I went there for dinner and the way the guests and staff treated each other left a lot to be desired. The food used to be much better, but since the Dutchman took over, it's better to give the place a wide berth.

The beer garden/terrace with playground is great, but we weren't entirely convinced by the food and cake.

Beautiful, clean, newly renovated room. Large, sumptuous breakfast buffet with everything your heart desires. The food was delicious. Very nice, friendly, and helpful staff.

Hello everyone, We were a registered group of 12 people and were given a large table in the winter garden, which was already waiting for us. We received very courteous and prompt service, the food arrived almost simultaneously for everyone and was very good. The portions are generous, and we're asked in advance what kind of meat we'd like, as well as what sauce we'd like for our fries. We hadn't expected much from the chef's fish platter, but it was still very good. Overall, it was very nice; we'll be back.

We've been to Mühlenglück several times and have been completely satisfied every time. Everyone goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable. I can only praise the new tenant and his team.

Only tried the restaurant: steak was really good, schnitzel was really good. Fries were as hard as rocks. Service was grumpy.

A charming place in the Black Forest. The atmosphere is ideal and peaceful. Silence, peace. The service is exquisite. The drinks are reasonably priced. The cakes, although we didn't order them, looked delicious. A highly recommended stop.

We had a wonderful stay! A lovely, spacious room, so clean you rarely see them. The breakfast is excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There's a relaxed atmosphere, even among the guests. A nice playground in the large backyard of the hotel, where my children loved to play after breakfast or dinner. A great location, centrally located for many fun excursions in the area. Dogs are also more than welcome, as in many places in the area. Ample private parking is available. We will definitely come back here with the kids to discover even more beautiful hiking trails. Highly recommended!

We have been having lunch at the restaurant, the food was all delicious, from the salads to the tartes flambées. The waitress who served us was also a very very nice and attentive girl, a 10/10.

As a local, we've known about Mühlenglück for a long time; now, with the new tenant, we've been eating there. It was always good in the past. The biggest negative surprise was that there was NO German-speaking service staff there. This also led to a negative surprise afterward with the meal – I wanted a mixed salad with chicken breast strips. Due to communication problems, I ended up getting a Caesar salad with a few chicken strips and only green romaine lettuce – and that for €16.50. I've never experienced anything like that in our area, where no one spoke German when ordering. I specifically asked the waitress or mentioned whether they had a mixed salad with chicken strips – but ultimately, the waitress spoke almost no German. It's certainly difficult to find service staff in the restaurant industry. But all other restaurants have German-speaking staff, too. So there must be a reason for this. After all, you don't just rely on international guests here, but still largely on local customers. And you don't have guests like you would on a cruise ship!

The pancake dessert was poorly presented and overpriced. Ordered a vegan falafel burger with non-vegan sauce?! Schnitzel without sauce?! Oh well...^^

Beautiful location, ideal for children. Playground for both small and older children, plus a sandbox with toys. There's also an indoor play area. Breakfast is excellent, fresh and with a wide selection. The hotel and room are very hygienic. The hotel room is spacious, which is great with a child who has plenty of space. The coffee is delicious, and there's also cake for sale. The owner is friendly and comes over for a chat. There's also plenty to do in the surrounding area, weather permitting. We were pleasantly surprised and will definitely be back.

On the B28, but you can't hear it. Large parking lot. On the other side, a mountain, a small river that you can faintly hear, a railway line where a train passes and honks its horn once an hour, a ventilation system that you can faintly hear in room 12 until 10 p.m., large lawns, quiet, a great bathroom, daily towel change, a walk-in shower—almost perfect. Three small bottles of sparkling water in the room every day are great. A central refrigerator for the fruit we bought across the street. Balcony with three chairs and a view, children's pool, and playground.

I'm reporting on my two-night stay, including breakfast and dinner: The rooms are clean, bright, and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very good and very tasty, with homemade jam and local strawberries. The service was very attentive. The dinner I ordered was delivered quickly. It was very well prepared and very tasty. The service was also very quick and attentive. The hotel is beautifully located, from where you can take lovely excursions, such as to Zuflucht, Durbach, etc. There's a supermarket across the street where you can stock up for your trip. I highly recommend this hotel!

