Great restaurant but no parking

Very good. The whole table is full of Spanish delicacies, cocktails and delicious beers. And that for 45 €/person. We'll be back.

It was our first time in the restaurant because we come from Cologne and usually go there Spaniards go out to eat. Friendly staff, delicious tappas and lots of choice, good value for money, good service and a pleasant atmosphere. 1 star deducted because none of the toilet doors in the women's toilet could be locked from the inside and strange women were standing in the toilet. Very unpleasant situation.

The Bonneria has always been our favorite tapas in Bonn, but this time we were disappointed and have to lower the rating. The bread was no longer the delicious fresh bread we knew, it was dry baguette, the aioli was also very solid and the taste was not comparable to the one we had on our previous visits. Then we waited a very long time for the food (about 1 hour), and a follow-up tapa order took more than 30 minutes. Portions were also smaller than usual, and the taste was also worse than before. Too bad! The service wasn't as good as usual either, the restaurant's explanation was that there was probably a larger group present. We actually had them before without the quality suffering.

We had ordered a table very early and were then seated in the next room. According to the waiter, the room was very cold but it was supposed to be warm in a few minutes thanks to the fan oven, but it wasn't. The tapas plate at the beginning had probably been sitting around for a long time because the prawns were dry and cold, as were the meatballs. We ordered 2 tapas each, they were ok. It wasn't comfortable, too cold. We then left quickly and drank some wine in another restaurant and warmed ourselves up 😉

I was there yesterday for the first and last time. It started with the fact that you didn't get anything in the middle of the table like with other Spaniards (bread, alioli, olives, etc.). The food we ordered took 1 hour 10 minutes, which was clearly too long. We had to try very hard to get the waiters' attention, so we spent a lot of time sitting in front of empty glasses. Price/performance rather too expensive but okay. Despite the high bill, there was no schnapps or anything like that at the end. Das Lokal ist gemütlich und hip. Die Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich und das Essen war sehr lecker. Dennoch gibt´s von mir nur eine mittelmäßige Bewertung und zwar aus folgenden Gründen: Wir haben sage und schreibe fast 2 (!!!) Stunden auf unser Essen gewartet. Alle anderen wurden bedient und waren bereits beim Dessert, als wir noch immer vor einem leeren Tisch saßen. Nach mehrerem Nachfragen teilte man uns mit, dass unser Bonn `verloren`gegangen sei. Man offerierte uns zur Überbrückung ein paar Oliven und Brot mit Dips an. Leider mussten wir auch darauf ewig warten; das Schälchen Oliven kam ohne Zahnstocher und wurde ziemlich lieblos offeriert. Die Dips und das Brot kamen erst, nachdem unser 1. Essen serviert worden war. Wir waren zu viert und bekamen alle zu einem anderen Zeitpunkt das Essen serviert, so dass wir nicht zeitgleich unsere Speisen einnehmen konnten. Als wir fertig waren, saßen wir ewige Zeiten vor unseren leeren Tellern; niemand deckte ab, obwohl etliche Mitarbeiter x-mal an unserem Tisch vorbei liefen. Unsere Gläser waren ebenfalls leer-niemand fragte, ob wir noch etwas trinken wollen. Nachdem endlich mal abgeräumt war, wurde noch nicht mal gefragt, ob wir noch einen Wunsch hätten. Alles in allem war der Service wirklich unterirdisch. Sehr schade, denn das Essen und die Lokalität waren prima. Aber der überaus schlechte Service wird uns von einem weiteren Besuch im Bonneria abhalten.

It seems whoever is in the kitchen has never been to Spain. The names of the dishes are Spanish but the preparation different from the original plates, and taste is mostly bland. The plates are expensive. Service is good

A beautiful New Year's Eve 2024... it should have been! We wanted to celebrate New Year's Eve 2024 in Bonn with friends and because we don't come from Bonn and have a journey of almost 3 hours, we booked a hotel for it. Weeks before, we had researched and came across the tapas restaurant “Bonneria”. We had reserved a table with friends both in writing by email and by telephone and of course we had also received confirmation from the restaurant. The flyer we were sent and the information on the homepage gave us information about how the evening would go and what we could expect. It should start at 6:00 p.m.... The astonishment, disappointment and anger were great when we stood in front of a locked door together with our friends and other guests of the restaurant and we realized that the evening would turn out differently than planned. Nobody from the restaurant had informed us! There was no sign on the door and no one could be reached by phone either! Days later, when we asked by phone, we found out that they had simply decided to keep the restaurant closed due to a lack of reservations. Leaving guests out in the cold like this shows a level of disrespect, unreliability, lack of decency and indifference that has never happened to us before. After all, it wasn't just any day of the year! We wish the entire team a successful and customer-focused year! (Unfortunately you have to award at least one point. But that's actually too much!)

Delicious tapas. Tasty red wine. The staff was a bit overwhelmed due to the large number of guests. Drink orders in particular took a long time to arrive.

