The service was a disaster! We waited an hour for our food... The food was delicious, nothing to complain about, but the staff seemed overwhelmed and stressed. For the price, I can't recommend it; a lot of things were forgotten, and we were fobbed off with an apology. No concessions, so very disappointing.

Everything was tip-top, the food was sensational as usual, always a must when we visit Berlin.

I don't understand the good reviews. Our food arrived cold. The taste was average. The hummus was below average. The prices, however, are okay. It just doesn't taste particularly good.

The biggest mistake you make is going to this restaurant. The meal is very small and you will come out hungry. You have to wait two hours for your order to come. It is a shame that it is called a restaurant.

The Cassalot restaurant impresses with its outstanding quality – every dish is perfectly flavorful and prepared with love. The ingredients are fresh and high-quality, and the presentation is also impressive. Particularly commendable is the friendly and attentive service staff, who really go out of their way to ensure guests have a pleasant experience. The only downside: you need a bit of patience – the wait for the food is unfortunately quite long. We had to wait an hour for our meal, and unfortunately, there was no dessert left. However, if you have time and value excellent cuisine, this is the place to be. I would gladly come back!

I was really expecting something special because I'd received a recommendation. We went there, of course, having reserved a table beforehand. There was a line at the door. Even with a reservation, you had to wait, especially in the rain! After 15 minutes, we finally got in. We ordered food and waited, believe it or not, an hour. In the meantime, the completely overwhelmed waiter brought the wrong drinks twice! After exactly an hour, I asked the waiter if our food was coming today. Completely overwhelmed, he said, "Right away." The food arrived and tasted good, but for this platter for two people plus another meal, it doesn't take over an hour to prepare! After a few minutes, the waitress came and simply brought me another water without me ordering it... I'm speechless, I'm never going there again... What a shame. I thought it was something special... this isn't a restaurant. I was ashamed of myself for not leaving a tip... sorry.

Food is good. However it is quite overpriced for Berlin. Also the waiter is just weird!! I wanted to pay and he asked what about tips ? Who says that ?

Very disappointing – never again! Unfortunately, our visit was a disaster. After 40 minutes, we were informed that the dish we had originally ordered was no longer available. The replacement dish then arrived cold. An apology from the waiter? None. Instead, we were charged the full (and rather high) price. The waiter reacted to our justified criticism with indignation and rudeness. Bad food, bad service – you really feel like you're in the wrong movie. Definitely the last time for us.

A super nice restaurant. We were attending a conference and were looking for a restaurant for a late evening meal that would serve fresh, light meals. Everyone was absolutely thrilled with the Casalot. Although the restaurant is large, it's cozy, and the service is fast. The food was excellent, with something for every taste. The non-alcoholic beverage selection was also really great. The value for money was also reasonable. The Casalot is on our list for our next visit to Berlin!

The food in general looks great and it is pretty tasteful. I am vegetarian and apart from the salads and mazza there is just one main course option which was great, but lack arabic seasoning. The restaurant looks beautiful, spacious and great vibe. I would suggest having more vegetarian/vegan options as a main course.

I don't understand why they declare it as halal and then sell alcohol. Why can't they be true to that?

Their meat platter is well cooked and taste great. The waiters/waitresses are class, and the atmosphere is generally quite and upper class feeling.

So delicious, it made my eyes roll! There were three of us, including my 85-year-old mother, to whom everyone was extremely friendly. We had the 47, 48, and 62, along with Arabic coffee and a portion of knafeh to share. A wonderful evening!

I can say it's the best Arabian Food in town Especially their Mandi Rice, but unfortunatelly they don't serve it seperatelly!

We went to the restaurant based on the reviews here, but unfortunately we were disappointed with the food. For the main dishes, we ordered kabab and shish tawook. Both of the dishes were not good and the side baked potatoes with coriander didn't go well at all with the dishes. kabab was dry and shish tawook had a lot of cinnamon, so not worth it for the price. Appetizers were good though and service was also good, but I would not come again just for these.

