A little gem with exclusively plant-based food 💚

We had the three-course menu on Friday evening. It was, without exaggeration, one of the best meals I've ever had. The most deserved 5 stars in a long time. Service was world-class. The atmosphere was really nice, especially when you sit outside. Unique. We will definitely be back.

There's always exactly one dish. This dish varies from day to day. So far, it's always been vegan and delicious.

We arrived almost at closing time, not only were we allowed to eat there, the owner even prepared something especially for us because part of the menu was already gone. Food was very very tasty! And for the price it is simply great! Highly recommended :)

Mega tasty, like grandma's 🥰 Staff very nice. There are 1 to 2 options on the menu every day. You can park on the street (1 hour free) because the food is served so quickly. We'll definitely go there again.

There was only one dish to choose from at lunchtime, friendly service at a small African snack bar. Everything fresh with lots of beans and plantains. It didn't suit my taste, it was more like a stew. The atmosphere was also chaotic. That still leaves room for improvement

Anyone who likes vegan food will be happy here. Great portions for lunch for just €10 including delicious plantains. Nice service and very friendly owner who explains the concept of the shop to newcomers with the patience of an angel.

We had the dish of the day that consisted of rice, chickpeas with vegetables and a creamy tomato sauce with vegetables as well. Then there were fried bananas and potatoes patties. Portions are huge, the staff is very kind and the atmosphere is cosy and informal.

No frills, just a solid, vegan lunch. Absolutely reasonably priced and always delicious.

The portions are large and since I have a hard time getting full, this is perfect. I really enjoy being there.

Super leckeres und authentisches veganes Essen. Jeden Mittag gibt es stets wechselnde afro-Karibische Küche. Extrem authentisch und stets sehr große Portionen.

Unglaublich leckeres Essen! Sowohl die Mitarbeiter*innen, als auch der Besitzer sind super nett und aufmerksam. Bongoroots ist das beste Restaurant in ganz Tübingen.

Eine echte Perle: Die Kürbissuppe war sehr fein abgeschmeckt, sie hätte locker aus einem Sternerestaurant stammen können. Auch die Kochbananen, Saitan und andere unüblichere Zutaten im Hauptgericht waren ein tolles Geschmackserlebnis. Die Inhaber sind sehr freundlich und auf die Zufriedenheit der Kunden bedacht. Ich werde wiederkommen!

Sehr lecker! ... Freitags Abend gibt es ein (sehr reichhaltiges) veganes 3-Gänge Menü.

Mittagessen war sehr lecker. Es gab eine große Portion. Preislich vollkommen gerechtfertigt. Wir kommen gerne wieder :)

Hier gibt es gehobenere Afrika vegetarisch Küche. Für besondere Anlässe sehr zu empfehlen, jedoch sollte man früh, da man sonst keinen Platz bekommt. Essen hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt, war eine andere Seite von anderen Essen als nicht vegano. Der Service war ebenfalls sehr freundlich.

Mitten in Tübingens Wohngebiet in der Südstadt kann man mittags vegan und bei bestem Service ganz vorzüglich speisen. Sehr gutes afrikanisches/karibisches Essen und familiär herzliches Ambiente. Absolut top auch das Catering!
