The atmosphere of the place is really nice and welcoming. For those interested in Turkish culture, it is definitely a must visit. In addition, Mr. Nuri, who works at the bar, took special care of us and we were very satisfied. If you come to Dortmund, I can only recommend a visit!

The food was outstanding! We were impressed by the fresh ingredients and the harmonious combination of flavors. The juicy meat and perfectly seasoned vegetables were particularly enjoyable. The dip rounded off the dish wonderfully. We enjoyed every bite and would love to come back! Plus, the atmosphere was really cool – stylish, cozy and ideal for a long, relaxed conversation.

Great restaurant with ordering stations like the chain with V. Great relaxed atmosphere with excellent food from Kurdish-Turkish cuisine with oriental influences. Absolutely recommended and there were still plenty of free places available even on a Saturday lunchtime.

Very bad experience - never again! After waiting for over an hour, I asked for my order. The employee obviously couldn't remember and asked me what I had even ordered. Then I saw him just throw the food into the pan right in front of my eyes - it was clearly not fresh food, but warmed up frozen food. For me that is unprofessional

Price-performance ratio was totally wrong, small portions, expensive despite self-service and unfortunately the food didn't taste good at all.

Offering frozen food for these prices is beyond outrageous. I had a Beyti Köffteli with frozen burger patti. The salad would actually be quite good if the finished chicken breast strips hadn't been there, where you had the feeling of chewing on rubber. In addition, many dishes could not be ordered. The reason for this was they don't make these dishes on weekends. Very unfortunate.

The concept here is based on self-service, i.e. ordering and picking up food and drinks yourself using a QR code. I think the comfort falls by the wayside. The restaurant itself is decorated in an oriental style, a bit sparse. Service staff helped with questions about the procedure there, but it was still not for us with 4 people. That's why we changed the restaurant.

The food at bona'me is excellent...what I ate there! Meze, oriental salad with goat cheese and truffle sauce, sometimes pide or sometimes manti... Everything is freshly prepared and the portions are very generous. I can't judge the service well because you stand behind the kitchen and pick up your food yourself. Of course the employees were nice and helpful! In Dortmund the atmosphere is rather robust and the furniture is not very attractive. There are oriental lamps and teapots hanging on the wall everywhere. It's definitely clean. The interior is always a question of taste! I would like to eat there again because the price is good. My last salad with chicken cost a total of €18!

I can highly recommend the Bona'me in Dortmund. The ambience is oriental, which is cozy and pretty. It is a self-service restaurant. The menu is accessed using your cell phone using the QR code at the table. The dishes on the menu are presented with photos, which I find very practical. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is very tasty and everything is beautifully presented. The appetizer platter and my vegetable chicken Beyti were delicious 🤤

A true feast for the senses! We were completely impressed by this oriental restaurant. The dishes were an explosion of flavors - from the perfectly spiced mezze to the succulent main course like Köfteli Beyti. Everything was superbly prepared and beautifully presented. We were particularly impressed by the selection of spices and the attention to detail in each dish. The service was warm and courteous, you felt like a guest of honor. The hospitality is admirable! The ambience with its oriental lamps and warm colors rounded off the evening perfectly. A must for lovers of oriental cuisine – we will definitely be back!

We went there again with my friends. We called and made a reservation at the last minute. The chef was very helpful. If you want to feel peaceful, you should definitely visit this atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and warm. Normally self service but the chef was very polite and good at bringing the food to the table. I can highly recommend Beyti, it was delicious. We'll come back as soon as possible, thank you very much🤗

We visited the restaurant on December 27th, 2024 and were initially impressed by the beautiful decor. But unfortunately that was also the positive. We wanted to try something new and chose this atmosphere. However, as we headed towards the ordering counter, we were disappointed. The older man behind the counter, presumably the chef, seemed very unfriendly. The look on his face spoke volumes and we felt anything but welcome. The counter was empty, but no one cared about us. Instead of a friendly greeting, there was only a clumsy question: “What do you want?” No “Good evening” or “Here you go” – just nothing. We honestly considered whether we should leave a review, but with such an investment in a restaurant, the operator should ask themselves why the guests are staying away. It's no wonder the store is not very busy. The food was tasteless and completely overpriced for the price. For the same money we go to Selcuklu, where we are welcomed and given a first-class menu, and we are also served. It's really disappointing, especially after reading previous reviews but still wanting to form our own opinion and give the location the opportunity to prove you wrong. Dear operators, please invest in trained staff who offer guests truly warm service. The Turkish and Kurdish cuisine is extremely delicious - but unfortunately not at Bona'me Dortmund. The chef did a miserable job here. This is no way to treat guests. Best regards.