Very delicious food, great and warm atmosphere. I bought the grilled meats and mango iced tea. There was also a selection of vegetarian dishes, which were also very tasty. I'll be back on my next trip to Berlin! 😍

I've eaten at Casalot several times and was always impressed. The fact that they now only serve non-alcoholic drinks may not bother many people. But aside from the fact that I can't imagine tea or water, let alone sweet lemonade, with such delicious food, I suspect religious motives played a role in this restriction. That would be a shame, but there are plenty of alternatives in Berlin!

We ate at the new branch for the first time yesterday and were overall very satisfied with the quality of the food. We ordered a grill platter for three people – the food was excellent, freshly prepared, and tasted very high. The location is also central, and the restaurant is spacious with plenty of room. The online reservation went smoothly. I made a reservation without any problems and got my preferred time. Unfortunately, no one was available by phone – I called the store several times, but no one answered. It was probably busy, which is understandable, of course. We received a friendly welcome. I had specifically noted in my online reservation that we (four people) would like to sit in a quieter corner. Unfortunately, this request was not honored. The server didn't remember the reservation, and there was no appropriately marked table. Although there are quieter areas in the restaurant – especially on the other side toward the window or bar – we were seated right next to the entrance in the family area, where several larger groups and children were celebrating. It was extremely loud there, making normal conversation at the table almost impossible. Of course, I understand that a child-friendly restaurant welcomes families with children and that the atmosphere can be more lively. That's perfectly fine – especially when birthdays are being celebrated. However, it would be important to be more accommodating to individual reservation requests when allocating seating, especially if – as in our case – there was sufficient space in the quieter area. From a culinary perspective, the visit was a complete success. The food was truly excellent – ​​here, you can be sure of its taste even without pictures on the menu. However, a visual addition to the menu would have been desirable to give a better impression of the dishes. The price-performance ratio is a bit high, but certainly appropriate given the quality of the food. Conclusion: A great restaurant with great food, friendly service, and a pleasant atmosphere – with room for improvement in the areas of reservation organization and seating allocation. We will definitely be back and hope that our reservation requests will be honored on our next visit.

Four of us went to Casalot on a Friday evening. The food was mostly delicious. We were there with friends who travel a lot to the Arab world for work, and they also found the quality of the food good. Since we don't eat meat ourselves, we only ordered starters, especially since the current menu only offers one vegetarian main course. The restaurant was very busy, which unfortunately led to slow and inattentive service. The staff were friendly, but stressed. The ambiance is a matter of taste; the place has simply become too big for us. The prices are quite high, as is typical for Berlin-Mitte, but at least the quality is good. Nevertheless, overall, it's definitely a good option for Arabic food in Berlin.

The food and drinks are very fine – a delicious panorama of Arabic cuisine 👌 Highly recommended: the fattush salad, the tagines, and the final Arabic coffee, freshly brewed with cardamom. We were here two evenings while visiting Berlin. Incredible food! The lamb was so tender... tasted like a piece of heaven. The tea... the atmosphere... simply fantastic. You can tell that the food is cooked and served with passion and tradition. Kudos to the service. I recommend the homemade starters, but the main courses are also highly recommended. The meat was perfectly cooked and the side dishes were cooked to perfection. If you want to try and experience good Arabic cuisine, you are welcome to pay a visit.

Imagine ordering before you arrive at the restaurant and your order is delivered to your table about 50 minutes after you arrive at the restaurant? Such a delay is absolutely unacceptable.. It's not reasonable that the bread arrived after we finished eating, people!!!! The service is slow, despite the fact that the food is delicious and the dishes are varied.. Even the atmosphere of the restaurant is wonderful.. I hope that the problem of the delay will be solved only.. And the staff must be trained to smile and be cheerful with the guests.. If I visit again, I will do so just for the taste of the food.. And I hope that the service improves more. Good luck to you all

The food is very delicious, but unfortunately they take very long to order.

We were given two dirty plates, and there were large hummus remnants on the back of the plate. I was very disappointed because it wasn't full at the time. Then we were given a dish, No. 56, which was always with chicken steak, but then we were given it with chicken leg, according to the waiter, which had been replaced because it tasted better! So anyone who knows about prices knows that chicken steaks are more expensive than a chicken leg. On top of that, the chicken was bloody inside, and we only ate half of it! They should have informed the customer beforehand that the dish had changed, but unfortunately, this information wasn't provided either. For an Arabic restaurant, you expect very good hummus, but unfortunately, it wasn't particularly tasty either. Conclusion: For an €80 meal for two, I expect more than that! The two dirty plates showed from the very beginning that professional work looks different! Oh yeah, they didn't even apologize for the dirty plates. Conclusion: price-performance ratio not met

Actually a great restaurant but unfortunately they don't serve any wine anymore :( What a shame!

