Brücke 10 in Hamburg

Great view of the harbor, a sad sight on the plate. Unfortunately, I don't understand the recommendations at all, especially for tourists who want to eat an authentic fish sandwich, which is supposed to be a real highlight. The location is great, but you pay for it. The sandwich was dry, no lettuce, no garnish of any kind, and just a tiny blob of tartar sauce. Unfortunately, we only had mushy fried fish that was tasteless on a dry sandwich. We won't be coming back, even though we were so happy, and the line was surprisingly long.

A cult place for lovers of that very Hamburg fish bun. The service is clear, but not very friendly, at least during the shift when we were there. But I definitely recommend this place for tourists to the city.

It was another visit to the snack bar "Brücke 10" with a crispy, favorite roll with Bismarck herring and a "Kiezmische" (a typical German dish). "Brücke 10 'The Fish Sandwich Stand'" at the St. Pauli Landungsbrücken, Brücke 10, has reopened after renovations. I took advantage of this opportunity and ordered a delicious, crispy roll with Bismarck herring. The service team was very friendly and attentive.

Worst service I've ever experienced! They don't understand German and are incredibly unfriendly. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone!

We tried a variety of fish sandwiches, and the fish cakes were the most delicious. Unfortunately, our son didn't like them as much. Big plus for the atmosphere, minus for the dirty tables.

Here you can enjoy a decent fish sandwich right on the pier. Crab sandwiches go for €15, although others are cheaper, of course. You can sit inside or outside, all self-service. There are also a few tables inside for larger groups.

Friendly, worth seeing, super tasty, and comfortable seating. We even went back twice in a very short space of time because we enjoyed it so much.

What can I say? They're simply the best, freshest, and tastiest fish sandwiches ever!

I bought a mackerel roll. Two plump mackerel fillets wrapped like rollmops on a roll. It was simply fantastic! Unfortunately, mackerel isn't available everywhere, so I was all the more pleased to snag the last roll. The service was very friendly, and I really liked the location and decor.

We came from the city center to try this fish sandwich. If the weather is nice, it's a very pleasant place. You can sit and enjoy a delicious fish sandwich while enjoying the view. Prices are reasonable; fish sandwiches cost around 5.5 Euros, and drinks range from 4-6 Euros. If you're looking for fish sandwich in Hamburg, I highly recommend it.

A must-have for every visit to the Landungsbrücken. I like the pollock schnitzel and fried herring the best.

A nice little shop at the end of the Landungsbrücken (piers). The rolls are prepared without any frills (no salad garnish). We found them delicious.

I'd always recommend it. The fried fish was a disappointment, unfortunately. Cold, small, and served in a mediocre sandwich. The other fish sandwiches were definitely much better and of higher quality. The service was very friendly.

Super delicious! We had the smoked mackerel, herring, and crab sandwiches, and they were all delicious. The staff are super friendly and patient. The atmosphere is great, and you have a fantastic view of the Elbe.

This used to be an incredible insider tip. We always went here with guests to eat fish sandwiches. We're still satisfied with the service and ambiance. However, the fish sandwiches have deteriorated considerably, especially the rolls. As other comments have mentioned, they're just tasteless pre-baked rolls. It used to be better. And no, even if they're pre-baked on site... they're tasteless pre-baked rolls. The rolls used to be delicious, too. The fish is still good.

Unfortunately, it's no longer what it used to be. Here, you can see that the quality has unfortunately declined with the expansion. Service upstairs on the sun deck was friendly but abysmally slow. This was made worse by the long breaks while guests were waiting in line. That's really not possible, especially when there are two of you. Service downstairs sends you upstairs because they serve Alsterwasser on tap. But upstairs, it says "unfortunately not available today." No longer recommended. WHAT A PITY...

Unfortunately, this is a disappointment if you're looking for a good fish sandwich. The Mattjes itself was good, but the sandwich itself was a dry, tasteless, cheap pre-baked sandwich that ruined the whole experience. Not recommended!

There was a separate takeaway kiosk that was super helpful in avoiding the long queue for a dine-in table. Hot but windy place so many choose to wait to sit under some shade. There’s some seating area above it as well under some umbrellas. Worth a try from the takeaway kiosk — the smoked fish was delicious with the right level of saltiness and fishiness (little)!

