Cafe Del Sol Marl in Marl

The restaurant is a visual highlight, but unfortunately, it's very loud when there are lots of people. The food is okay, with the most crumbly croissants I've ever had, and the butter and jam are carelessly placed on the plate in plastic containers. The service is truly excellent; they regularly engage with customers without being intrusive!

We spontaneously dropped in on a Monday evening. They had a table for us, and the service was extremely friendly. Unfortunately, as in every Café del Sol branch, the acoustics here are extremely loud. Perhaps acoustic panels on the ceiling could improve this? You practically have to shout at each other. For dinner, we had salad and sweet potato fries with hummus. Very, very tasty. However, they also advertised pomegranate seeds. I found about 5 frozen pomegranate seeds on top. Still, always nice here. :)

The food tasted very good and there was a pleasant atmosphere.

Were here again today for breakfast after a long time. Unfortunately not recommended. Food was quite okay. However, we (3 people) had to wait half an hour for our breakfast. Even reordering a cocoa took almost 15 minutes. Therefore, our visit was unfortunately not very satisfactory. Too bad

I probably don't have to write about the ambience of a Café del Sol, but what I would definitely like to emphasize is the experience we have had several times with the service. All the waiters were courteous, friendly and took great care of the guests.

The food at del Sol is solid and doesn't disappoint. Unfortunately, the Wild Chicken Burger and the Schnitzel Pinsa were taken off the menu. Very unfortunate. The service is always very friendly. The background noise is always very loud, but that doesn't stop since the del Sol offers a lot of seats.

Of course I can do that when everything is occupied...it's very loud...but it's like that everywhere...otherwise it's very comfortable there...on the benches and armchairs, the chairs with the backs are not so good...because I'm a bit more stable, they do hurt on the sides

When I was there there was very little going on. I liked it very much.

You should reserve in advance if there are more than 2 people as it is always full. Otherwise everything was perfect. Sometimes there are a little longer waiting times for food.

Two people were there the day before yesterday! The menu was ok... I read César Salad Jo 10.90. My friend asked the waitress if we would like this salad (pictured). The waitress says yes to our César salad. And ordered! I ordered a small amount of water and my girlfriend ordered a spritzer. Wanted to pay separately. Then the new waiter tells me 19.80 Wow... how much does the water cost 8 euros or what? Nope... he answered very cheekily... that's the César salad and the chicken comes extra! What a quarter of an iceberg with some cheese costs 10.90 He cheekily said “clear”. I don't care what you think!! Green boy with eggshells behind his ears. Outrageous for a bit of iceberg and a bit of cheese, when I say a bit then it was a bit over 10 euros This is not my first César. But green salad and some cheese is not César. (According to the waitress, the salad in the picture was a César. It was a complete impudence to charge 5 euros for the 4 pieces of meat Never, ever again.... I'll go to the restaurant for that money. And the waiter was cheeky!!! That was my last visit! Can fool others

Tonight was really nice in the Café del Sol in Marl. The young woman named Sandy who served us was very, very friendly and cheerful. She often asked if everything was okay at the table and if we were okay. That was so great and we always had a nice exchange. We had already told her that we thought it was great and would write a good review. We would have loved to hug each other. The food was good too... Thanks for the great evening. I come from Buer and will definitely go back to Marl.

I am very satisfied, I was there with my family, it is cozy and nicely decorated. Employees are very nice and accommodating.

We had brunch today with 12 people. I would particularly like to highlight the extremely attentive, friendly and approachable service provided by Maria and Luis. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back!

Their service is really bad, they don't have a friendly face, it's like they're trying to force each other, but I can't speak for all of them, of course, but their service is bad.

Three people met us there. Cold cocoa, cappuccino doesn't deserve the name, and also cold. Burger BBQ with bacon a disaster. Half cold, impossibly fried. 3 espressos were served at the house's expense, as both food and hot drinks were hard to enjoy. Never stop here again. The Cafe del Solist in Marl. This is also evident from the receipt.

Very nice restaurant, great service, good price/performance ratio

We had a really good time! Waiter Mayko served us and was a really nice guy – super accommodating, super nice and really made us laugh all the time 😂 It's rare to experience such great service. We'll definitely be back! 5 stars :)

Ambience nice. Service nice. But for me the price is really extortionate... A Latte M. for almost 5€ (not a big one!!) Nope. It would have tasted great now, okay. But that was a normal latte... A look at the map. For syrup!!! 1€ extra 🫣

The inside of the place looks beautiful with a chilled atmosphere. Unfortunately, it's pretty *very* loud. I ordered three things, a BBQ bacon burger menu with sweet potato fries and nachos. I received a burger that had a taste explosion comparable to canned beans and was just to cry. Instead of sweet potato fries I got normal potato fries and the nachos didn't even arrive. I had to order the nachos, they are served cold with a cold sauce, I can count the number of nachos on one hand and for €4 it's just a shame. Service was very friendly, bread as a starter is fantastic.

