Die Tagesempfehlung „Rehbraten mit Bärlauchspätzle“ war leider völlig ungenießbar. Das Fleisch breiig und völlig zerkocht und als Soße eine künstliche Bratensoße, völlig unpassend zu einem Wildgericht. Die freundliche Bedienung hat meine Beschwerde aufgenommen. Danach ist leider außer der Rechnung keine Rückmeldung gekommen. Sehr enttäuschend!

Beautifully designed brewery. There are several guest rooms and a not-too-large beer garden. As befits a brewery, there is a selection of different beers. Session beers are also available depending on the season. The selection of food is good and there is something for everyone. The taste and the price are completely consistent. The service is sufficient and very attentive. In short, it's fun to come here.

The new beer garden is really beautifully designed and you can sit there really well. The service is friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is very nice and the quality of the food is, as always, really good. I think the newly designed beer garden really enhances this destination.

We go to the brewery at least once every year during our vacation. Unfortunately, we also have to say that the quality of the food has deteriorated. What particularly annoyed us today was the unfriendliness while buying beer. Stress or not, the customer can't do anything about it.

Very nice restaurant with a terrace. The gentleman who served us deserved more than 5 stars. The food was very tasty and the beers are exceptional anyway. I would like to deduct one star because the prices are self-confident compared to the size of the meat portions.

We came across the brewery inn by chance while passing through. Beautiful building, cozy outdoor area, good beer, tasty food and friendly service staff. What more could you want?!? Except: a self-driving car to be able to enjoy another half or two 😉

I was there well before 12 p.m. and as an individual I only managed to get a place with great difficulty. A reservation is therefore definitely recommended! The food is excellent and the service is very friendly throughout. The selection of our own beers is very large and of very high quality!

Cheese spaetzle is not recommended. Everyone makes better ones at home. Spaetzla were like porridge and the cheese didn't even have a thread. Never again

Disappointing return – Ehingen mountain brewery loses its soul After a long time, the path led me back to the Ehingen mountain brewery restaurant - with joyful anticipation and the faint hope of a piece of culinary home. Unfortunately, what I had to experience was the exact opposite: a kitchen that lacked any love and craftsmanship. The Kässpätzle - once a flagship of down-to-earth Swabian cuisine - appeared lifeless, bland and, given its consistency, strongly suspected of coming from a bag. No golden brown crust, no melted cheese that pulls strings - instead a sticky, taste-subterranean pile. Also the lentils with spaetzle: mediocre at best. There was a lack of sophistication, spice and, above all, attention to detail - no bacon, no pizzazz, no handwriting. Just any standard plate that is supposed to fill you up, but doesn't bring you joy. This development is particularly disappointing compared to previous visits. The cuisine in the mountain was different for once – warmer, more honest, more authentic. Today people seem to be content with faceless standard gastronomy. The fact that the prices still remain at the usual ambitious level rounds off the disappointing experience in a more bitter than conciliatory way. It's a shame that culinary austerity and industrial cuisine have now also found their way into Ehingen. The charm is gone - and with it, unfortunately, a bit of regional hospitality.

Great brewery with delicious food and of course the used beer specialties. Very nice staff and should have facilities in the restaurant and the associated brewery rooms. It's definitely worth a visit if you reserve a table online in advance 👍

A visit to the Berg restaurant is always a positive experience in terms of cuisine and ambience. The food was delicious and the beers were tasty. The pork knuckle is deliciously crispy and the bread dumplings and sauce are very tasty. The staff very friendly and always ready for a smile. Recommended at any time. We'll be back.

This was our fifth or sixth time at the Berg Brewery, but definitely not the last time. Starting with the ambience/furnishings, the entire concept in the guest room is simply coherent. You feel good, you look forward to a delicious Ulrichs beer in a beautiful mug in a beautiful color, which is served to you by relaxed, friendly staff (special praise to Mr. Schinke/Schünke? = sensational entertainer. My beer goulash: grade 1+. Clearly number 1 of the breweries in Ehingen!

Was there today, can only say super 1 with Krone. For severely disabled people, elevator to the toilet was very clean. And of course SUPPER. I wish the friendly staff all the best.

For me personally the best beer. The food tastes really delicious. We were there on Sunday lunchtime without a table reservation and the restaurant was full. We were about to leave when the friendly waitress showed us the new winter garden. Self-service but thumbs up really nice. I'll come back and I can only recommend it

The food was very tasty, but a bit expensive and not much for Western standards. Staff super friendly and funny.

I was passing through and tried the typical Swabian dish of lentils with spaetzle and saitenwüstle for lunch. The lentils were very tasty, the spaetzle was okay and the sausages were probably a little older but still good 👍 The Ulrichsbier (amber colored) was very tasty and the waitresses were incredibly friendly! All in all, I was very satisfied and will happily come back next time

Good food good beer. Prices are justified

Yesterday we were at a 60th celebration in the winter garden house of the brewery in Berg. A great location with very tasty food. The service team was outstanding, demonstrating with their attentive, friendly, charmingly funny manner that they care about the guest's well-being. Hats off and keep it up.

We went for dinner today. Pork knuckles with potato salad and pork cheeks with tagliatelle and goulash. Except for the potato salad and tagliatelle, it was OK. Nothing special but OK. Unfortunately, you can no longer find really good Swabian cuisine. Potato salad way too much vinegar and mush... tagliatelle tasted like it came from the supermarket... top service. Ambience way too loud. You can no longer understand your own words. Were there again today, March 19th, 2025, thinking we were eating a sausage salad. We did it, it wasn't anything special either. There was a lack of seasoning and out of three Allgäu-style sausage salads, two only had cheese in them. The wake-up call should be homemade. Maybe it didn't taste good. In addition, it was baked and was rock hard. Not edible. It's a shame, a good farmer's bread or mixed rye bread with it and you could have eaten it. Maybe the chefs should try their own food.

