Five stars considering it's a fast food joint. The decor is relatively new, card payments are accepted, the fries could be thicker, but the overall concept is good! They used to have more green seasoning on the meat, which was really good.

The Brückengrill in Essen-Werden is simply first-class! In my opinion, they have the best gyros for miles around – juicy, perfectly seasoned, and always freshly prepared. Plus, crispy fries and delicious side dishes that go perfectly with the gyros. The team is friendly, the portions are generous, and the value for money is absolutely fantastic. You can immediately tell that the food here is made with passion. ➡️ Conclusion: If you love gyros, you can't go past Brückengrill – absolutely recommended!

I have to share a review, even though I don't do this often. The Brückengrill is an institution in Werden, with the best gyro pita in Essen! Back in the 80s, my friends and I would ride our racing bikes from Burgaltendorf via Byfang and Kupferdreh to Werden to eat the gyro pita. On the banks of the Ruhr! It cost 5 marks back then, and you got a huge gyro pita for that. Just like today. Of course, the prices aren't the same anymore (€7.50), but the quality and service have remained the same. Highly recommended!

I paid €12 for a gyro pizza with onions and tzatziki and fries with hunter's sauce, which is what I would normally pay in a restaurant!!

Hooray, hooray, the Brückengrill is back!!! I happened to notice today that the Brückengrill has reopened with the same staff. The food is still delicious as always, and the showroom has been modernized. The reunion was a great joy for both parties. I wish the team continued success and "good business." 🍀👍🙋‍♂️

Been coming here for 30 years and it is by far the best Gyros Pita in town. Just try it, it's worth it.

Great chip shop by the bridge in Essen-Werden with classic dishes. You're treated very friendly, and even the waiting times, even when it's busy, are quite acceptable. The quality here has been consistent for decades.

Maybe people need to rethink the rest of their diet instead of letting out their frustration here ;). I really can't understand the negative comments here at all. People people prices have been raised again 🫢 and portions are getting smaller and smaller !!!!Jaeger meatball without everything €6.50 😂 Bratwurst €4 Gyros plate €15.50…. If you leave your money there, it's your own fault 🤪Go over to the competition and you'll get something for your money!!!!! I also find the prices to be way too overpriced. It increases every few weeks. Eating in a small snack bar is no longer fun. For that money I can sit down in a restaurant and not have to eat outside at a bar table. Been a customer for years but the prices are no longer justified. I am super shocked and completely stunned by this price increase!!!!!!!!!!

With the best will in the world, I can't understand anyone who thinks this grill is great and gives a good rating here. That was the worst gyro I've had in a long, long time. The wobbly pieces I had put aside easily made up half of the meat. The pieces that were ok didn't taste like anything and the tzatziki was average at best. Fries were barely done. Very fickle. There are completely different Greek snack bars in Essen that are also significantly cheaper. Portion size was OK. I still like the snack bar character.

The taxi plate is excellent and if you order it to take away, you have an excellent view of the Ruhr while eating it.

Had Jägerwurst with fries. The worst I've ever eaten. Came back up after three hours. Almost a case for the public order office. I don't understand how the good reviews come about here? Probably due to the gyro.

It's exactly as you'd imagine, a really fragrant Greek snack bar! And of course there is also the classic, the taxi plate, which I can recommend without hesitation. The gyros pita is also good. The grill is not far from the local train station and various bus stops. There are bar tables outside and a few high chairs inside for seating. The waitresses are friendly and quick. Gladly again and beware of the risk of addiction. A great place for good gyros!

The shop is a bit sober, just a snack bar. But very friendly service and an extremely good gyros plate. The meat is lean, crispy and juicy. The fries are crispy and the portions are generous. A filler for little money. Always my pleasure.

I was last there with my wife and Aris served us. Very friendly service and the food is great! The shish kebab was perfectly prepared. Recommendation! When a customer ordered a kebab, the answer was: kebab makes it nicer, but gyros is against viruses. There was something to laugh about for free... 👍

Best gyros I have ever eaten, the currywurst is also highly recommended.

This was honestly the worst currywurst I've eaten in a long time. Completely tasteless, oily cheap sausage bathed in sufficiently sour sauce (no curry) with equally tasteless unsalted fries. The colleagues found the gyros delicious.

Mein Lieblingsgrill schon zu Schulzeiten gewesen … Es gibt sehr viele Imbisse in Essen und Umgebung. Viele Griechen und viel Gyros … allerdings schmeckt es hier einfach am allerbesten. Nette Inhaber, stets freundlich und mit einem Lächeln auf den Lippen. Dazu dann noch ein frisches Stauder-Pils, und der Tag ist gerettet! Absolut zu empfehlen …

Kleiner Imbiss... ....eine Empfehlung: "Die Gyros-Pita !"

