Cozy old fashioned german tavern-style restaurant, a Wirtshaus. Very friendly and forthcoming staff. Love the place!

After initial problems with our reservation, we were able to get our table. Here you sit at large tables with others at the table. We weren't aware of it, but it didn't bother us. The food was super delicious! And unbeatable for the price. Friday schnitzel day the portion €13

The Aalen Beer Hall serves the tastiest Maultaschen and deliciously tender onion roast. The atmosphere is cozy and rustic and the service is very friendly! 5 stars!

Here you can find the best Maultaschen and the best roast beef ever! We always enjoy a cool Heubacher and homemade regional dishes in a cozy atmosphere. The service is always first class too! Definitely our favorite restaurant in Aalen.

The food was good, but I think the prices are unreasonably high. In my opinion, the spit roast including side dishes for 37 euros is definitely too expensive. We wouldn't come back

Expectations were met - pub charm with great service & good food.

Iconic pub with a good selection of beer and the menu has everything that is typical in Swabia. Service is nice. Sitting outside when the weather is good is also possible.

Dropped in to this quaint authentic German restaurant to learn we should have had a reservation. The accommodating staff made an adjustment to find us a spot. The ambiance was amazing, the food…. Incredible!!!! A few things to know of you decide to eat here. 1. Make a reservation. This small space is very busy! 2. If you don’t speak/read German study the menu on-line before you go as the menu is only in German. 3. Go hungry! Portions are huge and you will not want to waste a single bite! 4. If driving park in one of the parkades. Parking is limited here and the restaurant is located in a pedestrian only zone. It is close to the train station. 5. Enjoy the warmth of the German hospitality and the wonderful ambiance and food!!!! Cheers!

Good food. I had schnitzel. It was good. I do prefer veal because pig get a little dry. The sauce for the schnitzel was good. My husband had maultaschen. They were also good. The one with the cream sauce is the best.

Super tasty Maultaschen made in-house. Service quick and friendly. Interior is a bit old but still OK. We would love to come back.

The overpriced burger for €18 is difficult to eat. The portion was completely sufficient because it just tasted so bad. The meat had a strange aftertaste and the fries are also not recommended. Likewise, my companions' dishes didn't look appetizing. There are definitely better alternatives in this part of Aalen.

A loveless, tiny schnitzel with a mini portion of spaetzle for €18 is really aggressive. Afterwards we had a Greek meal. As a grown man, you don't get anywhere near full. It may have been an unusually small portion for us, but we won't be coming back anyway given this price-performance ratio.

This inn is so unique, you sit in the alley with a view of the church. The service is courteous and quick. The beer selection is special (Altes Sudhaus as a tip). The menu contains typical Swabian dishes and the Bierhallentöpfle and the handmade Maultaschen taste excellent (we still cook here). We will certainly not forget this visit, as it is a testament to Swabian hospitality.

Mega! The service was so great, we were in Aalen for the football and were able to leave our bags there until after the game. The food was really fantastic!

Das Lokal im Zentrum von Aalen hat Tradition. Ich war 1976 mit den Kumpels häufig nach einer Moped Tour zu Gast. Auch heute esse ich gerne in der Bierhalle wenn wir in Aalen sind . Bedienung super nett und freundlich. Das Essen Bierhallentöpfle super gut und traditionell schwäbisch. Preise sind voll ok. Portionen genügend. Ja und das Innenleben immer noch Bierhalle👍

Strolled past it by chance, then ate outside. Absolutely recommended, food cooked with love and care, served very friendly and worthy of the price.

Great pub for beer and regional food.

Table reserved for 2 people, arrived on time, we were seated at another family table, then left again! If I want to go out to eat with my children, I make reservations for more; if I go out to eat with my partner for an anniversary, I would happily sit alone. Service was tried, but unfortunately there was no other option. It's a shame I expected something different!

Quaint restaurant and the oldest in Aalen. Small but very cozy bar (be careful, it is very loud), you should definitely make a reservation. The walls are full of old metal signs from all sorts of breweries, everything very nostalgic but well-kept. There is only a small selection of dishes, but they are fresh and really good. The house lemonades are awesome. For example, thyme with homemade raspberry syrup. The service is very attentive and you don't have to wait long. A really great experience. In summer you can also sit outside.

