Huge German food restaurant with modern decor. The place is spacious, very cool, with a high ceiling. The staff is very friendly, especially Margareta, who speaks a little Spanish. The food is very good and the portions are very generous. Very good own beer. Highly recommended if you are visiting the beautiful town of Calw. Prices according to the amount of food.

We were served by Martina, who does an outstanding job. It's a joy to see how she thrives in her job. Depending on the day, the food is sometimes very good, sometimes not quite so. Unfortunately, it is subject to fluctuations. The salad is not recommended because you can see and taste that it is a ready-made mixture, just like the dressing. That's too bad. But we will still come back.

Nice restaurant, lovely service. Unfortunately, some of the food seems to be pre-prepared and warmed up (according to their own statement). A tarte flambée with turkey instead of pork ham was, for example. B. Not possible. And the Kaiserschmarren was definitely out of the package, dry (just tasted old). All dishes with the lion sign are recommended as they appear to be fresh.

Paseando por Calw y llegada ya la hora de cenar, vimos este restaurante con terraza hacia el río Nagold, con vistas muy agradables a este y al parque. Nos atendió una señora muy amable, no hablaba mucho inglés, pero nos entendimos bien. Mi marido tomó un plato de cerdo que era enorme (no se lo pudo acabar), yo pedí una especie de pizza más fina con queso con pimiento verde. El tamaño de los platos más que correcto. Con una cerveza y un refresco cenamos muy bien. Un lugar muy agradable por la cercanía al río, nos atendieron bien y la comida estaba rica.

Good inn with a manageable menu, good, regionally appropriate food with large portions and delicious beer. Ambiance matching the brewery theme and wonderful outdoor seating directly on the Nagold. Probably not enough “hip” for the very young. For people who are looking for a classic, good, middle-class restaurant, this is exactly the right place.

Been there again for some time. Sat inside due to the outside temperature. I was very happy that there wasn't much going on inside, because unfortunately there's a lack of noise-reducing objects here. It's just a beer hall and it's loud. Food and service were 1a. Thanks, I'll definitely be back soon.

Staff was very nice, professional and accommodating. Ambience was very nice and terrace was very pleasant on a nice summer day. Food was ready quickly and our little mouse's wishes were also fulfilled 😀. Very tasty and all in all great. Would come here again. Thank you 🙏🙏

Wir sind lanjãhrige Kunden im Brauhaus,aber sowas wie heute ist uns noch nie passiert. Wir sind regelrecht ignoriert worden von drei Mitarbeitern, obwohl Blickkontakt vorhanden war. Wir sind dann in ein anderes Restaurant gegangen, wo wir sehr nett bedient wurden. Ich hoffe, das dies nur ein Ausrutscher war und der schlechte Service nicht zur Routine wird.

Good German cuisine, super tasty beer and genuinely friendly people. A very large restaurant, which makes it a bit too massive, but that does not outweigh all the good points.

The knuckle was far too fatty and the sauce was an indefinable jelly. When asked if the food was good, I said so. The only reaction was I could have said that straight away. The reaction from the services force was that they could have said that straight away. Well I couldn't even finish the knuckle. That says it all. Visually it was really great. I'm not sure if this wasn't fried. I won't be coming back and can't recommend the brewery

Food arrived within 5 minutes, even before the drinks. Cheese spaetzle were cold, so I had to go back straight away. Taste bland and nothing special. Tables are not cleared and prices are too high. Definitely won't come again

I don't think much of brewery cuisine. But the food was quite okay. A bit big portions. Especially the sausage salad. The service was really friendly! And the ambience? What could be nicer than a beer garden by a river when the weather is nice?! So for a drink and a little something to eat with friends, always happy.

Nice atmosphere in the middle of Calw. Service was very quick and we barely took a seat. Starter came directly with the drinks, which was perfectly fine. Both main courses, however, were partly subpar. The worst spaetzle in our lives. Definitely not homemade, ZERO taste. Knuckle on the second plate was ok, the sauce didn't deserve the name. Had the same consistency as water. When I asked the waitress about the spaetzle, the succinct answer was "I'm just bringing the food". We don't come here anymore.

Roast roast without roasted aromas and no traces of searing, plus a watery sauce that would never have come out of the pot. Unfortunately, I can't even give this overpriced meal at 29 euros a point. The restaurant has the feel of a fast-paced train station hall in which every sound resonates. The waiter alone was friendly and really took care of us as guests. Conclusion: once and never again, no advertising for the Calw gastronomy.