One of the chefs certainly didn't invent friendliness. The waitresses do their best, but this chef ruins everything. There will be no second visit. We also left the plates there, virtually untouched. We were then able to eat something delicious at another location.

A very nice restaurant, nicely decorated. You get a card to scan the menu, you choose and go to the chef. You order your dish and then receive a beeper to pick up the food when the dish is ready. It looked very appetizing, but it could have used a little more seasoning, especially the meat. The whole thing tasted a little bland, except for the yogurt/chilli sauce, which was very tasty. The prices and the portions are definitely okay. Was really full afterwards. All in all it was good.

A week ago I reserved a table for seven people. When we arrived yesterday we were only five minutes late. Nevertheless, the manager immediately informed us in an unfriendly tone that we should have called to report the delay. He also said that our table could have already been given away, but he "generously" let us take a seat. We found this reaction to be extremely inappropriate, especially since there was no greeting or polite reception, but instead only criticism in a loud and unfriendly tone. Unfortunately, the disappointing evening continued. One of our orders was taken incorrectly and although we pointed this out, the pide chefs simply ignored it. Instead we were simply made a new pizza, without any apology or explanation. To make matters worse, the next day we discovered that we had been incorrectly charged for a bottle of wine on the bill. With the receipt as proof, we called the restaurant again and spoke to the manager. But here too we were treated unkindly. He claimed it was an IT issue and that the price was correct, indirectly putting the blame on us. Only after we insisted that this was not our fault and asked for clarification did he offer to refund the 12 euros - but only if we emailed him our IBAN. We found this approach to be unprofessional and there was no form of apology. Overall, we felt that the manager had no interest in adequately resolving the situation or addressing our concerns. Instead, we were accused of being difficult and needless to discuss. Given the numerous problems - from rude behavior to incorrect orders and incorrect billing - we would have expected at least some accommodation, for example a partial discount on the bill. Instead we were fobbed off with a loveless “Send us your IBAN”. The phone call itself was also not very professional, with a rude tone and noticeable noise in the background. Overall our experience was disappointing and we will not visit the restaurant again. Very unfortunate. Under no circumstances would I recommend this restaurant!

Pleasant atmosphere, delicious food, interesting cocktails

We have been regular guests for years. Excellent breakfast and very nice staff. There was also a small birthday present on top. Always my pleasure.

Were there with a grandchild. The service tried really hard to organize a reasonable table for us because of the high seat for our little one. The food is great anyway. Great shop

I don't understand how they can say that the staff here was "not friendly". I guess they didn't see the other cafe restaurant staff around them :) Their manager Mr. Lutfu is always active inside the restaurant. The concept and decoration are great, as is the food 👍🏻

Service leaves a lot to be desired. The owner throws you out of the restaurant if you talk to the staff and insists on your property rights. The owner probably doesn't like talking to the staff and getting recommendations, since as a guest you're keeping the staff from doing their work. The constant change in personnel also raises questions! We will not visit the restaurant again and will not recommend it to anyone!

I eat here often and from the lovely service to the food/drink it is always a 10/10. 😍 Thank you for everything and see you next time!

Sorry but unfortunately it hardly tastes good! The meat on the pide is very dry and unappetizing! The cheese sauce is anything but a cheese sauce! You can prepare Dürüm fresh in the oven instead of this wholesaler flatbread! That tastes like cardboard! You use almost this limp bread for everything. Your pasta is hardly tasty, but rather like fast food, everything is given to the customers as quickly as possible! Without taste and aroma! Sorry Bona'me, but if you don't want to close in a few years. Then focus on quality and get a real chef!

