CAP1 Restaurant in Baesweiler

We ate at CAP1 for the first time this evening and were given a very friendly welcome and the staff were very friendly too. Next we ordered our food, for which we had to wait a full 40 minutes. My wife's meal was a disappointment: veal schnitzel, there were three small minute steaks on the plate and they were really tough, not to mention the side salad. We were really disappointed. We certainly won't be eating there again. And don't be fooled by other people's 5-star reviews.

The service was very friendly, and the location was lovely. However, the pasta dish was disappointing: the tagliatelle was cooked very soft, so everything stuck together, and it was almost unseasoned...

We enjoyed going there, even with our friends. Unfortunately, the menu, with the exception of pinsa, has remained unchanged for years. CAP1 would benefit from a variety of dishes, and perhaps it would be better to announce this more often on social media.

While I didn’t expect to find such a memorable spot so far from home, this restaurant quickly became a favorite during my stay. Whether you’re a local or a traveler like me, I highly recommend giving Cap1 a visit and try to Rumpsteak pepper sauce — Rumpsteak herb It’s a place where great food and good vibes come together effortlessly.

I've been to CAP1 four times now & I've had a great time every time! The atmosphere is modern & cozy - perfect for staying in for a drink after your meal. The menu is very diverse: from a great selection of starters to salads, schnitzels, burgers and pasta. The shrimp salad in particular is my personal highlight. Not least because here, unlike what I know from other restaurants, there is actually a lot of seafood in the salad. The team is still very young & very attentive. The service was particularly impressive because when I ordered I was proactively offered to replace the peppers and cucumbers I had ordered with something else. I've never experienced that before either. Therefore: an absolute recommendation!

Overall it was a nice evening with the family. A few small things that have been fixed and hopefully not common.

The restaurant was full and it took a while for the friendly waiter to arrive. Unfortunately my receipt was lost, but this was quickly resolved. The chicken schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce was very well done and the fries lacked salt, but overall the food was still good. I'll definitely come back.

I find the place contemporary and inviting. We enjoyed the food that was served, it was sufficient and something special to look at. So the price-performance ratio was right. That wasn't our last visit.

I was at CAP1 with my friends to break my fast. We had great service that served our large group very well, my truffleburger was very unusual and incredibly tasty and on top of that the team even gave us dates and appetizers on the house so that we could break our fast and not have to wait so long for the food. I felt very comfortable and was especially impressed by the food!

Typical system catering, very well executed. Steaks are always 98% cooked. Salad completely ok. Bread delicious. Service top. You really don't believe that you belong to a chain that doesn't have 100% identical dishes in the other restaurants. Hats off, the team has to be there. Can recommend man. Ambiance Easter holidays aimed at quick flow, not for a nice evening for two. But there are certainly better restaurants. Nevertheless, 4 good points, especially because of the service and chefs.

Fantastic culinary experience at CAP1! Our group of six was completely thrilled. The diverse menu offered something for every taste, and every dish was of excellent quality. The attentive service and the modern ambience also contributed to a successful evening. We can fully recommend the CAP1 and are already looking forward to our next visit!

We were there as part of a college celebration. The restaurant was well attended. Nevertheless, the service and kitchen ran like clockwork. The service staff were always friendly and committed to the guests' wishes. Despite the high level of activity, the food was prepared quickly and met the highest standards of quality. I can't speak for the entire meal, but the beef burger was damn tasty, the price isn't the highest, €16.70 and you're really full. The food is ready quickly and the service is also quick and polite. The chairs are pretty comfortable and there is an open kitchen, the atmosphere is great too.

Unfortunately, it took a long time to eat, even though there wasn't really much going on at lunchtime. The dishes such as the rump steak or the Philly cheese steak burger were excellent, unfortunately the fries were extremely hard (maybe fried twice)

The atmosphere in the restaurant left something to be desired from the start. The bright lighting was particularly unpleasant. Instead of an inviting and cozy atmosphere, the light made you feel downright uncomfortable. After a while it actually hurt my eyes to be in the room. The wait for the food was also a big disappointment. It took so long that it felt like the ingredients had yet to be sourced or even hunted. When the dishes finally came, they weren't even served at the same time, which significantly disrupted the shared enjoyment. Another point of criticism was the appetizer platter. With a price of 40 euros, we expected a high-quality and generous selection. Instead we got a small portion with some fried elements, a few olives and pepperoni. The price-performance ratio was absolutely not given here. The main courses couldn't make up for this bad impression. The schnitzels were tasteless and greasy, making them barely edible. The burgers were okay, but by no means special or worth mentioning. Overall, the food left an impression of lovelessness and poor quality. Unfortunately, the entire visit did not give the impression of a restaurant that values ​​a positive guest experience. Rather, it felt like staying in an overpriced canteen where neither the quality of the food nor the atmosphere lived up to the high prices. Conclusion: Upscale chip shop with canteen quality!

Super fast service... Ambience was very nice and tastefully decorated... Bruschetta one of the tastiest I've ever had... To the Philly Cheese Steak Burger that was recommended to us. It was tasty but in our opinion it lacked a bit of spice but that could also be a matter of taste. The food itself is of very good quality. The fries were very tasty.

