Schönes Restaurant mit tollem Ausblick auf den Rhein. Essen ist sehr lecker. Aber der Service ist 'unter aller Sau'. Man muss nachfragen ob man noch ein weiteres Getränk haben möchte, obwohl das alte schon leer ist. Wir waren mit 10 Personen und uns wurden nur 3 Speisekarten gereicht. Als wir dann endlich bestellt hatten, mussten wir 1 Stunde aufs Essen warten. Und es waren kaum Gäste da. In der ganzen Wartezeit wurden wir nicht einmal gefragt ob wir weitere Getränke haben wollten oder ob alles in Ordnung ist.

Direkt am Ufer, freundliche Bedienung, leckeres Essen

29,90 € für diesen Teller. Sorry, aber da passt Preis und Leistung überhaupt nicht zusammen. Das sollte ein Grillteller sein. Preislich völlig überzogen. Die Speisekarte wird mittlerweile fast Monatlich teurer.

Für knapp 50 € für eine Person hatte ich deutlich mehr erwartet. Bestellt wurden ein stilles Wasser, eine Tomaten Suppe mit einen kleinen Stück Baguette, ein Grillteller mit Schweinemedaillon, Hähnchensteak und Rumpsteak sowie als Nachtisch eine kleine Portion Erdbeeren. Während das Schweinemedaillon und das Hähnchensteak in Ordnung waren, war das Rumpsteak leider eine große Enttäuschung. Es war extrem zäh, hart und praktisch ungenießbar. Gerade bei einem Grillteller sollte das Fleisch die Hauptrolle spielen, daher fällt dieser Mangel besonders ins Gewicht. Das Personal war grundsätzlich freundlich und nett. Allerdings wurde meine Kritik am Rumpsteak zwar zur Kenntnis genommen, es gab jedoch weder eine Entschuldigung noch irgendeine Form des Entgegenkommens. Das fand ich bei einem Gericht in dieser Preisklasse enttäuschend. Zusätzlich wurde ich am Ende dazu gedrängt, früher zu bezahlen, da die Bedienung Feierabend machen wollte. Das hat den Gesamteindruck leider weiter verschlechtert. Trotz allem habe ich noch Trinkgeld gegeben. Auch das Ambiente konnte mich nicht überzeugen. Ich saß zwar im Außenbereich, allerdings nicht auf der oberen Terrasse mit Rheinblick, sondern in einem seitlichen Bereich. Die Einrichtung wirkte insgesamt eher schlicht und funktional, mit einfachen Tischen und Stühlen, und konnte für mich keine besondere Atmosphäre schaffen. Insgesamt stimmt für mich das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht. Für 50 € hätte ich sowohl bei der Qualität des Essens als auch beim Umgang mit berechtigter Kritik mehr erwartet. Die Lage am Rhein hat zwar Potenzial, konnte die genannten Mängel für mich jedoch nicht ausgleichen. Daher leider nur 2 von 5 Sternen.

Personal am Anfang unfreundlich

Sind heute hier gewesen wurden an einen nicht fertigen Tisch gesetzt der nicht einmal abgewaschen wurde . Haben 10 min am Tisch gesessen bevor wir gefragt wurden ob wir etwas Trinken wollen . Danach kamen an anderen Tischen weitere Gäste die bedient wurden und auch Speisekarten erhalten haben . Wir erhielten keine . Wir haben unsere Getränke nach weiteren 20 Minuten ausgetrunken (0,4l) . Haben dann die Rechnung bestellt und weitere 10 min gewartet und dann erneut die Rechnung bestellt und dann Nach unserer Meinung nicht Kunden orientiert und nicht freundlich !

Wir waren Pfingstsonntag mit Reservierung da. Es war gut besucht aber nicht voll. Bis das Essen kam, dauerte es 90 Minuten, zwischendurch gab es nichts mehr zu trinken, der Beilagensalat kam erst auf Nachfrage nach dem Essen und die Portionen waren überschaubar. Das Essen selbst war nichts besonderes, der Grillteller klein, der Spargel ok. Insgesamt eine herbe Enttäuschung, wir gehen nicht mehr dorthin.

