Brasserie am Markt in Holzwickede

We stopped here by chance to take a break from our drive from Cologne to Bremen. And we are very excited. Very good food with really great service. Ambience modern but still totally comfortable. Burger was very good. The Neapolitan pizza is delicious. We will definitely plan the stopover again for the next few times.

Very good quality and selection of food. The interior and exterior of the restaurant are extremely inviting. Personally and professionally, I have been able to visit the brasserie several times in the last few weeks and have been very satisfied each time.

The food was delicious and the service was super friendly. We were there with a dog and everyone was totally attentive.

We stopped by the brasserie today after walking the dog and were warmly welcomed by two friendly ladies. The burgers with homemade fries are a hit, and the atmosphere is truly lovely. There's plenty of space outside when the weather's nice. We'll be back.

Price performance is simply great. We have already spent many beautiful and delicious evenings here. The staff is always super friendly and committed.

I tried the takeaway lunch today. (protein bowl) The food was ready very timely and well packaged. When you pick it up, you immediately notice the tasteful decor of the restaurant. When I got home I was very positively surprised by the good quality and taste of the food. A very good portion for €11.90. I would order again at any time.

Unfortunately not at the moment, not acceptable for a burger with fries €15.90 which was a little better than in well-known Fastfoot restaurants... sorry. Waiting time 1 3/4 hours that's not ok. The chicken bowl: salad was good, but there was a spice on the meat that I didn't like at all.

Tried it out and we can only praise it. Super tasty burgers - the best - and pasta & salads. Everything prepared with fresh ingredients. Absolutely top class.

Brasserie Holzwickede After we saw the full broadside of the Ruhr area in the entire A40 traffic jam on Monday, there was no longer any way to our own stove. I've wanted to try out the new concept of the brasserie in Holzwickede for a long time: pizza. I found it neither innovative nor modern when I read the change back then. However, the reviews are very positive everywhere and the design of the restaurant is really nice: modern and cozy. So we went spontaneously and had a free choice of table. Towards later evening it became noticeably more crowded. First: great service. Very friendly, quick and personable. A look at the menu revealed pizza and pasta from classic to modern. The salads and bowls were also modern and creative. A positive surprise. I chose a white pizza with goat cheese and walnuts, my friend 4 cheese. The pizza came to the table hot and well topped. The dough was very tasty and fluffy. Absolutely no comparison to the pizza the night before from the delivered pizza shop, where the dough tasted exactly like nothing. By the way, not a big difference in price compared to the day before, but in terms of quality from here to Alaska. I love the combination of nuts, goat cheese and honey anyway and it was absolutely convincing for me on the pizza. I'm really glad that, despite pizza and pasta, the brasserie has remained brave and creative and hasn't become just another pizza place next door. For 11.99 euros there are still changing lunch offers and a cocktail happy hour in the evening. Overall, an enrichment for Holzwickede and certainly also interesting for surrounding places such as Sölde, Lichtendorf, etc. if you don't want to drive all the way into the city. There is also a terrace in summer and I saw that a winter garden is also in the works. Card payments are possible here and there are plenty of free parking spaces in the area (up to a five-minute walk, the train station is about 8 minutes away on foot)

Cute restaurant with excellent service. The burgers are tasty and the dark beer on tap is definitely worth trying on its own.

Super nice stay. We were actually guests for the first time. We enjoyed the dish of the day, a pizza, which tasted great and my wife was thrilled. I personally tried the fresh waffles with ice cream and cherries. The taste was also great, unfortunately I forgot to ask for the cherries to be served separately, so they were on the waffle. It's a shame because the two got mixed up relatively quickly. Ambience, located directly at the Holzwickede market, which gives it a village feel. The old church just opposite. There are enough parking spaces in the area. A big compliment from us to the staff. Very friendly, attentive and accommodating. We'll be back.

Waited 30 minutes for someone to come and waited 30 minutes for a starter that never came. Never again!!!

Food tastes good, but you wait a long time. Drinks go to the wrong table.

