A very cozy restaurant with a beautiful garden area, where you sit on long benches at wooden tables. The service was good, we were served quickly. The food was very well prepared and we enjoyed everything. There is a small lunch menu from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. The prices for the lunch menu are around 13 euros. Can recommend the restaurant.

The food was truly outstanding. We ordered a variety of dishes and shared them, which allowed us to experience a wide range of flavors and textures. Each dish was meticulously prepared, bursting with fresh ingredients and authentic Vietnamese flavour. The service was equally impressive. Our food arrived quickly, and the staff were attentive and friendly throughout our meal. The combination of great food and efficient service made for a wonderful lunch experience.

Awesome location, hidden little jungle in an in-yard of Mitte. They have a nice selection of Vietnamese drinks, like a Ca Phê, or some mixed juices and homemade lemonades. Expect to pay around 5 to 6€ for a non alcoholic beverage if you just come for a tee or coffee break. They also have food, classic Vietnamese offer.

We discovered this enchanting Vietnamese restaurant by chance. Even the entrance is designed like a garden oasis. Bamboo and a fountain with fish. In the restaurant there are typical lights and simple benches with tables. At the counter there is a great selection of teas in sturdy glass containers. From the restaurant you can access the leafy garden with lanterns, Buddhas and simple seating. It was busy at lunchtime. Our food was very good, fresh ingredients and a feast in terms of taste. Interesting selection of tea specialties. Toilets very clean.

Delicious food, great teas. The rice table looked great, unfortunately the many bones in the fish spoiled the enjoyment a bit. The staff is very friendly, the prices are in the upper segment, but you don't get run-of-the-mill dishes.

A wonderful place for a little break from the stressful hustle and bustle in Mitte around Rosenthaler Platz. Everything is reminiscent of the old teahouses of Hanoi and you feel like you are on a sudden short vacation in Vietnam. A 100% recommendation is the tea time, with great tea and a nice selection of sweet and spicy little things. Simply great and wonderfully more authentic than the usual, boring and same old Vietnam restaurants in the city

Amazing restaurant! A little bit hidden but we ended up finding it. The decoration and setting are superb. Ideal for sharing a moment while eating good Asian food. We shared an assortment of starters. The staff is friendly and the service is fast. Very nice discovery today!

The foods are okay, the service was the worst and for the hygiene ,they didn’t care at all. If they can little bit take care of that, perhaps will be better! So schade ☹️

Food beautifully presented but not at all convincing in terms of taste. The service wasn't really attentive. 2 wines on the menu were no longer available and the one we ordered was not drinkable. It's a shame, because the atmosphere is really nice and cozy!

Definitely disappointing. The decoration is amazing, but that’s actually the only positive thing I would say about this place. Staff were not very friendly, the food I ordered was quite tasteless and served cold… And they don’t accept card payments. Price would be ok if the quality was better. Definitely not worth a visit compared to the many other amazing Vietnamese restaurants in Berlin.

Really great atmosphere! An insider tip if you are traveling around the Alex and the Hackesche Höfe. Like a little paradise where you can take a vacation from everyday life with delicious food and great drinks. Recommended!

We passed by and decided to stop in, it looked very nice and cozy. We saw a lot of free tables on the patio, but they were all reserved and they offered to share a table with other guests. Although we wanted to eat quickly and that's all. I doubt that tables were actually reserved. the staff is not friendly at all , menu was dirty and only 4 choices of main dishes . So we left without ordering anything.

Food was good. But the ambience and service are just wow. I would definitely go there again just for this beautiful facility. I would simply recommend that you take a look at it. One of the best visual restaurants in Germany.

I put two stars for the decent food. otherwise one star would be enough. we were 12 people and we had to pay for an extra dish that we hadn't ordered otherwise they wouldn't let us leave. a dish arrived with chicken that we had not ordered and we sent it back. at the end of the evening they wanted us to pay for that dish. shameful! and also you can not pay with the card under 50€!!! absolutely not recommended.

The food and the place are fine! The atmosphere is nice. However the service was really disappointing. For a bill close to a hundred euros, the restaurant didn't accept cards. That's common in Berlin, but it wasn't displayed on the door. But most importantly, the waiter didn't even bother giving me my change. He just kept it as a tip and told us goodbye. This behaviour is unacceptable. This kinda ruined the experience, although everything else was rather fine.

Food was very good as always, but now card payments only start at EUR 50.00. Maybe the tax office should come here for a tea time.

I find it strange when you have a tea house concept, so I visit it but am asked to leave after an hour if I don't order food. I have never experienced such unfriendly staff. Even when I ordered snacks and dessert, I was still asked to leave immediately after eating them and was treated poorly throughout my entire stay. I think it's a shame because the teas were incredibly tasty. I will no longer enter the teahouse.