Das Restaurant ist wirklich schön gelegen mit einem tollen Blick auf den Rhein – die Lage ist kaum zu toppen. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Preise absolut in Ordnung. Leider mussten wir recht lange warten: Bereits für die Bestellung etwa 20 Minuten, und insgesamt kam das Essen erst nach einer Stunde. Das lag vermutlich an einer größeren Gruppe von rund 20 Personen, die reserviert hatte, und dem Feiertag, wodurch es allgemein sehr voll war. Natürlich kann so etwas vorkommen, aber gerade an so einem Tag hätte man besser planen und mehr Personal einsetzen sollen. Daher ziehe ich einen Stern ab. Trotzdem: Ein Besuch lohnt sich – vor allem wegen der Aussicht und dem Essen. Ein Nachtrag: Mittlerweile ist es nicht mehr so gut. Ich finde, es ist Pommebuden Niveau mit teuren Preisen. Ob wohl viele Pommesbuden besser sind. Die Bedienung ist sehr nett und die Aussicht klasse. Schade das die Küche so einen schlechten Beigeschmack hat. Mein Beitrag zum Essen, wurde leider vom Restaurant entfernt. Hier werden nur positive Erfahrungen gewünscht.

Die Pommes waren viel zu salzig. Zwei gute Schnitzel/Burger. Die Atmosphäre war typisch deutsch. Essen und Getränke werden fast sofort serviert. Nach 30 Minuten steht man wieder draußen. An sich in Ordnung.

Heute haben wir die Kommunion unseres Sohnes gefeiert. Von der Vorplanung bis zum Abschluss der Feier haben uns alle Mitarbeiter des Hauses begeistert! Stets freundlich,kommunikativ und hilfsbereit. Waren Muttertag da war es natürlich etwas voller, trotzdem war das Personal mega nett und wir mussten nicht lange auf unser Essen warten. Das Essen war richtig lecker und frisch zubereitet

Einer der schlimmsten Läden überhaupt! Die Aussicht ist zwar schön, aber der Service ist unterirdisch! An einem ruhigen Tag dauerte es 20 Minuten, bis wir die Speisekarte bekamen. Wir bestellten einen Burger ohne Soße, die Bedienung meinte erst, er käme trotzdem mit Soße, und dann hieß es plötzlich, wir hätten nie gesagt, dass wir ohne Soße bestellen würden. Und das Essen dauerte übrigens über 40 Minuten! Geht da bloß nicht hin! Der Service ist unglaublich faul!

Neue Gerichte ausprobiert und wirklich für super empfunden. Es war alles köstlich und der mega nette Kellner hat den Abend noch besser gemacht. Vielen lieben Dank

Was das Essen anbetrifft, leider eine Enttäuschung. Wie schon in vielen anderen Rezensionen berichtet, kamen die Gerichte recht geschmacklos her. Alles ohne Pfiff und einfach hergerichtet. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis passt hier überhaupt nicht. Mein Grillteller war teuer und schlecht.

Essen schmeckt sehr gut aber man wird nicht satt. WC-Anlage stinkt. Stört ein wenig beim Kegeln.

Wir treffen uns seit vielen Jahren mit einer kleinen Gruppe alle zwei Monate im Reuterhof. Zwischenzeitlich gab es viel zu kritisieren, aber seit Herbst/Winter 2025 ist der Service wieder klasse und das Essen echt gut. Weiter so!

Rundum Glücklich. Super netter Service, Lob an den netten Kellner. Eine Super Art und man merkt eracht seine Arbeit gern. In der Küche weiß man auch was es heißt lecker zu kochen und das Ambiente ist einfach Gemütlich. Danke für den schönen leckeren Abend

We went there today for goose dinner with the family. I can only say it was absolutely perfect. Definitely worth recommending.

I had schnitzel with fried potatoes, a fried egg, and salad. It tasted very good, but there could have been a bit more of those delicious fried potatoes. The price was just about okay.

If zero were possible, then zero! An experience you wouldn't wish on anyone. We sat at our table completely ignored for over 30 minutes until we had to find a waiter ourselves. Then another 20 minutes passed before anyone deigned to take our order – and that was just two drinks. We were then served the wrong ones. My husband ordered a Pilsner and received an Alt. I specifically ordered a Radler and received a Pilsner. When I asked about it, the rude reply was, "Then I'll just bring you Sprite." That in itself is disrespectful and unprofessional. But it got even worse: When I insisted on getting the correct drink, the waiter turned away and growled, completely annoyed, "Oh my God, eh..." No apology, no effort, nothing – instead, pure insolence. This kind of behavior towards paying guests is an absolute disgrace! We have rarely felt so badly treated. Hospitality = 0, service = catastrophic, respect = nonexistent. This place definitely doesn't thrive on quality or service; it actually scares customers away. The unpleasant person who calls himself a waiter has absolutely no place in the restaurant industry and should reconsider their career choice. Conclusion: If you just want to order two beers, you've come to the wrong place because they apparently can't manage that. I would throw the waiter out. Unfortunately, an experience like that is unforgettable—but only in a negative sense. Never again Burger Hof Reuterhof!

