Excellent cuisine with a lovely atmosphere, highly recommended. Everything very fresh and crunchy. The service is very accommodating. The selection of food is really sufficient, especially the sushi selection is great, so there is something for everyone.

A really cozy restaurant. The food is delicious and served attractively. Price/performance is excellent. The staff are very friendly. It makes sense to reserve a table as the restaurant is very busy. If I'm in town again, I'll be happy to come back.

Four of us had dinner and were thrilled. Both the vegetarians among us and the others got their money's worth with the diverse selection. I can especially recommend the red curry with crunchy tofu and the homemade drinks. Unfortunately I'm not from close by, otherwise I would pay regular visits to Buddha Kitchen. Reservations are recommended as the restaurant seems to be very popular.

Absolutely underground service: We had made a reservation for 8:30 p.m. yesterday and were there at 8:25 p.m. Together with other guests who had reservations, we waited outside in the cold at -3 degrees after being told to wait. Since there were two of us and there was even a small table for two at the entrance, this was a bit incomprehensible. Nobody came out until 8:45 p.m. and said how much longer we had to wait. After I went in at 8:45 p.m. and said that the restaurant could pass on our table because we couldn't wait any longer in the cold, they said that the table was just being prepared, that there was a lot going on and other guests like that take a long time (!). The only strange thing is that on our last visit we were literally urged not to overstay a minute, as the order of the mochi ice cream was probably too much to ask for and we were charged while there was still something on the table. Don't get me wrong, the sushi is good, but compared to these two bad experiences, it's not worth the (quite a lot) of money and especially the extra price compared to other restaurants. Clear information would have been enough to bridge the waiting time, and a warm tea or something similar would have been a plus. In any case, you have lost us as guests. If you don't value the presentation and the show with the dry ice, but only value good sushi, we recommend an alternative not far on the Ulm side.

The food was good (and not cheap), but the stay was very cold and uncomfortable. The highlight was when, during our lunch, the door was cleaned extensively for minutes - and the outside temperature was +2 degrees. We sat less than 3 meters from the door and therefore didn't stay a minute longer than necessary.

I used to enjoy eating here or ordering take-out. Since my last stay here it hasn't been quite the same. Last time we were seated at a table next to the door by an arrogant blonde, where it was like pike soup (the restaurant was almost empty). You could also tell that the lady wasn't particularly interested. Now we ate here again, and it was still delicious. The prices have risen and risen steeply. The portions, on the other hand, have almost halved. If I hadn't eaten a crepe at the Christmas market afterwards, I wouldn't have stayed full for long. Given the prices and portions, I'd rather cook my Pho myself in the future. Unfortunately, the blonde waitress is still there, conceited and arrogant and acts as if she is a supermodel on the catwalk.

The food was generally very tasty, we had a veggie starter plate and sushi as the main course. Really great selection, beautifully presented and freshly prepared, tasteful. The staff was very quick, but a bit overambitious. The waitress basically stood next to the table and waited to take the plates away, even if we weren't finished yet. We were there on a Saturday from 6 p.m. and of course it is clear that there is greater demand. But if you eat there with several people and pay over €100 as a couple with a starter, main course and a dessert, it's a real shame to be complimented after exactly 1.5 hours with the justification: the next reservation is already waiting. This takes away some of the charm from the food, which is actually good and not entirely cheap. What a shame!

Spontaneously looked for an alternative when the Glacies Gallery was hopelessly overcrowded. Thanks to Google we ended up here and were pleasantly surprised. A pleasant, quiet restaurant, remarkably friendly service and excellent sushi, very attractively decorated. Unfortunately, the only thing that wasn't available that day was the dessert, Buddah Lava or something similar. All in all, absolutely recommended.

Yesterday we visited the Buddha Kitchen and were unfortunately very disappointed. The prices are far too high for what is offered. We had to wait over an hour for our food while the boss just stood by, giving orders and making unpleasant comments to the staff. It's a real shame that you don't get the appropriate quality at these prices. One of the nicest things about our stay was the service staff, who were friendly and accommodating. Overall, however, a disappointing experience that absolutely did not live up to the high expectations.

A small restaurant with a nice atmosphere, delicious food and a really courteous, friendly staff. We have a dog that always goes everywhere with us. Even for her, people asked if she needed a bowl of water. All I can say is all thumbs up.

Best restaurant for sushi and Asian food in Ulm / Neu-Ulm

Great restaurant. The food is first class and has A1 quality and is very fresh. It is also prepared differently every time so it doesn't get boring. The atmosphere is also good, you can even sit outside in summer and the staff is nice. It is highly recommended, but not for those on a budget. However, a reservation is recommended because it is always very crowded. Come again.

Very nice and authentic Asian restaurant. A huge selection of dishes. The dishes are prepared to a very high standard and taste delicious. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Attention, payments are possible either in cash or with EC card, not with credit cards (debit or credit)!

July 24, 2024: Unfortunately, I have to change my 5-star review after a few years. The paint is off... I sat in front of an empty glass for more than an hour, wanted to pay for 20 minutes and no one even looked at me, despite waving. And in terms of personnel it would have been easily possible. People just preferred to fool around behind the counter. Ok, it can happen. But since the beginning they have had a problem with their sanitary facilities here. Today it was really disgusting, like a train station toilet. A urinal was blocked with tape - again/still - one was peed on (the drain didn't work) and the floor was full of urine. Simply disgusting! And then charge 9.50 EUR for 3 mochis... In general, the price has risen exorbitantly, but the value in return for food has remained the same and the rest has noticeably suffered. Original review: A trendy restaurant in Neu-Ulm - especially the sushi is like something from another planet!

I would particularly like to highlight the creativity and diversity of the offering - there are both classic and innovative creations that will delight every sushi lover. In summary, Buddha Kitchen not only offers excellent sushi, but also service that makes the visit an all-round successful experience. Update: We were there recently for the 5th time now; something has changed in the way they cook. The udon was extremely salty, the lemon ginger tea was super sour. The food was very good, but I didn't like the fact that the restaurant accepts only cash as a mean of payment. This can be highly inconvenient. Hopefully next time paying with card will also be an option.

But what bothered us most was the timing: it seems to be exactly how long you can sit at the table before the next guests arrive. Sorry, but when I go to a restaurant I don't want to feel like I'm on an assembly line! The food itself is really beautifully prepared, but the taste is not above average.

The two of us had two good homemade iced teas, a delicious starter platter for 2 people (around 20 euros), and 8 special sushi creations each. Were very tasty. Which cost around 16-17 euros each. Unfortunately, the sushi pieces of the type in the front area of ​​the picture were difficult to pick up with chopsticks because they always fell apart. Service was very satisfactory and often asked us about our well-being. It wasn't that busy yet, arrived around 5:15 p.m. So it's pretty easy :) Our bill with tip was 73 euros. Visa card is not accepted, but the EC card is an alternative. There are no parking spaces, but you can find them in the surrounding area.

The only thing worth praising today was the kitchen, which once again conjured up an excellent meal. However, at very high prices. Very good, but also very expensive. The sushi is excellent and overall there is nothing wrong with the quality, taste and friendliness. I also understand that you sometimes pay €30 for sushi. But I think around €23 for a rice dish is a lot. The drinks are also not cheap at around €8. Definitely a restaurant for a special evening.

The food still tastes good. Unfortunately, the portions are getting smaller and more expensive. The service tries to be superficially nice. The slots of 1.5 hours are far too short to be able to eat comfortably. You sit close together because it feels like a new table is squeezed in somewhere every time you visit. A pity!
