BOB'S Rock & Bowl Herbrechtingen in Herbrechtingen

I would like to take this opportunity to direct a very bad comment to the staff working here. We really love this place and enjoy visiting it in our free time, but we feel really discriminated against – because we come with two children or because we are foreigners… I really don't know. We are educated and well-mannered people, we don't need reasons for an argument. Tonight we ordered 2 pizzas, a salad, 2 juices, two beers, tea... both of us with two small children. We played table football and darts. We initially asked for another small plate so the children could share the pizza. The waitress charged €1.50 for it. A little later she very abruptly and rudely asked me to bring our child's water bottle to the car. For God's sake, we didn't come here to sit here and drink the child's water for free. Amen! I'm sorry that such a wonderful place and such amazing food could keep us from coming back!

I would like to give my opinion here, because when I read the negative reviews from one or two sports bowlers, I personally felt a little sour in my stomach. First of all, I have to point out that we are no longer in 1999, where the hall operator did almost everything for the sports bowler. Today in 2025 we are “sports bowlers” and as a local club from the Ulm / Heidenheim area we are dependent on the hall operator and we expressly distance ourselves from negative reviews from people or other sports bowlers who are not part of us and who obviously have no idea what they are writing! At this point I have to praise the service, counter, technology and lane maintenance staff. When we come to play on Monday or Wednesday, the conditions of the lane, run-up and machine correspond to our expectations!! I would say we have a good standard! However, since the tracks in Herbrechtingen are only maintained every 2nd - 3rd day, this can vary, but it's not a big deal. Sorry at this point, but if you want conditions like those at the Olympics or Bundesliga - please go to Munich or Stuttgart - but remember - you won't find your desired conditions there either!! I was playing in Fellbach recently, the pins were sliding back and forth and the balls stayed in front of the ball goal at least 5 times! So others also have technical problems!!! As far as staff are concerned, it can happen that they make a mistake when billing or book something incorrectly - they are only human! We have also made mistakes when calculating shoes, even if we have our own, but this usually happens once a year for us and is forgivable! As far as switching off the train is concerned - if the RUNNING TIME of XX minutes is entered when the train is switched on, the train switches itself off even after these XX minutes! (SO without the involvement of staff!!!!) THAT has nothing to do with switching off without consideration! Of course, if the lane is not occupied after the reserved time, it is possible to extend it by Malfunctions / incorrect counting / other problems… Due to increased electricity and maintenance costs, many hall operators will be switching from ropeless positioning machines to rope positioning machines in the next few years! Especially for smaller halls with 8 lanes, a ropeless GSX from Brunswick is not worth the maintenance costs. Unfortunately, not everyone understands that either. Errors when counting the pins occur with all rope machines, regardless of the manufacturer, and I have seen and experienced these myself too often. These arise, for example, when the corner pins are pushed into the gutter and remain there in the gutter. At this point I can say that the manufacturers are aware of this problem and are working on solving the problem. There is also the case that the pin is counted as fallen even though it is still standing, this has to do with the rope of this pin being pulled out a little by ropes from other pins when it falls over / flying across the pin deck / and this “standing” pin is then counted as fallen by the machine! You can find this problem at FUNK, BRUNSWICK; AND AMF rope machines! Oh yes, and if a pin is knocked down by another pin or its rope, this is valid and is called a rope rip. Finally, it should be said again that playing with your own balls and using personal bowling equipment is at your own risk. No liability is accepted for any damage - that's how it is in every bowling center! Conclusion! Every week again - this center is highly recommended and if you can't play bowling and have to skip it in the hall - I'm happy to give you lessons!

Everything went well with the bowling, but you could clearly feel that the team wasn't a real team. Almost everyone seemed unmotivated, it was just cleared away quickly, the main thing was that you didn't have to talk to the guest. I also waited 45 minutes for a burger, even though some tables were free. So don't tell me it's always full house on Fridays. Meanwhile, in the kitchen, I watched an employee shove food into her mouth. Sorry, I normally like to give tips, but something like that just doesn't work. Next time I'll eat somewhere else where the service is friendlier. Not a cent of tip earned.