Went to the restaurant for the second time over the Christmas holidays with a larger group. Despite all the tables being occupied, the waiting times for food and drinks were absolutely constant at Ramen. The steaks are to die for, but everything else is recommended. Nobody was even remotely dissatisfied with their order. A ⭐️ deduction for the ambience, because you could renovate a little here and there... Otherwise everything was tip top 💯

Were there for the Christmas party with around 20 people and can only recommend the restaurant!! The organization, the food and the drinks were excellent and the always friendly, considerate staff made the stay an experience!! Yesterday we reserved a table for 8:30 p.m. The table was not available at 8:30pm! After we were put off twice (it took maybe another 10 minutes) we left. If you already offer fixed times, you should stick to them!!! Very disappointed!!

What can I say? No matter when you visit the restaurant, it is always full. For me a sign that the food, service and ambience are TOP. In my opinion, the restaurant is one of the best in Bonn.

We had dinner here with several colleagues and I wouldn't come again. I paid around €40 and was still hungry afterwards. My colleague already mentioned in his review that the tiramisu I ordered was about the size of a normal bank card. No, it wasn't as high as the Eiffel Tower. If I were to lick a stamp, the starch in the glue would probably have more calories 😂 But don't stress, the tiramisu "only" cost €6.90. Well, yes. There were three LED lights on our tables. The batteries in all three were empty. Card payments are only possible from 50€. But be careful, I once asked the reason... It was the fees! Uh, what? I pay almost €7 for a tiny piece of tiramisu, I pay a total of around €40 for one person, I don't even leave the store full and the 50 cent fee is too much? Sorry but no. Can't quite understand the good reviews here. I have nothing against higher prices if the price is justified. In my opinion that is not the case here. Parking is also rather difficult here.

"A real highlight in Bonn!" The Bonneria tapas bar is an absolute insider tip! The atmosphere is authentic and cozy, perfect for a relaxed evening with friends. The selection of tapas is impressive, and each one was a delight - we were particularly impressed with the gambas al ajillo and the bacon-wrapped dates. The service was very attentive and friendly, you felt completely at home. The quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail make a visit here something special. We'll definitely be back!

The food was rich. (fish platter). The vegetables were crisp and fresh. The Catalania crema was cold unfortunately. A simple vanilla pudding with a thin sugar crust. You know your way around wine. The coffee was like everywhere else. I think it's because of the machines. The service was very polite. The atmosphere is very spacious and winding and there is something for everyone. Overall, I felt very comfortable and thank you for that. We will come back more often to try the food. See you soon

The Bonneria is a straight 5. The tapas are excellent, service is quick and courteous and the whole place is beautifully designed

Today we were in the Bonneria with a total of 8 people, family. The ambience is very nice: furnishings, outdoor area, warm cozy light, nice tables and chairs. The service was friendly, reliable and quick. It is particularly suitable for large groups. We ordered a lot of tapas and most of them were very, very tasty (approx. 40 pieces, we only didn't like one, they all looked really delicious! Considering the delicious food, I'm almost sorry to now focus on very unpleasant things to have to put: There was a shrimp tail in the sweet potatoes, we hadn't ordered any shrimp at all - and it would have been unpleasant for vegetarians or a catastrophe for allergy sufferers. There is clear room for improvement when it comes to drinks. The scariest one was a “kitchen accident” in which a tack with a piece of cardboard got into my homemade iced tea. Luckily I discovered this before I had a drink. Of course I got a new drink in return and the following drink was on the house. A friend's glass was cracked and his drink spilled slowly out the side. The water glass, which was probably originally beautiful, lost half of its color and looked unappetizing. The long drinks were delicious, but the ice was skimpy, so the drinks quickly became useless when the outside temperature was 32 degrees. The drinks were also prepared differently, for example one Aperol Spritz had orange in it, the other had Kiele currants, which was very irritating. The mixtures were also so different that the same drink had different colors. Conclusion: I don't come here anymore, a thumbtack in glass spoils my "appetite". The food was very, very tasty and I recommend the restaurant for that. Be careful with the drinks, complain if necessary.

Nice ambience, very good service and good food. There are some very classic tapas, like other Spanish restaurants, but also some more special and unusual ones. The prices are a bit more exclusive, but okay. The subjective disadvantage is the San Miguel on tap, but many people probably don't care about that... Gladly again.

Somehow they've slacked off a bit....untypically for a Spaniard, there's no aioli with the bread...but at least there's another garlic dip for free. It tastes good too, but it's not an aioli. Had a mixed tapas platter... it was tasty but unfortunately it wasn't really warm anymore... that was exactly the case a year ago... the service could be more polite and warm, it seems a bit impersonal there. Maybe the job isn't fun? It's not exactly cheap either, but where else is it? But then you also want to feel welcome as a paying guest.

The price gives rise to expectations, and unfortunately the Bonneria only partially lives up to it in terms of food. The cuttlefish is tender, the potatoes are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the tapas are also delicious, but unfortunately the entire meal was mainly salty and I hardly noticed any of the other flavors. The ambience, on the other hand, is ideal for a romantic date.