Today I ate the crab roll here and it was good and there was a lot of it. Tomorrow I'll try a normal fish roll.

July 12, 2025. Praised as the best fish sandwich stand on the Landungsbrücken. Self-service. Paying by card with a smartphone is super fast. I had a really good meal here at a fair price. However, I don't have a comparison with similar restaurants.

€15 for a simple Nordseekrabben Brötchen, served with the contempt of a crowded fast-food restaurant. The taste is decent, but nothing that justifies the price or the attitude. Avoid: Hamburg has much better to offer if you want to experience a real fish brötchen with a smile.

There are many delicious fish and bread varieties available. Prices are reasonable compared to other fast food restaurants.

The fried fish wasn't that special, so I don't really understand the reviews. My wife, however, liked the Bismarck roll. The prices are reasonable (about €6 for the fried fish and €5 for the Bismarck). Accordingly, it's a 3/5.

An absolute must if you're in Hamburg and want to enjoy a fish sandwich and cold drinks in a prime location! The staff is consistently more than friendly; you just feel at home!

It's a nice fish restaurant. The ambiance is pleasant and cozy. The service is very friendly and helpful. The value for money is excellent, and the food was truly delicious. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to Hamburg and highly recommend it.

Brücke 10 – a must-visit when visiting Hamburg. We also came here in search of the best fish sandwich. The herring was good, with plenty of onions, and the roll was a rather dry, baked roll. I think they could score even higher with really good, homemade bread...but still, for a quick stop and a first impression of Hamburg, it's the perfect place!

I wanted to try a crab sandwich. €15 for a hard roll with crab and a thin layer of mayo? I'd dreamed of a decent roll (as if there weren't a good bakery in Hamburg) 🤦🏼‍♂️ Okay, but at least a lettuce leaf and a hint of some kind of onion? Unfortunately, nothing, neither, and so for me personally, it was a complete waste of time. My boyfriend got a fish sandwich next door at Hafenqirtschaft for €4.50. It had everything I could have dreamed of on it, and he was absolutely thrilled.

The fish is generally good, and the beers are not bad either. It's a place I'd choose again. 2 fish and 2 beers cost around 30 Euros.

Whenever I'm in Hamburg, a crab sandwich at Brücke 10 is always a must. This time, however, I wasn't entirely impressed. If I'm paying €15 for a crab sandwich, why can't I at least get a roll that's better quality than a frozen pre-baked roll? Margin or no margin, the overall package has to be good, even if the product is fish. The atmosphere is great as always, but the service is rather unmotivated. Eurovita does a much better job, and I get significantly more for €28. It's a shame.

As a newcomer to Hamburg, this "shop" was recommended to me by friends. "If you want a fish sandwich, go to Brücke 10! They have the best ones there!" Unfortunately, I have no comparison; after the first time, I only ate my fish sandwich there! The lady at the counter was super friendly and very patient with questions about the different sandwiches. The sandwich itself was delicious: crispy roll, tasty fish, and fresh onions! Combined with the view of the water, it was a fantastic experience!

Tried it on the recommendation of a friend. Unfortunately, the young lady was completely unmotivated. At first, I stood at the counter without being served. When the waitress finally awoke from her lethargy, she went to the back for every single drink order, and the line of customers slowly grew longer and longer. Then the fish sandwiches were slapped down on the counter. Well, at least the fish sandwiches tasted okay.

It's definitely worth making the trip to Bridge 10 and not stopping any earlier. Everything is delicious, the atmosphere is nice, and it's not too crowded with tourists. Self-service is also available!

It was amazing! My friend spilled some wine, but it was still worth a visit. The rolls were incredibly delicious - I highly recommend it! I'll be back again. Parking is limited. But a boat stops right outside.

Always happy to go there. Great location, and you can enjoy the view with a Kiezmische (a local beer) and a Krabbe Akut (a spicy crab). Unfortunately, once again, the rolls are just not that great. It's not bad being overcooked, but they're just way too hard and dry. You couldn't enjoy them. You'll have to get them ;)

Too bad that wasn't good. The rolls were rock hard, as if they'd been reheated three times. The herring was completely dry, and the topping was just a few onion rings. We come from the North Sea coast and are used to something different there.

