My girlfriend and I have often been guests at Capvin, but we have never had such poor and unfriendly service as today. We had reserved a table for two and were given such a cramped and miserable place. It was so tight that we had to “squeeze in” and were already sitting back to back with other guests. There wasn't even room to hang our jackets on the chair. When we asked whether we could change tables (several tables of four were free and not reserved, two of them until we left the pizzeria) we were told no, after all it was a “table of four”. The Italian waitress with the black curly hair was so unfriendly that we considered leaving straight away. After we finally decided to stay, despite the absurd place, and ordered our pizzas, half of them, such as salt, pepper, oil and scissors for cutting, were not even brought to the table. Even after a 45-minute stay, we weren't asked if we needed anything else. Every attempt by the waitress to draw attention was ignored until we were eventually allowed to order a coke. Of course the cola wasn't brought to the table either. At the same time, the waitress complained about how we were able to put our jackets on the chairs at the free table next door. There is a clothes rack one room away. When we collected the money, we felt the ignorant attitude once again. It's a shame, but there won't be another visit.

Pizza, drinks and tiramisu were fantastic, very tasty and unique (probably the best we tried in Berlin). The service was friendly and sweet, the waiting time was about 50 min (they told us in advance it will be around 40 min, so it’s okay). The longest it took to ask and wait for the bill and take away desserts, around 50 min. That’s too much really. But I counted that the only one waitress had 13 tables at the same time at that moment, so I don’t blame her. I could only blame the organisation of the process. Please, hire more staff, and clients will be happy. Thank you for that experience 🤍🍕

Very tasty. Since I like Neapolitan pizza so much, I visited several restaurants. Here is top3 in Berlin. The staff is normal, the shop is a bit noisy and the tables are cramped. But I don't mind eating the good pizza

False advertising, communicated on their website and Facebook that you could come and order a Pizza Margherita to go for 5€. We went to both places advertised at 18h and 18h10, and both declined to give the offer, with no explanation. Would not recommend, it says a lot about them as a business. It's sad because the pizza are great.

The service is beyond criticism. I waited 30 minutes just to get my order. They came several times to tell me that I should vacate the table at any moment because they had other reservations. This is inappropriate. The pizzas are very tasty and made from an original recipe.

I would like to share my experience with my reservation at your restaurant Capvin at Weinbergsweg 24 on February 5th, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. I had received a reservation confirmation in advance for 5:30 p.m. However, on the day of my scheduled visit, I received an email informing me that my reservation had been changed to 4:00 p.m. - without prior consultation with me. After I contacted you by phone, I was assured of the original time of 5:30 p.m. However, I did not receive an explanation for this change. The taste of the food was very good, but the service left a lot to be desired. The waitress in charge looked visibly annoyed because we decided not to tip - which is our right. A professional service should remain friendly regardless. As we left the restaurant we said goodbye politely, but she simply ignored her. In summary: The food is good, but there are certainly other restaurants that are not only convincing in terms of taste but also in terms of service. I will not recommend Capvin. Best regards

Very good pizza, slow service but the waitresses didn't stop for a second, we definitely needed an extra hand. Sore point, the tiramisu was the worst I've ever eaten in my life, a real shame considering it was the only dessert on the menu, dinner ruined by this big oversight.

Capvin is a small, beautifully decorated Italian restaurant with an authentic flair that immediately transports you to Italy. The pizza oven from Napoli creates a cloudy, light and airy dough that is simply perfect - the Margherita in particular is to die for, but all the other pizzas are also excellent. In addition to the culinary highlights, the drinks menu is also impressive: the apple spritzer is wonderfully refreshing, and the freshly tapped Peroni rounds off the Italian experience perfectly. The service is warm and attentive. An incomparable place for authentic pizza enjoyment in Berlin – absolute recommendation!

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The pizza I ordered was overcooked and burned on the back. Despite waiting for more than 30 minutes, people who arrived after me were served and finished their meals while I still hadn’t received mine. The waitress was extremely rude and kept ignoring us the whole time. The customer service was simply awful, and to top it off, the toilettes were dirty. I would not recommend this place to anyone

Experience not experience. We booked online at 10.15pm (confirmed by email) and, once we arrived on site, we were told that the kitchen was closed at that time. When booking online there should be a notice communicating the closing time of the kitchen. Furthermore, the staff present at the entrance were not courteous.

