The landlord promised us the best fish and chips and we were not disappointed. Absolutely recommendable restaurant with a dedicated host who cares about the satisfaction of his guests.

We were a group of 12 people after a boat tour and wanted a nightcap. As a diabetic, I ordered dry red wine and it was pointed out that some guests complained that it was too warm - I ordered it anyway - without looking at the menu. I drank 3 small sips. WHEN OUR HOST PAYED, the waitress told us that the boss was once an alcoholic and that only non-alcoholic drinks were available. For me as a diabetic, this represents a health risk because the sugar content in non-alcoholic wine is approximately twice as high as in the dry red wine that I ordered. There was time to point out that the wine was too warm, but not that it was non-alcoholic, because that would be too time consuming with around 500 guests a day! Luckily there are many witnesses...

Absolutely chaotic service with hardly any customers, at least 2/3 of the occupied tables had to wait and ask, including us, when the things we ordered would arrive and when we asked, we also received a stroppy answer. Definitely not recommended!

This morning I had breakfast at Café Pfiffig with my partner. We ordered the “smart break for 2 people”! From then on everything just went down the drain. . .I don't even know where to start! ~It started with the fact that we got 2 rolls and 1 croissant for 2 people. In other words, we should share the croissant. ~Only 10 grams of butter for each person. I asked the waiter how many rolls/croissants were included in the breakfast for one person. His annoyed answer was: 1 roll and half a croissant! I already had the coffee! He promised to give something more. Meanwhile, at a neighboring table, we heard that others were waiting for over 40 minutes for their café, but the cake had already been served long ago. The cold cuts and the goat/sheep Mozzarella inedible. The menu should have clearly stated how many rolls etc. were included. The service was totally overwhelmed and pure chaos. You can't sit in the café itself because it's in a shell-finished state. Dirty dishes were the icing on the cake. We weren't the only dissatisfied guests. I absolutely had to speak to the boss or deputy boss. He then made me understand: That there are definitely always 2 rolls, 1 croissant and 3 packets of butter, each 10 grams, for breakfast. He excused himself with a cappuccino on the house. The ambience was the only consolation because it is on the water. We definitely can't recommend it!

I have never visited a restaurant like this in my life. Taking the order was anything but pleasant. They couldn't tell me the names of the fish that were on the menu. The "alcoholic" drinks in the menu are all non-alcoholic, this was stated in small print in the menu. A deceptive trick if you ask me at a price of 7.50 for an Aperol without alcohol. The concept of this restaurant is clear - a tourist trap! Unfortunately, I also unintentionally observed two further inconsistencies between the staff and other guests while I was in this restaurant. Once the brash waiter, who was not friendly, entered a 5% tip into his device for the money transfer without the guest's consent and then argued with the guest. The other time, another couple of guests started clearing the table, even though they were still there have eaten. There was also no receipt and not even napkins at the table. Would give 0 stars if that were possible!

Would give 10 stars if possible. Everything was just right. Rarely have I come across such great gastronomy on holiday. The boss, who actually works in service, put himself in the kitchen especially for my daughter and made her favorite dish, Linguine Carbonara, even though it wasn't on the menu. And it was the best carbonara we have ever eaten. Added to this was the friendliness of every employee. Courteous but not intrusive. Highly recommended visit!

The stars for the restaurant only go to location and service. The food was the worst we have eaten in Germany to date. Dry and tasted strange. Wienersnitzel with a minimum of meat and a lot of air breading. Dry chicken on skewers and soft fries. Hard-fried prawns. And the drinks were out of order: we suspect they were non-alcoholic as the beer was lazy and tasted strange and the wine was sweet and tasted not of wine but bad juice, so the wine glasses were sent back after just one sip.

I recommend. Nice service and they prepare dishes quickly. Average prices.

We were outside at Café Pfiffig last Monday evening. Chaotic service, but what was worse was that the menu only very hiddenly states that they only serve non-alcoholic wine and non-alcoholic beer. Even when I asked what type of "white wine" they offered, I only got the answer "Chardonnay", but not the slightest indication that it was alcohol-free. (Apart from that, this white wine turned out to be a sour impudence, and that too...) Never again Café Pfiffig!!

Searched for fish & chips, found really good fish & chips... even if the portion on the large plate doesn't look like much at first glance, it is completely sufficient and the family was full. Everything is absolutely fresh and perfectly fried including homemade fries and an absolutely excellent dip. With 7 years of experience in England and Scotland, I can confirm that they can easily keep up with the original (even the vinegar dip! if you like it)...plus the staff are in a good mood with a boss who always has a good saying on his lips has. If you haven't had enough, you should treat yourself to some ice cream...it's also worth it. All in all worth every euro!

We received the large drinks without asking. We had dinner and drinks for 59 euros. When the bill came, the waiter said with conviction that that would be 63.90 and I was forced to leave a minimum 10 percent tip when paying with my debit card. Worst restaurant visit ever WARNING tourist trap!! The waiter put €15 in tip on the bill without asking. We got the money back and then he said that we are not welcome back and we NEVER intend to do that.

