Very attentive service, good drinking and eating. Without a table reservation, we were immediately assigned a good table.

Was here by chance when the manager checked the store. For once it “just happened” to be clean that day and all the employees were really nice. Recommendation: On your next visit, pretend to be the manager and eat better.

Spent a wonderful evening with family and dog today. It was a bit of a humid summer night but the food and service made the heat bearable ❤️ Had ordered tartar, bruschetta and various steak menus. Everything tasted delicious👍 Thanks to the kitchen and the service! We were very pleased to hear that it was okay to bring our dog with us. (clarified over the phone beforehand) See you soon ❤️

That was just great. You are taken to your table and then immediately asked if you would like something to drink. The menu is clear and the combination of steak, side dish and salad is generous. The steak was perfectly medium rare, the salad wasn't boring and everything was perfect. The two of us paid around €75 and found that justified.

Well worth a visit! The staff were fantastic and the food was super good.

The steak was super tender and had a great "grilled" taste, the baked potato could be a little bigger (I really like it), the salad was fresh. The ambience, like most Block House restaurants, could use some updating. Price-performance ratio is definitely right for me and we would go there again.

My husband and I stayed at the Block House in Lübeck on June 22nd, 2024. The restaurant was very busy, no wonder given the good service and food. Our waitress, her name was Petra, was very nice and friendly. When she asked us what we wanted to eat, the tablet we ordered fell out of her hand and into my arm, but Petra took care of me straight away and we all had to laugh. The food was very tasty, I had beef fillet medallions and my partner had rump steak, then there was dessert. All in all, I have to say that unfortunately there aren't such funny waiters and such good service in Hamburg. We will be in Lübeck until tomorrow, when we come back to Lübeck a visit to the Block House is a must.

Our New York cheeseburger was very good. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating. It's really a nice place to spend some time between sightseeing. If we ever find ourselves in Lübeck again, we'd be happy to do so again.

The Block House in Lübeck. I know some, but today I'm a little disappointed. Service was friendly, only 20 minutes. Waiting for the Pils, a bit too much. OK. It was relatively busy, but drinks should be quicker. We ordered linguine mutt chicken slices. Positively we would be served with parmesan. Unfortunately, the noodles didn't have enough bite, the chicken strips were very well done and juicy. The tomatoes seemed more like tomato salad to me. Now it's your own fault if you order Italian in a steak restaurant.

The waitress, Ms. Voss, was very, very nice and accommodating.

We stayed one night in Lübeck on the way back from our vacation in Sweden and went out to eat. I've always known Block House well from Berlin... But that was a very special evening... The food was great... Greetings to the chef who fried my master steak, but the star was Petra. ...I haven't experienced such great service in a restaurant for a long time...Greetings go out. If I could give more than five, I would double.... Thank you Blockhouse and Petra for this lovely end to the holiday :-)

We were in Lübeck with 8 people for 3 days and had reserved a table in the Block House for today. Apart from the excellent, delicious food, the friendly and courteous behavior of the service staff must be highlighted. This could generally be observed among all employees. Even the bills were handed out in envelopes on which our service staff had handwritten “Petra wishes you a sunny day”. There is no increase!! Thank you very much Petra!!! It was super delicious, as previously described we did not find Steack on the menu. We had a very tasty Italian meal and people were waiting to enter. That's saying something!!! So we don't regret it and we will definitely come back here.

We had dinner at Block Haus today and were really very satisfied! We were warmly welcomed by Ramona who showed us to the table and provided really great service throughout our stay! My friend & I were in this restaurant to have dinner. It was not very busy, so we did not wait for a long time for our dinner. The service was great. I liked the dishes so much! For decades, consistently high quality of all food and drinks in a cultivated atmosphere. The steaks in particular are second to none. However, the prices are also quite high.

Celiac disease? - Taken seriously here and no problem. Delicious steak, baked potato and oil and vinegar brought to the table to make your own. Very nice service.

Lovely staff, very helpful and friendly, everyone that you come across welcomes you with a warm smile. Our waitress lady Ramona is a true professional. Food is served almost immediately and is very high quality. Apfelstrudel is IMMACULATE, truly a must-try. There's nothing to complain about, Block House is a hidden pearl in the middle of Lübeck.

Great view if you get one of the coveted window seats. Courteous, friendly service and, as in every BLOCK HOUSE, the food was delicious.

The Block House is located at the Holstentor and near the pedestrian zone. The restaurant is very busy at lunchtime. The service is friendly and relatively quick despite the large number of guests. In addition to the usual Block House menu, there is also an inexpensive lunch menu. The food is good quality and plentiful. Conclusion: recommended.