Maybe we should start with the positive. It's clean. Also the hygiene area. Maybe because we were there right after it opened. The service at the train was also okay. But maybe because there were only four of us in the entire restaurant. The atmosphere is nice and is set up accordingly as a bowling and rock bar. Everything else was underground. The tracks are greasy at the start, making it really difficult to control the ball. Apart from getting your shoes dirty. The pins hang on ropes and throws of 9 are sometimes counted as strikes or not. The result shown at the end of the evening is more of a rough estimate than a reliable count. Whether your ball comes back or not depends on the goodwill of the machine. Sometimes balls are returned that were not played at all. Wherever they come from. After wasting a good 10 minutes on the service, the train is simply switched off at the end of the time without any consideration. You will only receive a credit note or something similar upon request and only if you have already listlessly changed your shoes. But the kicker comes at the checkout. Lanes are calculated with times that are theoretically not possible and shoes that you didn't even rent. Our example: Theoretically the train opens at 4:00 p.m. We only booked from 5 p.m. The calculated time was 16:54. Of course the price will be taken into account. The booking was scheduled to end at 7 p.m. The calculated time was 19:04. Of course the price is taken into account. The goodwill of the 10 minute service was completely ignored. Instead, they charged an additional 2 pairs of shoes even though we played with our own equipment including shoes. When asked, they said bluntly that the problems that had arisen were not their problem. After vigorous urging for all inconveniences, we were granted a discount that was closer to the actual price. Instead of the expected €53, we were “only” allowed to pay €50 for 2 hours minus the service times. Initially a little over €60 was required. Plus shoes we didn't even have. Conclusion: NEVER AGAIN! The store is not worth recommending. Worth advising at most. Maybe the food is good, but I'd rather go to a good restaurant. If you want to play bowling you should go somewhere else.

Had reserved a train from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m The pin and ball return machine is the worst I've ever experienced...sometimes the ball just doesn't come back at all until you call service, which then takes 2-3 minutes every time. You throw down 9 pins but the machine counts 10. Then the track was simply switched off about 5 minutes beforehand. When asked, it said that the track runs automatically according to the system from hour to hour... after 2 minutes the track was on again but after we didn't feel like playing this game anymore we were already changing shoes to go. At the checkout we were charged from 4:54 p.m. to 7:04 p.m. (every hour started had to be paid) plus 2 rental shoes that we didn't even have. The fact that you're complaining about bowling is embarrassing enough. We actually wanted to eat something at your place but you haven't seen a cent from me anymore. 1 star is even too much 😉

We were guests with the family. On a Saturday afternoon from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. with dinner at the end. The ambience is cool. Bowling went great, although the bowling shoes were getting old and needed to be replaced. Overall, a little renovation would be good here. The drink order came quickly and the service lady was really on point. Afterwards we tried everything from pizza to burgers. Everyone loved the food. It was warm and arrived at the table very quickly after ordering. Here I have to emphasize again that the maritime force did a great job. Even though it was getting really crowded, she kept a cool head and even asked during the meal if everything was okay or if we wanted anything else. BRAVO!! You don't find employees like that very often anymore. Toilets were also clean. Otherwise you can really spend your time here. There are also table football, billiards, darts and pinball machines. A really cool location to spend a cozy but varied evening with friends. - Bowling (2h): Smooth process, lane was available at the booked time - Darts: Machines in good condition, darts on the counter with enough replacement tips - Foosball table: Should be repaired! Missing screws in males! - Service: It was busy, but the service staff were friendly and attentive. It's not a bad thing to wait a while. - Food (almost all of us had burgers and exactly the same review - there were about 15 of us): Visually great. However, the burgers were a bit dry. More sauce would be good. But what I find very outrageous is the cost of "extras" --> charging 2.40 euros for an additional slice of cheese is a rip-off! (especially with the already high food prices!) There is room for improvement here! All in all, we'd love to come back.

Great ambience, cool decor. Definitely a top location for billiards or bowling. We won't eat anything there anymore. Fries mushy in spicy greasy sauce, burger not tasty. Friendly but overwhelmed service. Price-performance doesn't fit.

All in all, it was pretty good. Super organized shoe distribution for bowling. The food was quite ok. The only drawback was the volume, at which you could only communicate by shouting.

