Best restaurant in a long time. The service was wonderful, and the sea bass was divine. If you're in Bad König, you can't miss the Poseidon. We'll be back. Thank you for the excellent food.

Really nothing to complain about. Very friendly staff, delicious food, and a very pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend eating here. We each chose a starter, main course, and dessert per person.

I've been regularly visiting this lovely lakeside restaurant in Bad König since 2018. I'm always impressed by the great ambiance, the friendliness of the staff, and the delicious food. I'm already looking forward to the next time 🥰

My wife and I dined here for the first time, and certainly not the last. Despite having full reservations, everything from ordering to payment was handled professionally and quickly by attentive, friendly staff. Even the manager was present and very helpful and friendly. We have never visited a better Greek restaurant.

The food, service, and ambiance were simply perfect. I ordered a grilled plate without lamb. It arrived, but unfortunately, I wasn't quite full. They immediately responded and brought me a huge portion of gyro with tzatziki, free of charge. Everyone was very attentive and very, very friendly. But you should definitely make a reservation in advance! It's completely sold out, and it's difficult to get a table without a reservation. It's simply perfect, highly recommended, and worth a visit.

Today we had lunch at Poseidon for the first time. The server was very friendly and accommodating. Our dog was allowed into the beer garden and immediately given a bowl of water. The food was delicious. The portions could have been a bit larger. To finish off, we were served a very appealing dessert. A great alternative to the often-used "digestive schnapps," which we'd rather do without, but which not everyone can or wants. We'll definitely be back soon.

Located right next to the Essen Kurpark, the staff is super friendly and helpful. We were there in a wheelchair. Highly recommended.

We like coming here now in the summer, as the outdoor area has much more seating. Even in the rain, it's bearable, as the large awning covers most of the area. The indoor area and the pavilion aren't our cup of tea (cramped and noisy). First, what we don't like. Most of the tables for two are on the street side. When cars park here, it's unpleasant due to exhaust fumes and doors slamming. Perhaps this could be prevented by setting up parasols for these seating areas as well. Smoking breaks for the staff (male) shouldn't be held in full view. Why all 5 stars? Because these things have nothing to do with the actual purpose. Beautifully set tables with cloth napkins, a clean facility with attractive decor, attentive service, and, above all, very tasty food.

We were there for the first time on Saturday evening, and everything was just perfect! From the service to the taste of the food, and even though we had four different dishes, everything arrived at the same time and piping hot. Always happy to come back.

I was there with a wheelchair user and her friends. The location was nice, there were parking spaces, and there was plenty of shade if needed. The lunch menu was good in terms of price, quality, and quantity. Fish with rice and dill sauce was delicious. A small dessert was also good. The salad and dressing could be improved, though.

Calamari with vegetables! It was another experience.

When I first ordered through Lieferando there was a small misunderstanding with the portion size. But the restaurant responded immediately and demonstrated that they truly care about customer satisfaction. The boss contacted us personally and dispatched a supplier within a very short time. I received a much more generous portion - with extra bread, lots of olives and pepperoni, additional tzatziki and even triple the amount of eggplant and zucchini. As a nice gesture there was also a large bottle of apple spritzer. The delivery person was extremely friendly and even offered to carry the food upstairs. Truly outstanding customer service! Mistakes can happen, but when a restaurant responds so quickly and professionally, it deserves the highest recognition. Definitely worth recommending!

We went to this restaurant for the first time today. We weren't happy with the food. The meat was dry and tasteless. The warm starter platter for 14.90 euros is really a joke. A handful of zucchini sticks, 3 sticks of aubergine, a small corner of sheep's cheese, a small parika from the jar filled with two pieces of sheep's cheese. A few broad beans at this price. Inappropriate....should be reconsidered....

Nice, good restaurant, food good, only the wine is a bit too expensive, 7.90 euros for a house wine is quite steep. Otherwise everything is ok.

We went to Poseidon for the first time today! We were immediately warmly welcomed and given the menus straight away. The salad as a starter was very refreshing and delicious! The portion of the main courses was great and we enjoyed it very much! We actually got a small dessert on the house. The waitress asked us occasionally and was very pleasant and friendly. I can really recommend this restaurant, especially with the great location by the lake.