This time we were guests in Lübeck. The entrance is a bit difficult to find as it is a bit confusing from the outside. The welcome was very warm as was the service at the table. Big praise to the team in Lübeck!!! Our food was okay so far, I was only 90% satisfied with the quality of the filet mignon, but it was still well grilled and had a nice texture. We'd love to come back!

I spontaneously got a table at BLOCK House on a Saturday evening, even with a nice view. The service was friendly. However, I was rather disappointed with the presentation of the food, it all looked very bland. The food tasted good.

My visit to the Block House was a true culinary highlight! The ambience was cozy and inviting, and the staff was extremely attentive and friendly. But the absolute highlight was of course the food: the steak I ordered was perfectly grilled and incredibly tender and juicy. There was also a selection of delicious side dishes and sauces that completed the taste experience. The wine list also left nothing to be desired and rounded off the perfect meal. Overall, my visit to the Block House was a real pleasure experience and I can only warmly recommend it!

Everything was harmonious and great! Any time.

Classic block house. Decent meat quality and the usual modular principle. What is particularly worth mentioning is the great service: despite the store being full, very attentive, friendly and personable.

Never again The staff in the restaurant is very nice, after a short search a table for seven people was found. On the menu, the cheapest dish starts at €15. Add another €2.50 and you get a New York Cheese Burger with fries. After a short wait, the burger came. The upper part of the bun was missing, the whole thing looked more like a Karlsberg cut. The patty didn't see any seasoning, not even from far away. The fries were good, the shape and consistency suggest that they came straight from the Lidl freezer. The entire cole slaw salad fit on one tablespoon. Overall, it was a disgrace to serve something like that in a renowned chain. The price-performance ratio is underground. Even the view of the Holstentor doesn't justify the price of the meal. After the visit, I spent €8 on the kebab and then I was satisfied and full. Never again.

Always a great experience. This was the second time we were served excellently by Ms. Diederichsen. I would therefore like to mention you by name here; such employees deserve the greatest recognition.

Restaurant to eat good meat accompanied by a good salad. I find all the ingredients very good and very well cooked.

We had lunch here. 4 small steaks are more like a small skewer. Otherwise we were satisfied. Soup and dessert were delicious.

Service very good!! Can't complain, very friendly. The food was also very good, but if you order a burger you want one too. I ordered the Classic Block Burger and instead of a "burger" as you know it, you get a simple bullete/meatball. No lie, you only get the burger patty. Was very disappointing!!! The map should definitely be corrected!!!

Steaks to the point, delicious onion soup first. Ambience good, definitely better view from the window. Absolutely outstanding service, friendly, fast and competent yet unobtrusive. Lovely again!

A really really great restaurant!! The employees look after the guests very lovingly and there is a lot of delicious food. Allergies, such as gluten intolerance, are not a problem. I can only recommend it!

We were there the weekend before last. After a few minutes we got a table. The store was full but our service was still super friendly and attentive. The appetizers are the salvation here in the stars. We had 3 steaks, although we had pointed out that all 3 should be completely cooked through, two of them came rare and one of the two came half medium half rare, which is what we said and it was thrown back on the grill and then came back like chewing gum. My husband had ordered potato gratin with it, when it arrived we were shocked, it was simply a tablespoon of potato gratin. We thought they were kidding us. My daughter had the Magic Burger from the kids menu, which was just garlic bread with the meat and cold fries. My daughter ate a little and turned red to me and she suddenly complained of a headache and severe stomach pain, I took her to the toilet and I noticed something was wrong with her. In the car she continued to complain about headaches and severe stomach pains and cried throughout the drive (1 hour drive). When we got home she kept going back and forth to the toilet. A few minutes later she vomited all over the apartment and that lasted for 3 days. Today, 10 days later, she keeps complaining about stomach pain at night and doesn't want to eat anything anymore. Please check these burger patties. We had never experienced a case like this before. I was very worried about her.

Despite it being Saturday evening, we got a table without a reservation. In addition to the friendly and nice staff, that was somehow one of the best things. Unfortunately, from our point of view, the price-performance ratio is not right. The fries were probably mixed, so some were okay and some were soft and full of oil. So once older and newer fries. One steak had tendons in it, you can't always tell in advance but it's very annoying. You also had to look for the salad on the plate. And the bread that everyone thinks is so great. Well, probably a matter of taste. All in all, the quality and portion size were better for the price.