The service is completely overwhelmed and we have been waiting for our drinks for an hour. The front tables were given priority and received their drinks after a few minutes and the ones at the back were completely ignored. Even after going forward and noticing any improvement.

Nice location in the middle of Holzwickede. Very nice terrace to end the evening. We ordered a tuna pizza and truffle pasta. Both were really tasty. The service is also good, even though the hut was on fire.

I do not recommend food heated in a microwave oven from the previous bottom.

There is actually always room for improvement. But if the evening was successful because the food, drinks and the environment were more than satisfactory, it wouldn't be fair not to give it 5 stars. We were definitely not here for the last time.

Unfortunately, apart from the opportunity to sit, we can't rate the drinks or the food. After more than 30 minutes and repeated requests to order something, no one felt compelled to ask us what we would like. We didn't receive a menu either. We left both hungry and thirsty.

To be honest, I went here spontaneously and didn't expect to eat so deliciously with my wife and child! The staff was quick, attentive and friendly! The pizzas were fluffy from the dough and not greasy like you would want to eat pizzas! The only drawback I can make is that the knives aren't too sharp!

Good food at fair prices: The Brasserie am Markt, in the successful new extension of the Holzwickeder town hall, is a real enrichment of the culinary and social life in the heart of the community. Whether in the spacious outdoor area or in the sober, modern, sophisticated interior, you sit comfortably and are really well looked after by a very friendly, efficient service. There are changing daily specials on the plate, great pizzas (!), pasta, burger dishes, bowls and more. The map is varied but not artificially extensive. The prices here are very reasonable. If it continues to be run as it is currently, this brasserie will continue to establish itself well in community life. Because it fills a gastronomic gap in Holzwickede in an exemplary manner: brasserie ambience, with good food, in a lively (work) location.

Since the beginning of June 2024, the cuisine at this pizza restaurant has changed - and it's amazing how much better it has gotten! The taste is simply unbeatable. The dough is perfectly crispy and the side dishes are fresh. Every pizza I tried was absolutely delicious. It's not the standard pizza you know. Five stars from me! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

When the young staff are there who make every man look pretty, it's outrageous, something like that should be terminated. They don't even pay attention to whether the man is married or not. Such an impudence, so we definitely won't come to eat there anymore.

By far the best restaurant in Holzwickede. We received a very friendly welcome immediately upon arrival and hardly had to wait for our food. We were absolutely impressed by the preparation time, the delicious food, the ambience and the attentive staff. The variety and quality of the food is remarkable, and the attention to detail is evident in every dish. We can highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to our next visit. It is undoubtedly an asset to Holzwickede and a must for all foodies.

Nice place at the town hall... nice atmosphere, friendly staff. And even with lactose intolerance I was able to enjoy a very tasty cappuccino.

We had three pizzas. They were excellent. The dough is super fluffy and the topping is very tasty. 3x pizza, 4 drinks, 1 dessert 67€ It wasn't cheap but the food was great, the two waiters were very friendly and everything was clean. Unfortunately there are no more burgers. That's why I chose it on Google but the pizza was so good that I was still very satisfied 😊

Since the chef changed, the food isn't that great anymore. It's now Italian cuisine... nothing that was needed anymore. The food was okay but I don't go there that quickly anymore. The food at the other Italians is just as good but a lot cheaper. I also had a stomach ache after eating there.

This was our third time in the brasserie - the first few visits were great, but now we were disappointed. The recommended pasta with green asparagus was very tasty, but the portion was so small that even as an older woman with a moderate appetite, you couldn't even get close to full and were grateful for the rest of the pizza from your husband. A corresponding complaint was met with the comment “It will be passed on to the kitchen”. Maybe other guests will have better luck now. The service from the boss had also significantly decreased in his friendliness that evening - a shame. Our initial enthusiasm has been dampened.

So far I can only rate the pizza (for pickup). The order is accepted in a friendly manner and requests for changes are taken into account. The announced pickup time will be adhered to. The ingredients are of above-average quality, which justifies the price. This pizza cannot be compared with the other offerings in town, the long dough process, the preparation and selection of the food used is great and leads to a special taste experience!

