Super nice staff and a beautiful location. Tastes delicious. Highly recommended

We were there today, on Easter Sunday, with the family of 14 people. We ordered drinks pretty quickly. Unfortunately, it took forever for these to arrive. Two apple spritzers were too many. The waitress (blonde, short hair) ignored the fact that two people still didn't have the bikes they had ordered a long time ago. After at least 30 minutes we were finally able to toast. We also ordered the food very quickly. After 75 minutes the main courses arrived - the starter I ordered (asparagus cream soup) didn't come at all. The mayo that several people ordered also only arrived after repeated reordering. The grill plate should include homemade “tomato jam”. That was also the case for two people. For me and another person, they simply served a different sauce. When a waitress asked about it, she said the tomato jam was out. Instead of proactively informing the guest about it, you just try it. There was a brief apology, but there was no offer to get a different sauce. When it came to the grill plate (very tasty), the beef was unfortunately grilled and therefore dry. There was an apology for this too but no offer to correct it. The salad buffet was really delicious. However, this is a small refrigerated counter from which only one person can take something at a time. Therefore there is a queue and there are constant refills, which further disrupts the process. That's not possible in a restaurant this big. During the whole time we kept sitting on dry land for long periods of time because no waitress showed up to ask if anyone wanted something more to drink. When we wanted to pay, the worst thing happened. The waitress (blonde, short hair) said individual payments would be too difficult for such a group and therefore only a total bill would be possible. We then emphatically refused to do this - we insisted on paying per family (4 families). The waitress then cheekily directed us to the checkout - so we stood in line like in a canteen to be allowed to pay. When I remarked again that I didn't get the cream of asparagus soup, I only received a curt "yes, I'm sorry". So the location, the taste (except for the beef) was absolutely fine for the slightly higher price segment. Service quality, deviations from the order, waiting times, handling of complaints and in particular the sometimes outrageous behavior, especially of the female waitress, is simply unacceptable. For this reason we will not visit this restaurant again. At this price level there are plenty of alternatives where being a paying guest (14 people) still counts. Here you are worth nothing as a guest.

Unfortunately, instead of Cola Light as described on the menu, Cola Zero is served.

The Bohler Heide is located in the middle of the forest and yet is easy to reach. You can take lovely walks around and there is also a small outdoor enclosure with red deer. The cuisine is solid, tasty and the portions are big enough. In the afternoon there are some home-baked cakes to go with your coffee. The ambience ranges from dignified to conservative. The stay is rounded off by the very good service team.

Registered for a larger group on Sundays with advance reservation. Attractive location. We ate different dishes and everyone was very satisfied. You could tell from the waitress that she had been doing the job for a long time. She also poured at the table with calmness and yet speed. The restaurant was full and yet the staff worked calmly and quietly. We only saw the cakes when they were brought to the table. They were really impressive. We'd love to come back

We were invited to a wedding, food, drink and service were very good.

Last night we had dinner in the restaurant with two people. We were greeted with hello, darling, and you by a waitress... strange... we ordered a grilled plate and grilled vegetables with fries and Bernaise sauce (€5.10!!!) The meat on the grill plate was completely dry and over-grilled and the slice of bacon was almost burnt and inedible. Everything was totally over-seasoned, only the salad from the buffet was good. The Bernaise was clearly pimped out of the bag and looked stiff like pudding after just a few minutes. The vegetables were also very strong and strangely flavored. After complaining to the waiter and two half-full plates being returned, only the answer came. ...I'll pass it on to the kitchen. The worst thing, however, were the hours that followed, with stomach cramps, nausea and frequent trips to the toilet. Absolutely not recommended!!!!!!

Good restaurant located in the Eschweiler Forest. Often visited by older people. The food has a slightly Croatian touch. Seasonally there are also very good game and mushroom dishes.

We were there for Christmas dinner. The menu was very clear, but there was only one vegetarian option, which was probably due to the Christmas menu. We ordered the veal cordon bleu and a beef pepper steak and found it really tasty. The steak was cooked perfectly and the cordon bleu was also great. For dessert we ordered the Dubai Mouse, which also impressed us. The service was very nice and professional. Overall the atmosphere was very familiar. We really enjoyed the visit!

Went there but couldn't sit outside because everything was wet. It was too stuffy and loud inside for us. We weren't even allowed to order a drink after our walk with our disabled son. So I have no idea whether they are friendlier to others.

When the two of us arrived spontaneously at 6 p.m., we wanted to sit outside. All seats are reserved, was the answer. But there are still so many places available, we won't stay that long. To which another person replied: They're all coming now! To be honest, I didn't believe it and that wasn't the case. We were directed inside. ☹️ From there it was easy to see that there were still free spaces outside. The chanterelles in cream were very delicious. I don't eat large portions, but I would have liked it to be a little larger. The bowl was the size of a dessert bowl. The table and the remaining bread were quickly cleared away without asking. The ambience is very nice. We personally didn't like the way they were treated. I feel more comfortable in warmly run restaurants.

