Café am Markt in Alfeld (Leine)

We were visiting family today and wanted to have Italian food. Unfortunately, it's a bit far from here, otherwise I think we'd be here every weekend. We'll definitely be back next time. The owners are truly Italian, so the food is authentic Italian, too. Everything is homemade, from pasta to dessert. We had Spaghetti Carbonara (without cream!) Original!! And Pasta Aglio Olio, and because it was just so perfectly delicious, we also had a Pizza Margarita to share. Perfect, perfect, perfect!!! We're already looking forward to the next time.

Today was our first time dining at this cozy little restaurant. It was delicious, and we received friendly service. We'd be happy to return to this welcoming place. We even brought pizzas home for our children, and they were very well received.

Unfortunately, we only visited you today for the first time, but it certainly won't be the last. A colleague who knows his craft. Truly outstanding food. Keep it up. And yes, the price can be a bit higher; the quality deserves it.

We wanted Italian food, and my husband wanted cannelloni! So we checked all the Italian restaurants in the area online and looked at the menus. Many didn't have it on their menus! That's how we discovered this quaint little restaurant. The food (we had the cannelloni and a pizza) was absolutely delicious. The pizza was a really good portion at 30cm. The cannelloni could have been a bit bigger. We had bruschetta first, and the olive oil was fantastic. The price/performance ratio is truly fantastic. We would never have thought you could get such good food in this small, unassuming restaurant. The service was friendly and attentive. We thank you for the delicious food and will definitely be back!

How can it be that an entire group didn't receive a receipt and only cash payment was possible?!

The pizza was truly delicious. The dough was nice and light, crispy, and tasted fresh. The sauce was fruity and spicy. The cheese was just right, and there were plenty of pepperoni on the pizza. The owners were very friendly and highly motivated. As for the ambiance, I can only comment on the entrance.

A very nice trattoria! The carbonara catapulted me straight to vacation, just like in Pompeii. The pizza bufalino had the same effect as in Italy. We were hungry and stopped in here. It looked rather unspectacular both inside and out. But it was worth it. Very worth it. The mixed appetizers were simply delicious – the olive oil alone. Then came the Pizza Diavola. The crust was crispy and thin on the bottom, then the arugula and a few tomatoes were added after baking – that's an unusual and very, very delicious take on pizza. For the over-50s generation in Alfeld, the Salvatore on Leinstrasse from 35 years ago has found a successor.

We went there for pizza yesterday. The pizza was delicious, and the menu was excellent value for money. I think the decor is still from the café on the market, but everything is clean and tidy. There's also a small winter garden and a small shaded terrace. We'll definitely be back.

I'm coming from far away and spontaneously ate here. The pizza is delicious and I was very impressed, and the tiramisu was homemade and also very tasty. The place deserves more than 5 stars :)!

I only eat here when I want something special. The best Italian restaurant, which is actually Sicilian. 😅 The chef prepares the dishes like an artist, with great dedication and passion. I'm always surprised! The menu is varied and the flavors are always perfectly matched. It's simply a pleasure to eat there! A superb chef, charming waitress, and cozy atmosphere. One afternoon in mid-May, we strolled through Alfeld looking for a restaurant for the evening. We saw many nice and not-so-attractive restaurants. On the way back to our accommodation, we passed this nice restaurant and saw a sign outside. The linguine with wild garlic, tuna, and cherry tomatoes immediately caught our attention. The entrance was a bit unusual, but inside, we were greeted by a simple but somehow pleasant atmosphere. We were the first guests of the evening and were greeted like old friends in the empty restaurant. We were allowed to choose our table. The menu was small, but somehow it had everything. Seasonal dishes such as wild garlic and others were offered. The starter was vitello tomato, the main course was linguine with wild garlic, and an espresso. A cool white wine was also included. Friendly service and warm conversation rounded off a truly excellent dinner. Anyone looking for a nice, rustic Italian restaurant is definitely in good hands here. Top address 👍

A very nice little Italian restaurant. A warm service and a warm boss or cook. The food (starter, main course, dessert) tasted excellent. The ambience could perhaps be renovated but this is in no way a star deduction. What counts is the passion of the owners and this is 100 percent fulfilled. We were very satisfied and would love to come back :)

A small, cozy Italian restaurant with a family atmosphere, very friendly service and by far the tastiest pizza I've ever eaten!

Stopped by again and there was another special dish of the day: pizza with salsiccia and cabbage. If you've ever been to Italy, a poem. A delicious wine and a special grappa rounded off the delicious meal. As always, you should bring some time with you, the boss does everything himself. It would just be nice if the tablecloths had a little less stains.

Was a guest at my mother's small celebration. The food was really good (unfortunately the salad we booked was missing), but the service left a lot to be desired. The waitress was unfriendly, constantly grimaced and reacted irritably. It became particularly bold when I complained about the wine spritzer - I ordered a dry white wine spritzer and sweet liquor was served. When I asked for the bottle, I was initially rudely turned away. Only after asking several times did she show me a new, sealed bottle - the wine I received was clearly not the same wine that was first served to me. An absolute no-go! The crowning conclusion: When I later wanted to order a wine spritzer, I was rudely approached with the words: "There's no more!" – a gastronomic host disaster. I've never experienced anything like this before. I wasn't offered an alternative, let alone an apology! The food may have been good, but this service makes you lose your appetite. The waitress is completely out of place in this job. Some hosts (and there are none) have no feeling for people or what it means to be a host. Guests are guaranteed to be scared away. Too bad! By the way - the two sweet fusel wines were actually charged for, unbelievable! My mother paid for it in her defensive way.