Very friendly service Tasty, fresh food

Poor quality food, meat especially. Service and location is good but they need a better menu and at least freshly cooked schnitzel! The pork was very fatty and inedible and my son couldn't even eat a basic cheeseburger. I was with my family of 4 and nobody finished their food.

Well-kept restaurant with friendly staff and spectacular views of the Rhine

We chose the large grilled platter with rosemary potatoes. Two people ate it. Both were well-fed, and the food tasted great.

After a relaxing stroll, we ate at the Reuterhof. I opted for the cheeseburger. Upon request, I even got a double portion and a fried egg on top. That speaks volumes about excellent service! The food came quickly, was truly delicious, and to top it off, we had a direct view of the Rhine. This won't be the last time we eat here.

I ate at the Reuterhof Grimlinghausen with my father, and we were absolutely thrilled. The restaurant in Neuss-Grimlinghausen has a new menu that's modern, fresh, and seasonal—exactly what you want these days. I can especially recommend the shashlik skewer: great quality, superbly seasoned, and perfectly prepared. The other dishes were also very tasty and attractively presented. The ambiance at the Reuterhof is inviting and cozy—you immediately feel at home. The service staff was also extremely friendly, attentive, and courteous. A truly wonderful experience—we'll definitely be back. For anyone in Neuss or the surrounding area looking for a restaurant with delicious food and good service: The Reuterhof is highly recommended!

We visited the Reuterhof for the first time and were absolutely thrilled! My husband had the grilled platter – super delicious and perfectly grilled. I had the potato dumplings topped with Mediterranean grilled vegetables – a dream! We really like the concept of German cuisine with Mediterranean influences. The service was warm, attentive, and very professional. We'll definitely be back!

Beautifully located directly on the Rhine with an unobstructed view. Unfortunately, guests don't feel very welcome. The waitress (the boss?) seems to find guests rather annoying, and polite questions are answered rudely. The food (crusty or roast beef) was okay, but nothing special. Any chef should be able to cook a schnitzel. The peach tiramisu was more like a zabaglione, the whole thing was so runny. You can get much better options at discount stores, even if only as a conventional tiramisu. It's a shame; a lot of potential is being wasted here.

The salads and the antipathy seemed to be straight out of a supermarket bag, with standard dressing. The woolly pig shashlik was tough and far from top-quality. On top of that, the prices were very high, and the 55-minute wait was unacceptable.

For drinks and a relaxing break, YES. Food not recommended: simple, boring, and under-seasoned! In short: not a unique selling point! But maybe we just had the wrong food! Service very friendly. For the price, however, we'll find better quality and more modern food elsewhere. Addendum: Ownership recently changed. Perhaps that's why it's gotten worse!?

The location directly on the banks of the Rhine, with views of the river, its banks, and its bridges, was fantastic on the outdoor terrace in the beautiful weather. We only had a drink, but we'll come back and try the food. Many cyclists benefit from the great location directly on the bike path. There are ample parking spaces. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

Finally, a great asparagus dish again! It's really good and delicious here. The food is high-quality and the service is truly excellent. We'll be happy to come back.

Everything takes too long here—ordering, receiving, paying. And the shandy had a maximum of 15% soda, but it should be closer to 30-40%.

Nice atmosphere with a great view of the Rhine. Unfortunately, there was no service after 15 minutes, so we had to leave again - a shame. Especially if you're very hungry, waiting times that long are simply unbearable

There is no indication that the normal menu does not apply at Easter. Neither on the website nor when making a reservation by telephone. So the five of us were forced to order something from the high-priced Easter menu that we didn't actually want. One child was under 12 years old, so an exception was kindly made and he was allowed to have a normal schnitzel with fries. The asparagus wasn't cooked long enough for any of us, the schnitzel could have been pounded thinner, but it was tasty, the potatoes were also good. The sauce didn't seem like it was freshly made. All in all, the first and definitely last visit there. PS.: There was only one alternative restaurant in the surrounding area, we didn't go there because of the Easter menu (which is no secret there).

We have been going to the Reuterhof regularly over the last few years and are always very satisfied. The food is delicious, the service is good and the view is great. It's gotten better and better in recent years. Keep it up!