War heute im Brauhaus, haben Wurstsalat und mein Menü ZWEI FLEISCHMAULTASCHEN AUS DEM SUD mit geschmälzten Speck-Zwiebeln, Bratensoße und schwäbischem Kartoffelsalat bestellt. Wurstsalat kam schnell, nach dem dieser von meiner Partnerin gegessen war, fragte ich nach meiner Bestellung bei einem anderen Angestellten wo das Essen an den Nebentisch brachte. Er kam dann und sagte nur das meine Bestellung untetging in der Küche. Nach ca. 5 Min. kam meine Bestellung dann, Maultaschen waren niemals im Süd, weil Sie aussen Trocken waren und innen noch Kalt. Kartoffelsalat war ohne Herzblut gemacht, fade ohne Geschmack dazu waren die Kartoffeln zu kurz gekocht und sehr fest. Beim Bezahlen würde ich gefragt ob das Essen gut war, meine noch freundliche Antwort „ Ging so” würde nicht hinterfragt, was mir zeigte wie die Einstellung vom Personal dort ist. Keine Entschuldigung oder Frage warum. Deshalb für mich nicht Empfehlenswert dort hin zu gehen. Gebe aber jeden eine zweite Chance und werde in nächster Zeit mal wieder vorbei gehen und schauen ob das ein Ausrutscher war mit meinem Essen oder dauer Zustand.

Ordered cheese spaetzle. I think the Spätzl were not homemade - so I also know them as ready-made products from Burger or Seddele. They were also quite dry. The onions that came with it were most likely ready-made products that were sprinkled on top. Sometimes very hard. Large portion but only average quality. Our other dish - Brauhaus Spezialteller - wasn't convincing either. Otherwise it's a shame - location, terrace on the Nagold very inviting - the food still has room for improvement to do justice to a brewery restaurant.

Waren gestern mit meiner Frau zum Mittagessen da, haben Tagesgericht Gyros gegessen. So ein Gyros habe ich noch nie gegessen. Portion war wahrscheinlich für Kinder, das Fleisch war nach meiner Meinung ein Schnitzel zerkleinert und das zweite mal gebraten. Bei den Pommes Frites musste man die Würzung suchen und das Tzatziki na das lass ich lieber. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich deswegen 1 Stern. Nich zum empfehlen.

We wanted to have lunch outside and despite several free tables, the employee there said it was closed. He suggested that we go inside the restaurant, where we had come from and even after another employee had given us the freedom to choose where to eat. A young employee called Benjamin, who even spoke Spanish, saved the situation. He apologized, tried to accommodate us as best he could and made himself available to us to provide the best service. He even took our order, although our table was the responsibility of another employee who also didn't serve us very well. In short, the food was tasty, and we ordered the most typical dishes.

Unfortunately, the brewery has only developed negatively since my review 4 years ago. 1. Prices have gone through the roof, probably everywhere but still. 2. In addition, the quality of service has fallen extremely, the brewery is empty. There are 4 waitresses at the counter all talking, but they still can't get it done. 3. It can also be observed that the price of some dishes goes up, but ingredients are swapped for cheaper alternatives or simply less food is spent on the more expensive price. An extreme example of this is the Brauhaus spezial.

We went for brunch with 6 people. Self-service is the order of the day. There's always something missing: sweet mustard with the white sausages, glasses by the beer for self-tappers, cups by the coffee machine, plates by the warm buffet... three waiters stand behind the counter at the same time, chewing, a fourth waiter has a cell phone in his hand to play around with. The food used to be better and there was a wider selection. It's a shame, it doesn't look like we'll have brunch there again.

I'm not the type of person who writes big reviews. Especially since I know really good inns. But unfortunately they were closed this Friday. I was in this location for the last time 2 years ago and was quite happy with the food. Comparable in price to others. But this time I ordered a roast again and what can I say about it!! If the thing still has 150 grams I'll eat a broom. Eating cold meat of course not medium rare as ordered. It wouldn't work because it's only 2. cm.

Schönbuch Brauhaus, Calw - the brewery is located on the outskirts of Calw in a listed gymnasium - directly on the banks of the Nagold. The ambience is in the style of a brewery and is cozy despite the size (around 200 seats inside) - although when it is fully occupied there is also a corresponding background noise. In summer (from April to October) there are another 250 seats on the large terrace. The food is plentiful and good... the service is friendly and generally quick - we once had to wait a bit when paying, which was particularly annoying because we had to rely on the train. Overall, it's worth a visit to the brewery - and we'll definitely come by again - perhaps in summer when the terrace is open.

Ambience was ok to good. The food was ok. The service was bad. First we had to remind the waiter that he was supposed to take our food and then he brought me the wrong food. The right food came really quickly, but only because a guest had the same food returned two minutes earlier. Personally, I found the portions too small, considering that comparable restaurants charge less.

