I've now been there twice for lunch. There's parking for cars and the seating is very comfortable. They offer a business lunch at midday, and we all found it extremely delicious. I'd gladly go again!

Everything at Blue Mare is simply TOP-NOTCH! Absolutely delicious and of very high quality! Whether classic dishes or sushi, it's simply fantastic. Great atmosphere and such wonderful staff. Always with a smile, friendly and attentive. We simply love coming here.

I had plaice with fried potatoes. Unfortunately, the plaice was overloaded with bacon that wasn't even crispy. The fried potatoes were by far the worst I've ever had. They must have been kept warm somewhere for at least an hour. The plaice itself was tasty and well-fried. All the other dishes were very good – the service was excellent. Competent, friendly, and unobtrusive. I found the atmosphere very pleasant – nice spacing between the tables. Overall, I was just unlucky, but fried potatoes like that shouldn't be served anywhere. I was a business guest and therefore (unfortunately, in hindsight) didn't complain.

Blue Mare in Hamburg is an absolutely stunning restaurant — elegant and beautifully designed. I had a fish dish (unfortunately can’t recall the name), but it was incredibly flavorful and perfectly prepared. I stopped in after work and felt a bit underdressed for how sophisticated the setting was! The only downside was that service was a little slow when we wanted to order more drinks, but overall the experience was wonderful. Beautiful atmosphere, delicious food — highly recommend for a nice evening out. 🐟🍷

We were here 10 days ago. - Terribly bad food at exorbitant prices. When we complained, the waiter made it clear to us that we were wrong and charged us the FULL amount, even though we hadn't eaten anything.

The Blue Mare is an absolute highlight, tucked away in Valvo Park. The ambiance is sophisticated and cozy. The service is super friendly and has great recommendations and tips. The food is another absolute highlight. So far, everything we've ordered has tasted amazing. Each plate is prepared with great attention to detail, not just visually but also in terms of taste. In addition, a sushi master is behind the counter, preparing superbly delicious sushi specialties. We absolutely love the Blue Mare and will definitely be back!

We finally managed to visit the successor to the Marlin. What can I say...it was a complete success. We received a very friendly and warm welcome right at the entrance. The entrance area, as well as the rest of the restaurant, is modern but very cozy. The service was always attentive without being intrusive. I would actually say "outstanding" again here. The food was of exceptional quality. Of course, you pay for it, and rightly so. The portion sizes are just right. The value for money is 100 percent. I can't understand some of the negative reviews regarding service, portion sizes, and child-friendliness. I believe that the guest always comes first here. We certainly felt that every time. We will definitely be back.

Hier ist nicht nur das Essen sehr gut. Zubereitung mit Liebe, Raffinesse und Abwechslung. Insbesondere beim Gruß aus der Küche genießen wir die Kreativität. Zu Weihnachten wurde die Maronensuppe aus der Teekanne serviert. Der tolle Service und das Ambiemte runden es ab. Wir kommen immer wieder sehr gern hierher. Im Sommer verweilen wir gern auf der Terrasse bei einem leckeren Glas Wein.

We went to the Blue Marlin for our 25th wedding anniversary. The menu is straightforward, which suits me very well. I chose fish soup and Sylt salmon. My wife had the eggplant steak. The other dishes were pike-perch and tagliatelle. We started with some warm bread with a light curry paste. Always delicious, but you're not actually allowed to eat it, as it always leaves a bit less room for the main courses. We all enjoyed the food very much. The service was very attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back.

I've never experienced this before: Because the competent waitress wanted to know exactly why we didn't like a dessert, we gave her a detailed answer. After 30 minutes, she came back with a surprise dessert that we absolutely loved. I asked her to confirm to the chef that his express training had been totally worthwhile. A restaurant graduation that will remain unforgettable. I can only recommend it!

Best sushi in the area and unparalleled in Hamburg.