The food is OK, but what you pay for it is definitely too high. Half a pinsa is for the hollow tooth. You can get a larger piece of pizza for less money at every fair. The mini schnitzels, even if there are two of them, are all the same. Look like frozen schnitzel. Real schnitzels look different. I won't go there again.

Very good! Fresh and crispy potatoes. Burger was very good with cucumbers. I liked! I was expecting a Cesar salad, but to my surprise, it came with delicious pasta. I liked!

What bothered me most was that practically all of the free tables were not clean. We'll probably just clear the table. There were also lots of leftover food on the floor and under the tables. I think that given these high prices, you should pay a little more attention to things like this. At least the waitresses are always nice and friendly.

My husband and I went there on our lunch break. Unfortunately, we immediately regretted this. We had almost 2 1/2 hours for food and drinks. We ordered something to drink, which came very quickly (it's not an art thing). Then we ordered something to eat straight away... and from then on it went downhill... after 1 1/2 hours we asked where our food was. The waiter said kindly that it would definitely come soon. Fact! It also came immediately... Cold and unseasoned. The noodles were totally overcooked, cold and not seasoned a bit. My husband's burger was also cold, dry and so were the fries. The table next to us had also been complaining amongst themselves and the lady at the table happened to have the same pasta. And she also confirmed that the noodles turned out absolutely nothing. When we spoke to us, we were only given a waiver of drinks (1x cola, 1x water) but we had to pay for the food. Unfortunately, this has happened several times now. Unfortunately we will no longer visit this Café Del Sol.

We always enjoying coming here. It is petfriendly, so sometimes we stop by for lunch with our dog after a walk. Service is always fast and friendly. Food is delicious, highly recommend the burgers and chips!

Back today after a long time and had a burger. It was ok, you can improve it with more and better barbecue sauce. Why not, I think the background noise is too loud. With the music it becomes exhausting to have a conversation. But why not...

I recently visited Café Del Sol and I have to say that I was really disappointed by the prices for water. In my opinion, €7.40 for a 0.75 liter bottle of water is absolutely overpriced, especially when you consider that a whole box with 12 bottles of Gerolsteiner water (also 0.75 liter per bottle) retails for just €5.99 costs without deposit. How can it be that a bottle in a café costs more than a whole case in the store? Of course I understand that there are surcharges in a restaurant, but such a price difference is incomprehensible to me. Unfortunately, it leaves a very negative impression and I would like to see more realistic prices set here.

Ich war kürzlich zu Besuch im Café Del Sol und muss sagen, dass mich die Preise für Wasser wirklich enttäuscht haben. 7,40 € für eine 0,75 Liter Flasche Wasser ist meiner Meinung nach absolut überteuert, besonders wenn man bedenkt, dass ein ganzer Kasten mit 12 Flaschen Gerolsteiner Wasser (ebenfalls 0,75 Liter pro Flasche) im Einzelhandel gerade mal 5,99 € ohne Pfand kostet. Wie kann es sein, dass eine Flasche im Café mehr kostet als ein ganzer Kasten im Einkauf? Natürlich verstehe ich, dass es in einem Restaurant Aufschläge gibt, aber ein solcher Preisunterschied ist für mich nicht nachvollziehbar. Es hinterlässt leider einen sehr negativen Eindruck und ich würde mir wünschen, dass man hier etwas realistischere Preise ansetzt.

Friendly staff, delicious food, reasonable prices

Ambiance like in every Café del Sol but the food is significantly worse than in all the others. I go to Del Sol all the time but nowhere is the food as miserable as here. Now for the second time in a row I got coal briquettes instead of schnitzel. Really miserable 😒

Pleasant atmosphere, it feels indeed like in America. Very nice terrace with swings, trees and plants. Food was delicious. I tried Aglio pasta with extra shrimps.

Very cozy and beautifully furnished, the service was very attentive and friendly, but also left us at peace.

We were there for brunch with a group of 6 people. A good table was ordered and the staff was also nice and attentive. The food was delicious and there was something for every taste. Whether savory or sweet, whether rolls or fruit or muesli. Drinks are not included in the breakfast price, coffee, tea, etc. Since it wasn't that full, the atmosphere was reasonably good. When it's full, you often can't understand the person sitting opposite you.

We were very happy with everything. Our waiter Luis was particularly competent and gave us great advice on ours. We left Café del Sol in a good mood and very full. Always happy again 😀 Andrea

Were there again for a long time. Food and service were fine. Everything is great.

I was in Mülheim and there was very tasty thin pizza there. This appears to have been replaced by fairly thick pinsa. Unfortunately my burger was hard and dry and somehow none of the 5 guests were really satisfied. We won't be going back here any time soon, but apparently Café del Sol isn't the same everywhere, we were happier in Krefeld and Mülheim

Yesterday we went to Cafe del Sol for a burger and we were really surprised! Burgers very tasty, service really great. Attentive and friendly! The desserts were also very tasty! We'll definitely come back for burgers!