Due to a traffic jam on the main route, we happened to pass here as an alternative route on our navigation system and because things just weren't going well, we decided, attracted by the beautiful ambience, to have dinner here and wait out the traffic jam. We were lucky and got a table without a reservation and ordered the schnitzel with paprika cream sauce and the chicken steak with fried potatoes. Both were served with a delicious side salad. Both the fries and the fried potatoes, which were fried with bacon, were perfect. Very friendly and attentive service team We felt very, very comfortable and will make a point of coming here next time

Had a meeting, good service despite the high number of people

If you've ever felt the urge to experience culinary adventures with a disaster, then Bürgerhaus Reuterhof is the place for you. As soon as you enter the restaurant you feel a unique atmosphere somewhere scharmat and help I need an escape plan. Operation: The waitress was as motivated as a cat walking in the rain. You looked for friendliness here in vain, but at least it was impressive how they managed to hold out for so long with so little interest. Between the occasional annoyed looks and the almost artistic ignoring of the guests, I had enough time to marvel at the aging interior. Eat: The menu reads like an exciting crime novel where you are never sure which ending awaits you. I chose “schnitzel with pepper sauce” and I was definitely surprised - but not in a good way. My dish was more reminiscent of a modern interpreted still life than anything edible. I was sure I intended to fry the schnitzel through to test the teeth. There was also a generous portion of fries... if you want to describe "well-stocked handful" as generous. At least they were warm. The salad was a tired affair, more reminiscent of 70s side dishes than fresh fare. Conclusion: If you fancy culinary disappointments, unmotivated staff and are happy with paying a lot of money, you should definitely visit the Reuterhof. For everyone else: There are certainly better alternatives - even the snack bar around the corner could shine here!

Booked a table for 7 people. Took 30minutes to get a drink and then got one order wrong. Then had to wait to order food. Some dishes arrive about 30minutes later. One dish had a side salad which arrived after the main meal had been eaten. One order had not arrived even though everybody else had eaten their meal despite being promised it would arrive in 2 to 3 minutes. After 2 hours we left. The worst service I have ever experienced eating out. A pity because the food itself was OK.

Unfortunately we didn't have any positive experiences here, on the contrary. We thought that if the weather was nice, lunch close to the Rhine would be nice, but unfortunately we didn't get a chance here. After sitting outside for 20 minutes, there was no service, after asking nicely inside at the counter, the service finally came out. Drinks picked up and disappeared again. After another 10 minutes our drinks arrived, we wanted to order our food, then you said that it would take a little longer. After asking how long approximately, the answer was that you had to plan a good hour because there was so much to do. We looked around and asked, so much to do with only 9 tables occupied? Yes, that would be the case. The older couple next to us also said that they had been waiting an hour and a half for their food and that they slowly didn't want it anymore. After sitting there for another 15 minutes to finish our drinks, we notice that the waitress of the older couple forgot to type in the order and so if they still want the food, they have to wait another 30 minutes. It's only worth going here if you have a lot of time and ideally without children. In a restaurant that is already overwhelmed with 9 occupied tables between 2 and 4 people, that can't be a good thing.

It's very nice outside with a wonderful view of the Rhine. The food is German-style, tasty and not overpriced. The staff is also nice, but unfortunately not enough for nice summer days. You have to be a little patient and considerate then it will be a nice visit to the Reuterhof.

Just what you need for a cozy end to a busy week. Authentic pub with delicious food and very friendly service!

Been there several times this year. Unfortunately, only the location and the view are convincing. As has been criticized in other reviews, the service is sometimes quite unfriendly, rude and overwhelmed by small things. Unfortunately, the food is more of a canteen level.

The food was very good. We were able to sit comfortably outside.

Schönes Ambiente, direkt am Rhein. Völlig überfordertes Personal, nicht nur bei uns am Tisch. Sehr langes Warten auf die Aufnahme einer Bestellung, dabei nur übersichtlich besucht. Wir wollten gerne ein kleines Pils und ein kleines Weizen trinken. Draußen gibt’s es nur große Getränke! Wir saßen gefühlt 5 Meter vom Innenraum entfernt. Auf meine Frage warum die Gäste an einem anderen Tisch (draußen )kleine Getränke hätten, kam die Antwort: Das sind Stammgäste, die trinken das schon seit zwanzig Jahren! Bitte? Gut, dann eben keine neuen Stammgäste! Die Pfanne mit Schweinefilet war sehr überschaubar… wir kommen nicht wieder!

We were scheduled to have dinner at the Reuterhof community center and had reserved a table on the terrace with a view of the Rhine. We were able to enjoy our first drinks and the beginning of our meal outside before the downpour started and we moved inside. There were three of us and we had the baked potato with chicken breast strips, the crust with fried potatoes and a fried egg and the pork medallions. The three were delivered quickly and tasted very good. The Bolten Alt was cool and crisp. The service was extremely friendly, humorous and fun to have. We'd love to come back.

Unfortunately the staff is extremely unfriendly and rude. Lipstick on the glass, the food doesn't come until you ask for cutlery and you're bluffed. The food was quite OK. The furniture is getting old. Don't have to have that again
