Very long waiting time! Food is no longer that special and especially not cheap! At least not like in the previous place! What a shame!

After over an hour I left the restaurant still hungry and €20 poorer. My portion of meat in the dough was so small that the meat didn't actually have to be mentioned on the menu. 6 fingernail sized pieces in a huge soup of yogurt. How can you sell something like that for €20 at lunchtime? Who is going to get fed up with it? In the end the waiter didn't even want to share the bill because he said he didn't have enough time. At the time 3 other tables were occupied. Overall very dissatisfied. I've had better experiences in this restaurant.

Even after the move, the Casalot impresses with excellent cuisine. Particularly noteworthy is the great service provided by Mr. Mazeu: attentive, personable, authentic.

As always, the food was delicious, the service was friendly, unobtrusive and yet always approachable. Unfortunately it was quite full and therefore loud, and music was also playing. In principle it wasn't a problem if you could still have a conversation at the table, which turned out to be difficult. The previous restaurant was much more pleasant in this regard. The ambience is also not as appealing as the previous one due to the tables being very close together and the size of the restaurant. Too bad. We'll be there again on Sunday, maybe it'll be a little better in the afternoon and after the holidays.

Atmosphere is great, especially for families or groups, but the food is not that good for the high price. Service is good.

Hello, Despite an online reservation for 5 people, we were initially seated at a table for 4 people with the statement: “We’ll look for a larger table for you”. Only after a while and repeated requests from us were we reluctantly relocated. Our waiter (an older gentleman) who served us is the definition of arrogance, unfriendliness and snooty. Lack of eye contact, rushed order taking mode and a disrespectful tone accompanied our visit by this waiter. Despite very poor service, we gave a tip of €10 because that's part of what we do and because in situations like this we always assume that waiters can also have a bad day. The unsympathetic waiter takes the money without a word and puts it in his pants and doesn't say a single word/thank you. We will never dine in this restaurant again and we will share our experience with our friends and acquaintances and advise them not to visit this restaurant. Scherneck family

After ignoring us at the entrance for over 3 minutes, the hostess ignored us when a white family came in, speaking with them right over our heads while we just stood there watching. This behavior demonstrated racism and a clear lack of professionalism and fairness, reflecting outdated and unacceptable attitudes unfit for today’s standards.

RACIAL DISCRIMINATION!!! BEWARE IF YOU'RE BLACK. SOME OF THEIR STAFF ARE VERY RACIST. I walked into this restaurant about 30 minutes ago, hoping to have a nice dinner with my wife. We were left standing there for about 4 minutes without anybody to attend to us. I found that understandable because it's crowded there. The hostess came there just beside us and started to chat with her colleagues without acknowledging our presence. Since I don't speak German, I assumed that they only needed to align on some issues quickly only for a white family to enter behind us. She looked over my shoulder and started attending to the white family without even acknowledging our presence. We walked out of the restaurant because clearly, we were not welcome. I've lived in Germany for 3 years now, and this is the first time I've experienced this kind of treatment from another race. It's quite shocking to experience it in the epicenter of Berlin, known to be culturally diverse.

UPDATE: I went to the restaurant again today and unfortunately my experience was quite different. I had a reservation and asked for a window table. When I got there, I was led to a table in the back of the restaurant in the middle. There were a few empty tables by the window, but they said we cannot sit there because they are not for two people (there were literally 2-3 tables by the windows that had 2 chairs only!) but they refused anyway despite me asking repeatedly why? I didn’t want to ruin my date and we went on and ordered the food and drinks. The server was quite inhospitable. When it was time to pay, my husband had his card out, but the waiter looked at him and said mockingly “you’re the one paying?!!” in quite a rude sarcastic manner that we didn’t understand or accepted tbh. We walked out feeling that we never want to come back here again because why would we want to be treated in such manners? The food itself was really tasty but good food should not be accompanied by poor manners! The first time we went there we had the loveliest waiter and he was such a delight, but today our waiter was a huge red flag. Such a shame. The best meat plates I have ever tasted in Berlin! 🤤 We ordered Mansaf and the grillplatte and they were both TOP NOTCH! Perfect taste and tenderness. We also had the cold and hot mazza along with waraq anab and it was super tasty. The service is also very friendly and siper sweet. Our server, Mounir, was very attentive, helpful and cheerful!❤️ Definitely would go back again! Thank you✨

It's been a long time since I've had such a good meal in Berlin. Here you had what you unfortunately don't have in many restaurants, namely taste. From the drinks to the many starters, bread, main courses and desserts, everything was perfect here. Keep it up!