Ambiance is typical brewery. In our case, the taste of the food was good. Service friendly. One complaint is that no deviations from the menus are possible. For example, if you don't want fries as a side dish, you can get that, but you still have to pay the full price. I don't know that in "good" restaurants/brewery houses. In addition, the description “a large portion of Kaiserschmarrn” on the menu is unfortunately not really accurate. We were already disappointed by the quantity that was served to us.

The service was good even though we had to wait over an hour for our food. It has to be said that there wasn't a lot going on. The Käsespätzle don't deserve their name because there is simply no cheese in them. I also thought it was a shame that the onions on the spaetzle came from a can and were not freshly fried. However, the knuckle was tasty and also very large.

Went there for brunch with friends on Sunday. Due to the holidays there wasn't that much going on, which we found pleasant. Breakfast was ok. Unfortunately there was no coffee machine and you had to order hot drinks from the staff. That could have been a little more careful. I also have e.g. B missed fresh bread. Terrace is nice to sit on if the weather is good. 1 star deduction for the lack of soap in the women's toilet. Update 7.10. Went to the brewery on Saturday evening. Unfortunately that was a mistake. The male waitresses were just busy flirting with their girlfriends (?). We were ignored, even though there were hardly any guests there. After a waitress (female, thank you again) finally noticed us and took our order, the absolute highlight came. Our drinks were brought to the slightly drunk friends in question and then taken away from them and brought to us! Are you crazy? We then got up and left. This was the last visit for us. And the 2 stars are only there because the first visit was good. And what unfortunately doesn't make a good impression is when the roll of the tablecloth for brunch is pulled onto the floor. Hygiene??

Sind schon seit der Eröffnung immer wieder zu Gast gewesen. Das Essen ist ok, keine kulinarischen Besonderheiten. Wenig saisonale Gerichte. Seit Corona hat sich der Mitarbeiterstamm leider deutlich verändert. Nette, freundliche, aufmerksame männliche Bedienungen sind nicht mehr da. Statt dessen überwiegend unfreundliche Bedienungen die den Besuch nicht gerade zu einem schönen Erlebnis werden lassen. Wir besuchen nun lieber umliegende Gaststätten deren Personal mit den Kunden netter umgeht. Und wir sind da wohl nicht alleine: Sind regelmäßig geschäftlich zum Stammtisch dort gewesen. Auf meine Frage ob wir uns nicht mal wieder zum Stammtisch im Brauhaus treffen wollen antwortete die organisierende Kollegin: Gute Idee, aber wollen wir uns nicht mal wo anders treffen. Die sind voll unfreundliche geworden ...

The food is delicious, but the heat in the shop and the waiting time are unbearable.

We went out to dinner on a Saturday evening and I ordered roast pork. The roast was also very juicy and actually quite tasty, but the sauce, if you can call it that, was very bland and watery. I actually expected a strong beer sauce with a roast pork in a brewery and not watered down gravy. It's a shame about the good roast.

We ate there on a Sunday and unfortunately I have to say that we were very disappointed. It was carelessly prepared, the doneness of none of the three dishes was correct and no complaints were received

Das Gute vorweg, das Personal war freundlich und der Flammkuchen lecker, das Hühnerfleisch auf dem Salat hatte eine wirklich seltsame Konsistenz, so das es vermutlich Formfleisch war…. Denn ich habe so etwas nur 1x vorher gegessen und da hatte ich mich im Kühlregal vergriffen….. geschmacklich war es eher neutral und auch nicht frisch gegrillt, was ich eigentlich erwartet hatte….. Die 3 Sterne nur wegen der netten Bedienung! Der Burger war schwacher Durchschnitt…. Leider muss ich sagen das Preisleistungsverhältnis war leider nicht gegeben…..

Service was quick and very friendly, there's no criticism. The food...phew... Rump steak was very small but good. Schnitzel dry, seemed warmed up. Salad without pizzazz, side dishes (spaetzle, fries, fried potatoes) not good. Nuggets very tasty. I can't understand the good, almost glowing reviews. Either it's the chef, the time of day, the day of the week... but 5 stars for the food are by no means justified. But even if we're having a bad day, a restaurant that can't deliver consistently good quality doesn't deserve a good review.

My meal, I had sausage salad, was good, my husband's, he had schnitzel with fries, the fries were good, unfortunately the schnitzel wasn't seasoned. But we will test it again. If it's better then it's five stars

I've eaten here several times and I always enjoy coming here. Only when the house is full can you hope for a quiet evening because of the background noise. But otherwise I can only give it two thumbs up. It's worth a visit.

Very nice atmosphere, not too loud despite the large hall. Food was a good portion size. Unfortunately the fried potatoes are just potato cubes. The roast was good, including the degree of doneness. Unfortunately with fried onions instead of melted onions. Instead of the Kaiserschmarrn we ordered, we received an apple strudel. But at least it tasted good too.
