Ein wunderbares Italienisches Restaurant mit besonderen Ambiente. Es gab Live Musik/Gesang und sehr freundliches Personal. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut, die Qualität und Geschmack ist hervorragend. Irgendwie ist hier alles etwas größer. Die Gläser, Teller u.s.w. Vom Personal und dem Chef Rocco wird man hier richtig verwöhnt, und die Stimmung im Restaurant ist durch das gemeinsame Singen ganz toll! Wer mal besonders Italienisch essen möchte sollte dieses Lokal besuchen.

Ein recht schönes Lokal im Zentrum mit einem netten Gastgarten vor dem Lokal. Nach kurzer Wartezeit konnten wir bei der sehr charmanten Bedienung schwarze Spaghetti mit Cozze und eine Pizza Gamberi bestellen. Die Pasta perfekt gekocht, passender Sugo, feine Cozze. Die Pizza sehr gut aber nicht auf dem Niveau der Pasta, trotzdem schmackhaft, reich belegt und dazu guten Weißwein. Angenehm ist auch der Gruß aus der Küche mit Oliven, Knoblauchdip und Weißbrot. Das war ein schöner Abend und auch der Preis ist absolut fair für dieses Qualität.

Mit einer Freundin nach einigen Jahren mal wieder hier gegessen. Das Fazit ist komplett positiv: Der Service war sehr zuvorkommend, die Speisen frisch und lecker, das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sehr gut. Wir hatten uns eine italienische Vorspeisenauswahl geteilt (darauf u.a. Vitello Tonnato, Caprese, Carpaccio, alles köstlich) und zwei unterschiedliche Pasta-Gerichte als Hauptspeise ausgewählt und waren sehr zufrieden. Auch die Portionen waren sehr gut bemessen.

Super delicious food & friendly, attentive service. The non-pizza dishes are especially excellent. First you get ciabatta with herb butter and olives, great. Unusual ambience that sets the restaurant apart from others. You can also sit outside wonderfully.

It was our first time eating in the restaurant. Our conclusion : The facility stands out positively from other restaurants. The food was of very good quality and the prices were reasonable. The service was very attentive, my mother received tiramisu as a surprise for her birthday 🎁. Thank you for the time in your restaurant. We'll be back, promise.

We ate outside. The staff is very friendly. We received our food quickly. The drinks were well chilled and the food was of very good quality. We were here for the first time. If we are in Essen again, we will come here to eat again. The price performance ratio is very good.

The place is super nice, the service is very friendly and helpful, we were there around 10 p.m. with children and the food was served straight away and very quickly!

The food was good, the service could have been better. Unfortunately, as soon as you sit outside, you will be begged and harassed or insulted by drug addicts if you don't donate. Nothing eaten or picked up...just parked in front. From the outside it's no longer what it used to be... advertising broken... signs dirty... unkempt terrace. Plenty of fresh bread 🍞 first of all... nice atmosphere... friendly service... prices clearly in the upper segment Waiters sit with plastic liter water bottles in the middle of the restaurant. Restaurant in daylight has now become dingy... the paint is off... untidy and some things are broken. Waitress a bit forgetful. It's better to order open wine by glass...half a liter carafe is the equivalent price🤷

The food is really, really tasty. If that was all that mattered, I would definitely come back again in a timely manner. The experience is only marred by the typical southern European calmness. Despite the empty restaurant, we waited an unusually long time for the food.

What should I write? Linguine al tartufo (very large portion, enough for two people), herb butter + bread and the Lugano were awesome 🥰, a little more expensive, but value for money is right. Delivery 20 minutes earlier than stated. I am very satisfied 👍 Unfortunately I can't judge the ambience because I took delivery.

The food was really good and the wine by the glass was acceptable. Price performance is good and the furnishings are kitschy and beautiful. You probably come here to defend yourself! The service was tired, unsmiling and disorganized. A pity!

We were a group of 6 people, everyone was very happy with their food. The portions are sufficient, and the bread with olives was also positive. The service was friendly. Everyone received their food at the same time, even though many different dishes were ordered. All in all a good Italian with fair prices.

When I was in Essen for the first time about 10 years ago, this restaurant was recommended to me by my hotel, and I was extremely impressed by the quality of the food, the service and the ambience. Now I'm back here today and I'm happy to see that despite the adverse circumstances of the past few years, this restaurant has lost none of its charm, style and first-class quality. So just full marks in every area!

Went here spontaneously today with three people. It took 30 minutes for someone to come to a table to bring us the cards or take our drinks order. We then waited another hour for our food. Unfortunately, the starter was also forgotten and brought along with the meal. When ordering the bill, the problem was raised, but unfortunately the service staff didn't provide any real insight. Given the long waiting time and the errors in service, I would have expected at least a little something on the house.