We were in the restaurant, not the hotel. The beer garden is beautiful, and the playground is ideal if you're there with children. Unfortunately, the service didn't seem particularly well-coordinated; we waited a long time for food and drinks and sometimes preferred to order inside rather than wait. The food is sometimes extremely small for the prices, and the quality is just acceptable. (Some of the food was rather lukewarm, others quite burnt - but the fries and other dishes for the kids were fine ;))

My husband and I had lunch on the terrace of the Mühlenglück restaurant today to celebrate a personal occasion. The service was professional and very friendly. The food was perfect and delicious, and the ambiance is unbeatable. We would love to return.

We only went to the restaurant for dinner, and it was absolutely delicious. The taste and quantity were simply excellent. Even the fries were divine, and the meat was simply well prepared. Even the side salad was really good. Absolutely excellent value for money. 😋 The coffee afterward ☕️ was also delicious. You can also just come here for breakfast; the buffet looked really great. The whole atmosphere is simply fantastic, with a beer garden, two electric charging stations, and dedicated parking for motorcycles. The restrooms are clean. This won't be the last time we'll be here 🤗 Café & Restaurant Mühlenglück is a good address. The hotel rooms are probably top-notch too.

Excellent homemade cakes, one small drawback is that they are a little expensive.

The room was very nice and new, but very noisy and there were hardly any hooks to hang anything up. The bathroom floor was very cold and not warm either. The staff were very nice and accommodating, but I was a bit disappointed as no one was there on arrival or departure. We were given a bill and had to be paid. It was my birthday on the day of arrival and I didn't get anything. The burger was very tasty. Breakfast was good and varied, but it was always the same rolls with sesame or poppy seeds and nothing else. More choice would have been nice. In summary, it was very nice and we will be back.

We stayed overnight; the room was very nice and clean. The dinner was delicious, and the breakfast buffet was extensive. The service was friendly; we would be happy to come back.

We stayed at the Mühlenglück accommodation from May 23rd to May 25th, 2025. The breakfast was incredibly delicious and had a fantastic selection. So, if you're complaining, you're looking for something to complain about. We also had dinner there on May 24th, 2025, and it was also incredibly delicious (which is why my dessert was Belgian fries with a Hungarian-style paprika cream sauce). The service was very friendly and accommodating, as it should be. Considering the owner has only been there for three weeks, we really enjoyed the whole experience. Really nice hotel we stayed here for 3 nights to use as a base for exploring the Black Forest and cruising the lovely twisty roads fantastic experiance with great views highly recommend.

We had coffee and a piece of cake. The view there is great and there are plenty of tables to sit at. There is also a playground and free parking spaces. I can't say anything about the rooms or the lunch/dinner. I think it's expensive.

A great location for family celebrations

We had 2 rooms with breakfast and came with our dog over Easter: - 1x double room - 1X barrier-free double room The cozy and extremely clean hotel is in a great location at the entrance/exit of town. It's right on a major road, but that doesn't matter. This means it's not "too lonely" - on the contrary. It's quiet but there's still "something going on". You can see greenery everywhere. Hiking and walking right from the front door, very close to the Schwarzwaldhochstrasse and just a few minutes to the town center. There is a supermarket and a farm shop right in front of the door. To highlight positively: - Cleanliness 1A - Location - very nice service team (especially Mr. Lührmann and his team took great care of everything - thank you very much) - great and very tasty breakfast buffet (especially on Sundays and public holidays) - Coffee specialties and egg varieties included - cozy atmosphere in the hotel, everything is bright and friendly - Dog and child friendly - Great beer garden with a beautiful, large playground; Also a great place to go for bikers We'd love to come back ♡ Just to note: - a small refrigerator in the room would be helpful - Train tracks behind the hotel (trains pass through more often); separated from meadow by a small river

We were, were, disappointed with the breakfast. Unfortunately there were only two or three other overnight guests on site. Therefore, a lot of savings were made on the breakfast buffet. For example, there was a basket with two different types of mini rolls (not a normal roll size), no bread or pretzels or sweet pastries. Two types of yogurt / one type of cheese (sliced ​​cheese) and cold cuts of ham with Lyonnais and salami. The room was also so small and uncomfortable - the curtain, which was attached with Velcro, hung down. The power cables were pointing out of the lamp above the bed. The glasses on the table were dirty (fingerprints/stains) and the toothbrush glasses in the bathroom were also dirty. There were soap streaks on the floor in the shower (from cleaning? Or from the previous person?) Unfortunately, we didn't feel comfortable because of the things mentioned above. It's a shame that these great pictures gave a completely wrong impression that didn't do justice to the price with breakfast. The location was ideal, just very loud on the street, but that wasn't a problem. Parking spaces were plentiful.