Location is of course great! But that’s about it for the positive. Better go somewhere else!! We ate ice cream there: my boys ordered two chocolate cups. When it came, there was only chocolate sauce on it, the ice cream scoops were all fruit ice cream. When I asked the waiter, the answer was that they didn't have any chocolate ice cream. “Then why don’t you let us know that there is no chocolate ice cream?” - “the boss wants it that way!” WHAT???? Then the waiter took a deep look into the business philosophy: “It says Aperol on the menu, but there are cheap liquors,” “The cocktails are all non-alcoholic, that’s what it says very small on the menu,” “We know that the Google Reviews are bad, my boss doesn’t care,” “Spanish white wine is cheap booze that always gets complained about. My boss doesn’t care either” etc…. Coffee was served at the neighboring table, half of which was already in the saucer: “It’s so far from the café to the terrace that this happens sometimes”…. Ah no, that's clear. When we visited the toilets inside, the interior ambience matched the store: empty beer crates and everything wasn't tidy. The only thing that was clever here was the €36.80 for 4 sundaes. Of course there was a tip of €0.00. The top location is used here to really make money!!

We were there with 4 adults. The view is really nice, unfortunately that was it. A coffee didn't come at all, only after asking several times. The fried fish roll was unfortunately more of a very crunchy baguette with 2 small pieces of fried fish. The fries we ordered came with mayo in small bags...unfortunately it had already expired for 4 months. We had already squeezed the mayo onto a portion of fries without seeing it. Then we told the waiter, he took away the other mayo (without an apology), and he only took the fries after we insisted. The same portion came back again (we could see it because there was ketchup on the side/from us) and the cellar just said: "That was probably one of the old mayos" and grinned stupidly. Since we had to go to the toilet, we also went indoors...if we had seen it beforehand, there was no way we would have eaten/drinked anything there. Inside it looked like a warehouse, 2 giant refrigerators in the restaurant. At one of the 3 or 4 tables there was a busboy polishing cutlery. The cake buffet at the entrance was dirty and the cakes didn't look tasty anymore. The waiters were very helpless, running back and forth and didn't know where to put the food/drinks. We finally wanted a receipt, but it only came after we asked several times. It turned out that he had deducted €2 more than what was on the bill. He then refunded this to us without complaint. Conclusion: rip-off and absolutely not recommended! Never again!!!

Positive: The friendly and smart service! Negative: Absolutely lousy wine, an Aperol Spritz made with Sanbitter instead of Aperol - tasted like soda. Got salad with wrong dressing and a dingy mess inside the restaurant. The toilet doors were marked 'D' and 'H' in felt-tip pen scrawls. Never ever.

There are only non-alcoholic drinks (wine + beer), which isn't a bad thing if you label it clearly beforehand. The non-alcoholic wine we ordered unintentionally was undrinkable and much too warm. The food went like that, but that's no reason to stop there.

Just unprofessional!!! We sat outside on the terrace, the restaurant was a third full. Our ice cream order wasn't taken until half an hour later, even though waiters walked past our table several times. After another 20 minutes, I politely asked the waiter when our ice cream would arrive, as we had already been sitting here for over 45 minutes. The food was in small portion. The Schnitzel was thin. Some of our orders were forgotten and we had to wait an extra 20 minutes. In total we waited over an hour for our food and no one was full, not even the small child with what was supposed to be a large pizza.

We had ordered some food and wine... the food was lukewarm and not a revelation given the steep price. When asked what kind of wine there was, there was a bit of muttering. The wine was non-alcoholic and not drinkable. All the drinks there are non-alcoholic... this is only marked on the menu with a small asterisk text. An honest word would have been better, then you could have decided on water or something similar.

We spend approx. 94€ (1 pizza, 1 salad, 1 pasta, 2 Aperol, 2 waters, 1 beer and 2 ice creams) they charged us approx 107€. All drinks are alcohol free, which was ok.

Among other things, a strawberry cup - 3 loveless scoops of ice cream in a bed of melted cream, garnished with 2 sliced ​​strawberries. For €8.90. I was hoping for more - my mistake. Ask about the bill. Would come soon. But of course that didn't work either, so I had to ask again. Finally, I don't want to forget the beer: well below the calibration mark, the glass alone belongs in the trash, it's not even a communal shower in the youth hostel that calcified. Conclusion - if there is a lot going on in a restaurant, something can go wrong. But unfortunately nothing worked here. The constant approach from waiters looking for help was also extremely disturbing. Things also went wrong at the surrounding tables. A lady specifically ordered a type of ice cream in her strawberry cup, which also came after half an hour with mixed scoops, complaint, cup was taken away. Then - an unbeatable highlight - the waiter comes back to the table after 5 minutes with the same (now melted) cup and asks what would bother us. The customer had to justify several times that her request was not a problem when ordering. The waiter insisted that "there are always mixed balls here" until he eventually trolled and actually brought a new cup. I find that cheeky. We certainly won't come back, let alone recommend the place.

Be honest, Wiener Schnitzel is food where is no space for kari. If you want to offer Meat and kari,please call it correct and do not use the term "Wiener schnitzel". Mojito lemonade is not tasty.

