Service was disrespectful, food wasn't hot, we ordered grilled food but they mistook it and brought us kibbeh and other things, not recommended.😔

This is a great place to go in Berlin for those who want to discover some excellent oriental flavors in the German capital. I enjoyed an excellent roasted cauliflower salad with pomegranate seeds (Zahra bi Tahina), followed by lamb skewers with a curry yogurt sauce and tomato sauce (Kabab Bi Laban). Very good with its accompaniment of basmati rice. The sage/raspberry iced tea and freshly baked Lebanese bread were also top notch. The portions were generous and the service attentive. A great discovery 👌

Unfortunately, the food took a very long time to arrive—we had to wait about 50 minutes, even though the restaurant wasn't particularly busy. This made the visit somewhat disappointing.

The (new) Casalot – the culinary and service standards remain at the usual high level, but the new ambiance hasn't captured the charm of the old one. Sometimes the magic of a place lies not just in the food, but also in the atmosphere, the light, the sounds. The memories of the (old) Casalot remain.

In my opinion, the restaurant was very professionally decorated. I came from Bremen with my family and received a warm welcome, and the waiter was very hospitable. Just a tip: the grill plate needs improvement; the price doesn't reflect the portion quality or quantity. I'll definitely be back.

One of the cleanest restaurants I've ever been to. The glasses were spotless and clean, which is an important criterion for me. The cutlery and dishes were also spotless. There were seven of us, and everyone enjoyed the food. There was something for everyone, from meat dishes to vegetarian dishes, cold starters, warm entrees, and fish. The prices were completely reasonable. The service was excellent. We'll be going there more often ⭐️

Highly recommended place. They took over the interior design from PHP, which was previously located inside and went bankrupt, so the decor is very modern and stylish. The food is consistently recommended, and the value for money is surprisingly good. Main courses cost €20-30, and both the portion size and the quality are worth the money. If you want to enjoy special and good food in a pleasant atmosphere, you'll be very happy here. The lemonades are delicious, the appetizers are tasty, and the rice is wonderful. The desserts are also delicious, but you have to like rose water. Overall, a clear recommendation, but you should make a reservation during popular times, as it can get very busy, especially when it's cooler and the outdoor areas are closed.

Unfortunately, the service wasn't good. They said there was more bread coming, then we waited five minutes for the bread, then we asked the waiter again for bread, and then, five minutes later, the bread arrived with a "sorry."

Authentic food without any gimmicks. That's very important to me. Your kaftas were incredibly good, and I can never pass up the Muhammara. The ambiance is world-class, especially when you can sit outside in the summer. We always enjoy coming back here!

Very delicious Arabic cuisine, dogs are even allowed outside. Since spring, alcoholic drinks have not been served, which is perfectly fine. However, if non-alcoholic beer is offered, logically, non-alcoholic wine should also be available!

We had to wait 1.5 hours for our food. When we paid, we discovered that the prices listed on the menu were net prices. VAT was added.

The mezze leaves much to be desired in terms of taste, and while the service is friendly, the food arrives very, very late and isn't what we ordered. We waited an hour for the starter – the bread was hard and cold. One (!) drink, which we ordered after the starter, also took 40 minutes to arrive. The competitor on Ku'damm is far more recommendable. Sorry.

Unfortunately, a disappointing visit – not recommended, especially for a birthday It was my first time at Casalot – and unfortunately, it will also be my last. I had reserved a table to celebrate my birthday with my friends, but we received anything but a warm welcome. In 33-degree heat, we had to wait over half an hour before anyone even came to our table. The food was served cold, had to be returned to the kitchen, and only arrived warm after another wait. While it tasted good, the service was simply unprofessional. The table was never cleared; we had to make room ourselves and ask the staff several times to do so. When I finally asked for the bill and the birthday cake I had brought with us – which we had actually planned to enjoy there – I expressed my dissatisfaction. The waitress was understanding and brought us tea on the house, which I appreciate. Nevertheless, the entire evening was disappointing. For almost €300, I definitely would have expected better service. As a hostess, I felt uncomfortable having to entertain my guests under these circumstances. I will therefore not be returning. It's a shame – the restaurant has potential, but service and organization urgently need to be improved.

I celebrated my birthday there, and the service and waitress were great. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, and they were there right away if you needed anything and even asked questions. The only thing I can criticize, which wasn't too bad, was that the food took a bit longer and we had to wait a bit. That was probably because it was very busy that day, I don't know. The restaurant is in a very nice setting and the interior is also beautifully decorated. I would come again.

