The food was top. The sauerbraten is a revelation and inexpensive too.

All the food here is very good and tasty. We like coming here.

When we are in Düren we eat here. Good brewery food. Tasty, large portions. The cook knows how to do it, we drove home full. Thanks also to the nice waitress, she enjoys her job.

“Alt Düren”, as a Düsseldorfer you naturally look forward to a delicious “Altbier”. And what do you get? Just a Kölsch beer, a “Meeedchen beer”, also called “Kölsch”! It would be better to call the shop “Kölsch-Düren” so that you don’t create false expectations…! 😉 AMBIENCE (4/5): Typical Rhenish brewery atmosphere. Not unpleasant at all, lots of pictures of the still undestroyed pre-war Düren. FOOD/DRINKS (4/5): First-class Rhenish sauerbraten, normally portioned, delicious red cabbage. PRICES (3/5): But it has picked up quite a bit in the last three years SERVICE (5/5): Fast, friendly, with an overview and Rhenish intonation with a Polish tongue. CLEANLINESS (4/5): Everything OK. CONCLUSION (4/5): Going is absolutely not a mistake. However, as a Düsseldorfer, saying “beer” to this strange drink called “Kölsch” is not something I can do 😉.

Sensational - as a stranger you are examined but quickly dismissed with a dry comment - just laugh a lot and be nice 😂 aaaand you get a full-blown beer if you ask 🙈😂

In Düren the food options seem to be limited, so we had to go to the brewery. Ordered with a lot of hunger and little expectation, but the food wasn't bad at all. Sufficient quantity for every appetite, there was nothing to complain about in terms of taste or appearance. The service was attentive and the drinks were fairly priced.

The food is delicious and the beer too. We were there during Düren leutet and go there often. 1 star deducted because service wasn't that good and because toilets are dirty. No matter how busy it is, good service is important, as is hygiene.

Very cozy brewery without a lot of hustle and bustle... top beer and food and a daily menu of good home cooking at fair prices... I'm a regular and have been coming there for 13/14 years now... I have to laugh and can't read the previous posts understand....whoever is talking about frozen goods and ready-made salad.....I'm sorry but I have no idea....there are probably only cats and dog food in your own kitchen and a cheap canned soup at Christmas Cheap brand...

We ate at the inn yesterday, unfortunately we were guided by the great reviews, which are probably sorted out every day. Otherwise, I can't imagine how a shop like this can have so many good reviews. The starter salad was all finished salad and the dressing tasted like mayonnaise. I ate a Jägerschnitzel that was completely fried and the sauce was from a bag and the mushrooms from a can. We ordered 2 large drinks, which in my opinion are 0.5 liters, and were given 0.3 liters. When we asked why the glasses were so small, we were told that they were large portions for us. To sum it all up, we felt very uncomfortable and will never go out to eat again, which I can even pass on to others.

We had reserved a table at the Brauhaus Alt Düren today. The atmosphere was very outdated, dusty, not air-conditioned and not comfortable. We order three large drinks and got them small ones with the statement that there are no big ones. I'll keep it short, the food is like bad canteen food. Never again

Went there spontaneously. Alpine schnitzel. Top taste and combination. 3 choice dishes Tappas type. Calamaris, Kibelinge and baked potato. Everything was super tasty.

I can only give one star The salad was a mouse portion (it's summer so the salad only costs a small amount of money) What I and my colleagues noticed was that the regular guests got a larger salad with their schnitzel, and the side dishes were also more lavish. You can't get enough when you eat sauerbraten, When I asked the staff, they gave a snappy answer: You come from Cologne and so on, we didn't give a tip, No greetings when leaving the restaurant. That's a shame, the landlord doesn't want any new guests???? We won't choose this restaurant the next time we visit Düren. The toilets have had better days. So the landlord has to ask himself whether he would undergo training with his employees (conditions and kitchen staff) in order to get better reviews for new customers. We are the group from Cologne, we were there with eight pensioners.

There were 3 of us there on schnitzel day, schnitzels were ok for the price, the sauce and dressing were unfortunately finished products, the spagetti Bolognese was a disaster and the parmesan cheese was nothing but parmesan cheese. Service was great!!!!

While we were eating at the table which was leaning against the closed kitchen door, a cockroach came out from under the kitchen door and quickly rose to the height of the table. It wasn't pleasant. Furthermore, they asked us to pay only in cash, ours was a business trip and we couldn't pay in cash, but there was no way. So we had to accept the conditions. Very bizarre things in 2024.

Eat good. Open until midnight, but there are no more drinks after 11 p.m. such as Hugo or Aperol, they say it's too late, we'll close soon, absolutely unfriendly. You could have had beer, but then we left, we haven't experienced it yet.

Mondays and Tuesdays are schnitzel days, when all schnitzels cost €8.90. I had schnitzel a la Meyer with fried potatoes, fried eggs and salad. Nice big portion and tasty. I've been there several times and tried a few things there. It always tasted good, value for money was perfectly fine, service was always quick and friendly. Only on the side street where the brewery is located, homeless people sometimes sit in front of the supermarket, which costs one point for the ambience, even if the brewery can't do anything about it. I would still love to come back.

Very cozy. Really good food at a totally reasonable price. Big portion. But the waitress definitely has the wrong job. You can't let the woman loose on customers. Slightly taller, blonde. You can quickly recognize it by the unfriendly manner. NOT suitable for catering, at least for service. The rest fits 100% Definitely coming back!

As always, the food was delicious, the service was fantastic, yes, and the ambience hasn't changed since I was a teenager, but it's nice that it's the way it is because you feel comfortable and you can bring back memories

Nice, rustic brewery with a decent atmosphere... good selection of food at honest prices... delicious beer fresh from the tap... in this case, Reissdorf Kölsch... the service is friendly and attentive and very positive... overall, no well rounded and definitely worth a visit...🍻💪