Always happy to go there, whether for breakfast or evening. Nothing beats the avocado slices and Chick & Chips with a delicious raspberry lemon soda :-) I've always enjoyed coming here for many years!

You know that everything has become more expensive, and that's okay, but 12 fries and a chicken schnitzel from the deep fryer for €18.90, well the chip shop around the corner is better. For dessert, a piece of almond cake for €4.10 plus €1.20 for a dollop of cream. I'm really not petty but all in all this could be a little better. Otherwise everything was great, the waitress was super nice and the atmosphere was nice too.

There is actually little to complain about at Café del Sol in Marl. We were greeted very friendly. A table was assigned to us just as friendly. The drinks and food came very quickly. As evidence of this: My wife, two children and I were in the restaurant for less than an hour, it happened so quickly. What really disappointed us, however, was the price/performance ratio. Of course, many things have become more expensive. Paying more here than with a delivery service is perfectly fine. Only... neither the children, my wife or I were enthusiastic about the food or even full. The burgers or the schnitzel were neither big nor were they really good. Only the fries were actually tasty. A good snack bar can do this with better quality and much more taste for half the price. Dear del Sol staff, thank you for your friendly and courteous hospitality. We'd love to come back for a cappuccino, but definitely not for dinner again. The staff is recommended, the food definitely not. The “big M” 200 m further is almost the better alternative 😉.

Always nice there, just a little loud.

We had breakfast, the scrambled eggs were very tasty, the rest was a bit clear and without decorations like cucumber or something similar, cheese and sausage as standard. The service was super friendly, the terrace was beautiful. Price performance is not right here.

Cafe del Sol... versuchen wir es mal wieder mit einer Kette... Bedienung war freundlich und schnell, auch das Essen stand erfreulich schnell auf dem Tisch, es war aber noch recht leer im Laden. Zuerst gab es Brot mit Aioli. Aioli war OK, etwas zu mayonaisig. Das Brot war leider schon ein wenig älter und angetrocknet. So geht*s nicht, Freunde! Pommes waren offenbar aus Pampe hergestellt und weit weg von echten Kartoffeln. Sehr knusprig, aber geschacklich mangelhaft, die Mayo dazu war schnell aufgebruacht und sie Pommes nur zur Hälfte da. Der BBQ Bacon Burger war im Prinzip okay, einziger Kritikpunkt: zu viel Rucola der den restlichen Geschmack überdeckt hat... nicht so schlimm, kann man ja runternehmen. Der vegane Hummus Burger dagegen war extrem überzwiebelt, von Hummus war dadurch gar nichts zu schmecken. Preisniveau schien etwas unterhalb des benachbarten Timberjacks, allerdings dafür das Essen in dieser Momentaufnahme auch schlechter und (subjektiv) des Ambiente langweiliger.

0815 shop where you don't even get the food at the same time, 3 people from the staff chatter behind the bar and 1 person runs the place. Can be completely forgotten.

Ambience nice, service nice and good, but the food is not good for a restaurant! The barbecue burger had the wrong sauce on it, a frozen slice and wasn't homemade. The schnitzels were all fried dark brown in the deep fryer and were also frozen :-(

I was there with a larger group. The food came to the table at the same time. I really enjoyed my schnitzel and the other dishes were also very tasty. The staff were very attentive and friendly!

Small portion, service super nice

Delicious chili cheese fries and a tangy passion fruit spritzer that reminds me of summer and Capri ice cream. A large restaurant, beautifully furnished with various seating options, such as normal tables with wooden chairs, but also chilled out leather sofas. A large covered outdoor terrace with a view of the countryside. When it came to the toilets, I didn't like the cubicle doors because the door leaf was made of wooden slats that were angled downwards. And there was a very unpleasant toilet smell there. The young staff was very friendly, quick and attentive.

Everything was great, unfortunately the prices have risen like everywhere else. But always happy to go there.

I find it very comfortable here! However, it is a bit noisy overall, entertaining is a bit tiring 😄 But sitting outside is very pleasant. So far it has always been tasty, both for brunch and from the menu. Employees are all friendly 😊

Ast pure shop. Very nicely designed. The food and cocktails e.g. B. are great. Unfortunately located a little outside of the city center but easy to reach by bus.

Like every Café del Sol, very nice. What was unfortunately very annoying was the volume. Music was too loud so the guests were very loud. It had a bit of a train station hall feel to it. I suspect that next time we will try one of the two restaurants next door or we will no longer stop there in the evening.

Order your food carefully It's not clear on the menu that it has meat.

The food there was really bad. A teriyaki pinsa does not deserve the name pinsa and even less did the sauce have anything to do with teriyaki. The bad underground and also outrageously expensive for the taste. The completely overpriced also applies to the other dishes. Wouldn't eat there again!

As always, a delicious visit worth it. Service and quality are great. A schnitzel with fries and salad now costs €18.90. That's a proud price. Otherwise very tasty and we'll still come :)
