Pho bowl is special, but not very delicious. Perhaps because it was early in the day, the broth was not yet rich and lacked vegetables. In addition, the space is cozy and the service is polite but not attentive.

Simply fantastic!!!! Food authentic and super tasty! No matter whether it's a starter, main course or dessert - it's simply excellent and gets the TOP recommendation from us. The service is courteous and very friendly. If the restaurant is full, you may have to wait a bit and be patient, but the food makes up for it! Price performance is also TOP. We can also highly recommend the Vietnamese coffee with ice cream and the mochi - totally delicious! A great restaurant - small but nice - with lots of delicacies. We always enjoy coming here.

We were able to sit last minute without a reservation. Tasty modern menu, attractive interior, reasonable prices.

Despite the store being full, we didn't have to wait long at all for our food! The service was super friendly, the prices are okay and the selection is really large👍🏼 I would be happy to come back again

The food was really good, definitely recommend the Pho and the duck with noodles. The broth of the Pho tasted fresh and delicious! Meanwhile the duck was as described crispy. We also tried the Cafe Saigon, it was really good. The only thing with Cao is that the waitresses were not nice and a bit dismissive to selected customers. Still a good vietnamese restaurant to try anytime one passes by Trier.

We were at CAO Trier yesterday and felt very comfortable. After a large Pho soup with leek, coriander and chicken - which was very delicious, we took a rice dish (chicken, vegetables, peanut paste) with us. A dream... We would love to come back.

We did take away, the food was ready on time and everything was delicious. Price - quality really great!

Ok but portions are small, with little meat, I think the current rating is overestimated.

Rarely have I eaten such simple dishes with such great flavor intensity. An absolute must when visiting Trier.

Great restaurant. Not a huge menu, but enough selection to make you happy. The meal took a little (!) longer than average, but it was very busy and we didn't have a reservation. We were happy to even get a table. When it arrived it was very tasty and prepared with lots of fresh ingredients (mushrooms, vegetables etc). (Almost) everything as far as I can remember is also available vegetarian with tofu. Great value for money!

The dishes are so tastefully and traditionally prepared that no other Vietnamese restaurant can compete. Absolutely recommended for anyone who values ​​real Vietnamese cuisine!

Very awesome Vietnamese and authentic food. The service is great. I found the high chairs at the high table quite uncomfortable. The normal seats are very comfortable. Drinks and food came very quickly, even though there was only one lady in service. I really liked it here!

The best and already my favorite slant-eyed restaurant. You must try the transparent rice rolls. It's very delicious and you can immediately see what you're eating 🤭 Everything was very delicious. It is worth trying both the meat and vegan dishes. Finally, vegans can also order normal meatless dishes instead of handshakes. 🫣😀

Apparently it's not possible to reserve a table outside unless you're good friends with the boss.

Food was fine, but there was a hair in my bowl. Were not allowed to make a reservation outside, but friends of the owner apparently did. Service was unfriendly. Wouldn't recommend this.

Best restaurant in Trier. Very good music, very friendly service and very good food. You feel absolutely comfortable, I can only recommend it. A big compliment to Linh, definitely a cool guy who is very friendly and accommodating.

The BEST restaurant in all of Trier. Beautiful ambience, especially outside, you feel like you're on vacation. There is a great selection of drinks, as well as a great selection of delicious food. The waitresses are extremely friendly and professional, especially Sari is a treasure of gold. Highly recommended, 10/10.

Lovely little restaurant, nicely decorated with plants. Food was great, we had the fried noodles with duck and the pho with duck. Dog friendly and a nice atmosphere. We came for lunch on a Friday and they were mostly full.

The food was great! The curry dishes taste great and if you want to try something new you should definitely try the Bao Burgers. Price performance is simply right here. The service was very friendly, so we had a very nice evening at Cao. I will gladly come again!.

Burgers had the tastiest meat I've ever tasted. I'll try bun bo nam bo (noodles with the same meat) next time.

They did want give us tablet because we are with kids, but obviously there are 2 free table.

Food is great but all around customer service is not always good. First of all, sent a message to book on the contact form but never received an answer. Arrived to a fairly busy restaurant with just one waitress. Phone kept ringing but nobody answered. Waited 30minutes for the waitress to take my order…. Again, only plus point is food… such a shame. Restaurant needs to up it’s game in terms of service.

You're sitting pretty tight in a small room without much space. It is also relatively loud. The food itself was quite good, but somehow I was missing that certain something.

The food was very good. The service was ok. At the beginning we were greeted in a friendly way but then they forgot our drinks and to send our order to the kitchen… the table next to us arrived later and were already eating. We were expecting some compensation (free coffee for example) for the incident but we didn’t get anything. The place is cosy but very small so it can get quite crowded and loud.

Food great, atmosphere appealing and not over the top. Small but extremely good menu, still very rich and also great dishes for vegetarians. Gladly again

Sehr lange Wartezeiten, wir haben über eine Stunde auf‘s Essen gewartet. Es hat zwar sehr gut geschmeckt. Vom Essen her sehr gut, jedoch plant viel Zeit mit ein.:) Update : Die Wartezeit hat sich deutlich verbessert. Sehr zufrieden, danke!:)

Ein wirklich tolles Restaurant, das Essen ist immer frisch und sehr lecker! Absolut empfehlenswert! Der einzige Minuspunkt ist das Hunde erlaubt sind… Das Lokal ist super klein und wenn es geregnet hat, riecht jeder Bissen nach nassem Vierbeiner…. Tipp: Auf jeden Fall reservieren, sehr beliebtes Restaurant.

