For the main, I went with the classic pho, and it was absolutely phenomenal. The broth is rich and aromatic, loaded with fresh veggies, herbs, and a generous portion of noodles. Each sip feels like comfort in a bowl, especially on a chilly Berlin day. One of the standout elements at Chay Village is their commitment to fresh, high-quality ingredients. Every dish tastes like it was crafted with love, free from any additives or MSG. It’s refreshing to enjoy such vibrant flavors without that overly salty aftertaste often found in restaurant dishes. The seating arrangement is cozy yet private, with both indoor and outdoor seating options. Really small portions with few pieces of tofu for 10€. No lunch offer. It’s cosy interior, service was good and the food was ok, nothing special.

Good value for money, very fast service. No alcoholic drinks available and you can only pay cash which was a bit out of the ordinary to me. The dishes we had were quite light and the portions not so big so would be nice if the menu offered appetizers as well

Average Vietnamese food. When we asked about the options for the fried noodle dish the waiter thought Seitan was meat?! not much tofu in the dish that did come. Won't be returning to this place.

We actually like the store and have been coming there for ten years. First as a couple, later with children. Today we weren't allowed into the empty store with twin strollers. He is too big. There would have been space. The idea of ​​pushing two tables together never occurred to us. In the front area of ​​the restaurant there was literally one table occupied. Instead, we should leave the car unattended outside and or wait until a table in front of the store becomes available. At almost thirty degrees with two babies. The car is exactly as wide as a wheelchair. According to the logic, wheelchair users are not allowed into this restaurant because whether it is full or empty, they are probably in the way. Too bad.

The food is always delicious and usually comes very quickly, even when it's full. The waiters are friendly and you can also sit outside in summer.

Sehr gute Küche. Alles frisch. Super Staff. Buddhistische Vibes, daher auch keine alkoholische Getränke, aber alkoholfreies Bier gibt es. Definitiv empfehlenswert.

Great finding. I am not vegan but I enjoyed my lunch very much. We were a group of four sharing our dishes and everything was great. The greatest surprise were desserts. Reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

NEVER AGAIN. Absolutely CHILDREN FRIENDLY! I've actually been going there for years and have always been satisfied. Today I stood in line with my children and was not allowed in. There were several couples (two people) sitting at tables of four or six. At some point we just sat down inside at a table of two and were treated very, very unfriendly. We would block the way, a card was slapped on us and told that we were blocking the way to the toilet. Absolutely not true. Several lovely people at other tables offered us their tables but the waiters were so unfriendly that I politely declined and told them my opinion. Now I have read the reviews here and see that I am not the first person to have been treated very unkindly to children. In addition, only cash payment is possible… that always surprises me. I've never received a receipt either. I'm definitely NOT coming back

Food was tasty, but not exceptionally good either. (Only vegetarian dishes!) Service/friendliness so average. The walls in the restaurant are completely dirty and haven't seen any color in a long time. The restaurant only has non-alcoholic drinks. Rather cheap in price.

Very nice restaurant with kind staff and good food. The red curry was light to medium spicy. Everything was cooked very well. The rooms inside could have brighter lights as they are a bit on the dark side. It is a relatively small, cozy place. Be aware that there is no card payment, cash only unfortunately.

I went there and had there soup and summer rolls which were so so good also had the springrolls which were very well made and with crispy sheets.

We often get our home office lunch here, but have also been there a few times. The restaurant itself isn't particularly cozy, but the food is really good. And above all, completely vegetarian. The prices are also really very fair. We pay around 20 euros for two meals and the portions are really generous.

We visited for the first time in 2012, and now - like today - we can be found there every two weeks for lunch on Wednesdays, super friendly, super HappiHappi, great everything, it's good that something is added to the menu every now and then.

In my opinion it was way too hyped. The starters were delicious, the main course was way too salty, the flavor was anything but natural and the peas were canned. The staff is very friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is quite good.

