Great place, totally recomended

Great restaurant! The food was delicious , super tasty and reminding Arabic flavors. We asked for the Mix menu (Maza to enjoy for two - Fourteen different cold and warm maza) and it was a lot of food! :) Both Lemonade Ginger-Orange and Strawberry-Lime were also good! Amazing atmosphere, and very kind staff! We'll definitely return ! Super recommended!

The service was good, but I had to wait a long time before I could place my order. Fortunately, the food was served relatively quickly after that. It seemed like the staff yesterday were quite busy and overwhelmed. Nonetheless, the food was delicious as always, and the staff were friendly and attentive.

All I can say is, COME EAT HERE! I haven't eaten so well in a long time. The service is perfect and very friendly. I got my food after 10min and it was delicious. The atmosphere at Casalot Berlin was nice, but the experience was frustrating. The restaurant was busy, which we understood, but we still waited 40 minutes for our food. My wife had to change her order because they claimed the grill was broken, and the replacement dish was poorly made—yet they charged us despite our complaint. To make matters worse, they brought the wrong order, and after checking the bill at home, I found they had overcharged me for two extra drinks and the canceled dish. Poor service, disappointing food, and unfair billing made this visit not worth the money. Wouldn’t recommend it.

Great oriental food, nice service, nice ambience

My experience at Casalot that evening was more than disappointing and makes me question the quality and service of the restaurant. As a regular who eats there about six times a month, I had significantly higher expectations, which unfortunately were disappointed in every way. We ordered the grill plate for two, but it was far from what you would typically expect. The chicken pieces were burnt and the amount of meat was extremely sparse. It was obvious that every component of the record had been saved. The rice was so minimally portioned that it seemed more like a decoration - it wasn't nearly enough for two people. Each of us could only take about two tablespoons of it. For the price you pay for a mix grill plate, this is absolutely unacceptable. The lentil soup as a starter was also disappointing. For €6.90 per portion you would expect more than a mini portion. The ingredients and quantity were clearly saved here, which is disproportionate to the price. Such savings seem disrespectful to the guests who are paying for quality food. The service was also poor. The waiters seem overwhelmed and disorganized. It was obvious that there were far too few staff members for the number of guests. Better staff training and adequate staffing levels are urgently needed to ensure guests have a pleasant evening. Another negative aspect was the volume of the music. It was so high that normal conversation at the table was hardly possible. This led to other guests becoming increasingly louder in order to make themselves understood. Such background noise does not create a pleasant atmosphere, but rather creates stress and discomfort. All in all, the food that evening was not only disappointing, but simply bad. As a regular guest who knows that things can be better, the disappointment is even greater. I hope that management takes this criticism seriously and works on the quality of the food as well as the atmosphere and service. Otherwise it will be difficult to retain guests like me in the long term.

Always busy, no chance without a reservation. You still wait too long at the regularly overcrowded entrance area because the friendly receptionist is usually alone and therefore no one else is there until she returns when the guests are led to the tables. Otherwise there is nothing to complain about.

Casalot is an excellent Arabic restaurant with a stylish and cozy atmosphere. I was particularly impressed by the starters, which not only tasted excellent but were also fresh and authentic. I tried Kabsa – it was okay but not outstanding. But the Lebanese dishes convinced me even more. The quality of the ingredients is high and the preparation shows great attention to detail. The service was professional, friendly and very quick, which made the visit even more pleasant. Overall, a highly recommended restaurant, especially for lovers of Lebanese cuisine. I'd love to come back!

The ambiance has little connection to Arabic cuisine – the decor is far too cold, aimed more at a target audience who want to try their hand at Arabic cuisine, not for the locals. The food was good – but certain spices were missing, and the meat could have been better. The service, in my opinion, wasn't particularly good… as someone who has worked in the restaurant industry for years, the service definitely didn't match the price of the place. Value for money 0/10!

We've become regulars. Everything at the new location is also pretty excellent – ​​highly recommended! The desserts could be more plentiful (though this time it might have been due to Ramadan) and some could be served warm, but otherwise, it's great, thank you!

The atmosphere in the restaurant is really pleasant, and the waitress was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, there were major problems with the service. We ordered three different dishes, but after a long wait only two were brought to us. This mistake happened three times - with the drinks, the teapot and even with the main course. Every time we had to ask, which was very frustrating. We ended up sitting there for a simple dinner from 6pm to 9pm, which was way too long. Despite the nice atmosphere and friendly service, the organization in the kitchen and service was poor. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the restaurant.

