Excellent meat, beautifully presented food. Turkish cuisine is celebrated here in a pleasant atmosphere.

The service was incredibly fast; we'd barely sat down when the menus arrived. The food came very quickly too and was absolutely delicious! The portions are huge, the prices are low. The meat is fresh and juicy, and the ambiance is great – a really lovely atmosphere. We'll definitely be back! 😊

I've rarely seen such a rip-off. I just wanted to buy a kebab box to go, but only with kebab meat. It was just a question of whether it would be possible for her. The language barrier made it difficult to understand how much it would cost, how much, etc. In the end, I got what felt like three forks of kebab meat, and he wanted TEN euros for it. His explanation was that he put as much meat as in a kebab parcel, so I would have to pay that much for a whole kebab. He apparently didn't care that the bread was missing, the sauce was missing, or the salad was missing. I didn't feel like arguing any further during the initial conversation. I paid and left, but I will never set foot in that shop again. He could have said no, I would have agreed, but not like that.

I just ordered an Adana roll here. I ate a bit or two of it. The meat wasn't cooked through and tasted of nothing. I had more gristle than meat in my mouth. I mentioned this when paying, and the waiter said that because the meat was fresh, it looked raw. Of course, I haven't eaten fresh meat to this day, and I don't know what it tastes or looks like after it's been properly prepared. Despite my complaint and returning the dürüm, I paid the full price. Thanks for nothing.

I visited the Turkish restaurant and was overall satisfied, but there were a few points of criticism. The food tasted really good – fresh, aromatic, and authentically prepared. The selection of dishes was absolutely sufficient, and there was something for everyone. What was a bit disappointing, however, were the portion sizes. The plates were rather modestly filled, so you didn't feel completely full – especially considering the price. The service could also have been a bit more attentive. While the staff were polite, they lacked a bit of attentiveness and friendliness. All in all, a restaurant with delicious food and a decent selection, but with room for improvement in the portion size and service.

Simply Top Notch We were there on a Saturday afternoon, and it was completely packed. - But the servers were always on the ball, remained cool and polite, and were super fast. The food was excellent, as was everything else. We'd love to come back.

It's actually a very tasty Adana skewer, but I think it's a bit silly that you don't get any bread to go with the two sauces. The prices are going up, but you still get less food than before, and charging €5-6 for a bit of ezme is really excessive. It's a shame.

This Kurdish restaurant is a complete disaster. They are only focused on money. My daughter wanted 2 Adana and 2 lamb skewers WITHOUT a side dish. They charged the full price for 2 plates. We had to pay €37.20 for it! I thought that was disgraceful. Et paca and künefe wasn't the burner last time either. There was far too little meat in it and the künefe just tasted like cardboard. That was the last time we were here. 👎

I really liked it there! The atmosphere is very cozy and sociable. You're right in the middle of the action and it's busy, but it's cozy and you can still have a good time! The food was delicious and my Falafel Dürüm was really big and well filled for the price! Price-performance is top. The mocha was very tasty and so was the delicious starter plate. The dip: Atom has it all! Watch out! But the spiciness really wakes you up! Recommended for a cozy, nice evening with action and nice staff. You felt very welcome ;)

Wishes are ignored. Had three Adana, a mixed grill plate and two Lahmacun for the children. I told the waitress that the lahmacun should only be served with a green salad. Of course everything was slapped on top. When I asked him about it, he became very unfriendly and said what would happen if there was more salad on the plate. Update November 27, 2024 Unfortunately, after six years, we were back in this restaurant today. Shortly after we sat down, the waiter came to the table. I found his chewing gum very unpleasant. But maybe no one explained to him that that came across as very rude. We ordered a mixed grill plate, an Adana plate and a Beyti Kebab. We took 3 cokes to drink. The food came quickly but the waiter was, to put it politely, more than listless and unmotivated. The Adana skewers were still raw inside and so I asked the waiter to put the skewers on the grill again. The chef wasn't happy about that and got upset. He cut the skewers lengthwise and complained the whole time. We ate and I paid at the counter. €70.50 for the above-mentioned food and drinks. I didn't get a receipt and only realized on the way that I had been overcharged. The whole visit to this restaurant was a failure and I hope that in six years I won't make the mistake of eating here again.

Went there with a friend 2 weeks ago and ate the platter for 2. I actually don't like lamb chops because they often taste very stale. But this was not the case with Can. This was by far the best lamb I have ever eaten. Quite apart from the amount you get there for €44, we really struggled towards the end. The waitresses are extremely nice, courteous and regularly ask if everything is okay. However, it doesn't make it annoying, quite the opposite. I can only recommend it and me and my friend will definitely come regularly. The atmosphere is really old school and very idyllic.