I tried several dishes...pasta smelled and tasted unappealing, side bread was hard and old, antipasti wasn't fresh, etc...sorry, but that was nothing, so I won't repeat. Addendum: Yes, I, or rather the four of us, are sure where we were, with you. I've now rated it for all of us together, which might be beneficial for you. I'm sorry, but that's just how it was: bread definitely wasn't fresh, but completely dry, antipasti was dried out, the pasta on the menu was unappealing, the pike-perch sauce was okay...

There was a 5cm long piece of bone in my pizza, with the mushrooms... I mentioned it to the waitress, but she didn't say anything...

Our new favorite Italian restaurant. The quality and taste are superior to anything else in the area. The owner runs his restaurant with love and passion. Despite the sometimes slightly longer wait times, which we're happy to accept, I give the service 5 stars.

The pizza tastes wonderful. The fresh ingredients, the beautifully baked dough and the tomato sauce convinced me. The service was pleasant and attentive. The boss gave us a warm welcome and we felt comfortable.

We ended up here by chance because we were treated very unfriendly in the Ratskeller next door and left. We were warmly welcomed here and had a really delicious meal. Despite being freshly prepared, you don't have to wait long. We'll be back!

The noodles are homemade, the meat is soft like butter and you'll really feel full! The food is cooked in the original Italian way. There is no cream or ham in a carbonara... Many Italians in Alfeld can learn a lesson from this.

We ordered pizza and picked it up. The pizzas were very tasty, not too salty or greasy. The dough baked very tasty.

We went to this trattoria for the first time today by chance. A bit of real Italy in Alfeld......I had the Pizza Romana - The best pizza I have ever eaten. The dough is a dream, the toppings are absolutely great. Definitely a taste explosion. The boss makes the pizza himself... Great experience - We'll be back.

We felt looked after, it was difficult to choose what to eat as the offering was unusually diverse and everything sounded extremely tasty. The prices are pleasantly moderate. It tasted wonderful and we spent a lovely evening on the outside terrace. We will be back!

The best Italian restaurant within 100 km

Waren dort zum Essen eingeladen und ich muss sagen: SUPER ! Die Pizzen vom Teig bis zum Belag richtig richtig lecker. Wir wünschen dieser Bereicherung Alfelds ganz viel Erfolg und immer ein volles Haus. Wir empfehlen zu 100% und kommen gerne wieder. Es sieht so aus als würden wir Stammgäste .......

Salvatore Signorello hat wieder ein Restaurant in Alfeld an der Leine. Vor mehr als 30 Jahren gab es Selinus Pizzeria in der Nähe vom Bahnhof in Alfeld, aber nun gibt es Pizzeria Caffe am Markt in Alfeld. Ihr habt meine beste Empfehlung!

Nettes freundliches Cafe, richtig guten Kuchen, dort sind wir des öfteren schon gerne eingekehrt

Waren heute Eis essen ,der junge Mann war überfordert, gab die Bestellung dann an seine Kollegin. Sie nahm die Bestellung auf ,es kam leider nicht das was best ellt wurde .Keine Sahne da .Der wintergarten dreckig ,die Toiletten auch ,das Geschirr stabelte sich .Dann in jogginghose als Inhaber ( beide jungen Leute ) ,nicht schön .Gebe den beiden nicht lang ,oder es muss sich viel ändern.

Waren zum Muttertags-Frühstück da. Frühstück war sehr lecker, liebevoll angerichtet, reichlich und ließ keine Wünsche offen. Die Inhaber/Mitarbeiter sind symphatisch und freundlich. Kurze Gespräche waren sehr herzlich. Wir haben uns während des Aufenthaltes wohl gefühlt und unser Hund war ebenfalls willkommen. Kann einen dortigen Besuch im Café nur empfehlen!

Das Muttertags-Special war absolut genial! Mit viel Liebe, einem tollen, üppigen Frühstück und einem Geschenk wurden wir Gäste verwöhnt. Das Team war mit sichtlicher Freude bei der Sache und und erfüllte uns jeden Wunsch. Wir kommen wieder!

Haben uns heute Nachmittag dort ein Stück Frankfurter Kranz geholt wo ich mich sehr drauf gefreut habe.... 3.65 € für so ein kleines Stück finde ich sehr teuer. Der Teig war kitschig und die Creme nur fettig,man könnte es nicht mal essen. So ein schlechtes Stück Kuchen habe ich schon lange nicht mehr gegessen.

Nett am Telefon beraten. Leider total verpeilt. Die Hochzeitstorte war nicht fertig, als sie nach einer halben Stunde kam eine lieblos zusammen geklatschte tiefkühl Ware. Nicht zu empfehlen. leider völlig falsche Torte. Schlimmer als TK.

Ein nettes Café. Die Bedienung ist sehr nett und freundlich. Es gibt leckere selbst gemachte Torten. Die Preise sind im normalen Rahmen. Allerdings sollte man am Samstag einen Tisch reservieren. Das Café ist gut besucht.
