I've been vacationing in Lindau for 25 years. This was my first time here. Highly recommended.

We went there spontaneously on September 5, 2025, without making a reservation. We were lucky and got a table on the outdoor terrace. The two women serving were very courteous and friendly. We immediately felt at home. A traditional inn located next to a tennis court. The food was incredibly delicious. Large portions at a very fair price. Highly recommended. We'd be happy to come back.

Very friendly service, delicious food, and fair prices. They also offer a daily special at lunchtime during the week, which is even cheaper. My family and I are happy to be regular customers. Our kids especially love the schnitzel with potato salad.

The best roast beef with onions on Lake Constance, and all the other dishes are great too. Highly recommended, great service, friendly, and welcoming! As soon as I'm near Lindau, I'll visit the Bodolzer Dorfstüble.

The cheese spaetzle here are simply amazing!! Also, very tasty, authentic German cuisine and very friendly service. Yes, the prices aren't cheap, but in my opinion, you can rely on the quality here. Besides—where can't you rely on it these days? The best part: All dishes are also available to go!

Traditional German delicious food

We were there yesterday and had the Megaschnitzel for two people. The food was great, but we've never experienced anything mega before. The taste was really amazing, though. The staff was very friendly and quick.

Just the right thing after a long bike ride and the prices are absolutely OK.

Very, very delicious food! Highly recommend the schnitzel with potato salad and the hunter's meatloaf! Both are incredibly delicious. That's what you'd expect from a restaurant. You're happy to pay the price for the food! The servers were also super friendly and the other guests were pleasant. Highly recommended! We'll definitely be back. There's a €1 surcharge for changing the side dish (potato salad instead of fries), which is a bit of a shame, but otherwise great!

The restaurant may look unassuming from the outside (a typical sports restaurant), but for us, it was a real insider tip. The staff was exceptionally friendly, and we felt truly welcome. The roast beef with onions was exceptional—I'd almost say I've never had a better one. Highly recommended. My companion "only" had a baked potato, but it was also excellent, with a delicious dip and wonderfully marinated salads. Overall, we were thrilled and will definitely be back.

We enjoyed excellent food and drinks in the shade of the canopy, and the friendly service left us with pleasant memories of our visit. We'd love to come back next year.

Excellent food - roast pork and children's schnitzel - but with a "sports restaurant" atmosphere (very loud). Very friendly service. Prices have literally skyrocketed compared to 2022 (last visit): Pork schnitzel €19.80! Children's schnitzel €13.50!!! The children's schnitzel is so large that it would easily be enough for an adult or senior citizen. But you can't get it - the menu says it's only for children and teenagers ☹️ Dear owners: This isn't about "frugality," but rather about conserving resources. As you get older, you don't want mega portions, and on a bike vacation, you usually don't take the leftovers with you. That's why the menu says: "For the little ones with big appetites and the grown-ups with a little appetite" - then you'll easily get 5 stars 🙏

My husband and I were there for dinner this evening. We both really enjoyed our meals. I only ate half of mine as it was a very large serve (for me). The beer and the wine were very much enjoyed. The staff and service were second to none, thank you. I would recommend this restaurant to couples or families as it has a playground attached.

What more could you want? Good food, very friendly service, a simple atmosphere, yet very well integrated with efficiency 👍, and the preparation is fresh and of high quality 👌 Even with a touch of creativity, like the grillade (a dip with ingredients... tomatoes, spices, etc. - recipe secret) spicy, daring to use the appropriate spice.

No chicken dishes, except for one. Special requests were not welcomed.

Let yourself be pampered for a whole week, very friendly and quick service, very good and plentiful food, lunch with a daily menu, doesn't feel like a "sports restaurant", good, home-style cooking, good value for money, lovely beer garden, highly recommended.

Don't be fooled by first impressions—even though it's a sports restaurant, it's definitely worth a visit! The food was truly delicious, the service friendly and attentive. And today, on this quiet Sunday evening, we were able to fully enjoy the relaxed atmosphere.

We walked in and was greeted with a smile and such kindness. I explained I needed gluten free and the waitress and cook went above and beyond to make sure I could eat something there that was safe for my food allergies. The food was excellent. I didn’t have a reaction. We went back the next night but they were closed on Mondays. Will go back soon.