So I will never come here again! During my lunch break I wanted to have a chip and a drink with my girlfriend. The service was disastrous. We were not taken seriously and we felt completely ignored. The store was almost empty and we still had to wait a long time for this simple order. The mayonnaise had a pudding-like consistency, not good. But the bad thing was the pay. I paid around 20 euros for two fries and drinks. How can that be? We felt like we were being pulled away. So really not recommended. There are better places in Bielefeld.

Can is now my go-to place and now that I've been able to try the platter for two people there, I'm a huge fan. The best Adana in the city, the chicken is very juicy, the salad is a little more exciting than anywhere else, perfect Side dishes. The only update I would like to see is the lavash bread and perhaps a grilled tomato on the plate. The atmosphere and the people are super pleasant and word has already gotten around how nice the waiters are.

We ordered an Adana and kebab plate. The plates looked nice, but the food didn't taste particularly good. The Adana meat had nothing to do with lamb. The fries were soggy wet and not seasoned. The bread, two different types, was simply cold. The music plays quite loudly in the place and it can get very hot on summer days. Apparently there is no air conditioning. The side windows still don't open, only the main entrance. The staff is nice. Both the Adana and the kebab plate failed to convince us.

The prices. People. 7€ for a large cola beer. Lamb kebab 10€. I was there last time. With Pyro it's not that expensive.

Despite the high quality of the food and the excellent service, the prices are fair and reasonable. Overall, the Can Ocakbasi GmbH Restaurant is an outstanding address for all lovers of Turkish cuisine. We ordered 2 dishes and a small fries (for our daughter) and were told extra ketchup in a bowl. I have to say that the waiter once again had nothing to write down for the order. For the main course, I was told 4 times to please put no sauce on the pide (boat) when it came out of the oven, and it was confirmed that it had been understood. A main course came and the second course and fries didn't. After about 5 minutes, the fries come with ketchup on the fries and the boat has the sauce on top (as mentioned before 4 times without sauce)... what can you say about that, we came as a family and wanted to eat together. Well unfortunately we will never come here again.

I ate a doner plate there with my family 3 times! There was a hair in one of the plates, why don't you just wear a hood to prevent something like that. I had mayonnaise on my fries and it was hard and yellow. We also had rice that was old, hard and cold.

The food was okay, but an employee threatened to beat someone who wanted to collect his smartphone because he thought the guest didn't want to pay, which he obviously did. The employee then asked for his smartphone as a deposit: the guest said it was €30, which he even put on the table when he left. He doesn't have a wallet with him and can only pay with Apple Pay and was then directly threatened with violence Unbelievable what this employee allows himself!

We have been here several times. Before and after renovation. Unfortunately the prices have risen and the menu has been reduced, but that also means that it is easier to calculate with less choice. The food is always delicious and is freshly grilled on site. Our favorites are the grill plate and the lamb skewer rolled in flatbread with salad and yogurt. Best lamb doner meat that is not stretched with minced lamb.

Unfortunately I have to agree with the other critical reviews. I've always enjoyed eating here before, but I think I'll have to look for a new place now. The menu has been drastically reduced and unfortunately many very tasty dishes have been omitted. The prices have increased significantly (we paid €75 for two adults and three children who only ate fries!) and the quality has declined. I asked the waiter if we could get a small plate of kebab meat for the children. No, it wasn't there. They don't do that here, if I did I would have to order a kebab plate for the children. The dishes all arrived at a different time so that my husband could eat while the children watched him. The kebab meat had a very strange consistency, not at all like what you're used to. In addition, the meat was hardly seasoned. No typical spices as we know them from Turkish cuisine. The new chairs and tables are very stylish, but I found the table height too high when sitting on the benches by the window (I'm 1.60cm). It's a shame, I really enjoyed eating here. That was our last visit to the restaurant.

We were very loyal customers of this restaurant. It's a shame that there was such a negative aura after the renovation. I don't have to go into detail about how the operation was before and how it is now. I would accept the prices if the quality was right. It's a shame that you no longer have something that was good.

Unfortunately the food does not correspond to the price and quality. The Adana Kebab was still raw inside and the quality of the meat does not live up to the name.

As a long-time regular customer who has been regularly satisfied over the last 15 years, I unfortunately have to say that the quality of the restaurant has recently deteriorated. Despite a modern redesign of the interior, the food quality leaves a lot to be desired since the shop apparently has a new owner. It is unfortunate that the once delicious food and attentive service no longer meet the usual high standards.

Unfortunately, our earnings will no longer be... Unfortunately there was no more kebab plate with chicken in 2024... What a real shame!!? Things that are very popular are taken off the menu...
