I've never eaten such a bad burger for 16 euros. Two patties tasted absolutely awful. Frozen food, I don't even want to know what I ate. I eventually found the arugula, too. The owner should be ashamed of himself for selling stuff like that! The service was excellent; he took my criticism extremely well and did a really good job. The atmosphere is nice. The men's restroom is just like the burger. Definitely the last time!

I went there again with my family for a schnitzel holiday after a long time - and it was absolutely worth it! The food was very tasty and we were able to order again and again. For the price of €18.90 you really can't complain. Everything was perfect – the service was also friendly and accommodating. We would definitely like to come back!

A very popular café in Mönchengladbach. The waitresses here are all very nice and friendly. We just drank coffee and ate something. The coffee, i.e. the cappuccino, was very small for the price. But overall everything was fine.

Overall a relaxed atmosphere, friendly, attentive staff, unfortunately understaffed so everything was a bit chaotic. The food is average, but I wouldn't expect more from a place like this, so it's good. With 2-3 more waiters, things would run much better and more attention could be paid to the toilets, refilling soap, and cleanliness. For a relaxed evening with friends where the most important thing is a social get-together in a relaxed atmosphere is definitely recommended 🙂

Schnitzel all you can eat at an unbeatable price. Nice service, the food came quickly and tasted good.

My wife and I recently had dinner at this restaurant. First of all, I have to say: We were pleasantly surprised by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. You are really warmly welcomed here and feel like you are in good hands, which is unfortunately no longer a given these days. The parking situation was pleasantly uncomplicated, we found a space straight away, which is really helpful for us as older people. The atmosphere in the restaurant was also cozy and clean, you can tell that effort is being made here. However, and this should not be overlooked, the prices have now become quite high. Of course, this is now the case in many places, but if you pay more, you expect corresponding quality and, above all, a reasonable waiting time. Unfortunately we had to wait a relatively long time for our food; we had ordered schnitzel and ribs. After a while my wife became restless and our extremely friendly waitress asked the shift manager, a lady named Schalin, to come to our table. And what can I say: This young woman did her job brilliantly. She personally took time for us, took our dissatisfaction seriously and responded very understandingly. She also explained to us that it was exceptionally crowded that evening, which to be honest we saw. To bridge the waiting time, we were even brought fresh bread with aioli, a small gesture that left a big impression on us. When the food finally came, it tasted good, the schnitzel was nice and crispy, but a little too much for my wife, the ribs could have been a little more tender, but the side dishes were well balanced. It was a bit of a shame that the waiting time spoiled the overall impression, but the really attentive and friendly service made up for it. Conclusion: The prices are not cheap, the wait was long, but you feel welcome here. Thanks to the great service, especially from Ms. Schalin, we will definitely give the restaurant a second chance. Maybe not on such a busy evening.

Disappointing visit – unfortunately not what it once was Unfortunately, my last visit to Café del Sol was very disappointing. The pasta dish was served carelessly on a simple plate and tasted rather boring. The portion was also surprisingly small. The service seemed disorganized and inattentive - our re-ordered bread was completely forgotten. Even the homemade iced tea, once a highlight, now tastes bland and has nothing to do with the quality of bygone times. Overall, the price-performance ratio was absolutely not good. My money is simply too good for what was offered. I won't come back again - what a shame!

We celebrated a friend's birthday there and everything was great. It was my first time there, the staff was super nice and kept coming to the table and asking if we would like anything else. The food came quickly, good portion and super tasty. The drinks are a decent size. Our every wish was fulfilled, the cake we brought with us could be put in the fridge, and even the water for a baby was made warm. Simply great!

The staff is very friendly. Often you wait quite a long time because staff are probably missing. Unfortunately, the menu/dishes are being changed more and more often. For example, there are no longer sunny scrambled eggs with feta cheese for breakfast. We have been regular guests for many years and are really not gluttons, but you can hardly get full anymore and everything is becoming more and more expensive 🙈 Well.. But there is a nice atmosphere both in winter and especially in summer. ☀️

The two of us were there today on a Sunday shortly before 10 p.m. and were greeted in a very friendly manner by “Moha”. He informed us that the kitchen would be closing soon, but was happy to take our order. Moha was super personable, warm and very accommodating with everything. Even though we were there so recently and the restaurant was almost empty, we felt very comfortable and the food also tasted great 😊

Breakfast buffet is very good! Salmon, egg dishes, sausage, cheese, salads, various types of bread and rolls, etc. For those with a sweet tooth, there are small pieces of cake and desserts in glasses.

I'm being nice, actually only 1 star would be due after waiting 1.5 hours for the food, although after an hour I politely asked where was the food and someone came after 1.5 hours and asked if we would like it for free. I'll eat somewhere else in the future.

