A small, charming Italian restaurant with extremely friendly service and excellent food. The atmosphere is pleasant and authentic, the food is fresh and prepared with a lot of love. Particularly noteworthy is the warm hospitality, which makes the visit a special experience. We would definitely like to come back!

The worst pizza of my life... on a frozen base with quite tasteless toppings. My wife's pizza was drowned in cheese so that the base was completely soggy. Without words. Unfortunately, the great ambience and friendly service couldn't save the “experience”. The place needs a real chef.

First of all: I am not a vegetarian or vegan. But, the restaurant completely convinced me. I was in Hamburg today with my companion and there was no suitable alternative to the normal hotel restaurants that offered vegetarian dishes. I ask on Reddit what the “go to” spots are. There are a lot of restaurants that I will definitely check out, but today it was the Carino! Absolutely awesome. The food was very good, very tasty, the dumplings were cooked perfectly, the sage butter sauce was very clear and visually an eye-catcher. At first I thought it was too little, but a nice portion for a good price. My companion chose the penne, aubergine, pesto, vegan version of the dish of the day and found it just as delicious! The only drawback is the cold that comes from the brickwork and through the windows. The heating helps to a certain extent but it was still pleasant, hence the deduction of one star. Service was a young lady, absolutely friendly and accommodating, exactly that and that kind of staff, that alone made the stay very pleasant. She is top notch in her technical knowledge as well as the style and presentation of the menu. Top ReFa. We'd love to come back.

The three of us were at Carino last night, the drinks were served quickly and I have to say, the wine selection is great and matches the dishes. Starters, main courses and dessert were served at perfect intervals, creating a uniform enjoyment between the dishes and drinks. The Gorgonzola risotto was brilliant. Many thanks to the entire team!!!! The boss was very attentive to the guests and the cook set off culinary fireworks. Everything went well, the evening went very harmoniously. See you next time Mark

Very great restaurant. Lots of selection of wines, including 0.0% wines on offer. I've also had better Funghi Pizza, but that was also in Italy =) The blonde waitress was very attentive and helpful, it couldn't be better!

The service was wonderful. Owner works there and she was so friendly and kind. The chef was exceptionally good at her job as well! An italian lady, with a true passion for her work! She mixed the vegan cheese she found at the store to create the perfect one and it was sooo good. Pizzas were savoury, huge and she brought out different chili oils she’d made days ago. Fantastic service and we absoutely recommend. Drinks were also good! There used to be another vegan dessert that we’d preferred as the panna cotta was only dish we weren’t fans of. Hope she finds the perfect recipe for the tiramisu! 🙏🏽

I had a wonderful dinner here! I recommend the Zuppa Di Pomodori and Risotta Gorgonzola e Pere. The service is impeccable and I even had a chance to chat with the chef. You will not be disappointed.

Today was the first time and not the last time I was in this restaurant. Cozy, small, very friendly staff, zero intrusive and the most important thing: Great, delicious food.

The Italian restaurant "Carino" left an overall mixed impression. The dish of the day, Spaghetti Aglio e Olio, was unfortunately disappointingly small and more of a starter size. When we asked the service, this was confirmed as the standard size for pasta dishes, but this was disproportionate to the high prices. The portions of my companion were similarly modest. The bruschetta appetizer consisted of small slices of baguette soaked in oil. Compared to other Italian restaurants, these were significantly smaller and less convincing in terms of quality. The small menu, which gave hope for quality, was positive. Unfortunately, this expectation was not met, neither qualitatively nor quantitatively, so the overall impression remained rather average. Another point of criticism is the low room temperature: due to renovation work on the wall, the heaters did not work, which made the stay uncomfortably cool. Although the restaurant shows potential, it failed to meet expectations in several respects.

Top small menu, no choice stress. Delicious food, nice wine, great atmosphere. Vegetarian Italian cuisine.

The restaurant is characterized by good service, nice waiters and great food. The wines mentioned are particularly delicious. However, there are small points of criticism: When it comes to bruschetta, it is not stated on the menu that there is cheese on it and that mozzarella is added (I think you should be more precise here, especially because you are targeting a vegan audience). The tomato risotto with mushrooms that I ordered was very tasty, but the taste of the vegan cheese that was used dominated the taste; Here you could use a little less of it (but only applies to the vegan version).

Yesterday we were in your beautiful restaurant for the first time and enjoyed the evening in the secluded garden. We immediately felt comfortable. A very courteous service that kept the restaurant and the tables in the garden under control in a relaxed manner. Many thanks also to the team in the kitchen, we were very happy with our food.

We waited for our order for almost an hour but in the end the food was delicious; I had a pear and gorgonzola risotto. In addition to the long wait, what I didn't like was the lack of respect from the owner of a large dog (who is part of the hotel connected to this restaurant), who instead of moving her dog away from me who is terribly afraid, she complained because, in her opinion, the dog is not aggressive. It doesn't matter to me, I'm scared and finding this big dog so close to me scared me a lot! But the lady didn't have any kind of worries about it, in fact, she even got annoyed! It only left a bad memory for me and I will never go there again!

