Casa Pepe in Bonn

Casa Pepe haben wir zu viert angesteuert, weil wir gerade in Bonn waren und -natürlich auf TripAdvisor:-)- ein gutes Lokal gesucht haben. Wir fanden es, etwas versteckt im schon fast ländlich anmutenden Bonner Stadtteil Dottendorf. Die Einrichtung war eher die eines deutschen Jägerschnitzellokals (nicht abwertend gemeint!), also unerwartet gemütlich und nicht wie viele ausgeleuchtete und nüchterne Tapas-Bars in Spanien selbst (abseits der Touri-Routen). Die Auswahl ist beeindruckend, und die Qualität super, von den Patatas Bravas bis zum Pollo al Ajillo. Lediglich die Wachtel war doch sehr trocken frittiert, die sollte man ggf. etwas eher aus dem Öl holen. Die Preise sind überraschend niedrig, auch für den sehr guten spanischen Wein (empfehle Rioja Reserva aus der Flasche, auch hier noch ein gesitteter Preis!). Der Service, beaufsichtigt durch die resolute aber super nette Juniorchefin (Bönnsch mit spanischen Wurzeln:-)) läuft optimal, auch wenn die Hütte voll ist. Bitte unbedingt kommen, aber auch unbedingt vorher reservieren!

We were in Phantasialand and felt like tapas. Since it was pretty much on our way back, we made a reservation and went there. I can really recommend it, the food was delicious. At first I thought we had made the wrong decision because the ambience at first impression didn't look "Spanish" but rather like a sports bar. But the food looked good on the tables of the other guests. I had various tapas, all of which were very good, and grilled pulp tubes as a main course, which were also very good but almost too much 🤣🙈. The staff was ultra nice and very attentive. The only thing you could possibly complain about was the noise in the restaurant. But because of the good food we overcame it.

Very friendly service. It was very busy and yet we only waited about fifteen minutes for the main course! The price-performance ratio is also very good; in other restaurants you would have paid a lot more. Everything went super quickly and the overall atmosphere and furnishings were very cozy and nice!

First: we didn't eat there. I can't give a basic review, but I would like to highlight one thing. There wasn't enough vegetarian cuisine on the menu for me, so we looked for another restaurant.

We were there on a Friday. It was quite crowded. We were immediately told that we needed some patience. The food was great. The waitress was a little more calm at the end and had a friendly chat with us. It felt a bit like eating with friends. We'd love to come back.

At Casa Pepe there are very solid tapas and also larger dishes. Quality and price are right. The service is sometimes a bit rustic, but friendly. The interior is very much like an old German pub, the tables outside are okay, but it's not overly comfortable. Everything was very uncomplicated, with the friendly Spaniard around the corner.

Found it spontaneously, to be honest I was surprised that it was so good. Service very friendly Food tastes fresh, you don't have to order the cheese platter, but everything else is really great! The churros are also authentic like in Spain! All around a very authentic restaurant! My wife has to say that the sangria is also good. Plus point for me: Various local Spanish beers.

Not a spectacular entrance. There's 1980s charm inside too, but then comes the menu. Wonderful Spanish dishes at sensational prices. Scampi 🍤 in bubbling oil. Pulpo on a wooden plate like in Galicia and and…. fresh bread and excellent aioli. Splendid. The public? Almost all Spanish families. And me. 😊

It is our little piece of Spain in Bonn. Every time we go it is like feeling like we are in Spain, both for the typical food, the beers and above all for the atmosphere and family attention. The best place is the bar next to Pepe.

The food is good. But not as good as before. The ambience is more like this. You're sitting outside in a construction site. It's very dark inside. And the service has good and not so good moments. You have to be lucky.

Disgusting pub where the waiters don't know how to communicate politely and respectfully. I've been there twice and both times left without waiting for service. 1. Today we walked to the end of the room and the waitress told us to go back to the entrance and wait until she cleared and invited us in, even though the table was perfectly clean. 2. After 6 minutes of waiting and looking at the waitress walking around other tables, I had to stand up and walk in front of her to remind her to bring a menu. And we would have waited another hour if I hadn't gotten into a fight with the waitress who was supposed to serve us. 3. Finally she brought us the menu and said snooty that all the seats were taken today (as if that was my problem...) and so we had to wait. I told her that it took 10 seconds to bring a menu and that she could have done it even if all the seats were taken, or at least warned me of the heavy load, and apologized for the inconvenience. She replied that she didn't have to apologize to us and left. 4. Of course, we and my wife didn't stay in this restaurant after that, and our Sunday evening was simply spoiled by such rudeness of the waitress. No one apologized or even gave us disapproving looks. With this level of service, this "restaurant" should really be called Casa Peppa. I repeat that even with incomplete seating, we didn't wait for them on our first visit to this pub. She simply asked around at the tables with more visitors, obviously knowing that she would get more tips there, otherwise I can't imagine such rude behavior towards us, which we didn't deserve, and the ignorance of the elementary basics of communication with visitors and not explaining etiquette. The owners of the pub don't have the slightest knowledge of restaurant operations, not even at the level of minimal and basic basics. P.S. The restaurant owner's response contains outright lies that even sound ridiculous and fantastical. You can clearly see the level of development of these people. A reasonable owner would have simply apologized, even to the most aggrieved visitor, and attempted to smooth over the situation rather than escalate it. But he couldn't think of anything better than to lie and try to make the situation look different, as if the conflict had arisen out of nothing. How unprofessional do you have to be to not realize that it doesn't work that way?