The family ate a good Caesar salad and a very good pizza. We sat on their outdoor seating along the canal. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. The only downside is that there are only non-alcoholic options.

Unfortunately, after our visit today, I have to say that you should give this restaurant a wide berth. Cola was almost non-carbonated. The fries were way too salty for a small child. For the price it was very little. Which wouldn't be so bad if the quality was right. We had to wait a long time for everything. It's a bad sign if you have to ask the staff if you can order something. After our visit we realized that we had forgotten something there. The staff took it inside and couldn't tell us where it was. Strong piece after ten minutes. Unfortunately, I have to tell the staff that we will not be able to see you again.

Unfortunately disappointing. The matjes itself was good but the sauce with it was extremely mayonnaise-heavy. You can give yourself a chicken skewer for just under €22. 2 small skewers half burnt with a watery cream sauce. Service underground. The waiters are more busy smoking than taking care of the guests. Any attempt to ask for a third cutlery failed. The only nice thing was the view of the water.

The outside area and the menu are very nice, but unfortunately none of the 6 dishes we ordered were worth the money. Everything was extremely over-salted, as a spice mixture with coarse salt, sesame and chili was sprinkled over each dish. As a result, the children found their food too spicy. Positive: there were children's meals, but they are not on the menu (price unknown). But the service was nice and good. We got new fries without chili and the non-carbonated Coke Zero (which had apparently been sitting for days) was replaced with a fresh carbonated one. The interior and the toilet do not leave a good impression. If we had seen this first, we would have gone straight to another restaurant... Unfortunately, the receipt we requested several times never came, so we don't know what we paid for and what was replaced free of charge.

I just ate Pasta Alfredo and Pasta Aglio e Olio with chicken, tasted excellent, very well seasoned, spicy, I can only recommend it, the quantity was good and the prices were 15.90 and 14.90, great for that.

One star is still too many... The service took forever, the wrong drinks were delivered. The breakfast that came had nothing to do with what was on the menu. Stuffy baked rolls, cheap sausage. When I was finished eating, orange juice and champagne finally arrived. We didn't have any drinks for breakfast because there was about 45 minutes between coffee and breakfast delivery. Great location but unfortunately the incompetent staff ruins everything.

Tourist trap to avoid! We waited for an hour for our food. We had ordered 2 simple dishes - 1 pizza Margarita and a buffalo cheese/tomato salad. Twice we asked for our food without anything happening. Then a plate arrived with a sliced ​​tomato and a handful of rocket salad in the middle. No cheese and no bread as the menu otherwise described. The pizza was still waiting and after another 10 min., we again caught a waiter and asked him to cancel our order and bring the bill. During the hour we sat and waited, we experienced pure confusion with the waiters, who mixed up the orders and received complaints from several tables. The waiter who took payment called our food a disaster and wrote off most of the bill, but the damage was done.

I just ate something in it and I'm thrilled! The fish was fresh and perfectly prepared, the ice cream cake was a real treat and the coffee rounded off the experience wonderfully. A big compliment to the team – I’ll definitely be back!

Normally you go to a city and it's best not to eat in the nicest places because there are often overpriced and not particularly good things. Everything is completely different here! Beautiful places on the water, absolutely amazing food with attention to detail and absolutely fair prices, all the staff are incredibly nice. Highly Recommended!! I'm here on a business trip for three days, I'll eat there again tomorrow or Wednesday!

We were the only guests the whole evening. The waiter served me the “daily recommendation” without clearly telling me the price beforehand. It didn't taste good at all. The steak, or "beef fillet", was really bone dry. I could barely swallow a bite because the meat was so tough. The "cheese sauce" was a tasteless, jelly-like lump that I couldn't get on the spoon because there was so much starch or thickener in it. I left half of the food because it was inedible. In the end the surprise: almost €26 for this catastrophe. Thanks for nothing.

Let's start with the main course. I ordered a Wiener Schnitzel, and what arrived resembled more of a plate of dried leftovers than a satisfying meal. Each bite felt like attempting to swallow a mouthful of sawdust. The schnitzel were so devoid of moisture that I found myself reaching for "beer" after every bite just to wash it down. To add insult to injury, I decided to pair my meal with a refreshing beverage, or so I thought. Little did I know that the "alcoholic-free" beer would redefine my understanding of disappointment. It tasted as if someone had taken a perfectly good beer, stripped it of all its flavor, and replaced it with a concoction resembling water infused with bitterness. It was not just a letdown; it was an assault on my taste buds. Overall, my experience at this establishment was nothing short of a culinary catastrophe. The dryness of the food coupled with the abysmal excuse for a beverage left me questioning why I even bothered to step foot in their outdoor seating. Unless you have an insatiable craving for Sahara-style cuisine and bland beverages, I'd recommend giving this place a wide berth. Your taste buds will thank you.

Small portions, expensive and the beer tasted bad. A dry shoe sole for schnitzel that was 2mm thick at its height. It turned out that the beer was non-alcoholic. Nothing that was mentioned when we ordered. Took a long time to get service.