We chose the restaurant based on Google reviews and were not disappointed. The food was very tasty, the portions were good and the service was friendly. We used the catering service for more than 30 guests and it was outstanding! At our request, a wonderful vegan buffet was prepared. All guests were thrilled with the delicious menu! If you want classic Swabian cuisine with super tasty and generous portions, you should definitely go to the Dorfstüble!! If you want SchickiMicki you have to go somewhere else! We still cook down-to-earth and delicious home cooking here...I love it. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely come back. Clear recommendation!!

Very very tasty. We've been there several times now. The attentive waiters in particular cannot be praised often enough. They come every now and then to see how the guests are doing or whether they need anything. The food is fantastic. There is not one thing to complain about. Keep it up!

Today we enjoyed a really great lunch here - excellent, home-style cuisine with a real Swabian touch. Delicious, homemade spaetzle with a lot of sauce - you can (unfortunately) rarely find it in Hamburg. The service was super friendly and attentive, and particularly child-friendly. You can tell that the hosts really care about their guests - they even kept the restaurant open a little longer so that the last guests could finish their meal in peace. We will definitely stop here again on our next trip to the south or to Austria. Absolute recommendation!

Went there for dinner today and all I can say is: Super friendly service. The food is delicious, you can tell that everything is freshly cooked here and everything is homemade and nothing is ready-made from a bag. Price performance absolutely fair. Nice, cozy, rustic atmosphere. Can't understand the last review at all, that's why 5 stars! I'll be happy to come back thanks to the fact that there are still restaurateurs who put their heart and soul into their food and also value their guests.

The restaurant is obviously located in a clubhouse of the local sports club. Well-stocked selection of food. Good-tasting home-style cuisine, matching the ambience. As far as the price-performance ratio is concerned, we would all have liked a small side salad with the main courses.

Don’t judge the book by its cover, this is one of the best schnitzels we ever had and we’ve had lots of them!! Jumbo-schnitzel served with a big, delicious salad and fries. We also ordered delicious Spätzle and really good local Meckatzer beer. Very nice service, highly recommend! (Only German food, no pizza or Chinese)

Very friendly team and the best beef steaks far and wide. The onion roast is heavenly with lots of roasted onions on it, delicious sauce and the best cheese spaetzle I have ever eaten in a restaurant.

The Dorfstüble was recommended to us because it is close to our hotel. We were not disappointed. The food was super delicious, a young team from service to kitchen was simply ready to present something to the guests. Everything was very nice and friendly. Guest what more could you want. Price/performance is completely okay. In addition, you could get a senior portion with every dish... Plus point. We will come back on our next vacation.

We had our holiday apartment 200m from here and had dinner here 5 times during our 14 days of vacation. The quality of the food is excellent. We ate our way through the menu and all the dishes tasted first class. The jumbo schnitzel was cooked to perfection. It was juicy and had an excellent breading. It doesn't get any better. The portion size was also impressive. The price/performance ratio is very good. The outdoor area is excellent to sit in, but the dining room is also pleasant and although it is small, there is no unpleasant smell of food. The two waitresses were super friendly and helpful. A model of hospitality. We were completely satisfied. Many thanks to the Dorfstüble team. It's a shame that we are now 900 KM away. PS: Reservation is recommended!

The food was very good and plentiful.

The food is delicious and also sufficient. But a bit expensive and, above all, carelessly prepared. Simply put the schnitzel and fries on the plate and you're done. There is much more to it. When the place is full, there's somehow a lack of coziness. There are only 2 service staff, really nice and doing their absolute best, but with so many guests you have to wait a long time for drinks and food. Here the boss is making false savings.

Inconspicuous restaurant, which looks more like it was just a clubhouse. I was really skeptical. But ultimately an absolutely positive surprise!! We received an extremely friendly welcome, were served quickly and immediately felt at home on the terrace. Questions were answered. The food was outstanding! It wasn't difficult for the waitress to smile, even though it was good to do. She managed everything very confidently. We say THANK YOU!