I always enjoy being a guest at Casa Pepe. It's just the typical Spanish atmosphere. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was happy and relaxed. Overall just great. Thank you, dear Casa Pepe team for your hospitality! By the way, I saw the situation of Mr. Boris Чirkov, who gave the restaurant a bad rating and also insulted the employee, live, and I can say that the facts happened a little differently. The gentleman and his wife had to wait a few minutes because the restaurant was packed and the employees were all busy. He then spoke in a similarly unfriendly tone, as reflected in his review, and immediately started making accusations. After about 5 minutes. He attacked the employee in such a way that she was completely distraught. He should perhaps better deal with his own elementary basics of communication, because from our point of view, like the above-mentioned assessment, that was very condescending and presumptuous. In my opinion, completely disproportionate and inappropriate. If I were a host, I would happily do without such guests.

I've been looking for a good Spanish restaurant in the Bonn area for a long time. I finally found it. Wonderful little restaurant, very tasty and high quality fresh food and the staff are very friendly. Unfortunately, the restaurant is often full, which speaks for the quality. A lot of Spaniards also eat there, which is always a very good sign for me. The prices are excellent for this fantastic meal. I've been there several times and will come again! Über das Ambiente mag man geteilter Meinung sein, es ist wohl das komplette Interieur der ursprünglichen Veedelskneipe erhalten, aber das Essen, der Service und das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis sind aus unserer Sicht unschlagbar. Die Wachteln sind ein Traum, die Patatas frisch zubereitet, keine TK-Ware. Die Alioli ist nicht so versalzen wie bei vielen anderen spanischen Restaurants. Die Qualität und Quantität sowohl der Tapas als auch der Gerichte ist einfach durchweg gut. Die Servicedamen sind flink und nett, auch das macht das Erlebnis rund. Wir haben Casa Pepe gerade erst entdeckt, werden aber trotz einer knappen Stunde Anfahrt regelmäßig wiederkommen. Wir freuen uns schon auf den Sommer, wenn man draußen sitzen kann. Daran, dass viele muttersprachlich spanisch sprechenden Gäste da waren, erkannt man oft die Qualität.

You should definitely reserve a table because everyone was there, even during the week. Place fully booked. The price-performance ratio is absolutely good. The ambience is rather spartan and has the character of a normal economy. We'll be back and thank you for the lovely evening!

A quaint pub run by Spaniards. Food very tasty. It was very full, we had to make a reservation even on a Thursday evening. Were lucky. The service staff were very busy, so it took some time before we could order. Yes, I know, skilled workers are in short supply. Location a bit hidden, but it's worth it!!!

Delicious food at reasonable prices, several Spanish beers on tap and great wines. What more do you want. It's not a complicated but authentic cuisine. The current new addition to the tapas, which is not (yet) on the menu but is often mentioned by the waiter, is very tasty and a little more unusual: pork medallions with goat cheese and caramelized onions. But the absolute highlight was the turn of the year: We were there on New Year's Eve and had booked the corresponding, multi-course buffet. It was awesome! And this applies to the selection of cold and warm starters, main courses and desserts, as well as the never-ending quantity that was cheerfully delivered from the kitchen. And the taste was sensational. It's just a shame that everyone's stomach gets full at some point.

Wir gehen sehr gerne hin. Die Tapas immer frisch und lecker. Wir brauchen keinen schnick schnack, nur lecker Tapas. Ich bekomme hier mein cerveza Alhambra, was ich jedem ans Herz legen kann. Es ist immer voll, aber der Service hat alles im Griff, und trotz der Hektik immer freundlich.

Naja. Das Essen kam relativ zügig, Personal war aber sichtlich genervt und überlastet. Getränke nachbestellen dauerte schon mal länger. Das Essen selbst hat uns nicht vom Hocker gerissen. Wir hatten den Eindruck, es war größtenteils nicht selbst gemacht, sondern (Halb-)Fertigprodukte aus der Tüte. Am Schluss wurden wir darauf hingewiesen, dass die Terrasse um 21:30 Uhr schließt, wegen empfindlicher Nachbarn.

Gutes spanisches Restaurant mit fairen Preisen. Der Service ist immer ausgesprochen freundlich und auch sehr geduldig, wenn wir als größere Gruppe kommen.