After a long time we visited one of our favorite restaurants for Vietnamese cuisine again. Because of the bad weather in the restaurant indoors. As always, very fast service and all the different dishes were super tasty. We will come back

Just another Vietnamese eatery in the city. Atmosphere is nice, service and food is average but the prices are very high.

Actually my favorite restaurant. I go here with all my out-of-town guests because the food is good and the ambience is spectacularly beautiful. And then they come back alone the next time they visit Berlin. The service seems to be family-like; the young men and women are very interested in ensuring that the guests have a good time. The non-alcoholic cocktails and the rice platter are really great.

Whenever I visit Berlin, the restaurant is my first stop (hidden in the back yard). The atmosphere is very appealing, both inside and outside in summer. You immerse yourself in another world. The menu is quite limited, but there is definitely something for everyone. The food is very tasty and attractively prepared. Unfortunately, card payment is not possible.

Aufgrund einer Empfehlung bin ich mit meinem Freund ins Chen Che. Da wir sowieso die Asiatische Küche lieben und ich eine Teeliebhaberin bin hat es sich gut angeboten. Ich kann nur sagen er war der Oberhammer!! Das Essen ist super lecker und der Tee war auch sehr lecker. Kommen definitiv nochmal wieder.

Seit Jahren bin ich Stammgast im vietnamesischen Restaurant Chén Chè in Berlin. Leider war mein letzter Besuch im Januar 2024 enttäuschend. Die Auswahl auf der Karte ist vergleichsweise drastisch reduziert - nur noch 4 Hauptgerichte waren verfügbar, dazu wohlwollende 3 auf einer separaten Karte. Immerhin gibt es noch haufenweise sogenannte Kleinigkeiten wie obligatorische Frühlingsrollen und Dumplings. Viele meiner liebsten Gerichte sind heute ersatzlos nicht mehr auf der Karte, offenbar auf Wunsch des Chefs. Wo das Interior früher einen originalen Charme versprühte, hinterlässt der Laden inzwischen einen ungepflegten bis schmuddeligen Eindruck: angefangen von einer Speisekarte, die man kaum noch anfassen mag, angestaubte Deko und Lampen, dreckige Fenster und Türen, nicht nur die Wände wirken so, als bräuchten sie dringend eine Auffrischung. Obwohl ich bereits zwei Stunden vorher fur eine Reservierung vor Ort war, erschien eine Tischbelegung nicht möglich. Später waren nicht einmal alle Plätze besetzt. Nach diesem Erlebnis habe ich keine Pläne für einen weiteren Besuch und kann den Spot auch nicht mehr empfehlen.

I don’t know if it was intended but my noodles were uncooked. However, the other dishes were quite tasty and the atmosphere in this restaurant was very good.

O espaço, a iluminação, e o ambiente convida a entrar. No menu entregue, uma folha em anexo, também sugere o que pedir. Nos pratos partilhados de peixe e carne, ambos apresentaram alimentos frescos, com uma confecção boa mas sem exceder espectativas. O vinho pedido a copo, foi servido sem mostrar a garrafa, o que, neste caso é reprovável. Reprovável foi tb, o impedimento de pagar com cartão em facturas que não excedessem os 50€. Na verdade a informação era explícita na porta de entrada, mas, nem sempre estamos atentos aos pormenores. O staff sem grande qualificação, vai resolvendo o serviço. Preço qualidade, aceitável.

Geweldig, supervers, geweldige sfeer. Het eten komt snel en heeft zoveel smaakcomponenten in zich. Hele vriendelijke bediening. Wij vinden dit echt een topper onder de Vietnamese restaurants. Je loopt het steegje in en een beetje verborgen vind je deze parel. Let op je kunt alleen contant betalen.

Mal wieder im Chen Che gewesen und wurde maßlos enttäuscht. Das Restaurante hat super nachgelassen!!! Vorspeise kam nicht, auf Bitten diese nachzuliefern, wurde die Bedienung pampig. Hauptspeise war kalt (ein Curry, frag ich mich wie das passieren kann). Auch ansonsten waren die Speisekarten verklebt und alles wirkte unsauber. Bin sehr enttäuscht!!

Leider hat die Qualität der Speisen nachgelassen und die Preise entsprechen nicht der Qualität. Schade!

War das erste Mal hier. Bisschen eng, sitzen naja. Wir hatten von der Mittagskarte Chen Che Reis mit versch. veg. und mit Fleisch. Gab ein Süppchen, sehr lecker. Leider war das restliche Essen kalt.