The atmosphere is surprisingly nice inside for the area, and the outside terrace is nice and quiet. The lunch menu is popular, with a particularly attractive price (€29) and very filling. The asparagus soup + Parmesan + woodruff oil is solid. The Blue Mare fried fish, redfish, remoulade sauce, and brioche are unfortunately not seasoned. The breading is nice and crispy, but quite greasy. It's too heavy with the bread underneath. Strawberry cheesecake + dulce de leche is delicious; half the portion would have been enough. The service is friendly and jovial ("Would you like to finish off some more of that bread...?").

I went to this place for a business dinner. I thought it was amazing so I went a second time with my wife and kid. My son had fish and chips from the kids menu and it was a 10/10. My wife had the prawn spaghetti. We thought it could have been more saucy. But I’d give it a solid 8/10. I ordered the Safran risotto and it was 10/10. I was in Hamburg for over a month and the Safran risotto was the tastiest thing I had. Staff are very nice and they explain the dishes in great details.

Wir waren zu fünft zum Essen, haben für 5 Personen Sushi bestellt. Leider mussten wir ingesamt 90 Minuten auf das Essen warten. Wir bekamen in der langen Wartezeit nicht einmal Brot! Darauf angesprochen hielt die Serviceleitung eine Entschuldigung für nicht nötig. Die als Wiedergutmachung zum Espresso angebotene Flasche Wein war da eher ein unbeholfener Entschuldigungsversuch, den wir dankend abgelehnt haben. Ingesamt wirkte der Service selbstverliebt und unaufmerksam. Wir werden uns für unsere abendlichen Geschäftsessen einen anderen Ort suchen, auch wenn das Essen sehr gut war.

great food, great service The inside of the store was decorated with balloons for Valentine's Day. I had the beef tartare and risotto, both of which were excellent. The seasoning and quantity were perfect. The menu changes regularly, so you can enjoy it as many times as you want.

You won't find hospitality, empathy or child-friendliness here.

Their way of putting teste into food is not the way you can experience in general German good restaurants. I am Japanese and their fish soup is somehow similar to the way Japanese authentic Sushi restaurants do. I can highly recommend.

I've eaten here a few times now, with family and friends. Every time we left the restaurant satisfied and happy. A great team entertained us from start to finish with delicious recommendations from the house and our dog and extended family member were also allowed to come with us. Which made the opportunity to linger very pleasant for us. We'll definitely be back soon.

Perfect service and high quality cuisine. We had the sushi platter for two people as a starter, really the best sushi we've had in years. The main course was pasta with lobster. Also uniquely good! One of the best dinners I have ever had creative! The owner should have his first star at Michelin. I travel globally and find this in the top 5 restaurants worldwide. Had really nice appetizers. The owner is a gracious and very professional person with a hospitable lovely disposition. Our main course were delicious. I had Venison Steak paired with amaretto cherries. Absolutely first class. Will be coming again and again

Unfortunately, two out of three dishes were absolutely not edible The service was good but the quality was not.

The interior is perfect, same as a food quality. We have spent more than one hour for waiting sushi set, but during this time the personnel was supplying as with a lot of compliments from chef. One of the best places in Hamburg to spent time with family.

What a great New Year's Eve... thanks to the whole team

Die Show ist gut, das Essen mangelhaft in Bezug auf den Preis!

Das Essen war herausragend, aber der Service und das gesamte Arrangement und Ambiente ließ doch sehr zu wünschen übrig. Wir hatten zu Silvester gebucht und hatten irgendwie eine gewisse Stimmung erwartet, gerade zum Jahreswechsel um 0 Uhr, einen Countdown, Sekt und Berliner oder ähnliches. Nix dergleichen passierte. Es war wie im Wartesaal am Gleis am Hauptbahnhof. Anonym, langweilig, steril und laut mit miserablen Sound. Das Personal begann sogar kurz nach 12 schon damit, die Deko abzuhängen. Und die Bedienung übersah uns permanent, als wir zahlen wollten. An der Bar war man auch wenig freundlich, als ich nach einem White Russian fragte. Insgesamt also eher enttäuschend, wenn auch das Essen wirklich sehr gut war. Mehr Schein als Sein, würde ich insgesamt sagen.

