Absolutely wonderful food with large portions, super friendly and competent service, lots of vegan options

We had a lovely evening at Chaang Noi. The service was very attentive, and we were served quickly. The ambiance is very nice and invites you to linger. Now for the food: I had the Papaya Salad Lao and the Laab with duck. The salad was delicious and very spicy. Eating it is definitely an experience. The Laab was also very tasty, and the portions are really generous. We were also very impressed with the drinks, and we highly recommend the homemade iced tea. Overall, it was a fantastic evening, and the food was absolutely fantastic. It's important to make a reservation in advance! Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Atmosphere 5/5

Chaang Noi is an excellent Thai restaurant with outstanding dishes and a fantastic drinks menu, as well as super friendly and very competent service. Our meals were truly a delight! Thank you for this culinary journey to Thailand, which we were able to experience with you. Actually, 5 stars is far too low. I can absolutely recommend this restaurant!

Simply WOW! We were in Fulda today and luckily got a table spontaneously, but I recommend everyone to make a reservation! The service was super friendly, and you could tell they enjoyed their job. The ambiance is very nice and cozy. The food was truly incredible, and the portions were quite large. We had the fried glass noodles and a Thai curry, and both were super delicious. I had one or two special requests, and they were fulfilled. We're actually from Schweinfurt, but we've said that from now on, we'll drive to Fulda every few months to eat. Can't wait to eat with you again 🫶🏻

This restaurant is somewhat hidden in the basement and has only a few tables outside. I enjoyed the food incredibly much, and the dishes at the side tables also looked excellent. Highly recommended!

Very large portions, food was tasty and arrived quickly

ChangNoi has been known for years, and the restaurant's reputation precedes its name. Last Sunday, I got a table at short notice and went there with my wife for dinner. The restaurant is beautifully situated in an old cellar vault in Fulda's old town. The ambiance is absolutely lovely and very cozy. The chairs and benches are also very comfortable, which I personally find very important. The service from the guys and girls is absolutely fantastic. No matter who came to our table, and it was a variety of people, they were all on top of their game, incredibly fast, and super friendly. You simply can't do better. Here, too, you can see that they've thought about how much staff is needed. No one has to wait that long, and even if a glass is empty, someone else immediately lets us know and brings a new glass. Now for the most important thing: the food! We had two different starters, a soup, and a Thai curry. Everything was exceptionally fresh, delicious, and extremely flavorful. I highly recommend everyone to eat here, even if you might have to wait a bit longer for a table. In that case, simply make a reservation in advance. I haven't eaten so well in a long time. Been there twice during our weekend trip in Fulda. Neither in Hamburg nor in Munich was there such an authentic and delicious meal. Nice atmosphere, fresh ingredients, friendly service. We'll be back for the next girls' weekend

Very nice staff and very nicely decorated. The waiters were very friendly and accommodating. However, the food was miserable. I haven't had such bad Thai food in a long time. Despite an explicit request to prepare a dish without certain ingredients, it was expressly refused, which led to an undesirable result. The price is way too expensive in comparison! Definitely the last time. Not recommended.

We were in Fulda for a weekend and chose the chaang noi based on the good reviews and were not disappointed. The food was great, the service was super sweet and accommodating. And the ambience since it is in a vaulted cellar was also really cozy 😊👍 so all in all a 10 out of 10!

The first time I was there, I really felt so comfortable. The staff were incredibly courteous and very friendly. I especially want to mention the very young man who always had a smile on his face, and the food was really good. Today, on my last day in Fulda, I wanted to get something to enjoy in the hotel. I was very thirsty and asked if I could order a drink. I was refused in a really rude manner. If you don't have a table, you're not allowed to have anything to drink... Sorry, but what kind of nonsense is that? Of course, I wanted to pay and drink while I waited. I was really thirsty. I left without eating and certainly won't be coming back, despite the good first impression. I don't understand it, and I understand the tone used even less. What a shame! Addendum: Thank you for your reply. I was offered a seat on the bench in the entrance area to wait for my takeaway order. I understand that if the restaurant is very busy, I shouldn't stand in the way with my drink. I simply wanted to have a drink on the bench in the back while I was waiting because I was really thirsty. The employee was really rude and said there was no option and I should wait in the back. She seemed extremely annoyed and stressed... That really annoyed me. But I'm happy about your reaction and will definitely give Chang Noi another chance on my next visit to Fulda, which is coming soon, because the food is really good!