I've been a guest here for a very long time. Unfortunately the standard no longer exists. The portions are getting smaller and smaller (César salad, fries, potato gratin, bread). You also get burnt, hard bread and stringy meat. The two of us were here today and had a lively conversation. You're constantly being spoken to in the middle of a conversation. That doesn't work at all. Prices have skyrocketed. Two people €75. You won't see us like this again. Good luck with the new concept “how do I scare away my guests”.

The ambience, service and taste were impeccable, but I find it almost outrageous to charge €46 for a normal steak (300g).

Tagesgericht.....Huftsteak mit Bohnen und Pommes..... Weniger wäre manchmal mehr..... Es waren die billigsten Tütenpommes und Bohnen ohne Speck..... Einfach von jedem die Hälfte dafür Steakhaus Pommes und Speckbohnen... Danke

Das Block Haus Lübeck enttäuscht nie! Die Steaks sind immer fantastisch erstklassig und werden immer perfekt gegrillt mit einer perfekten Garqualität. Die Beilagen wie Ofenkartoffeln und Pommes sind Industrieprodukte, aber irgendwie schafft es das Team, dass sie perfekt schmecken. Das Block Haus hat eine schöne familiäre Einrichtung und ein sehr freundliches Team! Ich komme seit meiner Geburt regelmäßig mit meinen Eltern hierher. Ich komme wieder!

Es ist ein Block House, man bekommt genau das was Sie versprechen. Gute Qualität zu gewohnten Preisen.

Hier bekommt man, auch ohne Tischreservierung und nach kurzer Wartezeit eine gute Sitzgelegenheiten. Hier kann man in Ruhe essen und trinken ohne das man gedrängt wird, obwohl hier wartende Gäste sind. Hier steht der sitzende Kunde im Vordergrund. Der Service ist sehr gut.👍👍👍

Sehr guter Service und sehr gutes Essen. Gerade im Servicebereich sehr Kundenfreundlich aufgestellt. Personal geht immer auf Kundenwünsche ein und eine Reservierung für 10 Personen ist schnell und einfach. Weiter so :-)

Rundum zufrieden waren wir mit dem Service und Essen. Mit einem Blick auf das weihnachtliche Holstentor bekamen wir ein ruhiges Fleckchen mit ausreichend Platz. Der Service durch S.Freise war perfekt. Das Essen kam zügig, war sehr schmackhaft und wie bestellt. Von uns eine klare Empfehlung!

Wir hatten am Silvesterabend einen Tisch für 2 .Nach einem netten Begrüßung Sekt wurden wir prompt bedient und das obwohl das Restaurant komplett ausgebucht war. Das Essen war genau wie die Bedienung Super ( Sonja).SIe hat uns jeden Wunsch von den Lippen abgelesen. Also sollten wir mal wieder in Lübeck sein sind wir gerne wieder da mfg Jörg und Thirza.

Hallo Liebes Block House Team, wir waren heute vier Erwachsene und ein kleines klein Kind. Bekamen promt einen gemütlichen mit Kinderstuhl ausgestatten Tisch präsentiert. Bevor wir die Getränke bestellen konnten waren schon die Mal Sachen da. 4 verschiedene Gerichte kamen sehr schnell bei vollem Betrieb (sehr, sehr lecker). Zum Abschied gab es auch noch eine Brotdose mit kleinen Spielsachen. Recht Herzliches Dankeschön an das gesamte Team und wir wünschen allen besinnliche Weihnachten ❤️

Leider war das Besteck verdreckt. Auch das Essen ist lauwarm gewesen. Ich schätze wir hatten einfach Pech im Zusammenhang mit anderen Faktoren. Standard sieht hier sicherlich anders aus.

Wir hatten nicht reserviert und mussten einen Moment warten bis uns ein Tisch mit der Bemerkung " der Tisch wird in 1,5 Stunden für die nächsten Gäste benötigt" zugewiesen wurde. Das war für uns soweit ok, da wir nur zu Abend essen wollten. Während unseres Aufenthaltes haben wir dann mitbekommen, dass allen Gästen gesagt wird, dass der Tisch in 1,5 Stunden wieder benötigt wird. Es soll sich also niemand zu lange aufhalten, damit man möglichst viele Gäste abfertigen kann. Die Bedienung war freundlich und sehr schnell, auch das Essen kam ziemlich schnell. Das war leider dieses mal nicht nach unserem Geschmack- Hähnchenschenkel, zu fad und zu weich. Bisher hatten wir immer Burger und waren sehr zufrieden. Die Atmosphäre war nicht gemütlich, da das Restaurant sehr voll war, war es leider auch sehr laut.