We were a group of 13 people. The waiter was very friendly and accommodating. The food was brought to the whole group almost at the same time, which was particularly nice because we were able to start together. In general, the service was quick, friendly and everything was great. The food was very good and I can highly recommend the various lemonades. We have been here a few times and will always be happy to come back!

Absolute ***** star enjoyment of the food. As a despiser of pork & co, no one who avoids pork has to worry. I'm not Muslim or Jewish, but I also avoid pork (acidifies the body). The grill platter I ordered, as well as the previously ordered starters for 2x 6 people, were super tasty. Absolute recommendation! Deduction of the stars only for 15 minutes of waiting until our table for 12 people was cleared and the boring ambience.

We had the pleasure of enjoying both dinner and breakfast at this wonderful restaurant and I love it! The waitresses were incredibly attentive throughout and promptly fulfilled all of our requests. The location is simply fantastic – stylishly furnished and offers a very inviting atmosphere. The food was exquisite and a highlight both in terms of taste and appearance. I had a spontaneous meal, I had a dish with leg of lamb, rice and yoghurt, unfortunately I don't know what it was called, but the lamb was so tender that it fell off the bone. A friend had chicken rolls with special bread (see photo) and this dish was also top. The service was very accommodating, asking at regular intervals if something was needed, but not annoying - great. The background music was very pleasant, you can hear it, but it doesn't interfere with conversation. All in all, highly recommended!! We also had the house lemonade which was also highly recommended.

Very tasty trip to the Middle East!

First night in Berlin, my friends and I decided to try this restaurant based on the great reviews we saw on Google. We were served by Mounir & Mazen (or was it Mazen & Mounir?). The food was absolutely delicious, the place was clean, and the waiters were so professional and friendly. We were really happy with our choice and left fully satisfied. Highly recommend it💖

Fantastic place with Palestinian food. All dishes are very well prepared, with fresh and top quality ingredients. We have ordered a tabouleh, babaganoush and the Palestinian national dish (leg of lamb with rice and yogurt sauce). The portions are large. For dessert: the typical dish knafeh, it is very worth trying! The kitchen is open non-stop until late (24 hours) and the service is very friendly. The unbeatable quality-price ratio!

I recently visited your restaurant and would like to share my impressions. Service:🍽️ The staff was friendly and attentive, creating a pleasant atmosphere. Food:🥗 I ordered the “grill for two”. The presentation was appealing, but I found the portion to be too small for the price. The dish was also very fatty; the marinated meat seemed to have been prepared with additional butter, which upset my stomach…. Drinks:🍹 The taste of the mojito was okay, but it contained too many components such as ice, lime and mint, which completely filled the glass and thus detracted from the drinking experience. The second drink, rose water with lemon, was refreshing and delicious. Because of the points mentioned, I give it 3 out of 5 stars. I appreciate the excellent service, but I see room for improvement with food and certain drinks.

The location is very nice, good atmosphere. Service was not very good. We were placed in a corner and had to wait for an English menu very long. Our order got a little messed up as well. The food was very well seasoned. We had the lamb chops and chicken steak!

Rarely have you felt so comfortable in a restaurant like at casalot. We don't even need to talk about the food, a 10 out of 10!!! The waiters were all so welcoming and you felt like you were being carried on your hands. The hospitality, the music was perfect, the atmosphere was good, we are so happy that we found a perfect restaurant in Berlin. So you can always recommend it.

Casalot is a phenomenal restaurant if you like Arabic cuisine. The dishes are extremely tasty, fresh and varied. There is something for everyone in terms of price. The service was very good, attentive service. We celebrated our wedding anniversary and were treated very warmly. We'll definitely be back.

Food fantastic as always, service is very friendly but inattentive (it took quite a long time until someone came to take the order, bill, etc.). The new restaurant is very nice and cozy, but it is very loud/exhausting to have a conversation (the ceiling is very high). Unfortunately there was only one vegetarian main course.

The Lebanese cuisine was really delicious, and we loved the location with its welcoming atmosphere and warm, romantic lights. Therefore, we unfortunately found the prices not quite reasonable, which spoiled the experience somewhat.

