I can't comment on the food and drinks, as after 50 minutes at the table, neither food nor drinks were served. To be honest, our order wasn't taken until after a 20-minute wait. We then left and canceled the order. The service is absolutely terrible. If you want to experience uncoordinated work in a restaurant, this is the place for you. For everyone else, I recommend spending your money elsewhere.

A restaurant with poor service. We sat at our table for a good 20 minutes and no one paid any attention. I then tried to place my order at the counter, but was refused. The explanation was that someone would be right there. After another 10 minutes, we left. The place wasn't even that busy. The cake didn't look good either.

Can't say anything, couldn't order anything because nobody came, there were enough staff on site, they trotted around a bit disorientated, I didn't want to wave my arms or call out... Well, maybe I wasn't well trained

The ambiance was great, the view was also top-notch, the food itself was OK, but the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed. Generally, unfortunately, they weren't customer-friendly when it came to requests: We wanted bread with our meal - it wasn't on the menu - and after consulting the kitchen, the waiter said it wasn't available with that dish. We wanted ice cream with whipped cream instead of a waffle cone - it wasn't available either. It wasn't on the menu, either. Result: Service/kitchen were completely inflexible. They served us at our tables, but we only paid at the cash register. And the guest had to remember their own table number and give it to the cashier... I'd never experienced that before. I found it odd.

We were with a large group of about 20 guests for breakfast on the terrace in bright sunshine. As has been reported several times here, the high chairs and tables are not coordinated; either the tables are too low or the chairs are too high. The food was good, but you have to be aware of the wait for refills. Although it's fully booked, there were no long waits in line at the buffet. The bread was still warm, had a crust, and was very tasty. There were also rolls and croissants. I didn't see any seeded rolls. There were many teas to choose from and a pump-type coffee pot, which was replaced regularly. When we left around 11:00 a.m., there were even little cakes at the buffet. P.S.: You can get a free ticket for the parking lot upon request.

I recently visited this restaurant and, unfortunately, I have to say it was a disappointing experience. The first impression was anything but positive: the cleanliness left a lot to be desired, cigarettes were lying on the chairs, and trash was scattered everywhere. The service was disastrous. We weren't served at first and had to go to the counter to order ourselves. Despite asking several times about the food, only one dish arrived. After 20 minutes and the fourth time we asked, we were rudely served the wrong food. It took another 10 minutes for the correct food to finally be served, and there was no apology. Additionally, we weren't even asked for a second drink. It's a real shame, because the location is cool, but the staff and the restaurant's upkeep could greatly improve.

We ordered two waffles, the first arrived after 15 minutes, and we had to wait another 25 minutes for the second. On top of that, the service was poor, and after asking three times when the second waffle would arrive, the waitress was insulted. Overall, everything was very dirty and unkempt. The whipped cream from a can is also very disappointing!

Location: Great! It's really fun to watch the planes take off while enjoying a delicious drink. What's just not acceptable (and unfortunately, this will still be the case for many cafés and restaurants in 2025): being closed on a Saturday for a private event and not mentioning this on your Google business profile. Oh, people, that's how you annoy your customers! We'll be back, of course, but please: update the opening hours next time. Some of your customers check online for them.

Can't say anything about the place. We were sent away after sitting at our tables for 10 minutes. The reason given was that they weren't accepting new guests. Strangely, there were still rows of free tables... I'm lost for words, the place wouldn't have closed for another hour...

Today, 16 people and I had breakfast at the check-in. We were all very satisfied with the breakfast buffet. There was enough choice, something for everyone. It was truly delicious. The service was also very friendly. We'll definitely be back.

The food was really delicious, wow! 🤩 The service was top notch, 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ especially the young service staff on the team.

Great place! Delicious food and drinks! Friendly service! And a view of many airplanes. Today we even saw a zeppelin landing. A fantastic afternoon.