I ordered the Neapolitan pizza. This used to be the best pizza in Hamburg for me. Status today: American Pizza. Unfortunately this has nothing to do with Italian pizza. 18€ for that too! Unfortunately, that's a disgrace and I'm really sorry for the store.

Risotto and pasta were very tasty and the staff were very friendly. A great recommendation, especially for vegetarians, as the entire menu can be ordered. Sitting in the courtyard/garden feels like you are in a small city oasis.

Phew... I had reserved for 7 people in the garden. When we arrived we were told in an extremely unfriendly manner that according to the system we had reserved for the interior. If it wasn't true, I was able to prove it again with my reservation confirmation, which specifically stated the garden. Someone from the staff must have entered something wrong. Since there was no more room outside, we were directed to the lounge areas with the promise that there would be room for us soon. From then on we were ignored and after twenty minutes we had to approach the waitress to get drinks. After an hour we were still sitting on the lounge chairs and couldn't see anything from our seats. We were charged for the drinks and left. It's a shame, we've always enjoyed staying here but we've never been treated so unkindly. No accommodation, no interest in ironing out your own mistakes. We were simply forgotten. If we had known that we wouldn't get any more seats despite having a reservation, we wouldn't have drunk anything. In the end we paid 40 euros for a few soft drinks and an hour of waiting to go home hungry.

The service is very friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere is also nice. We had a very good starter from the daily menu and then unfortunately made the wrong decision to order pizza. I have to emphasize once again that the food read really well and the starter was therefore great. However, the pizza was one of the worst I've ever eaten and one of the most expensive (it was a pizza from the daily menu for €26).

Visited in May 2024. Cozy atmosphere in the backyard. Staff is very friendly and the food is gorgeous! Highly recommend the Avocado Tartar and Tartufo Pizza with slices of black truffle. Most vegetarian meals (if not all) are also possible as vegan option. Higher Priced food, but absolutely worth the money. Paying with credit card possible.

Great vegetarian experience, very tasty! Price-performance ratio, good. The only drawback is the basement restaurant, which this location doesn't deserve! Gladly again!

As a slightly larger group, there was still space for us in the slightly smaller restaurant. The ambience is very nice. Although the waitress had to serve all the guests alone, she managed to do so impressively. Unfortunately we had to wait a little longer for our food - but that was understandable since all of our food arrived. The portions were sufficient and very tasty. In terms of price, the restaurant is a little higher, but you can do it.

Wir haben einen tollen Mädelsabend im Carino verbracht. Das Restaurant ist klein, weshalb sich eine Reservierung auf jeden Fall lohnt. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Wir haben als Vorspeise die Tomatensuppe bestellt, die wir gerne weiterempfehlen. Anschließend gab es bei uns Pasta mit hausgemachten Pesto und Pizza. Die Hauptgerichte waren ebenfalls sehr schmackhaft. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! Im Sommer gibt es ebenfalls die Möglichkeit, dass man draußen sitzen kann.

Wir haben zu zweit am Abend gegessen. Sehr nette und kompetente Bedienung. Sehr leckeres Essen, z.B.: lauwarmer Gnocchisalat auf Empfehlung des Hauses. Gute Hauptspeisen und als Nachspeise Panna Cotta.

Für Veganer und Vegetarier ein Muss! Wir waren begeistert. Es war super lecker und der Service war erstklassig.

Essen ist Super lecker, die ambiente sehr sehr schön, kann etwas eingeengt und warm sein allerdings sehr gemütlich. Service war unfassbar freundlich und die Preisleistung ist wirklich super.

The food is delicious! They have a small menu, which speakers for the quality and freshness of the food and all the choices there seem very tasty. I had gorgonzola rice with nuts and pears and I can say this was the best rissoto ever. Downside is the fact that it takes a bit longer to get the food, probably because it is freshly prepared. But while waiting you do get some bread and cheese spread to calm the hunger.

Ein wahres Erlebnis! CARINO hat einen super super netten und professionellen Service, das Ambiente ist top und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Und die vegane Pizza, wow! Ich habe noch nie eine dermaßen authentische und leckere vegane Pizza gegessen, genau dafür bin ich hergekommen! Und komme ganz bestimmt wieder. Ausnahmslos zu empfehlen 😊 👍🏼.

Sehr nettes, anfänglich unscheinbares, Restaurant. Sehr netter, zugewandter, freundlicher Service, dabei nicht aufdringlich aber gut beratend. Die Speisenauswahl nicht sehr unfangreich, aber dafür umso hochwertiger. Frische Zutaten und hier und da ein extra Pfiff. Sehr zu empfehlen, für alle die nicht unbedingt Fleisch auf dem Teller brauchen. Ich empfehle vorab zu reservieren.

Bis Essen kommt vergeht eine Ewigkeit. Für ne Vorspeise und 2 Pizzen haben wir knapp 2 h zugebracht, es waren in der 2. Hälfte 3 Tische nur belegt, inkl unserem. Also nicht wirklich was los gewesen, was das rechtfertigen würde. Die Pizza (zumindest meine) war recht fad. Was es wirklich rausreißt ist die Bedienung, die ist super nett und weiß wohl selbst um die Umstände dort. Für sie aber 5 Sterne.