The meat was cooked to perfection—tender and juicy, bursting with flavour. I particularly enjoyed the muhammara, which was the best I’ve ever had, adding an exceptional touch to the meal. The ayran was also refreshing and complemented the food nicely. Service Experience: The staff were generally friendly and humorous, contributing positively to the overall experience. Pricing: While the quality of food was commendable, I found it to be a little pricey. Despite this, the flavours and overall experience made it worthwhile. If I find myself back in Berlin, I will definitely return to explore more of what this restaurant has to offer!

We had breakfast there and were almost the only guests. It is said to be very busy in the evenings. The breakfast - scrambled eggs, vegetables ( tomatoes, cucumbers, olives etc. ) plus hummus and freshly baked bread was super delicious. Nicely sat by the window. Definitely more pleasant than in the fully occupied bakery cafe opposite.

Aggressive waiter with sunglasses – be careful! Unfortunately, we had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant. The service was unprofessional and disrespectful, which was particularly disappointing since we had made a reservation for a special occasion - a birthday. Despite our pre-order, nothing was prepared and there was no greeting or apology for the delays. A waiter who is noticeably tall and constantly wears sunglasses behaved in a manner that was not only rude but also aggressive. After waiting for almost 20 minutes before our order was taken, we finally asked him to bring out the dessert that we had brought to the restaurant earlier. But it took almost 50 minutes and several reminders before the cake was actually served. Since we were traveling with a small child and had to go home, the long waiting time was particularly stressful. When we finally expressed our discomfort with the situation, the waiter responded in a shockingly aggressive manner. He shouted at us, threatened to throw us out and came worryingly close to us. We felt downright intimidated and were seriously afraid that the situation could escalate physically. Ultimately we just paid the bill and left the restaurant as quickly as possible. This experience was very unpleasant and traumatizing for us. A visit to a restaurant should be relaxing and enjoyable, but here we experienced exactly the opposite. I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone who values ​​friendly and respectful service.

Aggressiver Kellner mit Sonnenbrille – Vorsicht geboten! Wir hatten leider eine äußerst enttäuschende Erfahrung in diesem Restaurant. Der Service war unprofessionell und respektlos, was besonders enttäuschend war, da wir für einen besonderen Anlass – einen Geburtstag – reserviert hatten. Trotz unserer Vorbestellung war nichts vorbereitet, und es gab keinerlei Begrüßung oder Entschuldigung für die Verzögerungen. Ein Kellner, der auffällig groß ist und ständig eine Sonnenbrille trägt, verhielt sich auf eine Art und Weise, die nicht nur unhöflich, sondern auch aggressiv war. Nachdem wir fast 20 Minuten gewartet hatten, bevor unsere Bestellung aufgenommen wurde, baten wir ihn schließlich, den Nachtisch, den wir zuvor ins Restaurant gebracht hatten, herauszubringen. Doch es dauerte beinahe 50 Minuten und mehrere Erinnerungen, bis die Torte tatsächlich serviert wurde. Da wir mit einem kleinen Kind unterwegs waren und nach Hause mussten, war die lange Wartezeit besonders belastend. Als wir schließlich unser Unbehagen über die Situation äußerten, reagierte der Kellner auf eine erschreckend aggressive Weise. Er schrie uns an, drohte uns hinauszuwerfen und kam uns beunruhigend nah. Wir fühlten uns regelrecht eingeschüchtert und hatten ernsthaft Angst, dass die Situation körperlich eskalieren könnte. Letztendlich bezahlten wir einfach die Rechnung und verließen das Restaurant so schnell wie möglich. Diese Erfahrung war für uns sehr unangenehm und traumatisierend. Ein Restaurantbesuch sollte entspannend und angenehm sein, doch hier haben wir genau das Gegenteil erlebt. Ich kann dieses Restaurant niemandem empfehlen, der Wert auf freundlichen und respektvollen Service legt.

There were four of us eating. You should definitely make a reservation, even though it is a huge restaurant with a huge terrace but it is busy. The ambience inside is not my thing. Personally it's too loud for me because it's all one room. But let's now come to the essential thing that defines a restaurant: the food. We had starters for two people plus a salad and another two extra starters (meze). The salad is awesome. The mezes are of the best quality. My wife had fish (sea bream). She liked it very much. I had chicken stuffed with onions which was also very tasty. Our companion, a couple, had a grill plate for two people if you don't like long, you should be careful. Otherwise it was very tasty and rich. At the end I ordered a dessert: Kanefe, which is Engels, hair with cheese and sugar. Water (rose water) wasn't my thing. Definitely worth a visit.
