Brauhaus Schönbuch in Calw

I ate there with a few colleagues and it was super tasty, the atmosphere is really good and the service was very attentive and courteous. All the dishes we ordered looked very good. I had goose leg, with dumplings and red cabbage - very tasty, the price was okay but the portion was a bit small. So I had to order another tarte flambée and it was good too. Definitely worth a visit!

Nice brewery atmosphere with very good food and drinks.

The truth is that it has been quite a surprise. We ate late, around 4:30 p.m., and we also had two dogs, but they didn't give us any problems. Very kind and friendly, and the food was very good. We tried a soup, Hausgemachte, the Roast Beef and currywurst. Everything spectacular, very rich.

Very tasty food, but unfortunately small portions

Well...consistently friendly persona for me. Good lunch, Matjes homemade style with fresh salad. The Kieler sprat in me thought it was fine. Again today the “friendly” End point of my tour through Calw. Very nicely decorated interior. Most attentive staff. Good food at reasonable prices. Very nicely designed place. Inside and outside. Today on the outside of the Nagold. Simply calming. Very ! It's nice that the map isn't so overloaded. Freshly prepared. Friendly, approachable employees. Also, staying when the guests are the most stingy or have super extra requests. Thank you for a successful break.

After a city tour in Calw, we had a cozy meal. Perfect. Come back ❤️

Very good restaurant, well located on the main street and the city center. Very nice inside and the food was also very good. There is nothing negative in terms of price either.

I ate there on 2 days this week with 2 colleagues. The fact that you had to wait a bit for drinks or food...it's only human and we weren't and aren't on the run 😀 The beer (naturally cloudy) was very drinkable and tasty, as was the very tasty and well-rounded food. We've been there several times. The food & ambience is great. However, the concept fails due to the weak service. A German brewery needs attractive (at least European-looking) staff, even if that means having to spend money!!! The cast there is like a kebab shop and unfortunately this doesn't live up to the standard.

The place is very nice, the staff is friendly and professional. The food is German cuisine. The dessert was very good, but I can't give top marks to either the first or second course. However I recommend it.

Atmosphere like in a brewery. Loud and big. Food was average. Schnitzel with fries and salad. With a sachet of ketchup and mayonnaise. Not quite what I would expect from a Swabian brewery. The service was good and very friendly. The price is a bit too high for this quality.

It's a great location but the service is sooo slow. If you have to wait 10 minutes for someone to pick up the drinks and then another 10 minutes for them to be handed out, then you almost want to leave. Really a shame. You could get more out of this beautiful local. By the way, the portions were also larger. I remembered my Brauhaus Spezial dish as being much bigger. I really don't know what's going on...

Very dry burger. There was no Burger sauce. Is this an oversight? Very nice place. All-you-can-eat Sunday brunch for those who like it at €32, perhaps a little expensive?

A little bit of roast pork, but a good Maultaschen, but only half. In other pictures, thicker roast pork and whole Maultaschen were served. Absolutely not enough for the money. The ambience is great, the service is very nice. Unfortunately only 2 stars. There are better places where the food isn't skimpy. After all, I don't want to go home hungry.

We were there as a family for brunch. The food was delicious, even our junior thought it was great. The highlight for him was clearly the service robot. The staff was very nice and friendly, especially nice to the little guests. Highly recommended. We will definitely come back for brunch and dinner more often.

Very tasty dishes. Be careful, knuckle is a huge portion of meat. Kaiserschmarrn was a disappointment, just not made warm in a pan with butter. But otherwise always happy again. Even when it's full, the acoustic panels keep the volume tolerable.

Tolles Ambiente, im Brauhaus leckeres Essen.. nur die Käsespätzle sollte man noch mal überdenken haben nicht genug nach Käse geschmeckt und waren sogar noch überbacken.. sonst alles super dort

The food at Brauhaus Schönbuch Calw is very good, we enjoyed brunch today and the selection was very diverse. The service is very attentive. The acoustics were a bit disturbing.

We were there with a large motorcycle group of around 50 people, drinks and food were taken quickly and delivered quickly. Parking the motorcycles in front of the house worked perfectly.

The atmosphere is authentic and the staff are nice. But still the food was not satisfying as it was not tasty. Also a bit overpriced for the quality you get. We ordered lentils with spaetzle and sausages and cheese spaetzle. We were not happy with our choice. It took a very long time and it seemed like the food was sitting in the kitchen for too long before it was served.