I visited the Blue Mare restaurant with my family today and was unfortunately disappointed. Although the quality of the food was good, the portion size of my cod left something to be desired. While my family wasn't even halfway through their fish dishes, my plate was already empty and I continued to feel hungry. The waitress noticed this but did nothing until I asked her about it. Her only response was to point out that this was common for cod, and she simply offered me the menu to reorder - with no accommodation to ensure my satisfaction. As a regular restaurant visitor, this was the first time that I left a restaurant hungry despite the main course.

It was delicious and comfortable. Only the music was very loud.

We had our company Christmas party there. Beautiful restaurant, great ambience with great staff and 1 A kitchen. There was saddle of veal with a herb crust, chili scampi (extremely tasty) and much more. Everything was really delicious.

After a nice reception, things got a bit bumpy. The service changed every now and then, something I've never experienced in a restaurant like this. Although I consider us to be totally relaxed guests, it was somehow strange. Therefore only 3 stars for service. But that shouldn't spoil the impression of the beautiful ambience and the delicious food. A well-rounded and coherent story. We'll be back.

Waited for the starter sushi for 1h40 minutes. I am not kidding... The worst wait I had to endure in a restaurant in my whole life! And I have tested many many restaurants being in business internationally for 20 years. No apologies No manager coming over to even explain. No compensation of any kind Extremely poor room management. A shame the food was good but when it came we were cold and all tired. I hate to pay for a bad experience. And I had to. Never again!

Ich bin jetzt einige male hier Essen gewesen, mit Familie und auch mit Freunden. Jedes mal sind wir zufrieden und glücklich aus dem Lokal gegangen. Ein tolles Team bewirtet uns von Anfang bis Ende mit köstlichen Empfehlungen des Hauses und zudem durfte unser Hund und erweiterter Familienmitglied mit uns mitkommen. Was uns die Möglichkeit zum Verweilen sehr angenehm machte. Wir kommen ganz sicher bald wieder.

Tolles gehobenes Ambiente. Individuelle Wünsche bei der Tischreservierung wurden liebenswert umgesetzt. Das Essen (Vorspeise, Hauptgang und Dessert) waren sehr lecker. Am Tisch gab es persönliche Empfehlungen die alle samt ausgezeichnet geschmeckt haben. Was wir auch toll fanden, das zwischen den Gerichten immer gewartet wurde und wir so letztendlich viel Zeit zum Genießen hatten.

There were five of us for dinner and we ordered sushi for five people. Unfortunately we had to wait a total of 90 minutes for food. We didn't even get bread during the long wait! When asked about this, the service management did not think an apology was necessary. The bottle of wine offered as compensation for the espresso was more of a clumsy attempt at apology, which we politely declined. Overall, the service seems self-absorbed and inattentive. We will look elsewhere for our evening business lunches, even though the food was very good.

Changing weekly menu with menu suggestions. Some fish recipes to choose from. Drinks menu partly not up to date. Good sushi, also in interesting, not so common variations! The dishes are decorated and served with a lot of effort. The own sauces are good and round off a great taste experience.

Great location, excellent sushi - super tasty and also very attractively served. The only thing we noticed was that the female service person seemed rather annoyed and tried desperately to hide it with an artificial smile. Still a wonderful warm summer evening on the terrace.

Auf der großzügigen Außenterrasse vom Blue Mare haben wir es uns im Valvo-Park zum Mittagstisch gemütlich gemacht. Die Mittagskarte hatten wir uns im Internet angesehen. Unter der großen Sonnenmarkise erhielten wir einen 2er-Tisch. Sofort wurde uns frisches leckeres Brot gereicht. Für normale Berufstätige sind die Preise zu Mittag recht sportlich. Trotz fantastischer Sonne war daher alles recht sparsam besucht. Wir wählten Kalbsschnitzel im Kräutermantel und Backfisch. Die Bratkartoffeln und das Schnitzel waren ganz ausgezeichnet. Auch der Backfisch mit Speckkartoffelsalat richtig gut. Alles sehr frisch und geschmacksicher zubereitet. Die Portionen sind nicht klein und kaum zu schaffen. Der Service nett und zuvorkommend. Es war etwas Besonderes und somit hatte sich der Ausflug hierher gelohnt.