I was at Chang Noi in Fulda with my girlfriend for our 6th anniversary and we were absolutely thrilled! The atmosphere is really great – cozy and stylish at the same time, perfect for a special occasion. The food was incredibly tasty, fresh and perfectly balanced, a real pleasure! The service was great: the waiters were very nice, attentive and made our evening even better. For us, Chang Noi is definitely our new favorite restaurant in Fulda – we will definitely be back!

It tastes really tasty here, very nice staff. Above all, there are drinks that are not available elsewhere. I always look forward to the various cold mixed tea drinks. It's advisable to reserve a table in advance, as it's always busy and you're lucky if something is spontaneously available. We'll definitely be back.

I tried to get into this place 3 times, and everything was already occupied all the time. As I know this is considered one of the most popular and best restaurant in Fulda. The food was quite good. Due to the fact that the restaurant is very small, there are very few seats, you need to reserve a table in advance.

We've had reservations for a while and today it was finally time. The anticipation was worth it. The atmosphere is very pleasant and cozy, the service was really friendly and pleasant. What a great location! We had a great evening at Chaang Noi. The employees are very nice and attentive. The menu has very authentic Thai dishes that you won't find on any other menu. I can only recommend everyone to try the typical Thai Laab, it was by far the culinary highlight of the evening!

One of the best Thai restaurants I know in Germany. If I can arrange it, I still like to go there, even though I moved away from Fulda for 8 years.

Not at the moment, as you can't reserve a place even a week in advance and if so only at 5 and 8 p.m. It is no longer possible to eat there at short notice. Eating out should be fun and not a logistical challenge. It's sad where the restaurant industry has gone. Despite the high prices, we keep trying in vain. Unfortunately, we are no longer able to judge the food as we haven't been able to get a table for a long time.

Spontaneously ended up at Chaang Noi, even though everything was full - and it was absolutely worth it! The service was incredibly friendly, courteous and authentic, something you rarely experience. As a starter I had the Tom Kha Gai soup - excellent, really a taste experience! After that, I relied on the waiter's recommendation and tried a spicy chicken dish. Sensational! Every bite was a delight. An absolute must for lovers of Thai cuisine. I'll definitely be back!

We are on a short vacation in Fulda and the surrounding area. Unfortunately, even if you book 5 days in advance, you can't get a table. The staff is probably overwhelmed by inquiries and therefore seems very strict and somewhat annoyed when answering telephone and personal inquiries. It's a shame that the restaurant is so busy that you can't eat there, because it's very tasty. On the other hand, I am pleased that this part of the catering industry is so well received.

We made a reservation for two people with a dog and were assigned a perfect table where our dog also had space to lie down. Very nice atmosphere. The service was quick, extremely attentive and very friendly. The waiting times were very short. The food was very tasty. The very spicy dish (#51) is actually spicy. Anyone who likes spicy food will be happy with this. The Laab was extremely good! If we're ever in the area again, we'll be happy to come here again! Highly recommended

Restaurant with authentic Thai flavors, just like eating in Thailand. You have to come here. I'm very impressed because it's hard to find Thai food with a real Thai taste in Germany 😂 The service staff is very good. If you don't finish eating, you can wrap it up and take it home. *Top atmosphere* *Services very friendly* But I thought the food was pretty good for the price. Unfortunately, as a Thai food connoisseur, it wasn't a burner in terms of taste. The Tom kha kai soup was very coconut-heavy and something was still missing. There was hardly anything in the spring rolls and they were tasteless. There is still a lot of room for improvement in terms of the presentation and ambience of the food. We are used to something different in Frankfurt and as Thai travel experts.

