The service was incredible, our server was so friendly and accommodating, and the food was delicious! The restaurant itself was a welcome warm getaway from the cold, and had a friendly and inviting environment. Would absolutely go again!

A very nice, niche restaurant. The Bohemian cuisine isn't terribly different from what you'd expect from rustic fare in Lower Bavaria—no surprises for the palate. The portions are a good size. The beer is easy to drink. The Czechs certainly know how to drink. What stuck in my mind was that the staff seemed to consist entirely of Czech students. I've rarely experienced such a pleasant atmosphere. Tall, long blond hair, blue-eyed A-10. Speaks German better than any seasonal workers from North Rhine-Westphalia. They know the menu. Great. The decor is a stylish nod to the tastelessness of the Eastern Bloc. Lots of wood, hardly any room dividers. Consequently, the atmosphere is quite noisy when several tables are occupied. That wasn't ideal, but ultimately tolerable.

This high level of comfort and the successful conveyance of Czech hospitality are undoubtedly the restaurant's greatest strengths, making a visit a culturally enriching experience. In contrast to this overall positive atmosphere, however, are the pricing and the culinary execution of a key dish: the roast pork with Bohemian dumplings and sauerkraut. The price charged for this classic Czech dish is a significant point of criticism, as it is noticeably higher than what would be considered reasonable for a similar dish even in an upscale Bavarian restaurant or comparable establishment. This premium Munich price is completely disproportionate to the quality offered. The pork roast was nothing special – it lacked the exceptional juiciness or distinctive flavor one would expect at this price point. Soups and other regional specialties also often reflect the culinary artistry. The service rounds out the positive impression, generally being attentive and friendly. In summary, Bohemia Munich is a wonderful place to immerse yourself in Czech coziness – the ambiance is worth every penny. However, be prepared for prices for the roast pork and soft drinks that significantly disrupt the otherwise harmonious balance of the restaurant, as the culinary execution of this classic dish didn't deliver the expected excellence and the drink prices are extremely high.

I'm so blessed that I came to this place. Everything was PERFECT! We ordered goulash and roasted beef, both come with a soft dumpling. The meat was tender and well-seasoned. The dessert!!! So nice that I wanna book another ticket now back to Munich just for the honey cake (medovik). The waitress treated us (foreigner) very politely and with patience. I couldn't thank her enough. She found a table for us during the busy hour and introduced the dish. She was the best person I ever met in my 16-day Europe trip. HIGHLY RECOMMEND :D

We love Czech food! And that's why we absolutely had to try this restaurant. It was simply amazing! All three of us really enjoyed our meals. Both the main course (venison goulash with dumplings and lingonberries) and the dessert were delicious.

While searching for places I hadn't yet discovered in Munich, I ended up at Bohemia last weekend. It was actually quite busy, but the friendly staff managed to find a table for me. The goulash was fantastic and reminded me of my trip through the then-unfamiliar Czech Republic in 1995, where I ate goulash every day. I'll definitely be back!

We've been coming here for a while and decided to celebrate our wedding because my wife and her family are from the Czech Republic. The service is always incredibly friendly and attentive, and the new and cozy venue on Lilienberg was also plenty big enough for our wedding party (around 40 people). It was the first wedding at Bohemia, and the staff did a fantastic job. We started with a set menu of pumpkin cream soup and Svíčková (a type of Czech pastry), as well as a selection of cakes. Later, there was a truly excellent buffet. All our guests told us they found the food and drinks absolutely delicious. There's also a very good projector, which our guests used for a pub quiz and a video, and plenty of options for playing music. Attached are a few photos from our Czech-German wedding. We organized the decorations ourselves, but the preliminary discussions with Lenka and Ivo were extremely helpful. ...``` In that spirit, thank you again to Lenka and Ivo and the entire Bohemia team for this truly wonderful and unforgettable evening and for making it all possible! It's the kind of place that can completely change your perception of Czech cuisine and make your trip to Munich even more enjoyable. Even famous restaurants usually have at least one flaw, but everything here is perfect—the atmosphere, the flavors, and the friendliness of the staff. The food is truly delicious, even for Asian tastes, and I'm certain it's a place worth visiting more than once. This restaurant is so excellent that it almost deserves 5 stars. It's a restaurant that goes beyond changing your perception of Czech food and will make your trip to Munich a joy. No matter how good the reviews are, there are bound to be shortcomings, but the atmosphere, the flavors, and the friendly staff are all perfect. It's truly delicious, even for Asian palates, and I'm confident it's a restaurant worth visiting more than once.

Super friendly service, even special requests were fulfilled, the food was delicious and authentic, and prices were great. The only drawback was the ambiance. We sat in front of a large wooden wall unit from the 70s, the dark, unpronounceable food was very tasty. But it's also a museum restaurant... always happy to come back.

I finally had the time to have dinner at this restaurant yesterday. Simple decor and closely spaced tables on one side, and friendly, fast service on the other. I had the Kasseler with dumplings and horseradish sauce from the daily special. It tasted excellent, but the portion size was much too small for me. The meat was a maximum of 0.6 cm thick, and the four small slices of dumplings unfortunately didn't really fill me up.

It was absolutely delicious! The yellow pea soup was a hit. Unfortunately, we didn't have room for dessert, but they looked good too. We received very attentive and friendly service and felt completely at home. We'll be back next time we're in the area.