Supernettes vegetarisches Restaurant!

Schöner ruhiger Hinterhof, hochwertige Ausstattung, hundefreundlich Toiletten könnten etwas sauberer sein, aber das gilt wohl leider für die meisten Restaurants

Gut- aber nicht grandios, schrieb hier jemand. Das trifft es meiner Meinung nach. Die Karte war recht überschaubar, wie auch die Portionen (außer Pizza, welche aber mittig massiv belegt war, am Rande eher mager). Ambiente nett, Personal ebenso- wenn auch etwas wuselig.

Wir waren mit Freunden in diesem schönen vegetarischen Restaurant zum Essen. Meine Erwartungen würden noch übertroffen. Tolle italienische Gerichte, sehr liebevoll angerichtet. Der Service war sehr zugewandt und aufmerksam. Uns wird man hier sicher noch häufiger sehen.

Sehr leckeres und geschmackvoll angerichtetes Essen mit der italienischen Note. Es war recht laut was aber unvermeidbar in dem kleinen aber liebevoll eingerichteten Restaurant ist. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

War gut, aber nicht grandios. Nettes Ambiente, netter Service. Allerdings haben wir 30 Minuten auf die Getränke warten müssen. Unsere Freunde wollten gerne Pizza essen, die an dem Tag leider gar nicht verfügbar war. Die Antipasti-Platte war sehr lecker, das frische Gemüse lecker angemacht. Die gefüllte Nudeln haben uns gut geschmeckt, allerdings war die Portion ziemlich klein. Im Gegensatz dazu fand ich die Portion der Trüffelnudeln sehr gut und sättigend. Hier hat allerdings etwas mehr Geschmack /Würze dran sein können. Preis-Leistung hat für mich nicht 100% gestimmt.

Das Essen war super, eine Freundin hatte eine etwas kleine Portion. Für 18€ dann etwas happig. Der kleine Hinterhof war echt süß und gemütlich. Leider haben wir über eine Stunde auf unser Essen gewartet, wir waren unter der Woche da und es waren nicht alle Tische belegt. Komischerweise hatten 3 von 4 danach Bauchweh, was aber wahrscheinlich einfach an dem langen Warten lag

Wir haben uns lange auf das Carino gefreut. Von der vegetarisch/veganen italienische Küche haben wir uns viel erhofft. Der erste Eindruck versprach viel. Schöne Lage, schönes ambiente. Doch wir mussten an einem ruhigen Mittwoch Abend alleine 1h auf unsere Vorspeisen warten, wobei insbesondere der Antipasti Teller sehr ernüchternd war. Auch der Hauptgang war eine Enttäuschung. Kreativität in den veganen Gerichten war auch kaum vorhanden. Wir hatten gehofft, eine neue Adresse für italienische Küche gefunden zu haben, wurden aber leider enttäuscht.

Das Essen war größtenteils anständig bis gut. Der Service war lustlos und unaufmerksam. Waren zwar an einem Samstag Abend da, aber es waren nur 4-6 Tische besetzt. Das Personal zog es vor hinter dem Tresen zu stehen und zu scherzen. Wenn man zu dritt 180€ da lässt ist es schade wenn man selber zum Tresen laufen muss um um Löffel für Risotto oder Pastagericht zu bitten, auf drei Espressi 30 Minuten wartet, nicht gefragt wird ob man noch etwas benötigt oder ob es schmeckt usw. Wohl doch eher Weinbar als ernstzunehmendes Restaurant. Ambiente innen ist mau, man sitzt halt im Souterrain und hat kleine Schlitze mit Sonnenlicht. Im Garten ist es bestimmt schöner.

Mega cooles Restaurant 4,8 von 5 Sternen. Das Dessert und die Rechnung haben ein wenig länger gedauert, dafür war das Essen mehr als Göttlich . Der Preis eher gehoben , aber eigentlich gerechtfertigt. Wir werden bestimmt nicht das letzte mal hier gewesen sein .

Es war etwas kleiner, aber dafür umso gemütlicher. Essen (Risotto und Tiramisu) waren sehr lecker und die Atmosphäre toll. Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

Absolut tolles Ambiente. Der Garten ist für Stadt Verhältnisse ein wahrer Ausklang. Das Essen ist überragend und sehr flexibel ob vegan oder nicht es werden Wünsche erfüllt …

Ja, das Essen war sehr sehr lecker! Linguine mit Pesto und Brownie mit Vanilleeis Vegan hatte ich. I Love Carino💕

They had no vegan cheese when we visited which was disappointing. The service was attentive & they tried to accommodate children. We also had some other guests with dogs (which is quite nice, but not particularly expected). The food we did order was nice but expensive. I could only have a starter given the lack of vegan cheese (I was really wanted the fungi pizza) which was very small but tastey. Bread arrived before the mains & there was no vegan spread. The vegetarian looked nice. Disappointed but potential for another time when they aren't missing half the menu. I had an avocado tarte. It's just avocado, nicely seasoned & presented.

Leckere italienische vegetarische und vegane Küche in toller, ruhiger und zentraler Lage in Hamburg. Definitiv einen Besuch wert!