We made a reservation by phone on Wednesday for breakfast at 9 a.m. for the following Sunday, July 20th. No problem at all, there were seats available for five people. According to the website, it's open from 10 a.m. According to Google, it's closed on Sundays. According to the opening times on the door, it's open from 9:30 a.m. Unfortunately, we couldn't keep the promised reservation because access was only possible for a private party that day. The table reservation was well worth it... Disappointed, we went somewhere else for a leisurely breakfast.

It was a worthwhile experience, although the breakfast buffet lacked some ingredients, for example: salt! There was only one type of roll! The location itself was good.

Many thanks for the service this morning at breakfast during check-in. We felt very comfortable and were particularly impressed by the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff.

I was there with my two children and can only say good things about it. The food (check-in burger, schnitzel, and currywurst) was very fresh and delicious, the young lady serving was very friendly and quick, and the atmosphere right next to the airfield was simply something different. Thanks to good timing, we even got to see the zeppelin landing; the kids loved it. We'll definitely be back again.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it. The food (schnitzel dishes) wasn't tasty (very oily), and the service was not great (for example, we waited a really long time for mayo and ended up getting it ourselves). The shandy tasted almost like a regular pilsner. The atmosphere was otherwise very nice.

Can't understand some of the negative reviews. We went spontaneously, without a reservation, to check it out, were warmly welcomed, were able to choose a seat, and eat from the truly amazing buffet. There's something for EVERYONE. Everything's fresh. You're at the airport, so of course you hear propellers every now and then. You don't go to a butcher shop and then complain about the lack of vegetarian options. Nice, attentive waitress. We were very satisfied and will definitely come again ♥️

A super small, cold piece of sheet cake with cherry crumble for €4.20 is outrageous. The cappuccino only had milk foam... that was all disappointing. Service was very nice, outside terrace with a great view of the action

We have been checking in regularly for at least three years and have always felt comfortable there. The food was always expensive, but the ambience, the friendliness of the service and the quality of the food more than justified it. Unfortunately, that has now changed significantly. On March 18, 2025 we gave the restaurant another chance - unfortunately we were disappointed. Prices have continued to rise while portion sizes have shrunk dramatically. My burger was dry, you could count the fries, and the food only arrived lukewarm. The service was also inattentive this time, and the loud music made the ambience unpleasant. We were already disappointed on our penultimate visit - we were served a “Fish & Chips” dish for €9.90, which turned out to be a children's plate with fish fingers and a few fries. We used to enjoy checking in because the price and performance were right despite the higher costs. But now the restaurant has developed in a direction that we can no longer support. As a regular guest you will still receive a friendly welcome, but that alone is not enough. Unfortunately, that was our last visit - we can no longer recommend it.

After the renovation the ambience is more appealing, unfortunately the food on the lunch menu was not good. The pasta bake was probably in the oven too long or too often, tagliatelle with cream and salmon consisted of pasta with unseasoned cream, cocktail tomatoes and indefinable pieces that smelled fishy. Too bad.

Drinking coffee and a piece of cake. The thawed cake wasn't even the size of two small sugar packets and was still almost frozen inside. The spray cream melted immediately after serving. And €5.20 for that 🙈 Not recommended.

We were there with 6 people for the breakfast buffet on Saturday and everyone was thrilled. Great ambience (view of the airport/cozy, lovingly designed interior), landlady and staff very nice, buffet rich and high quality with coffee, tea, orange juice and milk included. The (warm) bread was great, the rolls were fresh and delicious. Price is unbeatable. We will definitely come back - for the buffet, but also for coffee and cake (waffles!) and lunch. Thank you for the lovely hours!

We have been going to the breakfast buffet with the entire family for many years. So far we have always been satisfied. But the last two times it really wasn't good. Last time, missing dishes were replenished very slowly. When asked, there was a very sloppy answer. We overlooked it, it can happen, everyone has stress or a not so good day. Today we were there again. Just the four of us. When reserving the table, we expressly requested not to be seated at one of the high tables. That's why we booked for today and not on the actual desired date, as only one of the high tables was available there. And what can I say, we were seated at a high table and it was claimed that we hadn't stated that we didn't want to be seated there. Unfortunately we felt very uncomfortable again. It will probably be our last visit there.

