A hefty 9 euros is all it takes for a shashlik skewer with a roll at the 2025 Bergkirchweih here. In the early afternoon, they obviously serve the same warmed-up skewers from the day before, at least that's how it tasted. When I returned the deposit tray, I had to clean it of all the trash in front of an extremely unfriendly waitress to get my deposit back. I probably should have licked the keys too... That's unacceptable at that price. Unbelievable!! There are definitely friendlier places to get food nearby.

Alterlanger Str. 6Best schnitzel ever. Epic even back in my student days, still fantastic today. However, prices have doubled since 2015.

Neue Str. 2A simple restaurant with a courtyard. The food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. There are many alternatives nearby.

Am Röthelheim 40Unfortunately, I ordered again after the first extremely bad meal because my brother wanted me to. The potato dumplings tasted good, but they were frozen, and the baguette was missing. The roast with mushroom cream sauce had far too little sauce and wasn't particularly flavorful, although the meat was at least tender. Oh, and there was no salad. The cheese spaetzle was okay, but under-seasoned. The pumpkin soup tasted only of carrots and had nothing to do with pumpkin soup. After the first time, with the rotten potato salad and everything being tasteless, I thought it might have improved, but I was sadly mistaken. The kitchen has deteriorated so much.