We arrived here, looking forward to a delicious fish sandwich by the harbor. What we found, however, was the exact opposite. The service was unfriendly and incompetent. Their German was also very limited. We were served cheap pre-baked rolls with tons of boneless fish. After politely asking if they had fries, we were rudely told that they would depend on the number of customers. The tables were very dirty, and there were still dishes left over from previous guests, which hadn't been cleared away (photo below). Overall, this visit was a complete disaster.

We ate fried fish sandwiches here. The rolls looked like pre-baked rolls and were quite hard, making them inedible. Additionally, the staff was unfriendly and slow. I wouldn't go there again.

I can't understand the good reviews. This was the worst fish sandwich I've had in the north. And there were a few. :-) The fried fish was ice cold, and the sandwich was so hard that even the pigeons wouldn't eat it.

We recently visited the "Brücke 10" fish sandwich stand at the St. Pauli Landungsbrücken (landing bridges) – the fish sandwiches were truly delicious, freshly topped, and a highlight of our visit to the harbor. Unfortunately, the Alster water was less convincing: poorly tapped, almost entirely Sprite, and immediately stale. The taste was simply not up to scratch. They responded to our criticism and refilled our beer – but without any comment or discernible reaction. Hanseatic cold? Perhaps. Customer-oriented? Not really. Next time, we'll just go straight for the bottled beer – then you know what you're getting. Nevertheless, the location directly on the Elbe, the maritime ambiance, and the delicious fish sandwiches make Brücke 10 a worthwhile destination.

The prices there are absolutely outrageous. The fried fish is served cold in a bread roll without any side dish. AND a crab sandwich for 15 euros is absolutely unworthy. Once and never again.

I was really looking forward to what was supposedly the "best fish sandwich" and arrived in a good mood. Unfortunately, I was disappointed: The employee was extremely rude and seemed annoyed. There was no trace of friendliness. The fish sandwich itself was nothing special—rather average. The atmosphere was reminiscent of impersonal mass processing, faster than McDonald's. Overall, a disappointing experience.

We went to Brücke 10 as a family and were very satisfied. Delicious fish sandwiches, fast service, and a great view of the harbor. Highly recommended for a relaxing visit to Hamburg!

A small restaurant and bar located on one of the port's docks. The place has a couple of tables inside, a high bar, and, when the weather permits, a terrace outside. The menu is basic: fish sandwiches, with 10 different sandwiches divided into three categories: regular, with sauce, and smoked. We ordered two sandwiches: the Bismarckhering, very similar to our pickled anchovies, served with onions, very delicious. The other one we ordered was the Kräutermatjes, herring with a very distinctive flavor, I might say a touch sweet, also accompanied by onions. The bread was very crispy and the size was about 15 cm. Summary: Delicious sandwiches and good prices, good service. Price: Bismarck sandwich €3.20, Matjes €3.70 with two Fritz Kolas, total €12.70 Score: 7.6

You'll feel at home here. The friendly and professionally run "Fischbude XL" at the end of the jetty. Delicious fish sandwiches, always fresh. Tasty beers and, of course, other drinks. Always cheerful service, even under pressure. We'll be back, highly recommended.

The website looks so inviting, but when we got there, our jaws dropped: everything seemed filthy and dirty: the tables were covered in crumbs and sticky drink residue from previous guests, the seat cushions were stained... 🤮 The crab sandwich was quite steep at €15, and not "real" crab, something in brine... Unfortunately, we can't recommend Brücke 10...

One of the things on our to-do list in Hamburg was to go to Brücke 10 and have a fish sandwich 🐟 We went there in the late afternoon—there were only 2–3 people ahead of us, so we got our food without waiting too long. Luckily, we found an empty spot outside and enjoyed our Fischbrötchen (backfisch) and beer with a view 🍻 It was truly fresh and delicious. A tasty and filling street food option at a reasonable price—a true Hamburg classic. 👌🏼
