Café Bar Tirrée in Berlin

It was a poem, delicious dishes, originally offered and very very friendly!!

A few years ago, the place was reasonably cozy, but now, unfortunately, it's completely run down. Unloved "decoration" next to an old boiler on the wall. Tables from the bulky waste, each with a hook hanging from them (probably a school desk) that's perfect for ripping clothes off. Service is understaffed, the restroom is in terrible condition, etc. I really feel sorry for the crew who work there. It's better to spend your money in stores whose owners aren't just lining their own pockets. P.S. Don't make the mistake of complaining to the "boss" that the toilet is flooded. Otherwise, you'll immediately receive some creative excuses and insults. P.P.S. I'm curious to see what kind of rude or meaningless "response" follows this review.

This ordering via app is real crap

Unfortunately, in a moderately busy restaurant, the two waitresses weren't even able to bring the menu. I went to the restaurant across the street.

It's truly unbelievable how much service has deteriorated. You ask the staff the price of a slice of cake, and they tell you, "Go outside and scan the QR code on the tables to see the prices." Is it really that difficult to point to the cake right next to them and name the price? I just wanted to take something. After I insisted, they finally told me the price of the slice. When I wanted to take one, the young man placed the slices on a small cardboard tray (an open tray, not sealed). I waited for him to put the trays in a paper bag, but he just stood there and waited for me to pay. I looked at him, and he said, "What? Do you need another bag?" Crazy, do you really think I walk 600 meters home with open trays in my hand? Really? Finally, he did put the cake slices in paper bags, but (warning!!!): he placed them on a WET surface. Meaning, the bags got wet! Nobody expects the restaurant industry to be their life's passion, but such lousy service is truly disgraceful. I've never seen someone with so little willpower. And last but not least: They don't even speak German well (which wouldn't be so bad if they at least offered decent service, but they don't)... Oh yeah, I almost forgot: They've rearranged things, and now it's almost impossible to get through to the counter where the bagels and cakes are displayed. What was my favorite neighborhood café/bar until a year ago is now a place I won't return to or recommend. Such a shame!

There's a hottie working in the kitchen, and he makes the best pesto in Berlin! The rest of the place is okay, too.

The nicest and coolest coffee spot in Moabit! The staff feel like family—always warm, welcoming, and treating you as if you’re one of their own. Back in March, I lost the keys to my apartment, and at 1 a.m. they let me in to charge my phone. They truly saved my life that night, and I will never forget their kindness. The coffee and food are excellent, served quickly, and every visit feels just like coming home.💘💘💘💘💘💘💘

The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and accommodating. The decor is super interesting, and the seating is very comfortable. There are great vegan and vegetarian options. The prices are also extremely reasonable, with a mimosa costing only €1.80 on a Saturday.

We wanted to sit outside for a quick coffee and order via QR code. Unfortunately, the app wasn't working, so we went inside to order directly. The place seemed rather disorganized – a gentleman (presumably the owner) didn't take our order, but instead directed us back outside and told us to wait. Since the three of us weren't prepared to wait around 30 minutes for a coffee, we decided to move on after a short while – just a few meters away. Suddenly, the gentleman in question shouted loudly across the guest area and across the street several times in our direction: "Hey! You! Hey YOU!" He pointed his finger at me and shouted again loudly: "You! YOU just ordered a coffee from me!" This scene was hard for bystanders to ignore and had an extremely unpleasant effect on everyone present. I went back to calmly explain to him that we hadn't ordered anything, but had simply left because of the wait. Without further discussion, he turned around and muttered something like, "Then just get lost." As a guest, I find such behavior unacceptable. I didn't get the impression that customers were treated with respect here. Instead, I was loudly and publicly humiliated – apparently due to an internal misunderstanding. A place I certainly won't return to again.

Very nice and queer friendly place! Very affordable as well. Would highly recommend. Food and coffee and the regular drinks are all very good! I went there multiple times this week already.