Quite nice, even if the furniture seems a bit thrown together. The whole thing is framed by an A320 cockpit simulator from Aerotask. You can book simulator sessions here. The service was overwhelmed. Although the café had numerous free tables, we were treated quite rudely after we asked after 30 minutes whether we could order. It was just “You see what’s going on here.” They actually weren't able to serve drinks and waffles at the same time. The waffle came after 10 minutes. The coffee and the spritzer came quite a while later.

Was there for brunch, nothing was left to be desired and is highly recommended

We celebrated our wedding here. On the one hand, the location impresses with its different areas, which was varied and great for young and old. There is always something to see. On the other hand, we were more than thrilled with the service; we were looked after wholeheartedly both during the preparation and during our wedding.

Located directly on the airfield of Mülheim Airport, the ambience promises more than it can deliver. There are actually a lot of waitresses running around, but none of them are attentive. I sat there for an hour without a drink and no one noticed. We couldn't order until we spoke to someone. The food is middle class at best, rather below.

Brunch on Saturdays... good and exceptional location. Unfortunately it's always closed quite early during the week

Nice atmosphere, unfortunately not dog friendly... I asked four different waiters for a water bowl for my dog. Everyone put me off. In the end we left the restaurant without water. The Caesar salad wasn't bad, but I've eaten it better a few times for almost €20 and not even a slice of bread. Oh well….

Good price-performance ratio and great ambience, we would like to come there again

Unfortunately, as a food allergy sufferer, I can only judge the food visually and I thought that was ok. Went there after a funeral. I can only say the following: I, an old coffee nose, fell in love with the coffee there. The staff is quick, attentive and friendly. Want to go back!

We liked the restaurant with a beer garden. You can watch planes and the Zeppelin from here. We hadn't eaten anything. But the food looked good. The main feature is burgers 🍔 and fries.

A special atmosphere, very friendly staff and a small but delicious breakfast - including coffee, tea and orange juice. There is also a view of the planes and helicopters, which can be a bit loud even outside 😄 Highly Recommended.

Very tasty food (we had the burgers with fries/wedges), nice service and when the weather is good you can watch the planes and the zeppelin take off and land from the terrace. We will be back definitely.

Cozy cafe/restaurant. The service is absolutely top! The food and also the cake are highly recommended. You can also sit outside under a roof and have a great view of the small airport.

We were just checking in for a coffee on a bike ride. But the service was friendly and the coffee was tasty. And the small planes landing were a fun change. You sit practically right next to the airport apron. We were there for breakfast a while ago. Because that was really good, now the coffee break on the bike tour.

I love this place! I go there regularly to have brunch with friends/family, but the lunch/dinner is also great! The brunch buffet is unusual (not just the typical standard items), fresh and super tasty. The schnitzel is terrific, the fries are nice and thin and crispy. But the best thing about the store is the staff. Great service and very friendly service! Always my pleasure!

The aircraft noise is unbelievable. How do the ten thousand people who live in the area feel? Their apartments vibrate when a machine thunders past every five minutes. I am amazed that a few people who are very loud can decide whether ten thousand people can enjoy peace or no peace at home. Therefore I cannot recommend this airfield and this cafe.

After a helicopter flight I drank tea there. The ambience was great and the breakfast buffet looked very good. The service was friendly. I drank tea on the terrace with a view of the runway and it was lovely in the bright sunshine

If you have to wait for the flight instructor at the airport... Always happy to sip a coffee. I would like to be there more often, but if it's closed after 5 p.m., that doesn't really work.