We ate there for the first time today. We called at short notice and were still able to reserve a table for four people. We were told in advance that unfortunately we could only stay for two hours because the table would be reserved from then on. When we paid, they even apologized for the fact that the table was unfortunately only available for two hours had. We haven't been served so politely in a long time!!! Dogs are also welcome there. The staff is also very polite and accommodating. The food is unbeatable. It's been a long time since we've had such a good meal outside. We are really excited. My husband and youngest son both had pepper steak. My oldest had a crusty burger and I had fried prawns. We are visiting down here from Schleswig-Holstein and will definitely come back on our next visit!!!. Prices are also unbeatable. Highly recommended!!!

The food was very tasty. Unfortunately our order got lost in the kitchen, which meant we had to wait a little longer for our food. To compensate, we got a starter and dessert on the house. Something like that is not a given. Deserves 5 stars

The service staff were very nice. The food was ok, but good value for money. The worst thing I actually found was that it was totally dirty. There were leftover food and a lot of dirt under the table. There were a lot of butt stubs outside, right behind the window where we were sitting. But the worst thing I found was that the high chair that my son had to sit in had to be thoroughly cleaned by me because it was so dirty. We probably won't eat there again.

Very courteous service. The location is super cozy with the colorful armchairs. The food is tasty, especially the fries are fresh and homemade. On the weekly menu there was a cookie in the pan for dessert. It was so good that the cookie should be added to the menu! The house lemonades are relatively expensive and come in small glasses. All in all we were very satisfied here.

The food is very tasty and I think everyone will find something they like to eat there. Drinks are also well chilled. The restaurant and the outdoor terrace are simple but modern. The only thing I would like to see is a separate smoking area outside. If you're sitting at the table and 5-6 people come out to smoke and are standing right next to our table, it doesn't have to be that way. There is also air in the staff, at least some of them. There is too much variation among the staff between attention and disinterest. Therefore 1 star deduction for staff and smoking area.

The CAP1 restaurant in Baesweiler offers an excellent menu with delicious dishes and attentive service. The selection of dishes is varied and the quality of the food is outstanding. I was particularly impressed by the creativity and freshness of the dishes. Unfortunately, our visit was a little marred after the main course as we were no longer served and had to ask for dessert and drinks ourselves. Nevertheless, we found the visit to CAP1 to be pleasant and would be happy to come back!

First of all, big compliments to the kitchen, the food tastes good. The ambience is also chic. Service is really bad. A total of six orders were forgotten throughout the evening. In my opinion, there were a lot of staff present, and the staff often stood around bored and had nothing to do. If something new came along in the way of drinks or something similar, the empty one was usually not taken away. I think the price ratio for starters is sometimes too expensive. Prices for the main dishes are ok except for pizza, which is too expensive. Well, the highlight is breakfast the next morning. I travel a lot on business and stay in many hotels. I have never experienced such a price. I was allowed to pay €25 for breakfast and there were two more drinks (water), which you have to pay separately. Absolutely cheeky for the selection. For comparison, you normally pay between €11-18 for breakfast in a hotel and you can drink as much water/tea/coffee/juice as you want. I will not visit this restaurant again. After all, I don't just pay for food but also for service and what you pay is too much. Conclusion: Tasty but incompetent staff and overpriced.

This is the first time I've edited a review down and it's very rare that I even give it one star, but here it's more than deserved. If you don't have enough staff, you don't accept any more guests and tell the guests that they have to expect a waiting time. For us that meant: - 1.5 hour wait without warning and food only came after 2 complaints and the threat that this would be our last visit - Despite the fact that I emphasized twice that it was really important that my steak was medium rare, I got a well-done steak (the same for my son). I told the waiter this, but also said that I would have the steak now because I didn't want to have to wait any longer. - it gave the impression that individual ingredients were no longer available. We were told this beforehand when it came to the burger bun. - During the long waiting time, no one even asked if everything was okay or if we would like something more to drink - as compensation for all the trouble, we were given drinks for free (everyone had a cola). I was really upset until I got the bill. When I saw the bill I was outraged. It's really a disgrace to charge for the incorrectly fried steaks after the waiting time. A messy Mother's Day all around.

We had a super delicious breakfast here. The coffee products were delicious and the bread selection was good. Sausage and cheese were fresh and the egg dishes were also very tasty. All in all highly recommended.

People, people, people... Here is a young team that is super attentive, friendly and well trained to serve you. The food was (surprisingly, I have to admit!) great: from the (supposedly) simple Wiener Schnitzel to the perfectly prepared pasta dishes - very, very good. It's great how the head (??) chef uses cooking tweezers to lift the pasta with sauce onto the plate. Great taste, nice presentation of the food. All of this at a fair price. For us the best food/restaurant in the Übach-Palenberg/Geilenkirchen & Co. area. Bravo!!

We've had breakfast there twice. Not a very large selection but quite sufficient for the price and is always freshly prepared. That's why you sometimes have to wait for the scrambled eggs or the pancakes.