Unverschämt. Hatten drei Vorspeisen. Bei dem einen war der Tofu verbrannt und hat alt geschmeckt, das andere war fad und über den Salat war statt Dressing eine Portion fertig süß-sauer Soße gekippt. Das ganze für 25€.

This is a great Vietnamese restaurant in Mitte to show off to friends visiting Berlin. It's tucked away in a random backyard with beautiful interior design. It feels authentic and lived in. The food is great as well and the tea options are vast. Yeah, the food options for main courses are limited but the portions for starters are relatively big, so you can always order more starters to share. And as for service, I can see why some people might think the service is cold and not that friendly, but I never felt like we were not welcomed - Plus, I also don't like when sevice is too overbearing and overtly friendly. Overall, I have been coming here since 2016, and it has not changed much since then, only gotten better in my opinion.

현금만 받았어요. 따뜻한 국물 먹고 싶을 때 가기 좋아요. 향신료 맛이 강하지 않아서 좋았어요. 양은 조금 적은 것 같기도 했고, 고기가 좀 질겨서 아쉬웠지만 국물도 정말 맛있었어요. 인테리어가 힙하고 특이해요.

I loved this place with my whole heart but this time I got extremely disappointed. Prices are higher than at other Vietnamese places and also differ depending on the time of the day. Absurd! Food wasn’t good as well. Plates are different from the last time: they changed authentic bowls to the cheapest ikea looking plates. No spices or anything served with food. Service is very bad, people are not friendly and don’t speak any language well (English and German). Also you cannot pay by card if you spend less than 50 euro. So we had to go to ATM. Awful experience

小洒落ているが、料理、サービスはいまいち。 オシャレなインテリアの店ですが、トンネルくぐったとこにあり、Googleマップでは少し見つけにくいです。 間違いなく目の前でドイツ語で予約してもらったけど、予約されておらず、席じゃない場所に座らされました、みなさん気をつけてください。 ベトナム料理店ですが、ヘルシーがコンセプトなのか？ビーガン向けに豆腐か肉を選べるメニュー多数。 豆腐とかいてますが、厚揚げです。 ナシゴレン？チャーハン？はおそらく後入れで豆腐か鶏肉いれていて、鶏がまさかの胸肉で固いです。 Googleレンズでみてもなにをかいているのかメニューがわかりにくいから投稿写真で選んだ方がよさそう。 生春巻き、揚げ餃子は私は美味しかったですが、香草が多いから好き嫌いが分かれそうです。 ジャスミンティーはポットではなくカフェ・オ・レボウルサイズ1杯ぶんです。 フォーはなくビーフンヌードルですが、中途半端なトマトラーメンもどきであまり口に合いませんでした。 オシャレさは満足です。

Von der Ambiente her ist dieses Restaurant kaum zu übertreffen. Das Essen war leider nicht wirklich authentisch und lecker wars auch nicht. Berlin hat bessere vietnamesische Restaurants. Die Kellner waren freundlich und aufmerksam.

Von außen in der Gasse sieht es super schön aus und auch das Ambiente ist nett zurecht gemacht, auch wenn zum Teil etwas überfüllt wirkt. Sobald man ein Fuß in Tür setzt, wartet man ewig auf einen Tisch. Man bekommt kein Hallo oder geschwiege ein Lächeln vom Personal. Der eine Service-Personal hat uns die ganz Zeit angeguckt, ist aber jedes mal an uns vorbei gegangen. Unfreundlichen Personal hoch 10. Wenn man erstmal sitzt, wartet man ewig bis man bedient wird. 30 Minuten auf ein Getränk warten? Unmöglich. Dadurch schmeckt das Essen nur halb so gut. Ich war mal ein riesen Fan. Seitdem ich zweimal enttäuscht worden bin (in der Hoffnung es wird besser), würde ich es NIEMANDEN mehr empfehlen.

Erster Eindruck: wow, sehr gemütlich hier ... dann: Kein zurück Grüßen beim Eintreten (und auch später nicht beim raus gehen) Tisch dreckig, wenig Gäste, 30 min gewartet, bevor man Bestellung aufgeben konnte, kein Lächeln, falsches Essen gebracht, sehr überwürzt, irgendwie lieblos zusammen gepampt ... Aber: Essen sieht auf den ersten Blick sehr gut aus und die Teegetränke sind auch interessant. Fazit: würde ich nie wieder hingehen und auch nicht weiter empfehlen.

Ein super Restaurant mit besonderer Atmosphäre und einem authentischen, sehr leckeren Essen! Absolot empfehlenswert!

Toller Laden, sehr gemütlich. Leckeres Essen , das Menü ist nicht so umfangreich aber sehr lecker. Es gibt viele verschiedene ausgefallene Teesorten.