First of all, I have to admit that I didn't notice anything about the change in ownership... so I was unexpectedly in an Italian restaurant... I don't think there is a need for another pizzeria with the usual standard dishes at this point. Well - the staff was very friendly and tried hard - you can't say anything about that. However, my burrata was a regular mozzarella ball. When I pointed this out, the waitress and waiter said, “Well, I have no idea.” I was told from the kitchen that the mozzarella I had received was just as high quality as the burrata. That can be true, but it is something different. Ultimately, the atmosphere doesn't suit an Italian restaurant. It's a shame... I've always liked it up until then...

The only thing that saves it is the pizza.

Was there for the 3rd time since it reopened. But unfortunately the quality of the food this time was very poor. Absolutely not justified for the price. Everyone has a bad day, but the quality and taste should still be consistent and not leave that out to paying customers. I'll try it again soon, then it'll get full stars.

Unfortunately I have to give the new kitchen a bad rating, I was a regular at the old kitchen. I don't know what happened behind the scenes but the new kitchen is just inedible.. The new menu is also completely ill-considered and has really become worse. There is hardly any choice. My wife's pizza was almost raw and the dough wasn't quite ready at all. I hope a new restaurant comes in or a better kitchen team. I don't understand why the old one was abolished, it was 100 times better than the current one.

I found out before it reopened that it would be the third pizzeria in Howi and I wasn't thrilled about it because I thought it was absolutely great the way it was. But of course I still wanted to give it a chance. Unfortunately, the new concept doesn't convince me. The ambience and service are great, the food doesn't taste bad, but I just think the previous concept is better. It was varied and I enjoyed visiting the brasserie often. Unfortunately not anymore...

I'm extremely disappointed with the new concept... the old menu was much better for my taste: sometimes unusual, always varied, and above all not the Howi standard fare. That was really a contrast and I enjoyed being there often. Now we have a pizzeria instead... a real shame. We won't see each other again like this.

It is not entirely understandable why the previous concept had to be changed. And another pizzaria isn't an asset either. Except the pizza on offer stands out in terms of taste from all the pizzas we've eaten so far. Tastes vary, but for me the food was nothing special. Baking pizza is not being reinvented here either. Taste ok. Of the additional ingredients chosen, such as garlic and rocket, the garlic was missing and unfortunately the rocket was draped somewhat sparingly. For a €1.50 surcharge. The small pizzeria was fully booked and they tried very hard. Actually there was enough staff for such a small shop, but we still sat there for a long time with empty glasses and when we were finally able to order, they unfortunately forgot. But there was a friendly apology. Conclusion for us: nice in summer for people from the area to eat outside.

Nicely presented but I personally liked the old concept better. Pizza was okay but not a hit. But will try again at some point. Prices high compared to the other Italians in Holzwickede. A little tip stating the size and grams (meat) for the price would also be an advantage online Overall, a good, satisfactory verdict (3.5 stars) with a nice atmosphere and quick service.

Das Konzept kann aufgehen, hohe Qualität zum etwas angehoben Preis, tolles Carpaccio, sehr üppig belegte Frutti di Mare (manchmal ist weniger mehr) tolle Getränke und sehr guter Service, ruhig und fachlich, tolles Ambiente. Kleine Anregung, ich wünsche mir, dass die Pizza in 2 Größen angeboten wird, sodass man die leckeren Vorspeisen genießen kann.

Sehr hübsches, gemütliches Lokal am Holzwickeder Markt. Mit schickem Ambiente. Man kann unter großen wetterfesten Schirmen draußen sitzen oder in einer großen Loungeecke verweilen. Das Personal ist immer sehr aufmerksam, zuvorkommend und höflich. Die Speisekarte bietet kleine und große Leckereien.

Ich war heute mit meiner kleinen in der Mittagspause dort. Neben dem Mittagstisch auf der Karte wurde mir direkt noch ein weiterer Angeboten. Die Gemüsequiche war MEGA und hat richtig satt gemacht. Dazu gab es zum Nachtisch ein Schokosouflee mit Vanilliefüllung. Richtig gut. Der Service war schnell und sehr freundlich. Meiner kurzen hat es auch sehr gut gefallen. Der Preis ist für einen Mittagstisch mit Nachspeise für 14,90 € in Ordnung. Zumal die Portionen wirklich sehr gut sind. Wir kommen auf jedenfall wieder.