We wanted to visit the cafe on a Saturday and drove to the place after finding out about the opening times online. We then stood in front of the entrance door and found a succinct sign with the information "closed society" Why can't such information be published on the website in a timely manner? The appointment was certainly not planned at short notice on that day. Driven many kilometers in vain.

A very nice modern hotel in a quiet location. Our room had a great view of the mountains and, when the window was open, we could hear the sound of the stream. The welcome at reception was very warm. The hotel is perfect for families with children. There is a small play area in the restaurant area and there is a great playground in front of/next to the hotel.

Really great hotel, with friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are very large, clean, very well equipped and modernly furnished. The bathroom is also spacious, beautiful and above all very clean. There is a great hairdryer. The mattresses slip apart a bit at night. The staff is accommodating and very polite. The food is really great, and the selection of cakes is also great. We really enjoyed staying here and will definitely come back. Breakfast is highly recommended, especially on Sundays 😀. Gluten-free rolls are also available (please register in advance).

Food: very tasty, great menu Breakfast: more extensive on Sundays due to the gourmet breakfast, but everything is available on other days as well, and egg specialties are freshly prepared upon request.

We recently had lunch at Mühlenglück. Everything freshly cooked, great quality. The special burger from the daily menu was particularly outstanding, but everything else was also very tasty. The very friendly cook even came to the table to make sure everything was OK. Nice little card. Only recommended.

Food was okay, but the burgers were too dry. Service leaves a lot to be desired. Tables not cleaned, cutlery forgotten, no asking what the food was like or whether drinks could be brought because it was empty.

The room was clean but with some damage. Regarding service, I would not recommend the hotel. The kitchen simply shuts down early even though there was something else there. The problem here was that we no longer had dinner. If we had communicated beforehand that the kitchen would close earlier, we could have followed suit. The service staff very often delivered the drinks incorrectly, wrote them down incorrectly and in some cases billed them incorrectly (drinks that were ordered were not on the bill, but others were) The most problematic thing was that there was a lot of confusion about the price. The hotel also charges children under 6 as 6 year olds on the grounds that you have to put in an extra bed anyway and that the employee did it. Instead of letting the customer decide whether they even want an extra bed or whether they don't let the child sleep in the parents' bed. After complaining and paying at the hotel, we were assured that the overpaid money would be refunded. This was a lie because an email came some time later stating that no refund would be made. After some back and forth via email, the hotel insists that they won't pay. very unprofessional if you guarantee this beforehand. Our conclusion: we wouldn't come again for a few reasons: Service overwhelmed Kitchen too early -> go to bed without dinner Unprofessional treatment of customers -> there was always an undertone that we stupid customers are just unlucky....

We were on the way home and were hungry in the afternoon. Good food, friendly staff. The goulash (dish of the day) was first class! The parking lot can even be easily accessed with a caravan. Thanks for the hospitality!

We spontaneously came here today to eat after hiking. We were greeted very friendly by the two young men. You immediately felt comfortable. The cake there is really delicious. Later we ate a sausage salad and a large salad plate. Both were prepared very lovingly, the portions were perfect! We have rarely eaten so well. The menu is clear, there is something for everyone. The ambience is very nice. A cafe decorated with love. We'll definitely be back!!

Great new hotel & restaurant. Large, beautiful outdoor area. Hotel rooms also good, like new. However, thin walls-neighbors are heard talking.. I found the food in the hotel restaurant very good. Breakfast as well. However, dishes were never put away during our time here, i.e. many tables were occupied with old dishes. You had to push it aside yourself etc if you wanted the space.. I had never seen that in any hotel before^^ Trains pass by every now and then and keep blowing their whistles; So if the window is open it could disturb/wake you up^^ Edit: 2 years later. Dishes are now being put away ;) Nice, attentive employees who occasionally ask if everything is okay etc. 👍🏻 Not the last time here :)

A surprise of accommodation. We made a last minute change in our trip through the black forest and it was a complete success. Modern and very spacious room, excellent cleanliness, very nice staff, specifically the girl at breakfast who was lovely and super efficient. Excellent breakfast with gluten-free products and plenty of variety, high quality. A shame that it coincided with his day off and he didn't have dinner there. For children they have a huge garden with a zip line and a park. Highly recommended!