Modern ambience, Greek - European cuisine, attentive service

Although the cuisime is good, nothing spectacular to be but a wide variety of choices and typical Greek. The service was excellent, very friendly waiters who were prompt to make us acquainted and happy to serve customized dishes according to our choice. Very nice little restaurant near the pond, very calm surroundings.

We had dinner at Poseidon this evening after visiting Christmas Lights. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The ambience was very pleasant, well-kept atmosphere with white tablecloths and white cloth napkins. I would have liked even more variety in the warm starter plate. The Adonis plate was very good, the fries were golden and crispy.

The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere. The staff are friendly and take good care of their guests. The food offers a good variety. The prices are a bit more expensive, but you get exceptional, great dishes. Only the bifteki was a bit too dry.

Great location, right on the lake, super friendly staff, delicious starter, main course rich and tasty, unfortunately my gyros were mostly dry, small, over-seasoned leftover pieces, a shame. Other dishes were very good.

Good Greek restaurant right on the lake. It was dark where we were and unfortunately we didn't have a view. The bifteki was nice and juicy and slightly crispy on the outside. Exactly how it should be. The sheep's cheese with figs and the pistachio tiramisu were also very tasty. Only the syrup on the panacotta was too sweet for me personally. Reserved but friendly service. Card payment was no problem. Definitely recommended

A very nice restaurant, in winter there was even a heated tent set up in the beer garden. The food was very tasty. We had garlic plate and schnitzel, both highly recommended. Will definitely come back.

I chose the classic gyros which was really good with the meat. Nice and crispy on the outside and still nice and juicy in the middle. The fries that came with it were also crispy enough. I have rarely eaten such a good gyro and can therefore recommend it. The only thing, the side salad that seems to come with every meal, was a bit dry from the dressing. I would get vinegar and oil next time.

Got a table for two people with a dog at short notice. Unfortunately the lake is not well lit in the evening, but you can still take a short walk after dinner. The stuffed bifteki was very tasty and so was the grilled plate. Everything was great, unfortunately there was no more pistachio tiramisu. Service very friendly!

Cozy restaurant with very nice furnishings and a view of the lake. The food is good and the service is courteous. It is better to reserve in the evenings and on weekends.

Stayed there for a few nights nearby and ate here one evening. We received a very friendly welcome and space was made for our stroller so that we didn't get in the way. The staff was very friendly, the food was delicious. We can highly recommend it.

Great location, right next to the spa park. Large sun terrace with a view of the lake. Restaurant bright and very tastefully decorated. Food, service top. There is a greeting from the kitchen and a degustation on the house. The only criticism is that the music is very loud. The boss responded really well when asked. We'll definitely come back again.

Food mediocre and small portions of meat for a Greek restaurant. This particularly applies to the garlic plate. Reasonable prices - especially the children's plates for €6.

The food was delicious and there was a great selection of daily specials. We were all very happy and were able to enjoy the view of the lake in the nice weather. The restaurant is on the ground floor and offers both shady and sunny spots on the terrace. The service was great, even if the plates had already been cleared away even though one person was still eating... there was a little attention from the house for that.

We went to the restaurant for dinner with dogs for the second time today. Both times we were greeted very friendly and served very nicely. The food was delicious and plentiful. I thought the stuffed Florini peppers were so delicious. The ambience can be described as dignified. White tablecloths and fabric napkins give a very good impression. The prices are very reasonable and not exorbitant. Thank you for the friendly hospitality. We'd love to come back.

The ambience was nice, the service took a long time to arrive, fake friendliness. The food was completely overpriced. Seniors' plate, which was only €1 cheaper, only consisted of a very small schnitzel and that for an even proud €13.50. Schnitzel is certainly a ready-made frozen product for a low retail price and heated in the deep fryer. The schnitzels were 1 mm of meat and 4 mm of breadcrumbs and the green sauce was worthless, certainly not homemade, which is what I expected. Unfortunately it was also spoiled, which we noticed the next day with stomach pains, because our guests didn't have the problem without the sauce. The price/performance ratio is not right here at all. We were there in the summer of 22 and the service was unfriendly and the food was 0/8/15. It's a shame about the money, but even more sad is the fact that it was a wonderful occasion that was ruined. Rip off. A pity. Nice location, but never again. Everything is just appearance, as reality. No recommendation.
