Café Eisbar in Mülheim an der Ruhr

Wir waren heute hier und waren leider sehr enttäuscht. Noch bevor wir unser Eis bekommen haben, mussten wir die Bestellung komplett im Voraus bezahlen. Das wurde mit einer Hausregel begründet. Für uns wirkt das sehr unfreundlich und vermittelt den Eindruck, dass den Gästen grundsätzlich misstraut wird. Ein Restaurant oder Eiscafé sollte seine Gäste willkommen heißen und nicht das Gefühl geben, sich erst beweisen zu müssen. Diese Vorgehensweise hat unseren Besuch von Anfang an getrübt. Schade, denn so fühlt man sich als Gast einfach nicht wertgeschätzt. Aus diesem Grund können wir das Eiscafé leider nicht weiterempfehlen.

Ein derart unprofessionelles Kundenerlebnis habe ich selten erlebt. Noch bevor das Eis überhaupt zubereitet oder serviert wurde, wurde ich aufgefordert, sofort zu bezahlen. Auf meine Nachfrage hin erklärte der Mitarbeiter allen Ernstes, dass dies notwendig sei, weil Kunden sonst einfach weglaufen würden. Eine solche Aussage ist nicht nur unangebracht, sondern vermittelt jedem Gast das Gefühl, unter Generalverdacht zu stehen. Anstatt Vertrauen aufzubauen, begegnet man zahlenden Kunden mit Misstrauen. Das ist weder serviceorientiert noch zeitgemäß. Wer seine Gäste von Anfang an wie potenzielle Betrüger behandelt, sollte sein Verständnis von Kundenservice dringend überdenken. Für mich war das ein äußerst enttäuschender Besuch ich werde dieses Eiscafé nicht noch einmal besuchen und kann es auch nicht weiterempfehlen.

Sehr lecker! Es hat uns so gut geschmeckt, dass wir uns innerhalb einer Minute noch eine Portion geholt haben! Auch der Service war freundlich und die Bedienung sehr geduldig.

Ich bin sehr enttäuscht von unserem heutigen Besuch. Meine 8-jährige Tochter musste dringend auf die Toilette und hat höflich gefragt, ob sie diese benutzen darf. Statt ihr in dieser offensichtlichen Notsituation zu helfen, wurde von ihr 1 € verlangt. Mir ist bewusst, dass Betriebe Regeln für die Toilettennutzung aufstellen können. Dennoch finde ich es sehr traurig und wenig kinderfreundlich, in einer solchen Situation keine Ausnahme für ein kleines Kind zu machen. Etwas mehr Menschlichkeit und Verständnis hätte ich mir sehr gewünscht.

Ich war vor Kurzem mit meinem kleinen Sohn hier das Eis war sehr lecker und sah auch optisch toll aus. Mein Sohn hat lange überlegt, welche Sorte er haben möchte, doch der junge Kellner blieb dabei die ganze Zeit über geduldig und freundlich. Diese Aufmerksamkeit und Ruhe im Umgang mit Kindern weiß ich wirklich zu schätzen. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

Während unserer Radtouren mehrmals hier gewesen. Nettes Personal, gute Auswahl, leckeres Eis, schöne Aussicht.

Alles ist super, nur muss man direkt nach der Bestellung bezahlen und ziemlich lange warten. Ansonsten ist alles in Ordnung.

Einfach nur wow! Tolle Aussicht, super leckeres Eis und ein unglaublich herzlicher Service. Alle waren so lieb und hilfsbereit, dass man sich direkt wohlgefühlt hat. Wir haben mehrere Sorten probiert und jede hat uns positiv überrascht. Alles war sauber, lecker und mit viel Liebe gemacht. Wir kommen gerne wieder! 🍦❤️✨

Wir haben Orangensaft bestellt, aber es hat geschmeckt, als ob nur Zucker hineingepresst wurde. Trotz meiner Beschwerde beim Kellner gab es weder eine Entschuldigung noch irgendeine Form von Wiedergutmachung. Sehr enttäuschend.

Ich hätte ihnen 10 Sterne gegeben, wenn ich gekonnt hätte. Sehr freundliches Personal, das sich alle Mühe gibt, die Wünsche der Kunden zu erfüllen. Hervorragender Kaffee, erstklassiges Eis, die Rocher-Tasse ist ein absolutes Muss.