There were six of us there. First we had dinner and then we played bowling. For food: we all had pizza, which was also very good. The service is really subpar. Had to wait forever to place our order. Then we were brought 5x cutlery, there were six of us… Empty drinks etc. were ignored. When bowling, you have to get your own drinks at the bar. In the end, paying on top of that was a complete disaster. We had drinks on the bill that weren't even ordered. Update January 18, 2025 Again we were there with a large group, this time just for a drink. Order was taken immediately. However, we had to wait at least 20 minutes for them to reach us. A drink was brought twice again. When ordering again you had to wait another 20-30 minutes. Although you can see the drinks on the bar. The service seemed overwhelmed at times even though there wasn't a lot of activity. When paying in cash, it was immediately pointed out that there was no change. On a Saturday evening… Very unfortunate. The concept is really very good, but the service really makes you think twice about whether you want to do it again.

We went bowling with a group of 20 people. Reserved three lanes, which worked without any problems. The atmosphere and tracks were great. Drink service was chaotic and subpar. Therefore only a three star rating here.

It's a really nice atmosphere. Super cool staff. Mixed audience of small children, who can really run around there because there is enough space, up to the older semesters. You can play billiards well, although space is sometimes a bit tight. Super cool bowling alley and darts are also well placed. There are also a couple of slot machines including a cool pinball machine. A very original facility in every respect. The only thing that could be criticized is that the music is a bit too loud while eating and therefore normal conversation is not really possible. Service not good! Waiter was very unfriendly. Been there twice and couldn't order pizza because either we ran out of dough or we placed our order 5 minutes late. It wouldn't be bad if you said it in a friendly way. Waiter says “I’m not arguing, you can tell the kitchen yourself”. It was bad enough that he had longer nails than my wife (unkempt) I don't know if I'll order food there again when the guy works there

We wanted to play darts. When we checked out we said there was a group ahead of us, OK... after the second group we asked why we couldn't go... we just gave our money back without an answer. We ordered four drinks and got them after half an hour. Good mood but not at all anymore...

We are absolutely thrilled and now count ourselves as regular customers! Thank you so much for you! Of course everything can't always go the same, but hey, this is a young team that no matter what time we get there is always super friendly, in a good mood and everyone always gives their best! No matter what wishes we had so far, everyone always tried to fulfill them. After such a long time you just have to be grateful that there is someone who provides us with a great entertainment option that is varied and where you can also eat really well!!! I've been to you several times - to bowl, eat or play billiards. Today we celebrated your children's birthday and it was really great. The staff were all friendly and had a lot of understanding for the wild group of 7-year-olds. The birthday package is really reasonably priced - we paid a similar amount for an indoor playground last year. It was really a great experience for the children. I really like your pizza - the other dishes are also very tasty. Sure, the service isn't always perfect, but then you have to speak to each other politely and have mutual understanding. The customer also doesn't always know what's going on behind the scenes. We'd love to come back - stay as great as you are :).

Have at one Reserved on Monday. After bowling we wanted to have a delicious meal. Unfortunately, we were informed at less than 7 p.m. that there were no more pizzas available. Sorry. Unfortunately, a clear misorganization! Then we ordered burgers. Meat & quality was good. Unfortunately the burger buns were cold. A certain drink was also no longer available. When we received our food & drinks, there was no service for a very, very long time. And he didn't have much going on that evening. It's a real shame because the atmosphere is really great!

The bowling alleys are good. But you should plan a little further in advance if you want to play. The cable cars are often visited and booked. Great place. We definitely had a good time. The staff is great, the drinks were fairly mixed and the music was right. The toilets were sour and tidy. The food was good and the options for spending the evening there were varied. There are pool tables, dart boards etc and we had a lot of fun. So great shop and gladly again!