The four of us were there for the first time. Three people ordered high-priced meat dishes. The meat was okay, the portions were good. Unfortunately, everyone's side potatoes were rock hard and inedible. The potatoes that were delivered later came when we had finished with the meat Three waitresses were very diligent, even if one didn't know what the other had already done. An order of salad was forgotten. Tiramisu was given to compensate for the potatoes.

We had dinner here with 13 people on a Sunday evening. We were able to order the drinks very quickly and they arrived promptly. Unfortunately, we were brought more drinks than we ordered. Well, that would go away for us too. After we received the drinks, no waiter came to the table. It wasn't until we called about an hour later that we were able to order the food. The appetizers came promptly. Unfortunately, the additional bread we ordered didn't come at all and the main course only arrived after we called and about 1 hour after the starter. In total we sat there for about 3.5 hours. The main course didn't come at the same time but rather every 5 minutes. 2 plates. However, the food was quite good. So also a compliment to the kitchen. The atmosphere was very disco-like. Very loud, a bit too loud for my opinion, as neither the waiter nor we at the table could understand each other. Due to the poor service I will avoid this restaurant in the future.

The restaurant could also be in Italy. Rustically furnished and there are boxes of wine and stuff everywhere. We really enjoyed it and the food was very tasty. The portions were more than enough so we were able to take the rest with us.

The store is endearing in a way. Definitely kitschy, it definitely wants to fulfill every cliché of a cheap package holiday in Italy that the inclined Ruhr area person books. The guest room is not only visually overloaded (you can definitely like that), but it is also cramped when occupied. This may seem familial to some, but I would like some breathing room. The same applies to the entertainer, who is present at least on Saturdays and constantly fills the hall with karaoke - very likeable, but entertaining especially because it's not really good :D Gets the audience involved, whether you want to or not. The evening was therefore complete sensory overload, but reminded me of one of the cheaper Italian holidays. About the food: At first I was shocked that carbonara was offered as a dish with bacon and cream. An Italian would rather hang himself than do it that way, but fortunately the menu indicates that the dish can be prepared correctly if desired. So you could stay seated with peace of mind :) The food you ordered actually came to the table quite quickly despite the high occupancy! We were confused when ordering appetizers that we wanted straight away. That wasn't possible, we had to choose the main courses first and order everything together. The bruschetta was a nice starter, perhaps a little salty for some. The same applies to the lasagne. Definitely tasty, but also more characterized by saltiness than depth and subtlety. You don't really feel like you're in Italy, but rather in Essen Rottstrasse. I also had a Pizza Roma because it has a great combination (Parma ham, rocket, parmesan, no sauce) - but it wasn't easy to eat as it was very dry. Tip: don't waste so much Parmigiano on it, because the quantity and thickness are the problem ;) Bottom line: I am sure that the Capobianco is lovely and will continue to provide many people with wonderful evenings. But you have to like this kitschy style in all respects!

The Capobianco is a chic Italian restaurant. With a very large selection of pasta dishes. Unfortunately we didn't like the food and the service was ok but not good either. The ambience takes a lot of getting used to as it is very crowded with a wide variety of decorations. However, it should be mentioned that many things and many points of the evaluation are a matter of taste and it should be evaluated independently by each person. That's why I give Capobianco 5 stars because it's a matter of taste and not bad for what it is.

Great atmosphere that really brings to a typical family environment Italian restaurant but the food is just *HORRIBLE*. Went their on Friday with a friend and his pasta with shrimps was just disgusting, you can’t call that water reddish soup as sauce. My Gnocchi Gorgonzola was edible but also far away to be something good that you expect to eat in a restaurant. The house wine is also one of the worst wines I ever had in my life, also super expensive for what it really is: a cheap last category wine. The food and wine were literally an insult to the Italian cuisine.

Levelless! Despite reservations, we suffered from a broken table in the hallway and in the hallway, live music was bad and terribly loud and bright, the service or the "welcome and table assignment" was at the level of any corner bar. We'll be out straight away...

Very tasty food. The pizzas (all 32cm) etc. are all freshly prepared. You should bring some time, otherwise the restaurant is highly recommended. The leftovers can be packed up and taken with you.

This was my third time in 4 years for a birthday party. Each time it took forever until all the drinks were there. Seven meals arrived in two stages, one of which was the wrong pizza and the correct one was delivered later. My rump steak was tough and no longer hot. The espresso was just a puddle and lukewarm. The ambience is interesting but crowded, the live music was too loud, you couldn't really have a conversation.