Ganz toll gelegenes Eiscafé mit herrlichem Blick auf die Ruhr und Stadthalle. Die Eisportionen sind sehr ansprechend und sehr guter Qualität. Überraschend war lediglich der Umstand, dass beim Bestellen bereits kassiert wurde. Dank der höflichen Erklärung zum Thema fehlende Kräfte, war dieser Umstand einleuchtend. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist ist passend.

Wir haben spontan ein Kaffee gesucht und sind in der Eisbar gelandet. Der Apfelstrudel ist einfach super und die Bedienung mehr als freundlich. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

Die EisBar überzeugt jeden besonders die Atmosphäre dort, man fühlt sich direkt wohler wegen dem Freundlichen Service Besonders Nathir sorgt mit seiner höflichen, aufmerksamen Art dafür, dass man sich sofort wohlfühlt. Das ist der schönste Ort meiner Meinung nach für gutes Eis und entspannte Momente.

Also ich war heute hier Eis essen und hab einen Kaffee getrunken. Ein Cappuccino mit Sahne. Das war sehr lecker. Die Preise bezahlt man hier mit der guten Aussicht und besonders hab ich den Kellner Alex in Erinnerung, der strahlend und gastfreundlich uns bedient hat und auf jegliche Wünsche eingegangen ist

Ich war vor ein paar Tagen dort und kann die vorherigen Bewertungen überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen. Das Personal war super freundlich und das Eis cremig und lecker. Der Kellner mit den schwarzen Haaren war sehr verständnisvoll, da wir kein Deutsch sprechen, und half uns bei der Auswahl der Speisekarte und erklärte uns alles ausführlich. Insgesamt ein tolles Erlebnis, ich komme jederzeit wieder!

Wir haben uns hier zum ersten Mal hingesetzt und sind leider sehr enttäuscht. Die Bedienung war unfreundlich und die Preise sind für die Qualität zu hoch. In unserer Gruppe waren Gäste aus dem Ausland, die kein Deutsch sprechen und leider wurde keinerlei Verständnis gezeigt, dass wir etwas mehr Zeit zum Übersetzen brauchten. Die Lage ist zwar schön, aber wir kommen nicht wieder.

The view and location of the ice cream parlor are very good. Everything else is subpar. My hazelnut sundae was spoiled, the nuts rancid and bitter. This led to a lengthy discussion with the waiter, as no customer would have complained otherwise. The strawberry sundae was initially missing strawberries. Unbelievable, actually :-) The waiter was unfriendly and charged upfront. Honestly, I'd rather buy ice cream at Netto than be treated like this here.

Disgusting. I tried a spoonful and it went straight into the trash. The ice cream tasted old, bitter, and simply disgusting. I've never experienced anything like it.

Some ice cream flavors taste delicious like mango and hazelnut but some taste as if they have been thawed and then cooled again, unfortunately I couldn't finish it and many flavors were no longer available after 8:15 pm

NEVER AGAIN! We went to the ice cream parlor today, a lovely place. Unfortunately, the ice cream (2 spaghetti and strawberry ice creams) was inedible; the vanilla flavor was inedible, and the strawberries tasted stale and rotten. After the first spoonful, I immediately went to the store. Unfortunately, there was no refund, meaning €20 was thrown away.

Very poor service. For such a price, this ice cream is of very poor quality. The ice cream was inedible. The worst ice cream parlor I've ever been to. Conclusion: I wouldn't recommend this very poor ice cream to anyone.

This is a disaster. They take the money before serving the ice cream, which I understand given the quality. The ice cream is terrible; it turns into a milkshake in minutes. I will never go there again, and I advise everyone against it. It is literally a disaster.

Ice cream, etc., was okay...but taking the cash while you order and then watering flowers while people are sitting there, in a way that's disruptive, is completely unacceptable. Requests aren't fulfilled either. Aside from the location, nothing was nice here...there was no friendliness. So, no tipping, and no seeing you again...

Very nice location. We had to pay immediately after ordering, even before the order arrived. The ice cream quality (spaghetti ice cream) was mediocre, and instead of cloudy apple spritzer, they only had clear...

It was a disaster: The money was collected in advance, before the ice and drinks were even served. Unfortunately, I went along with it – partly because my 90-year-old mother was with me along with four other people. I've never experienced anything like this in any bar or restaurant in Europe. According to the waiter, this was a decision made by the manager. The quality of the drinks was average at best. Drinks I had already ordered were suddenly unavailable.