Busy, but still good service, quick preparation and tasteful.

The food was very disappointing for the prices! Let's start with the salad buffet. This is not a buffet, this is a trolley, very disappointing! The main course was salmon with potatoes. These were the first potatoes in my life that I had to season with salt. Even then, they didn't taste like anything. A lot of butter was poured over the salmon, which was way too much for me personally. I didn't find the alleged herb butter. The rest had schnitzel with fries and pepper/cream sauce as the main course. The fries were tasteless and unappetizing. The schnitzel was apparently deep fried with a very lackluster sauce. The atmosphere was extremely old-fashioned and uninviting. A clear no thanks and never again. The young waitress was very nice.

I was invited to a baptism there. There was a grill plate, Djuvec rice, croquettes, and a salad buffet. Turkey was so hard and dry, unfortunately died 3 times, bacon limp, steaks so-so, meatballs, or whatever it was supposed to be dry. What was edible were the cevapcici. No bread, no sauce (e.g. tzatziki) pot of mayo and ketch up ???? The only thing from the salad buffet that was really fresh was the green lettuce and the carrots. The sideboard is more than loveless. The service was also disastrous. Neither bottles nor used water glasses were cleared away. Soft drinks had to be drunk from the bottle unless you could find an unused water glass. The ambience and surroundings are very nice, but unfortunately they don't outweigh the rest. I can only hope that the host doesn't have to pay much for it. But I've heard that the prices are quite steep. Poor host!!!!

Even if the average age of the guests is over 60, you can also eat well and plentifully here even if you are not retired. The prices are reasonable and the service is very attentive and courteous. The location in the forest encourages walks before and/or after meals.

Clocky restaurant with adjacent wildlife enclosure. Outdoor terrace available. The service was friendly and attentive. The food tasted good and was fresh. The perfect place for a Sunday dinner with grandma or a beer after a walk in the forest.

Best waiter in all of Eschweiler. Great food and generally best to try it yourself. All I can say is that I always enjoy being there.

The restaurant has the charm of a canteen - it's suitable for the older building dates - the steak was well-done - the salad buffet, i.e. the trolley - gave the impression that there was already a football team there - the staff was perfect - I think the boss doesn't enjoy it anymore - but that is subjective - ready-made sauces but that's okay - they're also quite good - so that's it for us - an outdated menu - and overpriced - a shame

We were guests here at a family celebration. The room is ideal for a larger celebration. There is enough space and you can also present lectures without disturbing the other guests. Afterwards you can also go for a wonderful walk there. Often even in the snow in winter.

Dear innkeeper, your menu needs to be revised I think the chef can do more.

Very good food and nice service

We were there on Boxing Day. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was good quality. The selection is rather limited. The portions are a bit small. The prices are a bit overpriced as expected at Christmas. The atmosphere is very sober, with little Christmas decorations.

Von unserem letzten Besuch war ich leider sehr enttäuscht. Meine Oma hat uns alle zum Essen in dieses Restaurant eingeladen. Früher war ich bereits sehr gerne hier essen. Leider ist der Abend alles andere als positiv in Erinnerung geblieben. Zunächst ist mir aufgefallen, dass es kein einziges Hauptgericht aus Hähnchenfleisch gibt. Es sei denn, man entscheidet sich für einen Seniorenteller, den ich mir mit 27 Jahren doch eher nicht bestelle. Auf meine Nachfrage, ob man den Grillteller auch ohne Schweinefleisch bekommen könnte, hat die Bedienung sehr unpassend reagiert. Tatsächlich wollte man mir erklären, dass der Teller dann nur aus Steak und Hähnchenfleisch bestehen würden und ich ihn doch besser so bestellen sollte, wie er auch angeboten wird. Nach langen Diskussionen wieso und weshalb man kein Schweinefleisch isst (was ja schon unangebracht genug ist), wurde die Bestellung dann mürrisch entgegengenommen. Der Koch hatte wohl weit aus weniger Probleme mit der Bestellung und hat mir und meinem Partner einfach ein Steak und ein Putensteak mehr drauf getan. Was ich wirklich sehr nett fand. Die Bedienung sollte lernen mit solchen Nachfragen umgehen zu können. Es kommt heutzutage ja wirklich nicht mehr selten vor, dass Kunden gewisse Fleischsorten nicht essen oder gegen verschiedene Zutaten Allergien haben. Vielleicht sollte man auch generell die Karte diesbezüglich erweitern und einfach ein paar Hähnchen-/Putensteaks mit verschiedenen Saucen anbieten. So schwer ist das ja nun wirklich nicht. Des Weiteren wurde von allen der Service bezüglich Getränke bemängelt. Trotz dessen, dass man sich öfters bemerkbar gemacht hat, wurden keine Anstalten gemacht uns weitere Getränke zu bringen. Vielleicht hatte die Bedienung auch einfach die Nase voll. :)