The beer hall is rightly on the list of pubs worth seeing. It was always something special, but in my opinion it is currently one of the things that has become even better. Food very casual, service great. It's a really big compliment that the ambience/furnishings, including the porch, remained unchanged = tip top.

Great restaurant with good service and delicious food and drinks and a good price/performance ratio. We were there with three adults and two children. The reservation was made at short notice. The service was attentive from start to finish. The menu is not particularly extensive but offers something for every taste and all the dishes we had were freshly prepared and delicious.

Unfortunately, we were negatively surprised in several ways during our visit: a) the “beer hall” turned out to be a small beer hall. Maybe around 40 square meters. b) We had reserved a table, but were then seated at the table with other guests. If you look at other reviews, this method has a system. Sorry, that's not possible, you can save yourself a reservation. c) Prices are extremely expensive despite the simplest setup. For example, onion roast costs €34! Guests who dare to address the discrepancy are directed to the wooden spoon next door.

Nice quaint restaurant with local specialties. Was there alone on a Thursday and was seated at the table with others. I can handle it quite well, the information beforehand would have been nice. Staff friendly. The local schnapps are recommended.

Bin verliebt in den Bierhallenburger

Ein uriges Wirtshaus mitten in der Altstadt mit guter Schwäbischer Küche. Sehr nette Bedienung und echt leckeres Essen. Ich komme sicher wieder hier her wenn ich in Aalen bin. Aber vorher einen Tisch reservieren 😉.

Geschäftlich waren wir im Dezember in Aalen unterwegs und haben unser Mittagessen hier gegönnt. Service war total problemlos und entspannt, dass Ambiente rustikal aber gemütlich und einladend. Wenn das Essen 10 Sterne bewerten könnte würde ich dies tun, wirklich sehr lecker 👍 P.s: Das Kühle Bier aus dem eiskalten Steinkrug war ein Highlight. Grüße aus Berlin 👋

Food was awesome, it is very tight in there though. Would have loved if they placed smaller tables so one can get more comfortable in and out if ones seat. Personnel professional and nice. Could be a bit more open and outgoing but other than that we had a great meal. Big portions btw

Urig und klein, daher bei einer Verabredung dringend reservieren. Hier kann man auch bei einer Reservierung schon mal mit anderen an einem Tisch sitzen, was ich persönlich toll finde. Leckeres regionales Essen und sehr freundliche Bedienung. Unbedingt eine Empfehlung.

Sehr traditionelle Restaurant mitten in Aalen. Nur klein aber jeden Sitz belegt weil bekannt für super bürgerliche essen und tolle Bier und Schnaps. Unbedingt reservieren - während meine Besuch viele Leute sind vorbei gekommen aber kein Platz bekommen. Wer bereit ist ein Tisch zu teilen hat bessere Chancen

Trendiges, kleines Bierlokal mit typischen, schwäbischen Gerichten, wie Maultaschen, Spätzle mit Linsen und andere Kleinigkeiten. Das Bier ist super. Drinnen ist es rustikal gemütlich, bei gutem Wetter gibt es auch draußen Sitzgelegenheiten. Bedienung ist flott und nett, alles prima. Ist ein Besuch wert, wenn man in der Nähe ist und ungezwungen etwas essen und, oder trinken möchte :)

Ein kleines, enges, aber gemutliches Stübchen. Für meinen Geschmack ist es etwas zu eng und dadurch zu laut. Die freundliche Bedienung versteht die Gäste trotzdem sehr gut, so dass das Bestellen trotzdem funktioniert. Mir persönlich hatten die Linsen zu wenig Geschmack, die anderen Speisen sahen aber sehr lecker aus. Außerdem ist der Preis für die großen Portionen angemessen.

Apart from the slightly grumpy waitress everything was excellent, the beer as well as the food, a very local dish, kind of some big raviolies with sauce, lecker!

Sehr nette Bierhausatmosphäre mit super netten Service. Das Essen ist sehr zu empfehlen. Die Auswahl an Maultaschen ist beeindruckend und sie schmecken aus noch hervorragend :-) Immer wieder gerne.

Lecker Essen, Super Service, Bier satt.

Freundlicher Service, Zwiebelrostbraten war ganz ok, die Spätzle leider aus der Großpackung und lauwarm. Die Bratwürste sind im Laufe der Jahre leider etwas geschrumpft. Dennoch, alles zusammen gesehen ist es eine gute Gastronomie, man wird satt. Und Bier gibt es eben auch.