The location was beautifully designed, but that was it. On-site waitresses weren't particularly hospitable and it was quite loud. There is no cell phone reception inside and the supposed WiFi didn't work either. The food wasn't particularly tasty, it was ok. But there was a lot of room for improvement, so the price-performance ratio wasn't right. Mega overpriced.

A nice restaurant with really good and fresh food. Unfortunately, the service really went awry. Table for my birthday child (daughter - 18th birthday) was reserved two months in advance. I had already discussed the preparations with the staff by phone 7 days in advance. I went to the “Casalot” in person 4 days in advance to bring over the table decorations and choose the table. On the final day there was a big disappointment. The selected table was occupied by other guests, and another table was not even remotely prepared. The staff reacted indifferently, overwhelmed and snappy. When the decorative items were finally found, the waiter felt he had to tell us that if he had to do that here now, he would somehow manage it. No apology, no space or tea to pass the waiting time. This is more than unpleasant. There was no wine, the other dish was just out. A sweet (dessert), where the candles I had already brought with me should be placed (everything was agreed upon in advance), had to be ordered again separately. I really didn't imagine it would be like that for my daughter. But it was what it was! Very very sad......

Very nice shop, great atmosphere and great furnishings, lots of space at the back and clean toilets. The price is a bit higher but still within the range. Definitely worth another visit.

The Casalot thrilled us from start to finish. As soon as you enter the restaurant you feel at home - a stylishly furnished ambience that looks elegant and cozy at the same time. The atmosphere is relaxed, the lighting is pleasant, and the smell of good food is wonderful. The service is exceptionally friendly and attentive. The staff takes time with guests, gives recommendations and makes you feel welcome. And then the food – simply fantastic! The portions are generous, the ingredients are fresh, and every dish is prepared with love. The flavors harmonize perfectly and you can taste the quality and authenticity of oriental cuisine. The mezze platters in particular are a highlight and ideal for sharing. An absolute must for anyone who appreciates good food and warm hospitality. We'll definitely be back!

Very good high quality Arabic restaurant. Food is delicious and well prepared. We were at breakfast and Shakshuka was perfect. Unfortunately service looks like they would like to be anywhere else but not here. Only restaurant manager is engaged and interested. Food is good. We had their signature breakfast for too. In menu it said that there would be two types of tahini Witze sweet sauce, though we got maximum one. And zaataar provided was not on the menu. It was still very delicious but I would like to know what will be brought. Overall still very very good

My first visit to the new location, but certainly not the last. The food left nothing to be desired. There were two of us and we ate three starters (hummus, eggplant with pomegranate seeds, falafel with tahina) and one main course (eggplant with mixed vegetables and rice). Everything was very tasty. The fresh lemonades are also recommended. I also liked the new atmosphere. Even though the restaurant was full, the service was good. We'll be back soon.

I was there on Sunday, there were quite a few people, we ordered cocktails while waiting and they were delicious! It was all very tasty. We have the starters for two, Maza for two, Mansaf Kharouf (National dish with tender lamb, Mansaf rice and roasted Almonds and pine nuts. Served with an aromatic saffron yogurt sauce), grill plate (Chicken, lamb kabab, veal skewer and lamb chop, with baby Potatoes, garlic cream and sumac-marinated onions) as well as an Arabic coffee and a dessert. The service was also very good. We will come here again.

I was already a guest at the previous restaurant. The new thing on Heidestrasse is even nicer. In summer you can also sit outside. Great ambience, very courteous service and the food is simply top. I often eat there when I'm in Berlin. Within walking distance of max. 15 minutes from the main train station. Ideal location. The only negative thing I can think of is that the portions are so big that I can almost never finish everything.😊 Thank you dear Casalot team for many wonderful evenings.

Casalot offers a fantastic Middle Eastern dining experience with a cozy ambiance and excellent service. The maza selection was absolutely perfect—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Definitely a 5/5 for that! The grill platter was another highlight—juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked to perfection. Every bite was delicious, so it’s an easy 5/5 from me. As for the lamb lambi, while it was tender and well-cooked, I found it a bit too flavorful for mandi, which is traditionally meant to be more subtle and simple. For that reason, I’d rate it 3/5. Overall, Casalot is a great spot for authentic Middle Eastern cuisine, and I’d definitely return!