So, the service was very nice. But anyone who uses FROZEN patties for burgers in 2025 (really now??) instead of using fresh patties will definitely never see us as customers again! Today there are real burger shops everywhere with 100% freshly minced beef every day. Café Del Sol's system is quite a disgrace! If you want frozen food, open the freezer at home. ADDENDUM to the answer: I hope your answer was meant as a joke? So when you order your “favorite food” burger, people all over the world ask HOW the meat should be FRIED! You can't even offer a COOKING LEVEL for the meat of the burger (you don't fry, you deep-fry the patties!), which every good burger shop can do with "consistent quality". Why can't you do it?

The Café del Sol offers a good selection of food and drinks, and the spacious terrace is a great place to sit outside, especially on sunny days. Ample parking is available.

We are very disappointed. Unfortunately the burger was cold. Not even lukewarm. You couldn't even complain to the service staff because they simply never came by. They preferred to stand together at the front of the bar and talk. We had to wait forever for drinks. It wasn't because there weren't enough staff there, but because only 2 out of 8 were actually working and the others were standing next to each other talking most of the time. Very unfortunate.

As a guest, the waitress Nadja puts you in a bad mood. Unfortunately not at first. I'd say she's in the wrong job. Anyone who is in such a bad mood and makes a fuss (sorry, but there's no other way to describe it) should consider whether they want to continue working on guests.

Unfortunately, I can't rate the food because even when the sun is shining and there are heaters outside, you're not served... Unfortunately, that's a problem every spring. The service staff is still great, they can't do anything about their guidelines. But after so many years, I would think it would be great if it would work to be served outside... That's really a big drawback and gets around as a criticism...

First of all, we were forgotten after ordering (8 people) and then we waited an hour for our food. When the food finally came, it was cold. We were forced to eat it because we were so hungry. Of course, there wasn't enough sauce on the burgers and the meat was already dead and very dry due to the long standing time. For a tablespoon of coleslaw we were charged €3. Absolutely ridiculous. They didn't want to know anything about compensation. Everything that could go wrong went wrong here. The store will definitely not see us again. The worst Café del Sol in the area. An absolute tragedy. Our guests were more than disappointed. It was also very embarrassing for us.

Went there this evening and were totally disappointed with the service. First we waited a long time at the front until someone was there and took us to the table. Then they didn't even ask if we had reserved but simply showed us a table. After the meal, neither the plate nor the glasses nor anyone showed up. In the 1 hour total, we were there for 1:30 hours. A dog kept balling and none of the waiters said anything. It's a shame. The mood was in the basement and I had never experienced such bad service before. And then expect people to give tips. Wow

We were very dissatisfied today. Our first impression was full of skepticism. Once seated, we had to wait over 15 minutes to place our order. For the schnitzel holiday we were hoping for, an incredibly long waiting time (approx. 40-50 minutes), even though the house wasn't really full. When asked, they said that the kitchen no longer had so much to do. However, it took just as long for the next order. The staff always walked past the table and left the plates. All in all, I have to say, I can't make a recommendation unless there is a significant change in the service attitude. The price-performance ratio (food) is really great, but due to the waiting time you are full before you can order again. We were definitely very disappointed and will be changing houses.

So, we were really looking forward to finally having a schnitzel vacation again. But if you have to wait twice for 40 minutes for your food, you can no longer speak of “all you can eat”. Because it seemed a little like they wanted to get us full quicker. I don't eat 10 schnitzels, but I would have liked to eat one more. The empty plates also stood in front of us for an eternity. Even when the second schnitzel finally came, the plates were still in the way. Not very nice. Unfortunately, attention to the guest was not given. What I also think isn't so nice are the new plates. The high edge is a bit annoying when cutting the meat, this is just a note. We are usually guests at the Café del Sol in Mühlheim, big compliments to the team there. Fast and friendly service. I was expecting more special features on the map. This is already very mainstream! Ordered rigatoni aioli with additional chicken. The food was good without being shiny. Plenty of free parking spaces in front of the door and an indoor atmosphere that you like or not. Well attended, therefore a successful concept.

Unfortunately, some dishes are not of such high quality or interpreted differently, but other dishes are very tasty. Service is also very diligent, but unfortunately I don't see any class in the restaurant. It's okay for a social evening with buddies or friends.

I am very pleased that we were there on a Saturday afternoon and ate and drank there. The staff came to you quite quickly and took the orders. The spritzers taste good, are not too watery and the food was warm and a relatively large portion. The price was perfectly fine. Always my pleasure.

I'm invited to a birthday brunch at Cafe del Sol today. Since I've been here several times, I unfortunately have to say that it's getting worse and worse. Unfortunately, the shortage of skilled workers also comes into play here. The breakfast was very simple, but good. The bacon with the scrambled eggs was extremely salty. Brunch lasts until 1 p.m. Unfortunately at 12:30 there were only leftovers. Among other things, there were chicken wings. They were extremely spicy. They had no color at all. They looked like they were still raw.

Cafe del Sol is getting quite old. Went there spontaneously to eat, until we were informed on site that there was only breakfast until 1 p.m. Not a word about it on the phone. We were there shortly before 12. There was almost nothing left of the hot buffet and it wasn't refilled either. The apple spritzer consisted of 90% water and 10% apple juice plus a dark hair that got lost. The food was of the lowest quality, you didn't know what to eat for 20.90. If you want a normal, rich and warm brunch, you should go to Losteria Mönchengladbach. Never again Cafe del sol.....