Ich habe mehrere Monate in diesem Restaurant/Hotel verbracht und war durchweg beeindruckt. Die Zimmer sind komfortabel und bieten eine angenehme Unterkunft. Egal, ob ich von der Wochenkarte oder dem regulären Menü bestellte, die Gerichte waren stets köstlich und haben meine Erwartungen übertroffen. Das Personal zeichnet sich durch ihre Freundlichkeit aus und war immer offen für Smalltalks, was zu einer besonders angenehmen Atmosphäre beigetragen hat. Es ist spürbar, dass ihre Gastfreundschaft aufrichtig ist und nicht nur Teil ihres Jobs. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die Burger, die ich uneingeschränkt empfehlen kann, selbst der vegane Burger hat mich als Nicht-Veganer positiv überrascht. Die gesamte Erfahrung auf diesem Platz ist geprägt von authentischer Gastfreundschaft, und es herrscht eine reine Wohlfühlatmosphäre. Ich kann diesen Ort ohne Vorbehalte empfehlen und freue mich darauf, wiederzukommen. Big Up, macht weiter so!

Ich fand das Café top. Ich habe da den besten Flammkuchen gegessen. Auch der Kaffee und Kuchen waren sehr lecker. Der Service war total nett und das ganze Ambiente sehr angenehm. Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert.

Wir waren gleich zwei mal am gleichen Tag hier zum Essen bzw Kaffee und Kuchen essen. Die Kuchenauswahl war gut. Raffaello Torte und veganer ApfelMarzipankuchen waren hervorragend. Sehr modern eingerichtet und freundliches aufmerksames Personal. Wir waren in Durbach auf einem Event und sind dann auf dem Rückweg noch zum Abendessen dort eingekehrt. Aufgrund des großen Angebots an Veganen/Vegetarischen Gerichten. Da wurden wir nicht enttäuscht. Kann man nur weiter empfehlen.

Schönes Café mit leckeren Kuchen und ausreichend Sitzmöglichkeiten. Auch gab es ausreichend Parkmöglichkeiten vor dem Lokal. Für die Kinder gibt es draußen einen großen Spielplatz, der auch sehr gerne angenommen wird. Wir waren auf der Durchreise und haben hier leckeren Kuchen gegessen. Über die Zimmer und die normalen Gerichte können wir nichts sagen.

Wir hatten nicht reserviert, aber hatten Glück da ein Tisch gerade frei wurde. Die Bedienung hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen und den Tisch sehr schnell abgeräumt und gesäubert. Auch die Bestellung kam sehr schnell an, war zwar nur Kaffee und Kuchen, aber auch dafür hat man woanders schon lange warten müssen. Der Spielplatz auf dem Gelände ist auch super schön und im Sommer wirklich einsame Spitze für die Kinder . Wir werden bald einmal Mittagessen bzw Abendessen zum Abholen bestellen und sind schon gespannt auf die feinen Gerichte.

Wir kommen regelmäßig mit unsere ganzen Familie ins Mühlenglück und lassen es uns dort mal für mal gut gehen! 😊 Das Essen ist wirklich sehr lecker, besonders die Frische des Essens finden wir jedes Mal super. Man wird sehr schnell und freundlich bedient und auch unser Hund bekommt immer gleich frisches Wasser und ist sehr willkommen. 😀 Besonders als Familie schätzen wir es hier sehr, da alles sehr auf Kinder jeden Alters ausgelegt ist - innen eine kleine Spielecke und draußen ein wirklich wunderschöner, großer Spielplatz den man hier in der Region sonst nirgendwo findet. Für uns als Familie einfach toll!!! ♥️

Op terugweg van Europapark naar Bad Peterstal hier gegeten. Heerlijk gegeten en voldoende ruimte, we mochten onze zitplaats uitzoeken. Een ruime parkeerplaats voor de deur. Niet de traditionele Zwarte Woud aankleding, gewoon modern. Schoon en netjes. Vriendelijke en hulpvaardige bediening ( dit is wel Zwarte Woud eigen). Kortweg een mooie locatie en een aanrader.