Vi, 5 personer, besøgte Block House i forbindelse med besøg på julemarked i Lübeck. Men kunne ikke forudbestille bord, så vi stod i kø i 30 minutter (indendørs), før vi fik plads. Imens vi ventede blev der serveret små glas vin og punch til os. Maden var god og kødet var super lækkert og smagfuldt og til gode priser. Stedet er meget populært, så forvent en lidt larm derinde-selvom akustikken ellers er god. Kan varmt anbefale Block House og kommer meget gerne igen

Freundliches Personal Essen ist super Kommen sehr gerne wieder

Utroligt støjende og fortravlet sted. Maden var acceptabelt, men ikke noget specielt.

Sehr gute Qualität der Steaks und der Speosen. Sehr nettes Personal und Bedienung.

Mit diesem Ausblick zum 1. Advent lässt man es sich gut gehen. Als Prime Time durften wir 300 gr. zartes Rumpsteak mit Baked Potato, Block -House Brot und Salat genießen. Das Restaurant ist sehr gut besucht, trotzdem kam das Essen zügig in gewohnter Qualität. Eine gute Adventszeit!

Das Essen war sehr gut. Ich hatte ein Gericht mit Pommes. Die Pommes war HÜ Tiefkühlpommes ( finde ich ziemlich enttäuscht, bei der Preisklasse).Wir hatten unser Tis h für 18:30 reserviert. Das Restaurant war sehr voll, aber der Service war super.

The salad was very good...the stake was good, but the french fries were really bad... The desert was artificial...cheap ice cream with cream from a tube,really bad. The service was 👍

Mega gut, super freundlich.! Ich hab in meinem Leben das zweite Mal Rumpsteak gegessen und ich bin nach wie vor begeistert davon. Die Bedienung super freundlich und kannte den Geschmack ihrer Gäste sehr gut.

Ein hervorragender Block House ist hier vorzufinden! Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und kompetent und die Qualität ist auch hier einfach top. Geschmacklich keine Frage eine der besten Restaurants der Stadt. Auch ästhetisch sehr ansprechend und die Einrichtung ist sehr stilvoll und schön. Diesen Block House kann ich nur weiterempfehlen und ich komme definitiv wieder!

Wir hatten keine Reservierung, mussten nur ganz kurz vor der Tür warten. Das Essen war super Klasse der Service war auch top !

Wow, das Essen war mega. Selten so lecker gegessen. Das Steak war super lecker. Personal und Ambiente waren ebenfalls Klasse. Danke für den schönen Abend.

Ich war lange zufriedener Gast hier. Aber diese Zeit ist wohl vorbei. Ambiente war ganz okay. Die Portionen sind deutlich kleiner aber teurer geworden. Geschmacklich war es aber in Ordnung. Nun zum Service: Ich weiß nicht, was da schief gelaufen ist. Ich habe es sonst immer positiv in Erinnerung gehabt. Wir waren 4 Leute um 16:15 an einem Montag da. Es war nicht voll. 15 Minuten nach uns kam ein neuer Tisch neben uns. Dieser konnte kurz danach bereits bestellen und bekam auch schon die Getränke, während wir vergeblich versuchten, eine Kellnerin auf uns aufmerksam zu machen. Irgendwann kam eine zu uns, ohne zu grüßen oder uns anzugucken fragte sie nach Getränken. Als wir diese aufgegeben haben, wollten wir noch Essen bestellen, doch sie ging direkt einfach wieder. Nachdem wir 15 weitere Minuten auf unser Trinken gewartet haben, wollten wir nochmal das Essen bestellen, denn mittlerweile hatten wir echt Hunger bekommen! Die Kellnerin lehnte ab und ging ohne ein weiteres Wort. Was für eine Frechheit! Nach weiteren 5 Minuten kam dann endlich eine andere Kellnerin, die unsere Bestellung aufnahm. Wir bekamen unser Essen schließlich 1 Stunde nachdem wir angekommen waren. Bei einem Gericht stand in der Karte die Ofenkartoffel als Beilage, serviert wurde das aber mir Pommes. Eine Reklamierung war schwierig, denn es kam einfach keiner mehr, um nochmal nach dem Wohlbefinden zu fragen. Als mal endlich jemand kam, und wir nach Steak Sauce fragten, wurde nicht weiter zugehört, sondern mitten im Satz umgedreht und Steak Soße wurde gebracht. Als wir es dann nochmal versuchten, wurden wir ignoriert. Wir versuchten es mehrmals noch und gaben dann auf. Wir verließen das Lokal noch halb hungrig. Den Mitarbeitern sollte hier nochmal eine Fortbildung zur Gastfreundlichkeit angeboten werden. Echt schade dass das alles so drastisch abgenommen hat. Ich bezweifle, dass ich hier wiederkommen werde.