Waren heute zum ersten Mal hier. Es war sehr lecker das Essen. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Kommen auf jeden Fall noch einmal mit Freunden.

Wir waren zum wiederholten Mal in der Brasserie. Leider wurden wir mehrfach enttäuscht. Entweder war die Suppe nicht heiß oder das Burger Patty halb roh. Am Freitag bestellten wir den "bunten" Salatteller. Leider war nix bunt auf dem Teller. Dieser bestand tatsächlich aus einer Hand voll Pflücksalat, 2 halbierten Kirschtomaten und einem Esslöffel Gurkenwürfel. Daneben lagen 5 Scheibchen Hähnchenbrust, die frecherweise nicht frisch war, sondern aus abgepacktem Pressfleisch bestand. Für 2 Personen gab es 3 Mini Baguette Scheiben. Und das Ganze kostete ca. 18 EUR . Das finde ich schon frech. Meine Freundin bekam das gleiche nur mit 5 oder 6 Garnelen anstatt Hähnchen und einer nicht genießbaren Sesamsauce. Sehr schade. Es hätte für Holzwickede eine Bereicherung werden können. Aber leider hört man immer mehr negativen Dinge, sodass man dann doch lieber den Weg nach Unna in Kauf nimmt.

Byliśmy przejazdem i już po kolacji ale piliśmy piwo które było bardzo dobre . Obsługa miła i uprzejma polecam ten lokal napewno kiedyś wpadniemy na jedzenie . Świetna lokalizacja i wystrój super .

Wieder einmal sind wir als Gast in der Brasserie gewesen - aus gutem Grund: Die moderne Küche, das schöne Ambiente und die leckeren Gerichte begeistern uns immer wieder. Die übersichtliche und variantenreiche Karte lässt kaum einen Wunsch offen ... egal ob eine nahrhafte Bowl mit Toppings zur Auswahl, eine raffinierte Penne oder der üppige Cheeseburger, es ist für jeden etwas dabei. Nicht zu vergessen, der sehr gute Service! Auch bei fachlichen Fragen (bei uns: Zutaten aufgrund einer Lebensmittelallergie) steht das Team immer informativ zur Verfügung! Macht einfach so weiter ***** P.S. immer Platz für die Crème Brûlée lassen #schmackofatzig

Das gibt es doch gar nicht! Das wir das nach über 6 Jahren noch in Howi erleben dürfen. Endlich eine Lokalität, wo man hingehen kann!!! Service super nett, Essen super Konzept (mal etwas Anderes), Getränke (so wie man sich es vorstellt, für jeden etwas dabei), Sauberkeit (100%, Toiletten, etc. Top!) ... und nochmal unsere Drohung: Wir werden wiederkommen!!! Vielen Dank an das ganze Team!!!

My flight was delay so i choose this place for dinner. Food was delicious! Customer service was fantastic! Wonderful place and people. Highly recommended.

Schönes Bistro und gut gelegen. Leider unaufmerksames Personal welches lieber am Handy ist oder untereinander Smalltalk führt, statt schonmal die leeren Teller abzuräumen und sich zu erkundigen, ob noch was bestellt werden möchte. Steak wird nur noch durchgebraten serviert, weil es zu viele Beschwerden gab, es wäre noch kalt oder zu blutig. Tut mir leid, aber wer ein vernünftiges Steak essen möchte, bestellt es medium, denn ansonsten lohnt sich der hohe Preis nicht. Und die Aussage die Gäste seien Schuld, weil zu viele sich beschwert haben, lässt wohl eher darauf schließen, dass es dann wohl wirklich nicht medium war. Andere Restaurants bekommen es ja auch hin. Ansonsten kann man das Steak gleich von der Karte nehmen... Rippchen und Tagliatelle waren aber ganz gut.