The food was really terrible. Maultaschen with potato salad and gravy. I still had something 24 hours later... Unfortunately that was the 2nd time... Sorry, that doesn't work at all 🤷‍♀️

A nice location in itself. Food is completely fine. Unfortunately the service is subpar. After repeated reminders, the plates were cleared away. Drinks were even ordered directly at the bar… Food prices are upper level.

Was there for the second time with my best friends. The food, service and ambience are simply great. Keep it up. And to the super cool service lady from yesterday (unfortunately I didn't remember your name, but you probably remember the little trio in the far corner, the dog photos etc.): Stay as you are. Stopped in at short notice. It has a large beer garden. We found it pleasant inside. The beer and food was very good.

Food was on the cool side. Not much of an atmosphere. Beer was good though.

The dessert was no longer refilled 1 hour before the end of brunch. Little selection of dishes that were not very attractively presented. The service left a lot to be desired, the used plates were removed very late.

Went served or attended to for 10 minutes, tables that were occupied after us next to us were served before us. Got up and left. Service absolutely underground!!!!

We ate here for the first time today and were very pleasantly surprised. The staff was very attentive and very nice. I had the knuckle and my wife had the schnitzel with spaetzle. Both dishes were extremely tasty and nicely prepared. The house beer was very delicious. We'll definitely be back.

Two stars despite the very nice atmosphere and great selection. Never had such a bad deer goulash! Meat dry - cooked dead -, dumplings too compact, dry. And on the outside they looked as tarnished as if you took them out of the water and left them for half an hour - everything came out half cold. We said that and the kitchen told us that it couldn't be possible :-( it doesn't work at all. They couldn't even get a nice head of foam on the beer. Disappointing.

Great menu. Burgers and tarte flambée are definitely recommended

A lovely location by the river and a beautiful building inside. Unfortunately the quality of food has dropped in the last years, with a quite stagnant menu. For example a very poor quality fatty schnitzel and overcooked greasy fries. Service on saturday was very poor, waitress was much more interested in chatting with the other staff and made us wait ten minutes when we asked to pay.

Great place to eat with tasty beers. Staff are so welcoming and friendly. My husband had the pork, succleunt meat and the best crackling ever. Really cool place, we also bought some of the glasses.

Been there twice now. Portion size and quality okay. Had cheese spaetzle as a side dish. Cheese is very tasty, you don't notice that it may not be entirely homemade. I drank 3 different types of beer, the non-alcoholic wheat one is also great.

Unfortunately we had to wait a long time until we were served. The food arrived after a while...but lukewarm to cold. However, the taste of the food was okay. When we ordered our second beer, we thought at first that we had been forgotten. Then…after about 20 minutes our beer arrived. However, we had to drink it very quickly because we had to catch the bus home.

Everything is right here. Even in the heat, the service was super fast and very friendly.

Sooo the guest gets fries. Min. Reheated twice...totally tough and burnt. When we complained we were told “the boss said they were ok”. The service employee fixed it… thank you very much for that! But for the chef, 1 star would be too much!

First of all, the brewery is well located and has a good selection of food, beers and drinks. And. - Maybe I really caught the team having a bad day. I ordered the Brauhaus Spezial (roast pork, cheese spaetzle, Maultaschen and sauce. The Kässpätzle and Maultaschen tasted very good. The roast pork was the size of a children's portion and was so overgrown and tough that I can hardly believe it. I ordered a portion of potato salad with it. It came 100% out of the bucket and, in addition to a sobering taste, had undercooked pieces in it. After eating we sat there for almost 20 minutes until it was cleared away. I often go to breweries here and there and have been to this one twice before. This time the quality was anything but satisfactory. 2 stars, nothing more is possible.

Great location right on the water, nice outdoor area but the flies come when you eat! Better to eat indoors.

Location was nice. Lots of lots of seating inside and outside. What bothered me compared to others was that it wasn't clean (for me personally). Ashtray, menu, table and chairs (crumbs, vogelkaka, fat, etc.) young waiter very friendly and attentive. There was a coloring card for the children. First food: Spare ribs very tasty. Fries too. BUT: The schnitzel really wasn't to my taste. The breading was good but the meat was thick and difficult to cut. I and the kids didn't like it.