Wir sind extra aus Hannover zu Euch und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Den ersten Abend haben wir Chay Village besucht, haben noch einen Platz bekommen. Kaum bestellt, schon stand das Essen auf dem Tisch! Es war der absolute Oberhammer! Eine Geschmacksexplosion in idealer Portionsgröße! Am nächsten Tag haben wir telefonisch bestellt und das Essen dann abgeholt. Auch da keine Wartezeit, das Essen war schon fertig, gut verpackt und hat bis zum Hotel die Wärme behalten! Absolute Empfehlung!

If the thing we called, Food was actually also called medicine. This would be the best pharmacy in town. Not just for the quality, the safety, the care and the love, the ingredients were selected and created with, but the feeling of goodness that your body feels after consuming a meal like this is basically unparalleled. Everybody in the postmodern world can give fads about this died and that diet, but this place has been doing things most OG since forever. Most recommended.

Die Auswahl ist sehr gut und das Essen ist großartig. Auch Fleischesser werden hier eine sehr gute Alternative finden. Aus Erfahrung würde ich empfehlen, vorher zu reservieren.

Wirklich ein extrem leckeres rotes Seitan-Curry gegessen, wir hatten außerdem noch div. frittierte Dinge und eine Udonnudelsuppe, die waren ebenfalls yummy. Schade fand ich, dass es keine alkoholischen Getränke gibt, verstehe aber das Konzept und deshalb gibt´s dafür keinen Punkteabzug :) Der Service ist ein wenig "zu sehr" darauf bedacht, jeden gerade aufgegessenen Teller direkt unterm Kinn wegzuziehen, was die eigentlich mega gemütliche Stimmung etwas ungemütlich macht. Mit vier Personen möchte man einfach eine Weile sitzen und nicht nur "schnell essen", da muss auch das Restaurant für Verständnis haben :)

Ich war auf Empfehlung das erste Mal hier essen. Die Karte ist schön übersichtlich mit interessanten vegetarischen Gerichten. Ich hatte bibimbab und bin sehr zufrieden. Preislich passt es auch total. Komme gerne wieder !

Grossartiges Essen!!!! Chapeau. Innenbereich, ok. Klein und schnuckelig. Sommer draussen, eine Zumutung. Der Gast wird auf harten Klappbänken plaziert und isst hochwertig. Folkloristische Abfütterung, sorry. Man beeilt sich, zahlt und tschüss. Nee, das geht nicht, aber vieleicht doch so geplant, Menschen nicht so lange als Gast haben zu wollen. Wiegesagt....... es zählt das Essen,....... aber das kann man sich ja auch liefern lassen. Mir hat es suuuuper geschmeckt vor kurzem, aber dann schnell weg. Ein irritierter Gast, sorry.

Essen leider durchschnittlich und nichts besonderes. Das Bibimbap ist Reis mit Fleisch und einem komischen Ei - nicht so, wie man es von den Koreanern kennt bzw. deutlich einfallsloser und nicht reichhaltig. Dazu leider sehr salzig. Die Suppe war hinsichtlich der Konsistenz auch sehr dünn und daher qualitativ nicht gut. Insgesamt qualitativ leider enttäuschend.

We loved our first visit so much (day if arrival in Berlin) that we returned for our last meal before departure. Very efficient and friendly service, beautifully seasoned meals, good portion size. The place is always humming so it is necessary to book a table (inside) to secure a spot. No reservations possible for outside (?). My 87 year old aunt - interested in trying everything! - enjoyed her meals thoroughly, too. You might just need to be aware, that outside are long beer tables with benches only and inside can be a bit loud due to the kitchen and bar noise, but we did not mind to put our heads together inside and just added a coat when sitting outside. Will be back for sure on our next Berlin visit.

Bin immer wieder begeistert von dem sehr leckerem Essen. Komme immer wieder gerne hin.

Sehr lecker. Wunderbare Gemüsebrühe. Schmackhafte Saucen. Gerichte mit frischem Gemüse, Tofu oder Seitan, normalem Reis oder Wildreis (sehr zu empfehlen). Man vermisst weder das Fleisch noch den Alkohol (den es hier auch nicht gibt) und kann stattdessen bspw. Oi Hung probieren) Guavensaft mit Minze) oder die leckeren Lassis (Mango, Banane etc.)