Hier ist das Personal sehr freundlich und bemüht. Die Speisen sind zum Teil ganz lecker. Die Portionen sind groß genug zum satt werden. Man kann hier auch draußen essen und hat eine ganz schöne Aussicht.

Das Essen und der Preis ist mega das einzige was man verbessern könnte sind die sitzmöglichkeiten

Die spinnen langsam mit ihren Preisen. Ich kenne griechische Restaurants, wo man für einen Gyrosteller nicht mehr bezahlt und Qualität und Ambiente erheblich besser ist. Man bedenke, dass der Brückengrill nur ein kleiner Imbiss ist!!! Ich gehe nicht mehr hin. Wucher!

Unsere Anlaufstelle in Werden! Das Personal ist total freundlich, alles wird zügig zubereitet. Die Zutaten sehen frisch aus, der Arbeitsplatz ist ordentlich und sauber und das Essen schmeckt einfach gut!

Sind früher da öfters gewesen und waren zufrieden. Jetzt die letzten Male doch eher enttäuschend. Erstmal der massive Preisanstieg. Ja, ich weiß. Ohne diesen Anstieg, müsste er höchstwahrscheinlich bald zu machen. Aber in meinen Augen einfach zu teuer für zum Beispiel eine Gyros Pita. Dafür würde ich nicht mehr kommen. Dann muss ich leider sagen, ist die Qualität des Fleisches schlechter. Keine Ahnung, ob sie einen neuen Metzger oder lieferanten haben, aber war ungenießbar für mich. Das zweite Mal schon. Werden leider nicht mehr wieder kommen. Obwohl wir da gerne einen Stop nach den Spaziergang gemacht haben.

Wir sind seit einigen Jahren immer wieder Gast in diesem kleinen unscheinbaren Imbiss und sind noch nie Enttäuscht worden!! Gyros und Co sind immer wieder lecker. Die Teller sind voll und das insgesamte Personal Nett, Freundlich und Sympathisch!! Immer gerne wieder!!

Ein besseres Gyros kann man im ganzen Ruhrgebiet nicht finden. Für den Brückengrill nimmt man auch gerne eine weitere Anreise in Kauf.

Sehr nette Leute. Das selbstgemachte Gyros ist halt Kult. Die selbstgemachten Frikadellen sind ebenfalls sensationell.

Es gab leckeres Gyros. Bedienung ist sehr freundlich. Preis ist angemessen.

Wir gehen schon Jahre dort hin und sind vom Essen und Geschmack noch nie enttäuscht worden. Es war immer sehr lecker.

Bei Gyros Pita ist der Brückengrill einfach unschlagbar. Dafür lohnt sich die Anfahrt immer.

Das Essen war gut. Für eine kleine Flasche Wasser 2,20 Euro zu verlangen, finde ich nicht so toll.

Currywurst mit Fritten im Brückengrill Essen- Werden geht immer.

Von außen kein Highlight. Aber man kann sich täuschen. Das Essen ist sehr lecker, das Gyros ist von sehr guter Qualität, die Pommes schmecken, die Currywurst ist lecker und die Currysauce hat die richtige Schärfe. Preis-Leistung sind sehr gut, die Portionen sind echt groß für wenig Geld. Sehr empfehlenswert. Allerdings gibt es kein Besteck wenn man das Essen mitnehmen möchte, nur die üblichen Pommesgabeln und Gyros damit zu essen ist ein kleines Geduldspiel.

Essen kann man wo man will, nur nicht so gut wie beim Brückengrill.

Wer super Qualität möchte und typische Curry Wurst im Ruhrgebiet will, ist hier genau richtig. Danke, dass ihr trotz und während Corona eure Qualität behalten habt, das ist nicht selbstverständlich!

Für mich die beste Gyrosbude in Essen. Ich habe bis jetzt in keiner Gyrosbude so einen großen Gyrosspieß gesehen wie hier. Es ist immer sehr lecker und eine ordentliche Portion.

Bester griechischer Imbiss, den ich in der Umgebung kenne. Der Drehspieß ist kein TK-Spieß, sondern wird selbst bestückt und das schmeckt man auch. Ich bin hier immer wieder gerne. Am liebsten 10/10 Sternen. ;-)

Die beste pommes in komplett Essen. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

Beim besten Willen kann ich mit nicht die Bewertungen hier erklären. Das Essen schmeckt einfach mittelmäißig oder unter mittelmäßig. Extrem auf den "deutschen Erwartungen" angepasst, was kaum noch was mit griechische Küche zu tun hat. Ich war zwei drei mal da aufgrund meiner Faulheit, weiter zu einem richrigen Griechen zu fahren, und habe es im nachhinein immer wieder bereut. Also wer gerne gutes griechisches Essen haben will, sollte diesen Laden meiden.
