Best restaurant I have visited in a long time. Five stars are still not enough

Lunch was super tasty at absolutely good prices.

The Brunnenklause is an absolute disappointment. The food was bland and carelessly prepared, the portions tiny. The service was unfriendly and we had to wait forever for our food. The atmosphere is anything but inviting, it seems old and unkempt. I would have expected much more for the prices. Definitely not recommended!

Modern cuisine with class: Riesling rooster with mushrooms with tagliatelle, grilled chicken with aromatic mushroom sauce, the tarragon was discreetly placed in the side salad, delicious meal in a modern ambience with an authentic wine list. Only recommended!

Nice wine bar/restaurant with a cozy outdoor area. Despite not having a table reservation, we were warmly welcomed and served in a friendly manner.

We sat outside in the evening. Very nice atmosphere - very friendly, helpful staff. On the first evening the food was great! On the second evening, the meat was unfortunately far from cooked (hence only 4 stars), but this was immediately changed with a friendly apology when a complaint was made. The restaurant is highly recommended.

It's been a long time since I've had such a good sauerbraten, wow... I got a very good wine recommendation, even the rain couldn't spoil the ambience, I sat dry under the umbrella and ate it deliciously... highly recommended by us 👍

Were there for lunch. Outside. Service friendly and quick. Food: Ox cheeks with vegetables (artichokes and mushrooms). Tasty, but the chef seems to be in love... neutralized again with delicious Riesling.

Food was ok, children only wanted schnitzel with fried potatoes, but according to the service they had to have asparagus (according to the menu) (brings more money :-)) and annoyingly there was also €1.50 on the bill for what was supposed to be Changed the order (wine was delivered wrong, not ordered wrong!) So we tipped €13.50 instead of €12, and on the next trip to Winningen, we'll try a different restaurant! You can annoy your guests with little things, Germany and its services... If you understand it€€€

Very nice restaurant, very good value for money. A very large selection of wines. Food quality is very good, everything is fresh and very tasty. We will be back.

This is highly recommended. Pleasant ride next to the Moselle by bike to the village of Winningen. Stumbled upon this restaurant and took a seat immediately. Both the service and the food & atmosphere were great! We had the menu and must say that the beetroot carpaccio combined with the smoked trout tartare was the standout! I was also very pleased with the wiener schnitzel with hollandaise sauce & asparagus. In short, if you are in the area and would like good food combined with top service, then definitely drop in! Restaurants like this make me happy!

Good restaurant in a central location in a charming wine town on the Lower Moselle.

I like a traditional German restaurant, that serves traditional (local) dishes. Usually the interior is also traditional with a lot of dark (wooden) elements. In this case I found it very relaxing to enter a modern, light (not bright) coloured and modern restaurant. The food, though, is still traditional and very good, but not per se the typical dishes that you can find in just any German restaurant. More local specialities. So if you are looking for good local food in a relaxed environment, this is the place to go! I almost forgot to mention that they serve excellent (once again local) wines to pair with the food. It is a Weinstube after all 🙂 We had a main coarse plus drink, which cost us €60,- in total for 2 people.

Very tasty food, very good service and you can sit romantically in the beautiful alley outside.

We stopped here for lunch on the way back home from our road trip. Delicious homemade food! Goulash soup and potato pancakes were a perfect combination and apple strudel was to die for! I was considering ordering a second piece but my husband stoped me ;)) Our server was super nice and recommended to try some local wine which we were very happy with!

Incredibly delicious, seasonal and local dishes, excellent and very friendly service. The rustic, but newly renovated and modern ambience suffers somewhat from the lighting that is too bright for my taste and the poor acoustics. Overall, an absolute recommendation in the region.

Sehr lecker, gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis & nettes Personal. Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 35 Personen dort und allen hat es sehr gut geschmeckt. Auch die Kommunikation im Vorfeld war sehr nett! Absolute Empfehlung!!!

This is a small gem in Winningen. The English speaking staff was so nice and friendly, the wine card is very rich and the food and meat is really good. If you like soup, I highly recommend the Goulash soup as your entrée. It's out of this world! Best I ever had. I highly recommend Winstube Restaurant Brunnenklause. One tiny point of criticism: The lights in the otherwise very nice interior are very bright. It's nitpicking and no big issue, but if they would turn it down just a bit, the whole thing would be perfect. German cuisine at its best! Enjoy!

Sehr gute Speisen und Getränke, der Wein, aber interessanterweise auch der Espresso war wunderbar lecker, die Speisen ein Gedicht, Der Service unbeschreiblich super nett, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Der Besuch hier hat uns einen richtig schönen Urlaubstag beschert. Vielen lieben Dank!!

Das Essen war wieder super lecker, es stehen viele interessante Gerichte auf der Karte, so das mir die Entscheidung nicht leicht gefallen ist. Ich werde auf alle Fälle wiederkommen um den Rest auch noch zu probieren.😍 Die Bedienungen sind alle sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Leider hat es bei uns geregnet, aber durch die großen Schirme, stört selbst das nicht, so das man trotzdem gemütlich draußen sitzen kann. Ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen

Eine tolle und sehr umfangreiche Weinkarte auch mit offenen Weinen. Dazu einen Käseteller mit Baguette draußen unter einem der Sonnenschirme, ein perfekter Tag.

Ein schönes Restaurant! KEINE Touristenabfertigung!!!!!! Tolle Saisonkarte! Empfehlenswert ist gefüllte Süsskartoffel mit Pfifferlingen und Kirschtomaten und dazu eine gegrillte Wassermelone ! Preis-Leistung völlig in Ordnung! Der Koch geht auf jeden Wunsch ein ( da ich Allergiker bin) . Es werden tolle Moselweine aus der Region angeboten ! Super -Laden !

Heerlijk gegeten, vriendelijke bediening

Juni '23. Einige Wochen zuvor reserviert, konnten wir mit 6 Personen auf der Durchreise bei bestem Wetter draußen zu Mittag essen. Speisen, Getränke und Service sehr gut. Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.

Wir waren schon mehrmals vor Ort und jedesmal freundlich bedient worden. Der Wein war genauso hervorragend wie das Essen. Immer wieder gerne!

Sehr schönes Ambiente direkt an einem kleinen Platz mit Brunnen. Vor allem bei gutem Wetter sollte man sich nach draußen setzen. Eine Reservierung ist aufgrund der großen Beliebtheit empfehlenswert! Ganz hervorragend schmecken hier die Kalbschnitzel und auch der saisonale Spargel war top!

Wir sind regelmäßige Gäste der Brunnenklause. Das Essen ist hervorgegangen und die Weinkarte sehr abwechslungsreich. Durch das gute Preis-Leistungsverhältnis und die gastfreundlichen Bedingungen zieht es uns immer wieder hin. Die wechselnde Saisonkarte ist ein Probieren wert, was oftmals für eine kulinarische Überraschung sorgt.