Whenever I'm nearby, I really enjoy going there. However, I've noticed that some of the waitresses are extremely stressed and in a bad mood. Saying to a colleague in front of a customer, "You don't know anything about this," "You're doing it wrong anyway," "What have you been doing for the last hour?", etc., probably shouldn't be done in front of the customers. I think I've been there six times now, and I've witnessed at least four arguments... But otherwise, everything's been great :)

I like coming to Tirree; it has a nice atmosphere and a wide selection. After an unpleasant situation arose between us and a waiter over the weekend, the owner contacted us via email, apologized, and explained the situation. He also left a voucher for us as an apology. We appreciate this gesture and look forward to the next evening! 😊

I've been coming here for six years, but I've never experienced anything like this. The service is snail-paced, the wheat beer tastes like vinegar, and the pilsner is as flat as old dish soap. Summer 2025? There's no love – tirree!

We had a nice breakfast here, although it took a while. A great mimosa with freshly squeezed orange juice, a bagel with lox, and some very original breakfast names. The cappuccino with almond milk was also delicious.

Our favourite place in the neighbourhood! Stefan, the owner, is super friendly, the food is delicious and creative, the environment very bohemian. Lemonades and bagels are just amazing. Looking forward to coming back soon.

Fantastic cafe. Very friendly staff. Coffee was the best I had in 5 days in Berlin. So good, I popped in 3 times, and variously had a freshly cooked croissant, tasty salmon bagel, and a delicious cheesecake. Relaxed atmosphere. Do give it a try!

If you're going to rationalize waiters and introduce a QR code ordering system, it should at least work. Two-thirds of the drinks were wrong or never arrived. I go to a bar to chat, not to have to pull out my phone and order drinks from the shopping cart. We were there in a larger group, and the first five minutes were wasted because everyone was on their phones... Super uncharming, it doesn't create a pleasant atmosphere, and (as I said) it doesn't even work, lol

Cocktails were delicious but these were the worst nachos I've had in my life. Nachos are really so easy to make, I really don't know what went wrong. The bowl consisted of 90% of the small broken chip tips that are in a bag at the bottom. Not good chips either, but the ones with chili flavor or something like that from the supermarket. On top there was a handful of cheese that wasn't melted, and there was no cheese left under the first layer. Very cheap but really a failure :( Addendum: you described yourself on Google Maps as a café with a bar? And what kind of cocktail bar offers breakfast, appetizers, entrees/pasta, and waffles? Are they all bad because you are “just a cocktail bar”?

Drinks expensive... Uncomfortable seating...

The rating is way overhyped. Scrambled egg and salmon breakfast was pretty crap to be honest. Would come back for the coffee (flat white), but skip the breakfast menu.

Incredibile place, extremely kind staff, great food and drinks, both in terms of choice and quality. We had an issue with a late order (definitely a honestly mistake, probably caused by the automated ordering system they use) and they went above and beyond to make up for the wait even though we didn't ask. Strongly recommend.

Super nice personal service who recommended an incredibly delicious fresh tea. The atmosphere is relaxed with good music and the guests seem nice. There is WiFi and sockets and I was able to work here for a good hour. Only card payment is possible here, which I found very pleasant.

The Tirree is the size in Moabit. This is where the bar and café culture in the Birkenstrasse neighborhood began. You quickly notice the owner's growing charm, sometimes a bit chaotic, but always loving and good. The food is great, especially for a bar (in the evening), as a café and for breakfast there is good brunch, good cakes and good lunch anyway. And there is always something special: a new drink here, a nice meal there. Bring some peace and quiet, especially in summer it's full of fans outside. Don't worry: you can also just drink a beer and chat.

Very friendly staff the food is very nice. The hummus specifically is scrumptious. The beverages they make are awesome and even the alcoholic drinks have a very wide and interesting selection. Would recommend and will definitely visit again. :)

It's really beautiful there. The atmosphere is decorated with a lot of love. There is always a relaxed, happy atmosphere there! The food and drink are super delicious and there is always variety. There is also something for everyone. Whether vegetarian or vegan. The staff is also super nice and helps you feel comfortable. Plus the prices are great too. I really enjoy going there :)

The atmosphere is nice, the food is delicious, the drinks are good and the prices are fair. The service is friendly and professional - and that's exactly why I feel sorry for the staff and how they are treated by the owner. In my opinion, his treatment of the employees is absolutely impossible and has a negative impact on the atmosphere. I therefore avoid days when he is there. Without this problem, the store would be an unreserved recommendation.