Capvin Rosenhöfe: We kwamen smiddag’s aan bij het restaurant Capvin. Er stond een bordje “please wait here to be seated” buiten bij de ingang, maar omdat het koud was + slecht weer gingen we alvast naar binnen. De serveerder die rondliep stuurde ons naar buiten en zei dat we daar moesten wachten. Toen we zeiden dat het buiten koud is en dat we graag binnen wilde wachten, noemde hij ons vervelende klanten en wilde hij ons niet meer helpen. Als reden gaf hij dat het ‘systeem’ zo werkt dat klanten buiten moeten wachten om een tafel toegewezen te krijgen. Voor die avond hadden we ook een tafel gereserveerd bij Capvin. We gaven aan dat we niet meer in de avond komen als hij zo door zou gaan, zei hij dat hij ons graag niet meer terug ziet komen. Capvin, ik zou de serveerder met zwart lang haar, een bril en een baardje ontslaan! Ik ben vaak bij Capvin geweest en de dames daar zijn mega gastvrij. Ik denk dat deze serveerder zijn dag niet had vandaag! Capvin is een aanrader. Alleen een aanrader als die jongen met baard en bril niet werkt EN als je niet buiten in de kou hoeft te wachten (2 graden) om een tafel te krijgen.

Thank you for making us wait in the cold forever and finally telling us to leave even though there was at least one free table for us while we waited for your “famous” reservation to arrive. Thank you also for so kindly picking up your damn phone to answer me after I called 10 times to find out if it was possible to reserve a table for 5. Which would have earned you some money and we would have avoided coming if it was not possible to eat. Thinks you're a bit like the world's navel and that's a shame. Good luck, you can forget me as a customer and I will be happy not to recommend you to those around me.

Although the pizza is one of the most flavored in Berlin, the staff is terrible. The attendant from the front door is absolutely rude and just denied to let us getting an extra scissor to cut slices of pizza even though it is part of the experience they “offer”. We just wanted an extra scissor because half of the table was vegan and we ordered non vegan pizzas, sharing the same scissor would be an issue for us. The user experience at this place is not a priority, DON’T GO!

If I could give it 100/10 I would. Pizza was soooo good best we’ve had in Europe so far. Definitely get the dips, 3 for 4euros!!!

So disappointing! Pizza here is not cheap and having hair in it it’s just unacceptable. Service was uninterested, unfriendly. Another restaurant where it happened was located at Rosenthaler Str. 36, 10178 Berlin. At this place staff way more nicer!

We wanted to have a pizza there for two today, but unfortunately it didn't work out. We came in the evening and were given the cards at the front by a waitress with curly, dark hair and shown a table that we were allowed to go to. After that we were simply ignored for over 30 minutes. When we got up, because it didn't seem like anyone was coming any time soon, she looked at us briefly and simply averted her gaze again... No reaction, as if this happens to her often. In any case, I went further to the middle and then ate properly. There were also tables and chairs that I fitted.

Excellent pizza, thin dough and thick crust! A delight and very good value for money. On the other hand, the service is mediocre. We were greeted with a smile because we spoke English, we waited 35 minutes for 3 pizzas, one of which was incorrect. We had to wait another 25 minutes to get the pizza we had originally ordered. The quality and taste of the pizzas is really very good, just like in the Capvin branches in Italy. You can't get Peroni on tap everywhere. Unfortunately, there aren't all the different types of pizza here like in Italy, but you can't really expect that.

As an Italian, I can say the pizza is as authentic as it gets—just like what you’d find at a pizzeria in Naples. However, I’d suggest ordering takeout unless you’re prepared for a long wait. It took about 30 minutes just to place our order, and then we waited an extra hour for the food. A pizza shouldn’t take that long to make, and there’s also limited seating here. 9/10.

Unfortunately, despite making a reservation, we had to wait longer for our table. In the restaurant itself we were given the menu very quickly and then had to wait about 30 minutes until our order was taken. At some point the drinks arrived and about 40 minutes later our food. The pizza itself is very tasty but unfortunately we experienced absolutely poor organization and service during our visit. Too bad.