Eines der besten Restaurants Berlin, das Personal ist zuvorkommend und das Essen köstlich, selbst mit Soja Allergie wurde ich gut bedient.

Cosy location with friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere. Amazing food (I had No 34, Schmortopf), tasty all the way through, each ingredient has it’s place and is combined perfectly. Very reasonable pricing, could be the every-day place to go.

Über Getränke, Vorspeise, Hauptspeise bis Nachspeise war alles sehr sehr sehr lecker. Bin faszieniert, noch nie so leckeres Essen gegessen. Schneller netter Service, Preise in Ordnung. Komme gerne wieder :)

Angefangen von der Vorspeise, dem Service und dem Ambiete ist das DER Ort zum vegan/vegetarisch essen gehen. Die Auswahl ist angenehm und erfrischend, die Portionen nicht zu klein und Preis-/Leistungstechnisch absolut im Rahmen. Definitiv zu empfehlen!!

Lange nicht mehr so gut Essen gewesen! Getränke sehr lecker und erfrischend. Dumplings waren eine der besten, die ich je gegessen hab. Meine Hauptspeise waren Udonnudeln mit mariniertem Soja, auch mega lecker. Gebackene Banane und Matcha Eis als Nachtisch auch sehr zu empfehlen. Außerdem war der Service und das Ambiente top :)

als fast “Alles Esser” durch Zufall hier gelandet. Darf gesundheitlich kein tofu etc. zu mir nehmen und war auf Hühnchen evtl eingestellt ..vergeblich gesucht und dann etwas mit mir noch unbekanntem Seitan gefunden ….. das essen war lecker . Mein Grund für nur 3 Sterne ist die Tatsache im Jahre 2023 💰 “nur cash” als Zahlungsmöglichkeit zu haben. DAS nehme ich seltenst mit ! drum … wohl 1 Gast weniger

Wir sind eigentlich keine bekennenden Vegetarier - zum Abendessen bestellten wir eine Suppe auf Kokosmilchbasis und einen Gemüseschmortopf mit Reis Beides war einfach nur hervorragend Das Ganze zu sehr vernüftigen Preisen und freundlichem Service Absolut zum empfehlen !

I had some dish called Bibimbap, and is was rather at the upper end of the their price range (11 Euro). The dish war very disappointing, because basically it was just rice, oil-soaked tofu pieces, some very well-cooked vegetables, and a very heavy sauce. Additionally one fried egg, but even the egg was fried and pretty greasy. Nothing in comparison to Bibimbap at Korean places, which are pretty light, the vegetables are very fresh, just shortly boiled, and with delicious sauce. Also did not remind at all Vietnamese cuisine, which is very light too. So all in all very disappointing

Wir sind alle Fleischesser und landeten zufällig im vegetarischen Restaurant Chay Village. Erst waren wir skeptisch - es hat uns aber echt gut geschmeckt. Der Curry mit Seitan hat echt gut geschmeckt. Der Service ist ebenfalls zuvorkommend und nett.

Essen soll hervorragend sein, konnten es leider trotz Reservierungsbestätigung nicht ausprobieren, wurden unmotiviert und gelangweilt abgewimmelt. Reservierung über Internet ginge nicht, telefonisch wohl auch nicht. Service verstehen wir anders. Schade, gibt aber ja noch andere sehr gute Adressen.

Dania kuchni wegetariańskiej, raczej smaczne, ale można by wiele poprawić. Ceny nie najwyższe, lecz niestety widać to w jakości jedzenia. Może tu jeszcze wrócę, ale znam w okolicy lepsze miejsca.

Auch wenn das Ambiente nicht so besonders ist, macht es das leckere Essen (mit viel Gemüse) und das faire Preis-Leistungsverhältnis weg. Weiter so, wir kommen gerne wieder! 🙂👍🏻