I'll keep it short: with what you get on a Sunday with really not many people, you would have expected more. However, the service was overwhelmed, but very, very friendly! The quality of the meat was good but apparently the meat wasn't treated well. I think that the price-performance ratio is not appropriate.

The food is delicious and can only be recommended. Unfortunately, the service falls well short of expectations. So it takes a lot of effort to get drinks even after the food has already been delivered. The bread we ordered was only delivered after we asked again. An absolute no-go, however, is that you cannot pay by card. Unfortunately, this is not mentioned on the internet and the menu also states that card payments are possible from 50 euros. The “no card payment” sign at the entrance is outdated these days.

Der Service ist nicht gut: wir haben einige von unseren tapas gar nicht erhalten. Das Essen wird von Mal zu Mal schlechter, deshalb war das unser letzter Besuch. Die Süsskartoffeln waren teilweise roh. Alles ist zu fettig und hat nichts mit guter spanischer Küche zu tun. Leider dazu auch noch teuer.

The food is okay, but WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. I was really disappointed with the size of my portion. Paella, salads, tapas plates (not the individual ones) are okay. Individual tapas are also far too expensive.

The Bonneria in Bonn is a wonderfully atmospheric tapas and grill restaurant that spoils its guests with Spanish cuisine of a very high standard. The chefs in the house focus primarily on cold and warm tapas, steaks from, among other things, high-quality Argentine beef as well as grilled fish, prawns or a whole sea bream. The dishes impress not only with their freshness and good taste, but also with their appetizing, loving appearance. For culinary magic from Andalusia, the Bonneria in Bonn is a really hot tip.

If you value very good food but can live with poor service, this is the place for you.

On Sunday with 3 adults and 2 children we all ate tapas. Big compliments to the kitchen!!!! Dishes on point! Especially with prawns, baby octopus, mussels in a great tomato, onion...and so on. The service was quick, courteous and excellent! A little away from the terrace we had a table with splashing water, which we can only recommend as it was ideal with the boys. We always go to the Bonneria with friends or family. Thank you 🌞 it was a successful evening.

Das Essen war lecker. Meine negative Rezession bezieht sich alleine auf den Service und die Haltung des Service. Um 21:15 Uhr wurden wir gebeten zu zahlen. Auf meine Nachfrage wann denn geschlossen wird wurde mir dies mit 22 Uhr beantwortet. Zugegeben,wir waren mit 1-2 anderen Tischen die letzten Gäste. Um halb zehn wurde die Musik ausgemacht und alles war in Aufbruchstimmung und es wurde sehr deutlich ,dass man um diese Zeit nicht mehr als Gast gewünscht ist. Ich gewann den Eindruck, dass man auch früher schliessen könnte wenn die Gäste endlich gehen und dafür tat man auch alles um deutlich zu machen ,dass man gerne Feierabend machen möchte. Wenn ich in die Gastro gehe und diese bis 22 Uhr geöffnet hat dann erwarte ich auch,dass ich diese Zeit auch in gemütlicher Runde verbringen kann. Sonst gehe ich in eine Imbiss Bude! Wer um 21.30 Uhr die Musik ausmacht und um 21:15 Uhr abkassiert der muss es sehr eilig haben!!! Danke, aber ich möchte in so einem Ambiente dann nicht essen und auch keine gemütlichen Abende verbringen.

I've only been to the Bonnerie once so far, but it will stay that way. The restaurant is not bad, it is well attended and well rated, but it is too touristy for me, a bit tastelessly decorated, quite uncomfortable, the service is overwhelmed in places and the prices are pretty decent. I think €9 for 4 slices of Serrano and €13 for an approx. 15 cm long skewer of US beef is VERY salty. The plated meals are ok, but also priced at the higher end. Bonn insiders know better shops with better food for better prices and better service.

If you want to eat here you better think twice. The prices are unreasonably high. The quality of the food leaves a lot to be desired. Everything is very greasy and tasteless. Do not order crab claws, you will receive processed, breaded fish leftovers. Because of the water I drank, my kidney stones started moving. I don't know where they get it from but the staff claimed that the water didn't come from the tap. The omelet wasn't bad if made unsupervised by a five year old girl. The spinach was so rubbery that it was very difficult to swallow. The most delicious thing was bread and some kind of sour curd with garlic, which for some reason they call aioli. I only give 2 stars for the friendly staff. The owner is not Spanish, says everything about the tapas bar.

The biggest problem was the service. Without words... Every 10 orders go to the kitchen. 9 are served and one meal was canceled because it was "out". It's a mystery to me that the staff would think of something like that and everyone would have their food brought to them. Despite repeated references, an insert was not brought until the end. Ordered drinks only came after repeated requests. Out of 3 steaks, one should be well done and 2 should be medium. All three steaks were well done and two people didn't find that funny. The rather expensive store is definitely not worth another visit.

I always eat there because of the delicious paella mixta. I have never eaten such delicious paella anywhere, not even in Spain. The service is very good and the atmosphere is very pleasant to sit in.