The most delicious Neapolitan pizza I have ever eaten! I ordered the Margherita and it alone satisfies my craving for cheese with its quantity. Service was also very friendly and the restaurant itself with its toilet was also clean. I'll definitely come by again!

Update on November 3rd, 2024: Unfortunately I have to lower my five star rating to 2 stars. It's the usual thing that happens to most good shops in Berlin: on our last visit we got the "new" menus - and that always means only one thing, higher prices. The Bianca Mortadella pizza is still my favorite, you have to know whether 4 slices of mortadella on a pizza for €19 is too expensive or not. But the big disappointment is the truffle pizza. When I remember the “old” Tartufo, it was one thing: truffle, as the name suggests. It was a topping of fior the latte, parmesan, and most importantly, freshly grated truffle. The new Tartufo has none of that anymore. It's now a pizza bianco with mozzarella, and on top is a zucchini pesto with truffle oil — NO fresh truffle. And the price increases from €22.50 to €23, while the quality is simply subterranean. This can no longer be justified at this price. Unfortunately, a pizza didn't arrive until ten minutes later, so you couldn't eat at the same time. This shouldn't happen at 3 p.m. Unfortunately, another restaurant that increases prices without maintaining quality. Before, I could recommend Capvin to everyone and have often done so. The pizzeria has been on my list for ages and I was finally able to visit it. I regret not going earlier; very very very tasty pizza! So far it's the best pizza I've eaten. The selection is not overwhelming and the restaurant's favorites are marked with a heart on the menu, which I personally think is good. The service is very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is generally very nicely decorated and clean, as are the toilets. This was definitely not my last visit, I will come back!

Really great Neapolitan pizzas. Plus a nice location in a trendy district. The dough is already fluffy and the burnt areas in particular taste very good.

Super delicious pizzas and good atmosphere. However, the service was not very good. It was fully booked, and there was one employee who served, cleared tables and received guests. It was clear that there was a lack of staff and this went beyond the service. As a guest, you could clearly feel that the staff were too busy to provide a proper service. We could tell by the fact that we were not given a knife and fork when we were served our pizzas. We therefore sat for several minutes without being able to eat our food. In between, a server fetched us a knife and fork, but for some reason walked around with it in her hand for several minutes while she took orders and served. So she walked past us several times without giving us a knife and fork so we could start eating. When she finally did, she didn't even say "sorry" or anything. She just quickly put it on the table and hurried on. We also had to ask for oils for the pizzas, which were otherwise on all other tables.

I came here last Friday night as I wanted to try the special pizzas made for the Pizza week. We ordered after 10 min we seated but we waited for the pizzas more than 1 hour. Pizza tasted good but nothing so special. Borders were also a bit burnt. Unfortunately, service and ambience were really disappointing also this time. Everyone around was frustrated by the long waiting time and also it was quite cold in the restaurant as they always leave the door open not considering that there are tables right in front of it. Also when we asked to the waitress to change table as it was too cold and we didn't want to eat with our jackets on, she ignored us. Then we asked someone else and we got the okay. We moved to another table but none of the waiters helped in bringing our drinks, foods and cutlery to the other table. Also their menu changed into worse as most pizzas are overpriced for the offer. It's the second time I had a disappointing experience in the last few months. It's a pity because it used to be one of my fav pizza places. I won't come again tho

Smart but not too much... On 10.10.2024 I book a table online at 6.30 pm for 5 people informing the presence of a child of about 1 year, communicating that I have a stroller (so as not to create any space problems upon our arrival ) and I ask if it would be possible to have a Hochstuhl for the child. We show up right on time and they seat us immediately, we order drinks and pizzas. Everything seemed to be going well except when after 40 minutes of waiting a waiter shows up at the table and tells us that unfortunately it is not possible to receive any pizza since the oven, due to technical problems, does not maintain the right temperature for more than a few minutes. Simply put, it was not possible to make any pizza. He apologizes and adds that the problem has persisted for about a day and invites us to order an appetizer or a salad. Needless to say, we left immediately upon hearing the news. My question is this, why not inform customers immediately? It would have been much more correct to expose the problem from the beginning, especially given the presence of such a young child. Fortunately, the child in question was much more polite than many adults and for the entire waiting time he remained seated or walked for a few minutes in the corridor between the two bathrooms without ever hindering the work of the waiters or bothering any other customers sitting in the room.