Unfortunately, it didn't taste particularly good without the flavor enhancer. Not bad but not tasty either. Too bad...

We were there quite early in the evening and got a seat outside the restaurant, which made us very happy. However, in our opinion, you should reserve in advance. The service was very courteous and friendly. For (almost) every dish you can choose between meat/vegetarian or vegan. The food was delicious and to our complete satisfaction. Definitely recommended!

Chaang noi is by far the best Thai restaurant I have been to in Germany. The food is incredibly aromatic and fresh. There are many vegan options and ways to order dishes vegan. The employees are friendly and the prices are reasonable. It's so nice to sit outside in summer. But the restaurant inside is also very cozy and relaxed.

The outstanding highlight of our visit to Fulda was the stop for lunch at the Thai restaurant Chaang Noi. Nice atmosphere, very attentive service and fantastic food. The best and most authentic Thai food we have ever eaten. Everything was freshly cooked and extremely tasty. We had #19 Phad Thai and #30 Gaeng Daeng. 🥰🥰🥰 A reservation is highly recommended.

Das Chang Noi ist schon seit ca. 10 Jahren unser absolutes Lieblingslokal. Wir lieben das authentische Essen, die gemütliche Atmosphäre und das sehr nette Personal. Die Preise sind komplett gerechtfertigt, da alles super frisch ist und eine gute Qualität hat. Wir empfehlen es immer wieder weiter an Freunde und Kollegen und es waren alle mehr als zufrieden. Wir kommen auf alle Fälle bald wieder und freuen uns jetzt schon, es ist immer wieder ein Highlight.

Discovered this place by chance. Reserved a day in advance and with a lot of luck got a great table. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The portions are huge. Neither of us finished the plate. The food is super delicious. To be sure to get a table, you should reserve here 2-3 weeks in advance. Highly recommended, we will come back when we are in Fulda.

The best restaurant Fulda has to offer. We've been there dozens of times now and are always thrilled. If you haven't been there yet, a clear recommendation! But remember to reserve :)

We were here spontaneously in the evening with three small children. We didn't have a reservation and were able to get the last available table! What luck. The waitresses were all very courteous and nice. Each of us tried one of the in-house iced tea varieties and we agreed that everyone had the tastiest one 😁. The decision to eat was a bit difficult because everything on the menu and the neighboring tables looked very tasty. So first there was the starter variation, and not only the kids were enthusiastic about it. The sauces were delicious. The papaya salad somehow didn't have much of a papaya in it. But it was also super tasty. Overall the spiciness was ok. My wife said it was too spicy for me. Unfortunately there was no room for dessert. We'll do that next time. And then we will make reservations just to be on the safe side.

We had reserved a table in advance and were greeted very friendly. The service was very pleasant, friendly and authentic throughout our entire stay. There were 5 of us and we each ordered something different (also with changes) and we were all very enthusiastic. The portions were large and we took the leftovers with us. It was still very tasty when reheated the day after! If we are in the area again we will definitely come back. We would be happy to recommend you!

The food at Chaang Noi is simply fantastic, always and without restrictions. The service is great and always really nice and super friendly. We like the restaurant because it simply has a nice atmosphere and you feel very comfortable there and are in good hands. Unfortunately the food was so delicious that we couldn't take a photo :)

Great little restaurant, with authentic cuisine, friendly, very quick service, and a nice ambience. Really good Thai food, upscale price range, but worth every cent. Unfortunately mostly fully booked. You have to be lucky because you can't reserve online, only by phone and you also have to be lucky to get through... We had the 29, with squid and prawns, the 20, with duck. And for dessert, banana rice with coconut.

Best Asian restaurant in Fulda. I ordered number 10 soup and noodles. It is very hard to describe but the taste is very appealing. The decoration is very unique. The food is beautifully presented. Need come back several time to try all of the menu.

We ate here today before the musical "The Pope". Luckily we had reserved a table and the restaurant was very busy. But this is more than understandable, because the food is really, really good and plentiful, and the service is very good and attentive. The ambience is very nice. We would be happy to come back when we are in Fulda again.