The service was sometimes very slow and there was a lot of complaining among each other. The bad mood was noticeable. The food, however, was great.

Waren schon oft dort, allerdings war es nun unser letzter Besuch. Mussten auf 4 Pizzen 50 Minuten warten und es waren nur 2 Tische besetzt. Eine Pizza völlig verbrannt. Die Kellnerinnen recht unmotiviert. Man musste schon aktiv auf sie zugehen, damit man bedient wird. Es war auch total kalt im Laden. Also alles insgesamt recht ungemütlich. Da tat einem das Geld wirklich weh.

Sehr freundlicher Service, leckere Speisen, gepflegte Getränke. Obendrein (samstags) ein Sänger der voller Inbrunst alle Italo-Hits interpretiert hat. Allerdings muss vor der Zabione gewarnt werden - sie macht im positiven Sinne süchtig - nach mehr obwohl die Portion schon gigantisch ist! Wir haben uns richtig wohl gefühlt. Einfach tolle Gastgeber.

Wegen unsere Firmen Weihnachtsfeier waren wir hier essen. Es war sehr lecker und der Service war gut obwohl der Laden sehr gut besucht war. Ich hatte ein super zartes Rinderfilet mit Sahnetrüffelsauce, leider durfte ich den Teller nicht ablecken.

Das Essen war sehr gut. Die Servicekräfte waren flink und sehr nett, aber leider haben drei Personen an unserem Tisch den Hauptgang erst bekommen als wir anderen schon fertig waren mit dem Essen.( Wir mussten mehrmals nachfragen wo das Essen bleibt) Das darf auch bei vollem Haus nicht passieren. Zudem war es sehr laut.

Die unfreundliche weibliche Bedienung sollte mal den Knigge lesen.

Über dreißig Minuten gewartet um was zu trinken zu bekommen ,eine weitere Stunde aufs Essen gewartet ,die Vorspeise kam nach dem Hauptgericht, geht garnicht

Am 5.12.2023 waren wir mit 20 Personen in diesem Restaurant. Wir haben auf das Essen ca. 1,5 Stunden warten müssen. Ein Gast hatte sich die Vorspeise Bruschetta bestellt, ich habe es ihm gleich getan. Meine Bruschetta bekam ich aber erst serviert, als die anderen ihre Hauptspeise bekamen. Von der Grösse her, war es ca. Halb so gross wie die vorspeise des anderen gastes. Ich würde das Restaurant nicht mehr besuchen.

We hadden geluk dat er net een tafel geannuleerd was. Inrichting heel bijzonder. Eten voortreffelijk. Heerlijke steenoven pizza sterne gehad. Pizza was groot genoeg. Bediening was goed. Ondanks dat het druk was hadden ze alles onder controle.

Pizza war lauwarm bis kalt. Der Schinken hat sehr billig geschmeckt. Sehr stark nach Schwein. Bei einer anderen Pizza war sogar noch das Netz dran, wo der Schinken umwickelt war. Danach haben wir eine halbe Stunde auf die Rechnung gewartet nach dem dritten Mal fragen kam sie endlich mach 10 minuten ich bin mit Hunger rein und mit Hunger raus aus dem Restaurant. Eine wirkliche Zumutung. Da hol ich mir lieber eine Tiefkühlpizza. Die ist wenigstens war und ich werde satt. Ein Stern gibt es für den Service. ( Chef war sich zu schade, selbst eine Entschuldigung auszusprechen)

Alles absolut stimmig. Service aufmerksam, schnell und freundlich. Das servierte Essen toll angerichtet. Geschmack und Zubereitung erstklassig. Vielen Dank. Die Live-Musik hat uns ebenfalls sehr gefallen. Ein stimmgewaltiger und tonsicherer Musiker. Toll!

Die Pizza Calzone war lauwarm. Über eine Stunde Wartezeit auf das Essen. Eine Vorspeiese wurde garnicht gebracht. Die Getränke kamen teilweise falsch. Lediglich eine Bedienung (mit Gipsarm) war sehr freundlich. NICHT EMPFEHLENSWERT.

Immer wieder gut. Großes Plus sind auch die durchgehenden Öffnungszeiten, sodass man sich auch am Nachmittag hier treffen kann. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Ist mit dem Parkhaus auf der Rottstrasse auch super zu erreichen.

Sehr freundliches Personal und schönes Ambiente

Eher kinderunfreundlich, bieten keine Kinderportionen an. Finde das ist ein Unding. Die Qualität ist eigentlich recht gut, der Thunfisch war aber sehr versalzen und dadurch war die Pizza nicht zu genießen. Bei dem Preis…