Since I was alone, I couldn't keep getting up to get food or drinks. The general manager was incredibly attentive and told me to stay seated and enjoy the game - he would bring me everything. This attention made the evening perfect. Many thanks to the Bona Mee team for the great service!

So unfortunately disappointing for me. I chose the restaurant based on mostly good reviews. The menu also sounded diverse to me at first. My husband and I had imagined a romantic evening with good Turkish food. Unfortunately, that didn't work at all on site. We got a seat at the "shop window" next to the door. We only noticed the ambience with beautiful oriental seating from a distance. This ambience was only present sporadically. There was nothing romantic about the impersonal atmosphere with scanning the menu on your cell phone, then scrolling back and forth all the time, picking up food yourself, etc. The selection of food on site wasn't diverse at all. For me, as a vegetarian, only one dish was an option; my husband, who eats everything, also had difficulty choosing what to eat. The starter plate with dips tasted really good, we were almost reconciled. Unfortunately we didn't particularly enjoy the main courses. Unfortunately, oriental food without a family atmosphere and personal touch doesn't suit me at all. We prefer good, well-known Turkish restaurants in Dortmund-Nordstadt!!

Been there for the first time. And what can I say??? Super!!! The dishes all looked and tasted great. We were given information about how things work in this restaurant. Everything else follows from the given stars. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Nevertheless, you had to pick up your food and drinks yourself from the outlet. This seemed annoying because the conversation was interrupted every time. But that's because of this concept. Nevertheless, we will visit this location again. The food was just SUPER great.

The concept didn't convince us. The menu only has a QR CODE, so you then scroll back and forth, which is confusing and annoying. Then no service. That's annoying too. We wanted to chat with several people and enjoy the food together + at the same time, not constantly running around and picking up and scrolling again.... So we left without ordering anything.

Everything was beautiful. The fact that it's self-service only is a bit worrying, but other than that everything was perfect and the food was very good.

Mega tasty Turkish food, very cozy atmosphere and large selection of drinks. I like to come every weekend.

So the taste is so bad that I definitely don't recommend it. Rarely have I had such a bad pide dough. The pastirma is lifeless and dry of poor supermarket quality. The cheese was solid. So that's definitely better.

New restaurant in Dortmund. We were there on September 20, 24 around 8:30 p.m. We had table number 19. We were immediately disappointed. The appearance is clouding! The ambience is beautiful but you can tell that the food was saved. Our food was completely burnt and charred. It was inedible. For the price this is impossible and incredibly cheeky.

Service 1 star because here, like at Vapiano, you are not served. Food was very good. The waiting time was normal & reasonable. A little too expensive in terms of price.

Went there for breakfast at the weekend. Half the staff was cleaning etc. while we wanted to eat. It's not particularly pleasant. My wife had half her breakfast wrong. In principle, you pick up the food yourself and there is no service at the table. At these prices I expected much more. Unfortunately, more appearance than reality. There was no water for washing hands in the men's toilet. The staff was very friendly throughout. All in all rather disappointing unfortunately.

Today we ate at bona'me Dortmund for the first time. The first impression was that the system saved jobs (no service staff to serve). I also wanted to order a dish that was marked CHICKEN CURRY on the menu, but was unsuccessful because it was already sold out. The question that arises here is how can a dish that is marked on the menu and is supposed to be freshly prepared be sold out on a Saturday afternoon?! So far so good, then I decided on Chrispy Beyti & Sucuk, which in turn made his seahorse fat in a tub full :). My conclusion is that I don't need to eat there again. Price performance does not match.

We had lunch at Bona'Me with a couple who were friends of ours. We quickly remembered the concept of a “pasta franchising chain”. The orders are placed at the respective stations and can then be picked up. The preparation was quite quick. The food was good but nothing exceptional. The dishes have been greatly modified and adapted to the local palate. We would have been more happy about authentic Turkish dishes. We were missing the sophistication and the variety of spices. We were full because the portions were generous. We would have preferred small but more authentic portions.

The food is very tasty and high quality. There is hardly any service because you have to get everything yourself. I sometimes find it a bit inconvenient because there isn't enough space at the counters for all the waiting guests. This leads to unnecessary crowding. The atmosphere is nice, it's informal and you enjoy spending time there.