Contrary to the previous negative reviews, we had a very positive experience. The ice cream was amazing, super tasty. The customer service was excellent. And the view was truly amazing. We'd love to come back 💪

We visited the ice cream parlor on Thursday, June 12th. Unfortunately, the experience was unpleasant. I politely asked if it would be possible to charge my e-bike battery for a short while. The staff first threatened me, saying we didn't have a power outlet, and then refused in an unfriendly tone. We were on a bike tour along the Ruhr River. We are 77 years old and have only encountered support staff at other locations. We had to pay €11 for two drinks. We had expected a more helpful and friendly attitude for a paying customer. In short, a very unpleasant experience.

We had to pay immediately before our order arrived. Several other guests were also very surprised and dissatisfied with the lackluster service. Anyone who buys ice cream at the counter isn't allowed to sit outside. As a Mülheim native, I'd rather go to a competitor than come here again. I'm sorry...

Simply awful! They immediately charged me and then brought me the wrong item. No sign of the waiter, and when they did, they were unfriendly. Absolutely not recommended.

Great atmosphere, unfriendly staff, no card payments

The location is top-notch, the service terrible. There were no waffles, and the cake I ordered and had to pay for immediately wasn't there either. So I had to pick something for the third time. Even though I asked twice that I wanted a latte, I got a latte macchiato. The waitress was so unfriendly that I wished I hadn't tipped. I did anyway and regretted it; she didn't even say thank you. We sat there for two hours, and I would have liked another drink, but after the first service, we were out of breath. Never again.

It's all ok. The ice cream was tasty, the order was taken quickly and the ice cream came quickly. The location is great. The payment was made when the order was placed, not when the ice cream sundaes were brought (which would have been ok if you didn't want to come to pay again). And the card reader seems to have been broken for a long time 😉. One point deducted for both of these.

The service was really disappointing! We placed our order, paid immediately and waited for over an hour - but our food never arrived. What was even worse was that people who came after us got their orders before us. There was no organization or respect for order. Very bad experience, we definitely won't order again.

After ordering, the waitress wanted to collect directly. So far okay. It was only then that she informed us that payment could only be made in cash. There are no signs indicating this. When we asked about a nearby ATM, the waitress just shrugged and typed on her tablet with the comments “delete”, “delete”, “delete”. We preferred to go somewhere else.

I am very disappointed with this cafe. I had ordered a coffee and already paid for it, but even after an hour and a reminder the coffee was not brought to me. Unfortunately the service was very inattentive. I will not visit this cafe again nor can I recommend it.

Incredibly unfriendly service, asking people to pay beforehand and also barely being able to describe the items on top of this the service lady threw the items on the table and ran away. Not to mention the items we ordered from the card didn’t at all resemble anything that was put before us, the joghurt was much less a joghurt and more an ice cream with 1 tea spoon of some cheap joghurt i could buy at Lidl and some random ice cream. Overall the place and the service is a true shame, so much so that I felt much obliged to write this review.

I am very surprised at the negative reviews here. We were there for the first time today. You can sit wonderfully and have a perfect view. We just sat down and were immediately greeted in a friendly manner and served, but had to pay directly, which didn't bother us. The ice cream came very quickly and was delicious. We'll be back.

Once and never again 🤷🏻‍♂️ You sit down and you immediately cash in. Nobody far and wide. Where should you go then? We actually wanted to linger a little longer and eat more, but when the bill comes after the first drink, it's like being thrown out. So they actually scared away even the last guests. I felt a little sorry for the waitress because she got the frustration. It's her boss's fault... Either way, a no go location that I won't visit again.

Today we wanted to redeem our voucher that we were given as a gift. The voucher was purchased just under 6 months ago. When ordering, the waiter told us, referring to the date of purchase, that they would only accept the voucher in question this time as a gesture of goodwill. We couldn't understand this and questioned this statement. We also pointed out to him the statutory 3 year period and that the voucher does not indicate a validity period. He replied incomprehensibly and unkindly that otherwise it would be two years. Unfortunately, this action and the statements seemed completely contradictory to us and therefore dubious. The ice cream itself tasted ok, but unfortunately the fruits were all sour. This is very annoying when it comes to ice cream with a large variety of fruits. We found the prices for drinks to be quite high. Conclusion: Although we used our voucher for two ice creams and two drinks worth €27.50, we will definitely not visit the ice cream parlor again despite the beautiful location.

The view and location are fantastic, but that’s about it. Unfortunately I have to agree with the other reviews here. The ice cream and milkshake were okay, nothing more. Little taste. The service was really unfriendly, you can't actually call the whole thing 'service'. No hello, then the order took what felt like forever. Unfortunately I don't recommend it.