Heute Abend war ich gesellig mit einer Freundin was essen und trinken , perfekt für einen lockeren Abend mit Freunden. Das Essen war sehr gut , Vor allem die Vielfalt an Flammenkuchen laden zum wiederkommen ein ! Die Burger gibt es hier sogar in Vegan und Lowcarb - besonders für diese Gegend ! Die Bedingungen waren nett und freundlich! Bis zum nächsten mal

Wir waren schon öfter zum frühstücken dort Sonntags wie Samstag . Leider waren wir diese mal nicht mehr zufrieden.. Samstag morgen frühstücken und es gab nicht mal Nutella als Aufstrich. Sorry für 15 Euro p.p sollte wenigstens das vorhanden sein. Mann könnte auch vielleicht Buttercrossaint noch anbieten nur so als Empfehlung .

Ich war nur in der Raststätte mit einer wunderschönen Musikveranstaltungen, daher kann ich zu den Zimmern nichts sagen. Aber der Service war super und auch das Essen ein wahrer Genuss 😋☺️ Jederzeit wieder ‼️👍

Waren zum Feiertagsbrunch dort. Hatten für 22€ etwas anderes erwartet. Sehr kleines Buffet mit wenig Auswahl. Keine Bedienung die die Bestellung der Warmgetränke aufgenommen hat.

Wir mussten eine geschlagene Stunde auf unser Essen warten. Die Bedienungen waren sehr "beschäftigt" und wir hatten Schwierigkeiten ihre Aufmerksamkeit zu bekommen.

Wie haben uns auch wg. der vielen positiven Rezensionen so auf das Restaurant und die Burger gefreut. Das Restaurant ist wirklich sehr geräumig und nett, modern und ansprechend eingerichtet. Die Burger waren allerdings nichts besonderes, die Brötchen sehr weich und pappig und der Burger selbst ziemlich fest und nicht saftig. Die Portionen war dafür reichlich groß, was es aber in dem Fall nicht besser machte. Die Süßkartoffel-Pommes waren ok, etwas überwürzt. Insgesamt für die gebotene Geschmacksleistung viel zu teuer, einfacher Burger ohne Beilage für knapp 12€ !

Waren heute beim Essen zu viert. War sehr lecker und die Portionen waren groß. Preislich ebenfalls angemessen. Gerne wieder.

Wir waren nach dem wandern hier eingekehrt und genossen mega leckere Burger. Das Personal ist flott , freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Die Location hat nen schönen Biergarten mit Ausblick ins Grüne. Ein großer Parkplatz, ebenfalls für Fahrräder sowie eine E-Bike Ladestation ist vorhanden. Sehr erfreulich finde ich. Werde auf jeden Fall noch öfter hier her kommen.

Hotel und Zimmer war schön. Frühstück hatte alles was man braucht. Als Verbesserungsvorschlag wären Mückengitter an den Fenstern. Ansonsten sehr schön.

Das Restaurant war sehr nett mit bayrischer Deko geschmückt und die Speisekarte enthielt leckere bayrische Gerichte wie würzigen Obazda, feinen Krautsalat, leckere Fleischpflanzerl, Leberkäs, Krustenschweinebraten, Brauhausgulasch usw.. Sogar veganes Wurstgulasch wurde angeboten. Das Personal war wie immer sehr freundlich und aufmerksam und hatte sich extra in Dirndl und Lederhosen gekleidet. Die bayrische Hintergrundmusik war dezent und stimmig. Wir haben uns dort sehr gerne verwöhnen lassen und das bayrische Ambiente sehr genossen. Macht weiter so!

Sehr schönes Restaurant und Hotel. Vorbildlicher Service, saubere Zimmer und tolles Ambiente im Restaurant. Besonders die hausgemachten Spätzle und die Kuchenauswahl sind ein Besuch wert. Gerne wieder.

Ein Top Restaurant. Als Vegetarier hat man im Renchtal meist keine große Auswahl. Da ist das Mühlenglück wirklich ein Paradies. Die Köchin experimentiert gerne mit neuen Fleischersatzprodukten oder neuen vegetarischen Gerichten. Wir kommen mindestens einmal im Monat hier her und waren nie enttäuscht.