Wonderful food. We ate here twice on a 5 day trip in Berlin because it was so good. Fattoush salad, hummus, and shared grill plate were outstanding.

I don’t usually write reviews, but I have to share this experience. I took my guests to Casalot, expecting a nice Arabic dinner, but it was terrible. The same Syrian waiter I’ve seen before had a bad attitude. While I was ordering, he kept interrupting with, “OK… OK… what’s next? making us feel rushed and unwelcome. We waited over an hour for our food, only to be told it had been forgotten in the kitchen. When I asked about the delay, the waiter strangely claimed I’d been there before and asked the same thing—completely untrue, as it was my first time at their new location. When the food finally came, it was cold and dry. A nicer waiter admitted they had left it sitting in the kitchen. Worst of all, we were seated outside surrounded by rats. I saw at least four running between tables, including under ours, and the staff didn’t seem to care. I will never go back!!!!

So incredibly delicious, it made my eyes roll! There were three of us, including my 85-year-old mother, to whom everyone was incredibly friendly. We had the 47, 48, and 62, along with Arabic coffee and a portion of knafeh to share. A wonderful evening! We also joined my in-laws, who were absolutely thrilled as well; it was the highlight of their stay in Berlin.

Very clean, chic, and professional restaurant. The staff is very attentive, friendly, and professional. The food is top-notch. The mezze tastes exactly like they do in other Arab countries. Simply authentic and delicious. The value for money is unbeatable. The drinks were also delicious. There's no Coke or Fanta. I think that's great! Instead, alternatives like Afri Cola and Fritz Lemonade are offered. More restaurants should take a leaf out of their book.

It was much better than I expected. The service was exceptional, the food tasted homemade, and the ambiance was lovely. Furthermore, the location is perfect. My respect goes to the team and the owner. I missed such cleanliness and found it at Castalot. I thank them and recommend everyone to visit Castalot; otherwise, they're missing out.

I’ve been to this restaurant before and used to enjoy it, but this time was a huge disappointment. We had to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes for our food, which is unacceptable. We reminded the staff about our order after 45 minutes, and were told it was “on the grill.” Another 30 minutes passed with no update, and when the food finally arrived, the experience just got worse. The staff member who brought our food was incredibly rude, dropping the plate in front of me without a word. They also forgot to bring enough bread, and one of the dishes was served cold. The overall quality of the food has declined noticeably since my last visit, and the service was unprofessional from start to finish. I’m giving 2 stars only because I’ve had better experiences here before—but after this visit, I’m not sure I’ll be returning. — 1 star off for rude behavior — 1 star off for poor food quality — 1 star off for the extremely long wait time

We spontaneously stopped by for the first time today and had a grill platter for two. Excellent food, friendly service, and fair prices. We'll be back.

My partner and I celebrated our anniversary at the Casalot. The staff was extremely attentive and accommodating, immediately bringing a vase for the flowers without being asked. Overall, my girlfriend felt very much at home, and the food was delicious. Many thanks to the Casalot for the lovely evening and a very successful date.

Perhaps the most amazing breakfast I’ve ever had. And the service topped it off. We were visiting from the USA and the waitress was very friendly, helping us in English as we struggled with German. The food was spectacular.

We'd been travelling all day and I found this restaurant online, so no prior knowledge of Berlin or the restaurant. I'm so happy we came, there was a warm welcome as we arrived and our waitress was helpful and charming. We had a marvellous chicken kebab with roasted potatoes and pitta bread, the chicken was succulent and tasty. We'll be back as the environment was chic and yet inviting. 10/10

We had dinner here last night and it was the best meal we’ve had! Dinner included lamb, chicken, veal, Warak-Inab, halloumi, Musachan, and we finished off with Knafeh and Pistazien-Cream! We all left wanting more. Highly recommend! The guys want to go back once more before heading back to the states!

I've been to Casalot four times, the first time back when it was still on Friedrichstrasse. Food - the best Arabic cuisine has to offer, delicious meze, juicy, tender meat, fresh bread. Service - has always been bad, but this time it was so bad that I thought I'd never experienced anything this bad in Berlin. The waitress was really nice, but even she was so busy that she couldn't serve us attentively. Our service experience in order: Drinks are brought without glasses. Then after 10 minutes, the glasses arrive without being poured. Starters are brought, we ask if we can have more bread. It's not brought, we ask again. There's no salt and pepper on our table, but there is on the others. After the starter, the main course arrives, and we don't get new plates. Meanwhile, several waiters come by with trays and ask us if we've ordered food/drinks; the whole thing seems totally disorganized. For dessert, we're offered cay on the house. But it doesn't come. We ask again. And again. Waited a total of 25 minutes. If the food wasn't truly excellent, the place would go under.