The food is generally quite good. But there are much better options in the northern part of the city. And the concept just isn't particularly appealing. Service is non-existent and the prices are too high. This may work to some extent with Vapiano, but unfortunately it doesn't work here. Can neither particularly recommend nor advise against it.

Yeah, it was okay. Quite tasty but nothing special either. I didn't think it was great value for money because there's virtually no service there and you have to get everything yourself. The atmosphere seemed quite sterile. If you are starving this shop could save your life, if not I would rather eat somewhere else.

The ambience looks very nice. It's almost like Vapiano except the food tastes really delicious. It was the tastiest beyti I've eaten so far have.

Starter plate was good, main course nothing special. The cards without prices are annoying. Some of the staff speak German poorly and the exhaust air was broken that day. After the visit you had to shower because you smelled like grease.

You can drink really great coffee there 😀.

Unfortunately I was very disappointed I definitely ordered the dough (the bread) around the meat was very dry and hard .. but edible due to the sauce and the meat inside tasted artificial .. the dessert (cake) fell apart and was very cold and it was already too dry as if it were several days old! I was hoping for more from the restaurant! I hadn't even finished eating and someone came and asked if they could clean up, which surprised me because I still had food on my plate. My visit to Bona'me in Dortmund was a complete success! This oriental restaurant not only offers a fantastic selection of delicious dishes, but also an atmosphere that takes you straight to the Orient. The food tasted better than other shops around Reinoldikirche and the employees were so nice that they asked more often if everything was OK and if the food tasted good than once. It took a while for the food to be ready because the restaurant was full. Many people discovered the restaurant who had never been there before. I can only recommend visiting. the wait is 100 percent worth it.

I was there with a friend last week and we ordered something to eat. When the food arrived we found 2 hairs in it and told the owner. He was incredibly unfriendly and accused us of orchestrating the whole thing ourselves. Unbelievable, I've never experienced anything like this in my entire life. I would never eat there again, not because there was hair in the food, but rather because of the terribly unfriendly manner of the owner. I would never put money in someone like that again. Terrible.

No care was taken in cooking the food. It was like it was made just for cooking. My advice to future guests is: If you have good taste, I wouldn't recommend us.

There are not many options on the menu, the ones that are not very successful, I bought chicken farm hair and my friend bought the couplet. The taste of the food was terrible. They did not take any care while making the food. They need to improve themselves a little more in terms of service, after all, the customers who come there come for service.

We got a table for 2 people without a reservation because it wasn't very full. The self-service concept applies to food and drinks. We decided on Pide. The gentleman preparing the pide was very unfriendly. The Pide Black Angus was very sparsely topped with meat and also very sweet due to the extremely large amount of peach chutney. I think the price-performance ratio is overpriced, at least for the Pide.

I have no idea what the concept is trying to say. It's like fast food Turkish but without the Turkish flair. Been there once and that's enough.

I was at bona'me with my family today. The food was very tasty - there is also plenty of vegetarian options to choose from. We had lentil soup, a large starter plate and beyti (vegetarian). As far as the ambience goes, I was a bit disappointed. The wall decorations and lighting are in Kurdish-Turkish style, but the tables and chairs are more in a hip bar style. Plus bar music with bass. That doesn't really fit.

Might be the worst restaurant we've ever been to. My wife bought pita with Angus meat, and I bought chicken chicken. God forbid it was really awful. The employees are friendly, but since we were not full, there was nothing to do, I had to leave my meal unfinished:( They have their own ice tea and pomegranate sherbet. As you know, they added a sweetener or two to the soda, but I do not recommend it. And prices are above average!

The restaurant is a self-service restaurant. At the entrance you get a card with 50€. You have to hold this over a scanner at the serving areas for every order, whether drinks or food, in order to get what you want. In addition, everyone needs a scanning app on their cell phone to download the menu, there is no menu that can be handed to you. For your food order you get an electronic piper that is about the size of a beer mug. He beeps when the food is ready and you can pick up your food. However, if you have a disability, the service will of course bring you whatever you would like to table.