Ambience very nice and creative but a bit run down

Insider tip: the tastiest and nicest brunch of my life. For around €18.50 per adult (children under are free) you can enjoy the all-you-can-eat Mediterranean buffet. Everything tasted excellent. The omelet was extremely tasty. The filter coffee was very tasty. There is even lactose-free milk available upon request. Croissant and rolls, bread. Salmon, roast beef. No warm chicken nuggets might have been nice... The service was incredibly nice. We felt extremely comfortable. We will be back definitely. However, you should definitely make a reservation as it is always full.

It's a shame, we wanted to have breakfast there on Sunday with a larger group and had made a reservation, but then (of course completely spontaneously -.-) there was apparently a problem with the electrical system, so our table was under flickering lamps. This was so massive that within a few minutes we all had nausea and headaches. When we asked to give us another table, we were only told that there was nothing free and that there was nothing we could do. The person's tone spoke volumes and you could completely tell how indifferent he was to everything. Apparently people there live by the credo “eat or die”. Then we had to leave without breakfast because you really couldn't sit there. Thank you for ruining my father's birthday breakfast with this 👍👍

Das Essen und der Service sind gut. Die Lage durch den Flugplatz ist sehr interessant. Jedoch könnten die Lampen mal entstaubt werden. Der Dreck rieselt doch auf die Lebensmittel! Einfach mal nach oben schauen. Die Toiletten sind leider nicht schön und wirken wie an einer Schule. Die Sanitäranlage passt nicht zur Location.

War zum Frühstücks Buffet hier essen. War nichts besonderes, sah optisch durchschnittlich aus. Auswahl war sehr gering. Aufbackbrötchen waren nur schwer mit den vorhandenen Messern zu schneiden. Wurst und Käse waren etwas trocken. Rührei war recht laff,, kaum Geschmack. Kaffee war ganz OK.

Essen und Service absolut gut. Gestern hatten wir angerufen, da wir veganes Essen benötigten. Uns wurde zuerst gesagt, dass so spontan leider nichts organisiert werden könnte, aber als wir heute kamen gab es eine passable vegane Auswahl :) Wir saßen mit einer größeren Gesellschaft draußen, alles schick. Nur etwas blöd war, dass der Raucher Tisch direkt neben uns war. Wir hatten 2 Schwangere und ein Kind in der Truppe. Von den Rauchern hat sich niemand drum geschert, das wäre vielleicht eine Überlegung, das komplett nach draußen zu verlegen, wenn es nicht regnet.

Echt guter Geheimtipp für eine grössere privat-party z.b. zum runden Geburtstag mit Platz für 100 Gäste drinnen und draussen. Gutes Essen, gutes Personal, viele Parkplätze und niemanden, den man stören kann.

Schöne Location, super Essen, super Service.. Alles in einem ist ein Besuch beim CheckIn sehr empfehlenswert!

Das reichhaltige Frühstücksbuffet bietet für jeden Gast eine große Auswahl. Selbst Getränke wie Kaffee und Orangensaft sind im Preis enthalten. Es empfiehlt sich unbedingt die belgischen Waffeln zu probieren. Die Bedienungen sind sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und versuchen jeden Wunsch für groß und klein zu erfüllen. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich und mit der Beleuchtung super abgestimmt. Stilvolle, zeitgemäße Einrichtung und Atmosphäre. Wir kommen jederzeit gerne wieder ☺️

Das Frühstücksbüfett ist sehr lecker und einfach empfehlenswert, das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist hervorragend. Viel Auswahl, auch vegetarisch, Kaffee und O-Saft all you can Drink ... Bei welchem Frühstücksbüfett gibt es das noch? Dazu Unterhaltung durch den Verkehr auf dem Flughafen Gelände ob die kleinen privaten Maschinen, Helikopter oder Rundflüge.

Hier stimmt wirklich alles, ich habe selten so ein durchgängig freundliches Personal erleben dürfen. Hier fühle ich Nähe und eine Gemütlichkeit die es nur selten in der aktuellen Gastronomie gibt! Mein herzliches Dankeschön an das Team vom CheckIn, Ihr macht alles richtig........ Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder und das sicher häufiger als einmal.