I am a frequent guest at Cafe Del Sol and can only say positive things. The staff is friendly across the board and always tries to do justice to the guest. The restaurant is cozy and nicely decorated. The food I've eaten there so far has been good, the burgers aren't the best for me, but I've also eaten significantly worse ones, which doesn't mean that they're bad, just not to my taste. The prices are quite high but acceptable given the possibilities. The portions are okay. I enjoy being there and will definitely be a guest there more often!

The price-performance ratio is absolutely fair, and the diverse selection of dishes leaves nothing to be desired - everything I've tried so far has been delicious. For a chain restaurant, Café del Sol really delivers good quality.

We were here for breakfast brunch. It was comparatively loud because it was very crowded. The food was tasty, but it didn't stand out in a positive way either. All in all a good breakfast.

Unfortunately, it quickly became apparent that the initially positive impression did not last long. The volume inside is enormous. You can hardly understand what the person next to you is saying. We also waited almost 20 minutes for our drinks and even then they didn't come in full, but in several stages, for which we had to wait again and again. Now let's get to the food: We ordered from across the menu. Both the schnitzels and the salads were nothing to complain about. The taste and portions were great. What we unfortunately found very negative were the pinsas. Although they tasted great, the price was outrageous (almost €15). Unfortunately, they were really disappointing. Unfortunately, even a complaint was laughed at and ignored. All in all, the food was very good, at least in terms of taste. But we probably won't come back due to the overall conditions.

I had lunch there with a friend. We both ordered pasta dishes. When the food arrived I was very disappointed. My companion's plate looked rich and delicious, whereas mine was only half the portion, was hardly salted and was generally neutral in taste. In terms of price, such quality is not justified at all. The bottom line is that I wouldn't have too high expectations when it comes to the food. It's like playing the lottery. Sometimes you're lucky and it tastes good and sometimes it doesn't. Service was okay, although no one came to the table in between. So conclusion: if you want to go out for a drink and also enjoy a decent ambience, you're in good hands. I can't recommend going out to eat.

Food is OK, staff is nice. Unfortunately, it has been understaffed for a long time and therefore sometimes really long waiting times.

This was my first time at Café del Sol, I was previously unfamiliar with the chain. We laid the necessary “technical basis” for the day for a bachelorette party there. The first thing to mention is the huge parking lot. Access to the restaurant is barrier-free. However, only half, the front part of the restaurant, is accessible by wheelchair. At ten o'clock everyone except our table was already full. We had reserved, so if you want to have brunch spontaneously you can usually stay at home. Actually, what you are served at the buffet is not brunch - but a continental breakfast. An opulent breakfast buffet with warm egg dishes, bacon and meatballs. You get warm food from the warming thing, everything else is in small bowls at the buffet and you can easily go back to your seat without having to spend a long time scratching around on the cheese plate. There is a huge selection of bread. Mett, various cheeses, yogurt, muesli, fruit. And the café machine is pretty good too. The employees were very nice and tried hard.

After a long time, back at Café del Sol. The coffee crème was a limp liquor that was significantly overpriced at €3.60. The food (Ceasar burger with fries) was ok and reasonable for the price. However, when I want to eat from soggy paper, I usually don't go to a restaurant, I go straight to the restaurant with the capital M. So what's the point? The service staff was friendly, although due to the lack of staff they were also partly untrained. If I still have the cutlery in my hand and am chewing, I don't want the waiter to help clear it away. Maybe you have to try to convey that. All in all: not again anytime soon. Too bad!

Just had dinner there with the family, the service and the ambience were quite okay. I'm actually not really picky, but the food was at best "better fries shop". The fries tasted like a “deep freezer discounter” and the same thing with the sauces. The burger was also very weak, little sauce, little toppings and absolutely no taste. The breading on the nuggets for the children tasted very strange. But the prices were high. I thought restaurants rely on unique selling points so that people talk about them, tell others about them and so that they will come back again at some point. Too bad we won't do the latter. Speaking of which, the men's room smelled disgusting...

A nice restaurant which is also open on Sundays. There is even a brunch buffet for 20 euros with a lot of variety until 1 p.m. Lunch is also delicious. We tried the Avocado Pinsa (a longish pizza) and the Chicken Burger. Both recommended

With the best of my knowledge and conscience I cannot recommend the store! We came here to eat with over 20 people and because we had brought our own cake, which was agreed upon beforehand, we had to pay €2 per plate in order to be able to use it... but charging €5 for a coffee is reasonable... I think something like that Personally underwhelming!!! Ps over €600 left there NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

Very friendly and competent service staff. Food good. The only thing that bothered me was the acoustics. Overall it is very loud. As a result, it is difficult to follow conversations.

Waited a solid 1 hour and 15 minutes for the food. Then only one out of five portions came. The rest of the food came another 10 minutes later. So eating together was not possible. Too bad!