Essen online zur Abholung bestellt. Keine Wartezeit , Curry und Fleisch getrennt eingepackt. Somit was das Fleisch noch knusprig. Geschmacklich sehr gut , kann ich nur weiterempfehlen

Seit vielen Jahren eins meiner liebsten Restaurants in Trier. Die Pho Suppe und der Reisnudelsalat sind meine persönliche Empfehlung. Das Essen schmeckt immer sehr lecker, es gibt eine große vegetarische Auswahl. Das Restaurant ist immer gut besucht, reservieren lohnt sich.

Wir sind hier öfter zum Mittagessen und es ist stets sehr lecker! Ich kann das Cao uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Wir waren mit Hund da und uns wurde der schlechte Tisch direkt an der Tür gegeben. Meine Wan Tan Suppe war sehr lecker. Die knusprige Ente wurde leider von Erdnuss Sauce ertränkt.

Ich war mit meiner Familie da und wir waren alle superzufrieden... Super Preisleistungsverhältnis und netter Service. Hatten zwar nicht reserviert aber trotzdem einen Platz bekommen.👍

Tolles Restaurant, kommen seit Jahren dort essen. Besonders toll finden wir, dass fast alle Gerichte auch in vegetarisch verfügbar sind. Servicekräfte sind sehr nett und aufmerksam, das Ambiente ist super! Immer wieder gerne :)

Zeer lekkere pho gegeten die zeker niet te duur was, de bediening was correct maar niet super vriendelijk.

Sehr leckeres, traditionelles Essen. Frisch gekocht. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis In der Nähe der Fußgängerzone. Toiletten sind sanierungsbedürftig.

Das Cao bietet viele sehr leckere vietnamesische Gerichte an - ich habe mich schon durchprobiert und kann mich nicht entscheiden, welches ich am leckersten finde. Service top, ich komme immer wieder gerne :)

Wir waren zu zweit zum Abendessen dort. Es war viel los, der Service nur zu zweit, das hat man leider auch gemerkt: Tische wurden nach Verlassen der Gäste ewig nicht geräumt und gereinigt, etliche Male liefan an Tischen vorbei, die etwas bestellen wollten. Wir bestellten gleich nach Erhalt des ersten Getränks das zweite Getränk, was dann tatsächlich pünktlich zum Leeren des ersten Getränks ankam. Das Essen war qualitativ gut und lecker. Einziges Manko: Die Vorspeise sollte als Hauptspeise serviert werden (es wurde extra nachgefragt), das kam leider nicht an und die Portion war relativ klein. Die Getränke- und Speiseauswahl ist vielseitig und jeder mit einem Hang zur asiatischen Küche sollte etwas finden. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die Freundlichkeit der männlichen Servicekraft. Wenn man ihn nicht vergraulen möchte, sollte man vielleicht etwas Unterstützung organisieren.

Es war ein toller Abend, das Essen war wunderbar und das Personal sehr nett und kompetent.

Das Essen ist gut, aber kaum als traditionell Vietnamesisch zu bezeichnen. Wir hatten verschiedene Hauptspeisen, alle mit handelsüblichen Saucen, süss-sauer und Gyoza Sauce. Man sollte auf jeden Fall reservieren, um zu vermeiden, über eine Stunde auf sein Essen zu warten. Die Küche war schon ab 17 Uhr überfordert, die Bedienung allerdings ist sehr aufmerksam und nett. Und dann funktioniert die Kartenzahlung auch noch nicht. Alles in Allem eine Enttäuschung.

We hebben hier heel lekker gegeten. Ruime porties, echt Vietnamese keuken. We hadden mazzel dat we een plekje hadden. Fijne bediening!

Sehr leckeres Restaurant in direkter nähe zur Fußgängerzone. Der Service ist super freundlich und das Ambiente sehr einladend. Wir waren bereits mehrmals dort und haben immer sehr lecker gegessen! Im Sommer kann man sehr gemütlich auf der Terrasse sitzen und einen schönen Abend mit Freunden genießen.

Sehr leckeres Essen - es klang so Vieles so lecker, wir konnten uns erst gar nicht entscheiden. Die Bedienung hat uns aber sehr nett beraten. Es wird mit frischem Gemüse gekocht, rotes Curry war sehr sehr lecker, nicht zu scharf (aber wir können auch gut scharf essen, für jemanden der nie scharf ist vermutlich zu scharf :) ) Hausgemachter Eistee auch sehr lecker. Wir saßen draußen, aber drinnen auch sehr schön eingerichtet. Saubere Toilette.

Der BESTE Vietnamese in Trier und Umgebung. Das Essen ist extrem (!) Frisch und mit ganz viel Liebe zubereitet. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Man fühlt sich sehr willkommen und die Atmosphäre ist sehr schön!! Auch die Getränke sind sehr lecker und es gibt immer wieder was neues auf der Karte:)

Amazing restaurant, every dish on our table was super tasty. The staff was very friendly, especially to our kid who was very happy with the place and the waitress. Drinks were delicious as well, recommend the Mix Plate of starters to get the most of every taste.