Unfortunately, it took a long time to switch between everything. The service was very slow; you had to ask for something several times, and the table wasn't even wiped. The menu came immediately, but it took a very long time to take our order. We waited over 45 minutes for drinks, over an hour and a half for the food, and another hour for dessert. We paid immediately when the dessert arrived because we didn't want to wait any longer. The food was good, but unfortunately, desserts aren't really sweet.

After multiple visits to this restaurant, I've taken the time to share my experiences. Unfortunately, I have to give it a 3/5 rating. During our first visit, which coincided with my wife's birthday, we ordered a grill plate for two and two fresh lemon drinks. To our dismay, both drinks contained small rubber pieces—actual elastic rubber. Thankfully, we noticed before consuming them. While the food was decent, it was on the pricier side. Optimistic that the first encounter was an anomaly, we returned for a second visit with friends, and everything seemed great. The drinks, the food, especially the Kunefe, were delightful. However, my opinion took a downturn during my latest visit. We ordered a salad, only to discover a hair in it while eating. It was a thoroughly unpleasant experience. Despite my wife suggesting we bring it to the staff's attention as we did during our first visit, I couldn't shake the feeling that the restaurant lacked proper hygiene practices. Regrettably, I've decided it's best to avoid revisiting this establishment.

The ambience of this restaurant is really nice, combining modern with an industrial style. The decoration is harmonious with the surroundings. The service is very courteous and always approachable without being intrusive. You can come in larger groups, for a cozy candlelight dinner or as a small family, but you should definitely make a reservation. The food is very tasty and not overly seasoned. A small criticism - that's why only 4 stars - about the grill plate, the chicken skewers and the lamb fillet were both a bit too dry. All in all, the prices are in the upper segment, but are justified. Update: We were guests again and the “criticism” was implemented wonderfully in the meantime. The grill plate was perfect this time 👍🏼

Best grill plate in Berlin – absolutely recommended! I've been to many restaurants in Berlin, but this one is really number 1! The grill platter is incredibly delicious – perfectly seasoned, juicy and fresh from the grill. I can also particularly recommend the Fattoush salad – crisp, fresh and wonderfully seasoned. The service is simply outstanding. Ahmad Ahmad was particularly friendly and attentive - you can immediately tell that he and the entire team know exactly how to make guests happy. I was really looking forward to the meal because of the good reviews. Unfortunately I wouldn't come back again. Just like the Arabic cuisine, I didn't recognize it there. Not once taboule or fattusch, but rather a Germanized salad. Lemonades are also too thick and are more reminiscent of a smoothie. The atmosphere is rather hectic. However, we also forgot about the starter, so our main course came first and the starter was quickly added when asked. All in all, unfortunately not a nice experience.

Ein Restaurant mit 450 Plätzen, die an unserem Samstag restlos gefüllt waren, dennoch von der Lautstärke sehr moderat. Wer arabisches Essen liebt, ist hier definitiv richtig am Platz

A real highlight in Berlin! The Casalot on Heidestrasse is an absolute recommendation for everyone who appreciates excellent food and a stylish ambience. The food is exceptionally good – tastes great and prepared with great attention to detail. The meat in particular was very tender, fresh and perfectly seasoned, and overall the quality of the food was consistently excellent. The selection is extremely diverse and the dessert was not only creative but also a real highlight in terms of taste. The ambience is modern and very tasteful - from the interior to the dishes to the cleanliness, everything is at a very high level. Cocktails and food are also beautifully presented - you eat here with all your senses. The staff was super friendly and attentive - you really feel welcome as a guest. For us a crystal clear 10 out of 10! We searched for a long time and tried many restaurants. Berlin has a lot to offer, but Casalot really stands out. As everywhere in Berlin, parking spaces are a bit tricky to find, but that doesn't spoil the overall impression - so full marks anyway. Otherwise it would be an 11/10!