This is the second time I go and in both occasions I had to wait more than 1 hour to get the food. Today it took 1 hour and 20 minutes, and at any moment they informed us about the delayed neither offered us something to eat while waiting. I gave them another chance, after last time they had us 1 hour and 30 minutes waiting because they forgot our food. We asked 4 times for the bill and nothing. The pizza is good, but service terrible, so not worthy to come back.

If you want to eat a cool pizza the place would be the right place BUT please do not forget you need to wait minimum 70 minutes and still you must keep your mood cool when the waitress bring your pizza without any apologies.

Food: The best Pizza so far in Berlin. They stick to their quality principles since the beginning without compromises. Bad Note for the Tiramisù: As an Italian, Cook and Tiramisù lover i can sadly report that is not good as it should. Far away from the authentic recipe, almost only whipped cream ( which should not be used ) and no traces of egg yolk. Ambient: A little too full inside: lately they should have rearranged the seats in order to allow more guests to sit. But the result is that there isn’t much space between tables and this leads to less privacy. It feels like we sit all together with the most nearest next table on the right/left. Service: Always good, nothing to say. Prices: Prices a too high for certain items. A basic Margherita at 13€ Margherita with Buffalo Mozzarella 15€ (Starter) Burrata + some cherry tomatoes + 2 slices of bread 13€! C‘mon! The Menu linked in the website is not the updated one, so don’t be surprised!

Pizza was very very good. Unfortunately we had to send the salad back, but we did get a tiramisu on the house. I think drinks are way too expensive, but you also get tap water.

Not welcoming stuff and not organized seating queue

The store isn't worth the hype. There is much better Neapolitan pizza for less money. Half of the pizza wasn't baked properly, but a price of €16 is a disgrace. Unfortunately, the staff wasn't really open to criticism and the pizza had to be paid for in full. The hygiene in the toilets is not the best either. Strong smell of urine and dirty sinks. It was definitely the first and last visit.

overrated. Food is just pizza, nothing great. The service staff was nice, but had to watch as an employee was shouted at in front of customers. There is definitely something that can be saved. Ambience, for the price it was first of all an acoustic nightmare and we were also pressured to leave the store more quickly. No thanks. P.S. The restaurant supposedly has one of the worst working conditions in Berlin due to mismanagement. It's very obvious that whoever is in charge has no idea what he/she is doing.

Wir haben mit der ganzen Familie diese tolle Pizzeria entdeckt und waren begeistert! Die Pizza war traditionell und unglaublich lecker – man merkt, dass hier Wert auf Qualität gelegt wird. Trotz des vollen Hauses an einem Samstag Abend wurden wir schnell und freundlich bedient. Das Personal war sehr aufmerksam. Die Preise sind absolut fair, besonders in Anbetracht der Qualität und der Portionen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall gerne wieder!

The outside area is super cute, but I didn't find it too comfortable inside. As always at Capvin, the pizza was delicious. However, there were 9 of us there and our pizzas were finished very differently. Some were already cold, others warm and three people didn't get their food until later.

The Napoli pizza is super delicious. The dough is really perfect, just like a Neapolitan pizza should be. I can also recommend the Limoncello Spritz. A small deduction for the ambience because we had to sit inside despite having a reservation. With the summer heat + the warmth of the pizza oven it was really almost unbearable.

Very well attended in the evening. It's best to sit outside or near the doors. There were two of us and we had the appetizer platter first. This meant we couldn't finish the pizzas because we were already so full. Everything tasted great and the service was so sweet. This is some of the best pizza I've ever had, full stop! I order from them via Wolt pretty often, and one time the courier totally botched the job - all the toppings lumped in the corner of the box like it was carried vertically. Total mess. And yet, even the empty crust with just a hint of sauce left on it was still irresistibly delicious. You really can't lose with this one!

Visited Capvin in Weinbergsweg today. Unfortunately the place did not meet our expectations. We had heard that this place offered gluten free alternatives. After we ordered one regular pizza and one gluten free, they showed up with two regular pizzas. Then they told us that they couldn't make the gluten free pizza, gluten free. It ruined the whole meal because just one of us could eat. Do not visit this place if you are gluten intolerant or have celiac.