It would be the first time at BOB'S. The location is definitely OK for the younger generation. It was too sterile for me and the music was disturbing and incomprehensible. My John Wayne burger was ok. The burger sauce on my wife's cheeseburger had a strange, pungent taste. She couldn't eat it all (I heard from other people afterwards). The options for playing billiards, bowling, darts and table football are great. We will come again and try the pizza. Let's see if it can do more

We've been going bowling and eating there for a long time now with the hope that things have improved. Unfortunately, some of the expectations were not met. There's not much you can say about bowling. Reservation went well after about 45 minutes. A waitress came and took an order (the store was pretty empty). Now for the table reservation, we got a table where there was no light, there was a cable but unfortunately no lamp. The service came quite quickly and was just a bit overwhelmed with his device. The kitchen staff should coordinate better because the 2 pizzas were ready 20 minutes earlier than the rest, so you should plan the process better. Furthermore, some things arrived that were not ordered, such as: Sweet potato fries with cucamelon instead of simple fries, salads were completely forgotten. Water was ordered with gas but every time it came without. It was probably due to the service staff not being able to operate it. But everything was exchanged, which meant that we were never able to eat properly together. The women's toilet was completely dirty and there was no soap or towels in the men's toilet, which was only done after we asked for it, but something like that definitely shouldn't happen. All in all, you can go there for a relaxed bowling session, but you should probably have good nerves when it comes to eating.

The food is delicious and the ambience is great. Love to come here to bowl and play billiards. The burgers and pizzas are very tasty. Only the service ladies could be more attentive. Unfortunately it always takes too long for the orders to be accepted. And you are often ignored even though you are obviously looking at the waitress with the closed card in your hand.

Worse improved bowling center We often come to the newly taken over bowling center in Herbrechtingen. We also came to the former Bowling World restaurant at regular intervals. Setting up the bowling pins used to be better. With the new process of setting up the bowling pins, it often happens that the ropes with which the pins are attached become tangled. In addition, it takes quite a long time for the service personnel responsible to become familiar with it in order to solve the problem. Playing time is lost here, which is at the customer's expense! The cuisine is highly recommended, both the pizza and the burgers are excellent. You should also keep an eye on the toilets, as there is a lot of chaos here. Sometimes there is no soap, sometimes it is the towels, sometimes it is the overflowing basket for the towels. The urinal has been broken for eight months.

I can only recommend Bob's. The location is simply great, the food is really good and the service is really great. After our 2nd visit to Bob's wasn't that great and I talked to the management about it, we enjoyed the 3rd visit even more and were thrilled. The employees were extremely friendly and, above all, really attentive, they kept checking and asking if everything was okay and even our dogs were brought bowls of water as soon as we arrived. Really great 👍 That's why I can only recommend Bob's and if something isn't right, talk to the employees there. So we'll be back Isi 🙂

A good address for a quick snack but also suitable for small events such as birthdays or larger events for company celebrations. Bowling, darts and table football offer a varied selection to have fun. It's also nice to sit outside. The service staff put a lot of effort into it - even if they were just getting started - and were friendly and helpful, and were always there quickly. It is currently difficult to find enough suitable staff.

Wir mochten die entspannte Atmosphäre dieses Restaurants – man fühlt sich wie zuhause. Wir kommen auf jedenfall wieder her, um noch andere Gerichte zu probieren. Wir hatten verschiedene Burger mit Fritten, die alle sehr lecker waren . Beim nöchsten mal werden wir auf jedenfallmal die Pizzen probieren. Der Service war super schnell und sehr freundlich.

I can't recommend going bowling there in warmer temperatures. It was around 32° outside, inside it was about the same, only with stuffy air. You literally melted away (air conditioning? At least turn on the ventilation?)... The food was rather meh, my salad was soggy, the cucumber slices were dried out, a ready-made sauce was used. My elderberry spritzer wasn't an elderberry spritzer (I'm still wondering what that was). The staff was mostly okay, but unfortunately one person was in a bad mood and didn't want to bring the drinks we ordered. In general, there's a lot of standing around at the counter, chatting and talking on the phone... It was also interesting that every surface, whether it was a table or a bowling ball, was sticky and/or greasy. Unfortunately, the toilets were also quite unhygienic. Positive: Was surprised by the good music: hard rock, punk, metal = wonderful. The ambience was good, nice film and music related pictures on the walls

Loved it. Servicw was great. Pizza was delicious, bowling was fun. Pool tables a little close together and some too close to the wall making playing a bit difficult, but we had a great time here.

Were there for the first time. Very spacious, worth seeing restaurant hall with bowling, darts, billiards, pinball and slot machines. The food was very tasty and the service was friendly and quick. Can highly recommend a visit as everything was great and the location was refreshingly different. If there were still karaoke evenings with Daniel's Karaoke Party from Günzburg, it would be the crowning glory.