We went here again for dinner, and it was once again very good. The beer tastes just like in Prague, Plzeň, or Budějovice (Budweiser), both on tap! The food was very good, and the service, as well as the owner, was incredibly friendly. I recommend booking a table, though, because it's really popular here and all the tables are booked. We love coming here; it's worth trying the Bohemian cuisine 👍😄

I was there with my Czech fiancée on a beautiful summer evening. The food and the atmosphere really impressed us. The freshly tapped beer was delicious. The waiters and the owner, Ivo, were very friendly. My fiancée felt right at home.

If like me you think Pilsner Urquell is the best beer you have to stop by

The Bohemian is somewhat tucked away in the old district office, but if you know where to go, it's only a 2-3 minute walk from Gasteig, Museumslichtspiele, and the Muffathalle. The interior is a pleasant mix of living room and government office. The team is extremely friendly and quickly makes you feel like you're dining with friends. The menu is concise, but every dish is a highlight! Drinks include Kofola, a herbal lemonade that's somewhat reminiscent of cola with a Jägermeister flavor, but tastes very good, and a nice selection of Czech beers; the non-alcoholic dark beer is an insider tip. The daily menu offers a changing selection of soups and main courses. If a weekend trip to the Czech Republic is too far for you, head to the Bohemia and enjoy a pleasant evening.

One of the best Svickova I've ever had! And the beer is absolutely fantastic. You can only get such freshly tapped Pilsner Urquell in the Czech Republic! And the service is excellent! Definitely recommend it! 5 out of 5 stars

We went to eat delicious goulash yesterday. It was so good and so familiar because my grandmother used to cook it exactly like that. She was also Czech. Thanks to the great team, and we'll be back.

I'd really like to give it a higher rating because the server was very friendly and personable, but my meal really wasn't good. I simply had Bohemian dumplings with roast beef gravy. I often ate that as a child at my grandmother's, who, of course, was from Bohemia. It's a matter of taste, of course, but if a gravy tastes sweet, I'm unfortunately out. Especially if it also has a consistency almost like a puree. The dumplings probably tasted quite good, but were completely overpowered by the overwhelming sweetness. I found it excessively expensive that I was charged €9 for four small slices of dumplings with gravy. Sure, I could have asked beforehand, but the last dumplings I ate with gravy were large dumplings with delicious gravy, and they cost €3 each. So, I really can't recommend the gravy, and therefore also the roast beef. Other dishes probably taste better, but when I asked, I was told that the food here is more Moravian, meaning the food is sweeter than in the north, i.e., than in Bohemia. Sure, Bohemia and Moravia belong together and certainly have very similar cuisine, but calling a restaurant Bohemia and then offering Moravian cuisine is, well... I also had a large Coke, which apparently cost €5.30. Sure, I could have checked beforehand, but who would expect that? And it was almost non-carbonated. And besides. I don't know if there's another dining area, but calling the few tables and chairs along the sidewalk a beer garden is a bit of a stretch. At most, I'd consider it a terrace. Overall, I paid a hefty €14.30 and was, unfortunately, thoroughly disappointed. What a shame.

We were a group of five and thoroughly enjoyed the excellent Czech cuisine (including the beer and spirits). The service was very attentive and humorous. The restaurant was very busy—on a Wednesday evening—with families, singles, locals, and travelers—a diverse mix.

Located in the House of the German East, the restaurant offers high-quality, typical Bohemian cuisine. The small menu features typical dishes such as Swickowa beef roast with Bohemian dumplings. Excellent, just like my mother's, who was originally from Poland. The outdoor seating is particularly lovely, located on the car-free Lilienberg hill. The draft beer, Budvar or Urquell, is tasty, and the engaging, friendly service ensures you'll want to return.

Different yet familiar. We were here for the second time yesterday, and we were thrilled the second time around. The service is very attentive, friendly, and warm, especially the chef. The food is simply fantastic, rustic and honest, meaning well-seasoned, plentiful, and without any pretentiousness. Which brings us to the ambiance. The restaurant doesn't feel like a traditional restaurant, but more like a clubhouse. I personally like that a lot, because you immediately feel "at home" and comfortable. This isn't for the aforementioned pretentious people; everyone else should definitely try it!

A paradise for fans of Czech draft beer and Czech cuisine! I have been a guest several times and each time I have been impressed by the friendly service and the good cuisine. Here you can tell that the team in the kitchen understands the craft and enjoys doing it. The roast pork with dumplings and Moravian cabbage is highly recommended.

The best beef goulash and dumplings we had in Munich. The waiter and staff were very professional, polite and explained everything us in English patiently. On his suggestion we had green beer which is only available for a few weeks this time of the year. The best green beer and best goulash. I will visit again

Very authentic food and super nice service!

The new Bohemia has moved into the Sudetendeutsche Haus. The facility looks like a clubhouse. If you don't know the restaurant, it's difficult to find it. The food was okay, although the breaded Edam tasted a bit like old oil. I ate better food in the Czech Republic. The dessert, pancakes, was quite good. All in all, it wasn't cheap and the atmosphere in Giesing was almost more comfortable. Nevertheless, everything was satisfactory and the service was extremely friendly.

The entrance to the restaurant is through the building (in the middle). I have three reservations, but not seriously. There could be a little more CO2 in Kofola. Dumplings have an excellent taste, but there could be more (by one) or less meat. I missed the possibility to pay by card, but they say you will fix it within a month. You could also be open on Tuesdays. The food was excellent. Quality meat and very tasty sauce. I will definitely come again.

Our first visit, braised beef and goulash were perfect, fine matching beers, and you shouldn't miss out on dessert either. Extremely friendly and pleasant service.