It was a wonderful experience to dine at this new restaurant! We will be back!

Food: I chose a dish with eggplant, I think it was number 43, and unfortunately, the taste was really, really bad. The dish was supposed to be served with arugula, but I asked the waiter to serve it without it, to which he replied, "Unfortunately, that's not possible." I thought, okay, maybe the arugula was mixed into the food somehow or other, but when the food arrived, there was just a huge pile of arugula on top of the food. Couldn't that have been left out? Service: Friendly staff but very slow. After our meal, we asked for tea, and I think it took 10 minutes for the table to be properly cleaned, and then another 5-10 minutes for the tea to arrive. We were about to get up, but the tea arrived just at that moment. All in all, unfortunately, we won't be going back.

Yes, I can, but I have to mention that it's a bit slow. You need to be patient. Perhaps it would be better to offer a little something before dinner to keep the guests occupied. The reception looked very professional, but unfortunately, it wasn't. We were celebrating a birthday and had made a reservation in advance, and they hadn't reserved the nicest spot for us. On the phone, they said they had three or four parties on one day and everything was running smoothly. As five adults, we disagreed.

A very delicious, authentic Arabic restaurant. Five of us were at Casalot on Monday and had starters and main courses. All the starters and main courses were delicious. The homemade mint lemonade is also delicious and refreshing.

Excellent service and delicious food! One person in our group has an egg and nut allergy, but Mounir and the team at Casalot handled it wonderfully. Thanks to their care and attention, we had a relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable evening.

We were thoroughly impressed during our visit. The Arabic/Lebanese-Palestinian cuisine is by far some of the best we've experienced in Germany so far. The location is stylishly designed and exudes a pleasant, cozy atmosphere. The selection was diverse, and each dish impressed with its freshness, quality, and authentic flavor. The homemade ayran was also a real highlight. The drinks menu is carefully curated and offers a successful complement to the culinary offerings. The prices are absolutely fair, and the staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and very competent. A visit we can wholeheartedly recommend! We'd be happy to return!

I have to be honest, at first I thought, "Oh man, this restaurant is recommended by an influencer, it can't be that great!" But I was completely wrong! The service was top-notch! The ambiance was just wow!!! And the food was so delicious, so tasty, and so juicy 😍! The trip from Hamburg to Berlin was definitely worth it! I've been a regular customer at Casalot for 15 years and I'm always impressed! The stylish ambiance combined with an oriental flair immediately creates a special atmosphere. The menu is varied and offers a wonderful selection of Arabic and Mediterranean dishes. The service at Casalot is also first-class: attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Especially the waitress "Ola" 👍👍

The food is very tasty but there is no alcoholic drink and no shisha

The appetizers were excellent, the main courses were OK, but not worth the price. What I didn't like was the flow between the appetizer and the main course: the plates and dirty cutlery were left lying around, and empty bread baskets, empty bottles, etc., weren't cleared away. Given the prices and the location, I expect more. In the end, despite the high bill, no free drink (tea or similar) was offered, which I'm used to in Arabic restaurants. So, it's a shame, but there are plenty of suggestions for improvement.

The best lamb rice in town, everything is super. A bit sad that they don’t provide alcohol, but there is alcohol free beer.

We found this restaurant through Google Maps. When we arrived, we could sit outside with a fine noise level. The food arrived quickly, and was incredible. The meat was tender, rice nicely cooked and the portion sizes were very good. I am generally considered someone with a grand appetite, and the kebab portion was perfect with the free included bread. Do keep in mind, they do not serve alcohol here. Just FYI. 11/10 would go again

Great atmosphere and a packed place, so that's fine with me. The food was exceptionally good, very authentic, and that alone makes the place stand out. It was very busy, and perhaps because of that, the service was a bit slow. Orders only came when we asked, and then not everything was taken, even though we were very attentive and asked frequently if everything was OK. Finally, it should be noted that there is no alcohol in any form. That wasn't a problem, but it was still a surprise. All in all, a lovely evening with good food; we'll be back.

The food was amazing, some of the best Arabic food I've had in Europe. We were a family of 5 and ordered different items from the menu, including desserts, and everything was superbly done. Nice cozy settings and stylish seating. The service could have been slightly better, more welcoming towards guests upon entrance and quicker to offer English menues to non-german speakers. The location is good with parking options nearby, also you can sit outside if weather permits. Prices very reasonable for the food and quality.