It wasn't our first time in the brewery. Before, the food was okay and the service was great. This visit, however, was more of a disaster. The food didn't taste good, a lot of it wasn't fresh and you could tell that most of it ended up warmed up on the plate from the package. At these prices that's pretty cool! The service was tried hard but massively overwhelmed, even though the restaurant wasn't overly busy. We won't be coming back. Not recommended now

Huge German food restaurant with modern decor. The place is spacious, very cool, with a high ceiling. The staff is very friendly, especially Margareta, who speaks a little Spanish. The food is very good and the portions are very generous. Very good own beer. Highly recommended if you are visiting the beautiful town of Calw. Prices according to the amount of food.

Good food, service and place. Maybe a little expensive

We were served by Martina, who does an outstanding job. It's a joy to see how she thrives in her job. Depending on the day, the food is sometimes very good, sometimes not quite so. Unfortunately, it is subject to fluctuations. The salad is not recommended because you can see and taste that it is a ready-made mixture, just like the dressing. That's too bad. But we will still come back.

Paseando por Calw y llegada ya la hora de cenar, vimos este restaurante con terraza hacia el río Nagold, con vistas muy agradables a este y al parque. Nos atendió una señora muy amable, no hablaba mucho inglés, pero nos entendimos bien. Mi marido tomó un plato de cerdo que era enorme (no se lo pudo acabar), yo pedí una especie de pizza más fina con queso con pimiento verde. El tamaño de los platos más que correcto. Con una cerveza y un refresco cenamos muy bien. Un lugar muy agradable por la cercanía al río, nos atendieron bien y la comida estaba rica.

Nice restaurant, lovely service. Unfortunately, some of the food seems to be pre-prepared and warmed up (according to their own statement). A tarte flambée with turkey instead of pork ham was, for example. B. Not possible. And the Kaiserschmarren was definitely out of the package, dry (just tasted old). All dishes with the lion sign are recommended as they appear to be fresh.

Good inn with a manageable menu, good, regionally appropriate food with large portions and delicious beer. Ambiance matching the brewery theme and wonderful outdoor seating directly on the Nagold. Probably not enough “hip” for the very young. For people who are looking for a classic, good, middle-class restaurant, this is exactly the right place.

Been there again for some time. Sat inside due to the outside temperature. I was very happy that there wasn't much going on inside, because unfortunately there's a lack of noise-reducing objects here. It's just a beer hall and it's loud. Food and service were 1a. Thanks, I'll definitely be back soon.

Staff was very nice, professional and accommodating. Ambience was very nice and terrace was very pleasant on a nice summer day. Food was ready quickly and our little mouse's wishes were also fulfilled 😀. Very tasty and all in all great. Would come here again. Thank you 🙏🙏

Wir sind lanjãhrige Kunden im Brauhaus,aber sowas wie heute ist uns noch nie passiert. Wir sind regelrecht ignoriert worden von drei Mitarbeitern, obwohl Blickkontakt vorhanden war. Wir sind dann in ein anderes Restaurant gegangen, wo wir sehr nett bedient wurden. Ich hoffe, das dies nur ein Ausrutscher war und der schlechte Service nicht zur Routine wird.

The prices are way too overpriced for what you get!!!!Besides that, I had the onion roast and the first sin is Roast gravy instead of onion sauce!.and that wasn't all, they only have one layer of toilet paper!!!!!

The food was very tasty, well seasoned, but not of consistent quality, but requests were taken into account. You had to ask the waiter to order and pay. He didn't go through the whole table, but everyone had to address him individually. I don't understand that.

a very great restaurant (had a first date there (oops), couldn't take woofy with me, he was also looked after very warmly, everyone enjoyed it. a wonderful team with great guests, phenomenal cuisine at good prices. at any time and as a postscript, I think it is important that you also pay attention to the opening times, from 11:30 a.m. hot and cold food is served continuously, so that at 1:30 p.m. you are politely asked to leave the restaurant and yet at 5:00 p.m clock should come back. 100 out of 100 points for this restaurant, if you don't like 5 stars, there's nothing good about it anyway, wink. Beautiful beer garden right on the Nagold, simply great

Good German cuisine, super tasty beer and genuinely friendly people. A very large restaurant, which makes it a bit too massive, but that does not outweigh all the good points.

The three of us had a lovely evening. The food was great and came quite quickly and the service was very attentive and, above all, really nice and friendly.