Ein sehr schöner Ort mit leckeren Speisen! Wirklich idyllischen Ambiente und sehr nettes Personal die gut beraten und gute Angebote anbieten. Man kann hier vom Alltagsstress fliehen und sich es gut gehen lassen. Saubere WC-Anlagen was heutzutage nicht überall verständlich ist. Wir werden aufjedenfall öfter kommen. Ganz liebe Grüße

Preis zu Treuer, Ambiente ok Bedienung einmal sehr schnell aber auch manchmal?

Sehr tolle und leckere Speisen. Die Auswahl ist sehr reichhaltig und auch an einer Kinderkarte ist gedacht. Personal sehr freundlich und auch Extrawünsche werden sofort umgesetzt. Restaurant ist gut besucht und von daher wäre eine Reservierung von Vorteil. Auch die Aussenterrasse biete im Sommer ein angenehmes Ambiente.

Wir waren zum Clubabend mit etwa 30 Mitgliedern im Restaurant. Die Bedienung war zackig drauf. Die Essensbestellung kam nahezu zeitgleich. Salat von der Salatbar zur Selbstbedienung. Das Essen war gut und die Preise sind angemessen. Sehr sauber und angenehme Räumlichkeiten mit Panaromablick zum Wald. Außenterrasse. Es war ein angenehmer Abend.

Wie ein kurz Urlaub fühlt es sich an, wenn man auf dieser Terrasse sitzt. Essen war hervorragend. Service immer top. Sehr freundlich und gut gelaunt.

Wir sind sehr zufrieden 🥰 wir haben unsere kleine, aber feine Hochzeit in der Bohler Heide gefeiert. Wir wurden super bedient das Essen war grandios. Alle Gäste waren super zufrieden. Und die Hochzeitstorte sah nicht nur gut aus, sondern schmeckte auch fabelhaft wirklich selten so eine leckere Torte gegessen. Wir bedanken uns, dass wir unsere Hochzeit bei euch feiern durften. Einfach klasse 👍🏻

Sehr gutes Essen. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die 2 Brüder im Service. Die eine Dame im Service hat leider unseren Kaffee vergessen. Dieser wurde uns erst nach erneuter Erinnerung gebracht. Eine Hauptspeise wurde auch falsch gebracht. Problem wurde aber gelöst. War nur schade , dass wir nicht alle gemeinsam mit dem Essen anfangen konnten .

Wir waren mit 11 Personen zu einem Geburtstag im Restaurant. Es war alles einfach top. Das Essen kam für alle zum etwa gleichen Zeitpunkt (erlebt man nicht immer) und es hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Der Kellner war sehr freundlich und hat auf alles was bestellt wurde sehr gut und umsichtig reagiert. Alles war sehr gut👍👍👍

Sehr freundliches Personal, das einen wahren Gaumen Genuss serviert. Gemütliches Ambiente mitten im Wald gelegen.

Das Restaurant ist umgeben vom Wald, was mir persönlich sehr gut gefällt. Nach einem langen Spaziergang kann man in der Bohler Heider lecker essen. Das Salatbuffet und der Grillteller sind jedesmal von gleicher guten Qualität. Die Suppen sind geschmacklich auch sehr gut, nur war die letzte nicht mehr warm und musste zurückgegeben werden. Der Kellner hat sich mehrmals entschuldigt und brachte direkt eine neue. Alles in allem kann ich das Restaurant "Bohler Heide" nur empfehlen.

0 Sterne wären eher angemessen. Furchtbar. Absolut unfreundliches und freches Personal, zu sehr von sich selber eingenommen und durch viel Kundschaft übertrieben eingebildelt geworden. Es gäbe keinen Kuchen, an einem Sonntag Nachmittag. Anscheinend wird man nur für viel Geld und überteuerte Mittagessen bedient, den Kuchen könne man ja mit nach Hause nehmen. Schade, denn die Bohler Heide hatte eine jahrelange Nachmittagskaffeetradition.

Etwas teuer...aber sehr lecker. Karte passend zur Jahreszeit und nicht so überladen. Service top...kann man sich gönnen. Gerne wieder. Mfg

Ik kom hier bijna elk jaar als ik mijn grootvader bezoek. De omgeving is erg mooi en het eten is zoals altijd heerlijk. De bediening is ook super gezellig en vriendelijk! Ik ga het erg missen :)

Gestern wieder sehr sehr lecker gegessen. Schöne frische Salate, leckeres Fleisch, köstliche Beilagen. Servicepersonal wieder sehr freundlich. Immer wieder ein Genuss.