The two of us came last Sunday lunchtime (without a reservation). Judging from our impression, there was a lot going on in the dining room. A dark-haired, younger waitress greeted us at the desk. She seemed very reserved, almost annoyed, and then asked us to sit at a table. I actually would have liked a little more friendliness, e.g. a "warm welcome" with a smile on your face. However, it remained an emotionless “Hello”. We sat near the reception and were able to observe her behavior around other guests. Unfortunately nothing changed. Therefore from me/us only 3 stars for the service. It's a shame, because the drinks and dishes that we ordered via the QR code were brought to the table quickly and we enjoyed them, and the ambience in the dining room was also very appealing.

Discovered by chance and totally thrilled. Super friendly service, especially the young waitress with short hair who was on duty at lunchtime on Saturday was very attentive and friendly, as was the young man with a beard, such a top staff I would like to give 10 stars. The food was also really tasty and the good beer with it...it couldn't be better. Thanks for the nice lunch

Eine glückliche Strategie. Die Küche ist bodenständig, regional mit einer überschaubaren Auswahl. Nur so ist es möglich, zig Gäste schnell und gut zu bedienen. Das Personal, bisher eher zurückhaltend, zeigt plötzlich eine echte Begeisterung und Freundlichkeit. Meine Empfehlung an andere Gastronomen: da können sich manche eine "Scheibe" abschneiden. Gerne und jederzeit wieder.

Kartoffelsalat war sehr fad. Fehlte einiges an Salz, Essig und Öl. Sonst Preis Leistung super.

Hammer! A unique experience! I particularly like that every beer that is served is always placed so that the brand logo “Berg” is facing you. the food is great and the beer is impeccable!

My friends and I were warmly welcomed and looked after very well. From now on we drive over 500 kilometers together every year just to spend two days there. I think that says it all. Our waiter at the table named Ange... was the best I've ever had in a restaurant, you could just tell how he loves his job and his passion for his job and made us feel like we were not just at home but like we were on real vacation felt. Me and my friends have great respect for you, you keep it up.

Die Reservierung hat super geklappt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Sowohl die Getränke als auch das Essen wurden sehr schnell serviert und uns hat es allen sehr gut geschmeckt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder nach Berg.

Yesterday we were in the restaurant again. But unfortunately we had to experience our personal disaster. We ordered, among other things, the onion roast medium medium. One was fine, the other three were almost 'alive'. So let it go back. 2 of them were fine. My daughter was particularly unlucky, the meat was still bloody, the next time too, the fourth piece (very thin) was done. It wasn't until the fifth time that it was okay. The waitresses tried very hard and apologized profusely. But actually something like that shouldn't happen.

We were there after a visit to Ulm. The beer and ambience were outstanding, but unfortunately the food was just average. The cheese spaetzle is actually a top dish for the region, super disappointing. The service had everything under control and was funny. With a dignified group of gentlemen, I'd rather not go back with the family. You can park your electric car directly opposite the shop, which means one star more.

Es hat von der Reservierung bis zum Essen alles super geklappt. Brauerei-Gaststätte ist echt zu empfehlen. Für uns war gut dass wie bereits gegen 17:00 Uhr Abendessen konnten, da wir gegen 18:00 Uhr auf eine Veranstaltung in Ehingen gingen, das ist in anderen Gaststätten so nicht möglich.

The food was miserable, a cord on bleu from the freezer with pressed together meat, and no seasoning, the salad still had a miserable dressing! Not really recommended for an economy!

Moderne Bräu Gastronomie mit sehr guter Auswahl an hauseigenen Bieren auch saisonale Biere. Die Speisekarte ist abwechslungsreich und regional. Das Essen ist von sehr guter Qualität. Service ist aufmerksam und freundlich. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

My brother wanted to make us happy. We ate there... My partner had the cord on blue and I had the pasta with ratatouille without cheese and a side salad. The cord on blue was pressed together meat, the side salad had no taste and the noodles could be eaten as is after I seasoned it with salt and pepper. Bock beer has a good taste and is drinkable

Many classic dishes are flavored with this beer, which rounds off the culinary experience. The main course and dessert were absolutely fantastic! I can especially recommend the braised pork cheeks to everyone. 😋 Only the starter was a bit disappointing. 🤔 Me and my companion are very sure that the Maultaschen are standard supermarket goods. 👎 Here it would certainly be possible to get these from a regional butcher or to make them yourself. In our opinion, that would fit the concept better. 💡

Nice rustic brewery with delicious food.

Unfortunately the entrance to the shop is locked. You now have to go through the main entrance, down the stairs, drag a box back up the stairs, pay and then carry it to the car. The beer can't be that good to take on that.

Delicious food, everything homemade, you can see and taste it! From the French fries to the onion roast, everything is as it should be. Many star restaurants cannot keep up. Big compliment to the kitchen! The only criticism is the potato salad and the beef broth. The first one lacked a bit of spice and acidity; the broth should have been boiled for a few more hours for an even more intense taste. The waitresses were all very friendly and accommodating. A big thank you here too! Despite the potato salad/broth 5 out of 5, this is how homemade Swabian food has to taste! :-)

11/20/24 Lunch: The young waitress was unfriendly and snippy. She was also denied a table by the window, even though it was free! That's not how you treat guests.

The food was lukewarm. We observed how 2 other tables also sent their food back to be warmed up. The schnitzel and cordon bleu with fries were not freshly made. It was most likely made before and simply kept warm, which unfortunately lost some of its quality and warmth. It's a shame about the great location. Service was friendly. The beer is also good, but it is not recommended for eating out.