We had a great time here, atmosphere is wonderful, the staff is super friendly and kind. The food and drinks were amazing and we couldn’t have asked for better service. We will definitely come back next time we’re in Berlin!

Cool cafe in the neighborhood. The waffles and Black Forest cake were very tasty. Unfortunately, the hot apple-mint-rhubarb was not the same and the friendly service swapped it for a simple pure orange juice. But unfortunately the juice didn't arrive pure but with cinnamon, which I can't tolerate. The whole process also took a very long time. Better next time, I hope :)

Love the place, love this corner because it's my neibourghood but, last time I went I had a whisky sour that looked nothing like a whisky sour. We ordered flatbread with hummus and Baba ganoush. The Baba ganoush was tiny and super cold. The flatbread were some sad supermarket tortilla wrap that were heated up and made it cold and hard to the table. I told the waiter this is not flatbread, and he gave me a hard cold bagel and laugenbread. I had to ask him to heat them up cause they were to hard to eat otherwise. Please don't mock your customers like this, they deserve a proper product for their money and if u r giving old bread, at least have the decency to warm it up, we are paying. The flat white was nice.

the servant is very very very dirty, like homeless or worse. Update: I was there about a week ago at 12:45pm and the guy on duty was nice but so dirty. Be a successful businessman and fix your mistakes Update 2:It's called hygiene and it is very important in the food industry, if you don't know that while serving food then this is another big problem Update 3: The review prompted the owner to comment, but I won't be visiting you again due to hygiene concerns and that's why you rated 1 star and poor

This is one of my favorite restaurant / bar in Moabit. I normally visit here about once a week for beer and a small meal. I highly recommend this place. The staff is always friendly and it has a great atmosphere. The decor is very eclectic which really adds to that atmosphere.

Very good coffee and delicious cakes Still going there after 2 years, unfortunately the cake got smaller and the price stays the same. What makes me really reconsider going again is I saw the waitress picking up my cake with bare hands, and she didn’t wash them before 🙁

I celebrated my birthday there and could not have had a better experience. We were around 25 people and had they party cellar as room which is awesome. The service was unforgettable!! Always super nice to me and the guests, friendly and just the best. Highly recommend everyone who wants to have an unforgettable celebration to make a reservation and have a great time there.

Way too crowded, way too loud. I could barely understand my date. Sometimes less is simply more. And the fact that you can only pay with a card or a crude Apo made me even more annoyed.

Strong shop! If you want to drink a beer at 11:30 a.m. without feeling guilty, this is the place for you. The pastries were homemade and the staff was not only helpful but also very funny. A really pleasant place to spend time relaxing!

Long waiting times, but the waitresses sit in groups in front of the bar without caring about anything and the drinks are very small and carelessly prepared. Edit: I think you're talking about other dissatisfied customers. We've been there several times and, for example, the second last time we waited 15 minutes for two drinks in an empty restaurant at midnight. Nevertheless, our previous visit was the last, there are much better bars in the surrounding area.

My wife and I were in Berlin for the European Football Championships and lived near the Tirree. We spontaneously went for breakfast on Sunday and were really impressed. The boss greeted us personally and gave us some great tips for breakfast. We then decided on cafe latte and cappucino as well as mango-herb-lemon lemonade and a freshly squeezed orange juice as drinks. For dinner there was bagel with fried egg, bagel vegan Laxxx (a real treat!!!) as well as organic scrambled eggs with tomatoes and onions as well as Bircher muesli with fruit and a delicious yoghurt. Everything tasted great and was simply beautifully presented. The atmosphere was very warm and we were looked after wonderfully. We can only warmly recommend the restaurant and will definitely come back next time we are in Berlin.❤️

Bagel Vegi Laxxxx sehr überraschend gut! Vegie Wrap treffend saftig und deftig! Lieber selbst einzelne aussuchen als ein Kombi nehmen. Es ist günstiger und lecker.