Food was good, wood-fired pizza price might be a bit too high. Service is ok Darts, billiards, table football available. Ambience good, even more would be possible from the location.

Also ich muss sagen die Kellnerin war wirklich nett, wir wollten einen Junggesellenabschied feiern und hatten einen Kuchen dabei, den wir drinnen nicht anschneiden durften Grund dafür war anscheinend eine Salmonellen Gefahr, am Telefon wurde das mir nicht berichtet und vor paar Monaten konnte man NOCH eine Torte bringen. Naja beim Bowling spielen hatten wir paar Snacks dabei die anscheinend auch paar Mitspieler neben uns gestört haben. Drumherum hatte ich mich eigentlich um einen schönen Abend gefreut der hier vermasselt wurde. Würde hier niemals eine Feier planen denn sowas ist hier nicht erwünscht. Trotzdem danke an die nette Bedienung

Update: We've now tried it again and were very pleasantly surprised. A lot has happened in the service, eating was super quick and overall it was a really great evening 😊 will be coming back more often now 😊 It was really great on the first visit. Although it was quite busy for a Sunday evening, the food came very quickly, the service was very attentive, and you never sat for long without a drink. This time it was quite a failure. Very, very long waiting times for food, empty plates and glasses were ignored, the dessert (apple cake with vanilla ice cream) arrived cold and there wasn't even a real excuse for it. This time there was a lot less going on than last time.

Great food, friendly staff and great atmosphere

We dined here with a group of 11 and were served quickly, despite the increasing number of guests. Price-wise it was okay. Service was friendly and attentive. One point is deducted because of the burger. The Chicken Crispy Burger wasn't bad, but I've had much better. There was hardly any burger sauce on this burger - perhaps another would be more suitable. My partner had the John Wayne Burger - with lots of burger sauce. Overall, you can spend a nice evening here with larger groups.

The ambience is great. Bowling alley is in good condition and reasonably priced. But just under €17 for 2xRedbull, 1xFanta and 1xCola is almost cheeky. You pay less for the same drinks in most restaurants and ALL the snack bars I've ever visited. So don't visit if you're thirsty. The food cannot be rated in terms of taste as it was not ordered, but visually it made a very good impression.

We were there on April 3rd. 2 hours of bowling for a group of 8 people and the offer is €14.90 per person. Good at first glance, but it's not a discount unless you go on a public holiday where the hour costs €29.90, otherwise you even pay on top. Shortly before the end of the 2 hours someone came and asked if we would like any more drinks. We then reserved a table for 7 p.m. None of the employees greet you or speak to you; their looks seem like they are trying to avoid the guests. After I had to ask which table was assigned to us, we sat down and after 25 minutes there was still no one feeling responsible for us (the restaurant wasn't overcrowded) Since we still hadn't placed any orders up to this point nor had a waitress taken responsibility for us felt we decided to go. No service, no friendliness, you simply don't feel welcome as a guest. In another restaurant in Giengen we were warmly welcomed with a smile and were able to enjoy our evening. I can't say anything about the food because we didn't get anything.

Wir hatten auf 19 Uhr reserviert nach dem Bowling, um 19:25 war immer noch keine Bedienung da um unsere Bestellung aufzunehmen (nicht mal Getränke) Die Bedienung lief öfters an uns vorbei gelaufen ohne in unsere Richtung zu sehen. Darauf hin haben wir die Lokal verlassen und unser Geld wo anders ausgegeben. Also so schnell werden wir dort nicht mehr reservieren.

Toller Abend mit Familie und Freunden. Zuerst lecker essen und danch ne Runde "Kugeln# schieben beim Bowlen. Tolles, sehr freundliches Personal!!! Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen!!

Food was really good and came very quickly. The ambience is also really okay (a little bit dark) and beautifully designed. Our waiter Namdi looked after us well and kept checking that everything was there. Gladly again.

Interesting place, in an informal-modern style. There is bowling, billiards, darts. There are a lot of young people, you can order pizza and burgers. Cocktails too much with ice.

We went bowling here, it's a very good atmosphere. We will be back

Namdi is the best service person ever. Everything was on the table within minutes.
