I swear, I've rarely experienced such a disaster in my entire life. You hear everywhere how "good" this place is supposed to be – I really wonder who said that. Probably someone who's never really eaten a meal. As I walked in, I briefly thought, "Okay, it looks pretty cozy." But that was it. After that, everything was just embarrassing. The service was nice, but it stuck to our table like chewing gum under our shoes – you couldn't even talk normally for two minutes without someone coming right back. And now for the food… I really thought I was going to have a heart attack. There were three of us, everyone ordered something different – ​​and no one could eat it. It was just bland, dry, and tasteless. Honestly, even a frozen pizza from a discount store would have had more passion on the plate. More than half of it was left standing – and that says it all. But now comes the absolute joke: the prices! I don't know if they think they're cooking in a luxury restaurant, but for the amount they charge, you should at least get something edible. Instead, it tastes like leftovers from the day before. And the fact that the meze plate is more expensive than the main course is just outrageous. Conclusion: Taste = 0, value for money = disaster, service = nerve-racking. I don't call this gastronomy, I call it pure rip-off with all the decorations. One star is already too many here – they should actually be allowed to deduct points.

We had a wonderful meal here. It was very good and also quick, with hospitable service. The price-quality ratio is also excellent. We will definitely be back. The lime spritzer was delicious.

I was truly disappointed. The prices feel like they're sky-high—barely affordable! Even a small dish costs over €22, which I don't think is justified at all. On top of that, the soup was served cold, and there were a few other things that just weren't right. For the money, I would have expected significantly more quality and care. Unfortunately, this isn't a place I can recommend. The way the waiters spoke was very arrogant and not at all natural.

Warning! Yesterday, a group of seven of us had a wonderful dinner. We were ripped off by the waiter. He charged our last colleague 35 euros for extras under the pretext that another colleague hadn't paid. The waiter, an older gentleman, seemed to be the head waiter. His behavior was very poor. The old man should be ashamed of himself!

Five of us had breakfast and were unfortunately very disappointed. After placing our order, it took about half an hour for the food to be served gradually. My request for a fully cooked egg was ignored – it was half-raw and smelled strongly of egg. My polite request for it to be cooked again was met with an unfriendly response. The breakfast costs €17.99 per person, but it mainly consists of a few slices of cheese and an egg. Everything else is served in very small portions. The bread was dry and partially burnt, so we asked for a replacement. A member of staff then came out of the kitchen and spoke to us very rudely and disrespectfully. He wanted to argue with us instead of simply solving the problem. Overall, we didn't feel comfortable and found the value for money absolutely inadequate. Based on our experience, we unfortunately cannot recommend this restaurant.

The food wasn't anything special. Neither was the restaurant or the ambiance. A homeless woman was screaming loudly outside. For two people, the bill quickly reached over €100, even though we only had one plate and one drink each. And the waitress pulled a face when you gave her a 10% tip. I won't have to subject myself to that place again.

This is our first time at Cagdas as tourists and we were very impressed by the friendly, attentive service, and pleasant atmosphere. The lentil soup alone was worth a visit to Cagdas...we highly recommend it. Super, super delicious. Thank you for the lovely stay.

Late at night, I was looking for a place to get takeout. The aroma of the grill drew me to this restaurant. I ordered a mixed grill and asked if it was okay to pop to the supermarket for a quick bite. She assured me it was no problem. Once back, the food was ready right on time. Super fast, friendly service and incredibly delicious food. The Adana kebab and the chicken wings were my favorites.

My wife and I went to çağdaş today. Unfortunately, we have to say we were disappointed, especially compared to previous visits, where we were very satisfied with the quality. We had the beyti dish, but this time it was significantly less than it was in several respects. Important ingredients like the usual, delicious melted butter and fresh tomatoes were missing. The meat was extremely spicy, even though the dish was supposed to be only slightly spicy. ⁠What was particularly negative was that the meat contained a lot of cartilage, which made the food significantly less edible. We also noticed that the portions were significantly smaller than before, while the prices had increased significantly. The value for money suffered considerably as a result.

We reserved a table on the terrace via Google, but unfortunately, no one knew about it. We were shown to a table in the restaurant on the first floor. It was quiet. The food was OK, and the service was good.

The food was truly delicious, and the staff, as always, very friendly. Unfortunately, the prices have become significantly too high these days. Lentil soup for €7.50 or chicken skewers for €18.50 – that's simply too much, especially for a restaurant serving good, yet down-to-earth food in the city center. I've been here many times and actually enjoy coming, but with these prices, I'll think twice about coming back in the future. It's a shame! Luckily, there are other restaurants that also serve delicious food for less money.

Erg goed. Ondanks drukte van de kerstmarkt werd er toch gekeken voor een plekje. Het personeel was vriendelijk en het eten erg goed. Wij hadden de gemixte grill voor 4 personen. Deze was erg goed, ruim voldoende in hoeveelheid. Gezellig en lekker gegeten. Zeker een aanrader!

We were in the restaurant last night (10/11/2024 around 9:00 p.m.) (3 women and a baby) and were very professionally ignored. The table we sat at was still dirty. We waited at least 10 minutes to even be noticed, but that didn't happen. After we spoke to the waiter (tall with a beard) he came He came to the table with empty plates only to see that the table hadn't been cleaned yet. He then asked us rather arrogantly why we hadn't sat down at the table next to us that had already been set. But there was a large and clear reserved sign on it, which we told him. With a wave of his hand, indicating that we were stupid, he said that nothing was reserved and the sign didn't mean anything - we are customers, not employees who might know something like that. In any case, he left again and never came back. Neither the table was cleaned nor what was ordered taken. Of course we didn't get the menu either. After another 20 minutes we got up. With another condescending hand gesture we were then bid farewell by the same waiter. Now my father is a regular customer and is always treated politely and courteously. I find it appalling that customers are treated miserably when they are not already known, or was it because we were only women with children and there was no man sitting at the table with us? I've been coming to Cagdas for years and have never been disappointed. The food was always delicious and the service was and is always very good. My favorite is the grill plate for 2 people for 43.80. Fair price for the quality. I've often eaten grill plates elsewhere ,but Cagdas the best.

I was in this restaurant today with my little dog and asked the owner beforehand if it was okay if I sat on the terrace of the cafe with my dog. He allowed it. Absolutely the worst restaurant I have visited. Stale bread, incompetent waiters (rude) I've been there twice and both times I was brought the wrong food. Very very bad service. Not recommended.

It was very bad service. Waiter of Pakistani descent was joking very negatively. When asked whether salami was halal, he said “it doesn’t matter.” My wife orders pizza and gets iskender. The waiter says eat it or leave, the kitchen is closed. Unbelievably never going out to eat again.
