Biergarten Domplatz in Erfurt

Were on April 20th. as part of a visit to Erfurt there. Had reserved a table in advance. It was uncomplicated and it was a good thing. Excellent food, very nice and attentive service. We'd love to come back when in Erfurt. Many thanks from Qlb

Classic Thuringian cuisine served quickly at reasonable prices by friendly, casual service. We were there for the second time now and will come back.

There are real GDR dishes, solyanka, seasoned meat of better quality than at HO and Mitropa

The service, i.e. the food is served very quickly, is nice and it tastes really delicious! My daughter's recommendation; Thuringian bratwurst with dumplings. The combination is not on the menu, but it was made possible upon request 👍.

We had lunch today to celebrate a 65th birthday. Everyone was very satisfied. Excellent food, great drinks, and first-class service! We'll be back.

Beautiful, authentic inn. Excellent regional dishes. Service was competent, friendly, and very welcoming. We had Thuringian dumplings with apple-flavored red cabbage, served with Sauerbraten (sauerbraten) or dark beer roast. The Thuringian dumplings were divine. The meat was tender. Well-balanced. For dessert, we had apple strudel with vanilla ice cream and vanilla sauce. Beautifully presented.

Local flair, warm wooden ambience, very tasty and solid Thuringian cuisine and prompt service with a smile. A must when visiting Erfurt.

A typical German beer restaurant located in a large square in front of the dome. Just a drink is fine. For meals, you can enjoy local Thuringian cuisine. Standard beers such as Keller beer, Helles beer, and dark beer are available in barrels (draft). We also have a wide selection of mulled wine and spirits.

I can only recommend the food (Thuringian cuisine). Eat on site and for pick up. Warm kitchen daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

We spontaneously wanted to have dinner on Saturday evening and were warmly welcomed. Very great service really. The staff here really put their hearts into it. (Chairs are sometimes carried back and forth for the guests). The food is also very tasty. We had Thuringian Rostpraetel with fried potatoes. A "small" menu - but completely sufficient and with a view of the cathedral, absolutely unbeatable and affordable. We would love to come back.

Delicious. I had real homemade dumplings and stewed cabbage with a very tasty and large roulade. Rostbrätel was also very good. Only recommended!

We came here as tourists based on Google reviews and can only agree with the positive reviews. The wait for a free table for dinner was really worth it. Great ambience, first class service, fine food of excellent quality. Absolutely recommended!👍👏

Very friendly and attentive service. I ate walleye with wild rice. The rice was very soft and way too much on the plate! Visually, the food could be presented better.

We were visiting Erfurt and wanted to enjoy Thuringian cuisine in a cozy inn. So we came to the Wirtshaus am Dom and were not disappointed. The location with the view of the cathedral is unique. The food in the small, cozy inn was very tasty and really typical Thuringian cuisine. Our waitress Barbara was very friendly and made us feel like a welcome guest. Thank you very much, we will definitely come back!

Suddenly we decided to go from the Christmas market to the pub. We were warmly welcomed and assigned a seat with a view of the cathedral. Good home cooking. Pleasant prices. It was tasty.

Yesterday we had dinner at the Wirtshaus am Dom. It is quite small and very cozy. The staff is really friendly and not fake, we really liked that. My schnitzel with fried potatoes was tasty and more than enough at good prices. My wife had chicken breast fillet, which also tasted very good.

We were thrilled, the food was super nice, German-speaking hospitality, despite the Christmas stress simply bomb, the child ate all the fries, the husband was thrilled with his bratwurst and mashed potatoes and the rimder roulade with dumplings was just great, price-performance ratio was completely fine

We had a very tasty meal there and that was possible thanks to the very nice staff. The restaurant was actually full, but a spot was found for us. That was extremely hospitable. The food also came very quickly, which surprised us given how many guests there were. Also a big compliment to the kitchen for making it so tasty. We want to come back. :)

Pre-order without success, the staff told me to just come by, 3 attempts unfortunately without success, we kept being sent away, so only one star for that too

Never again. Reservation apparently not possible at lunchtime, when I was there at lunchtime today, 8 tables were reserved. The other 2 were occupied. Unfriendly staff. Not recommended. I believe that the good reviews are bought or the bad ones are not published.

Great Thuringian food with super friendly, excellent service in a nice atmosphere…. What more could you want? The price is completely reasonable, even quite cheap. My pikeperch was like “freshly caught”, the lettuce like “just picked”. Great!

Small rustic restaurant. Condition is very friendly. We were there during the week and got a table straight away. We were recommended to make a reservation, but it worked out that way and I would definitely recommend it.

Small and cozy restaurant right on Cathedral Square. Anyone who likes hearty, home-style food is in good hands here. It tastes fantastic, the service is very friendly. There is a children's menu. We paid less than €100 with 5 people including drinks. Price-performance unbeatable. Quality of the food was very good. We felt very comfortable.

A very great restaurant with very courteous service. The dumplings are handmade and taste that way too! The pork cheeks melt in your mouth. The Wirtshaussalat is also highly recommended!

We were told there was no space left. Then I left. Shortly afterwards my wife came and said they still had room. Unlucky. Closed due to wealth.

We wanted Thuringian cuisine, the food offered in this restaurant is not particularly Thuringian specialties. But really tasty and inexpensive too. Since it is right near the cathedral and cathedral square, it is easy to find. A fine restaurant with Thuringian cuisine that is recommended.

Been to Erfurt so many times and never eaten at the Wirtshaus am Dom. That's changing now. Super tasty food, nice service, just enjoy working... great and a beautiful view of the cathedral...

Thank you for the very tasty food and authentic service! The map is small and manageable, which is exactly how it is perfect. We would love to come back with our children. The only downside: the jus/sauce for the roulades and the braised cheeks was very close to the salt limit. But you can easily change that 😉 . But the meaty taste of the sauce was outstanding.

The service crew on Thursday August 22nd. was lonely peak. It was tasty anyway, the service ladies were the icing on the cake. Gladly again.

Super delicious food at absolutely fair prices and very friendly service.

If you want to experience the “GDR ambience” of the 70s, this is the right place. When I politely asked if I could sit down, I was told I should wait until the table was cleared. Of course, other guests sat down there in the meantime and I had to wait again. After ordering food and a non-alcoholic Paulaner beer, I received a warm Fürstenberg Pilsener without any indication. I complained about this to a waitress, whereupon the waitress from whom I had ordered appeared shortly afterwards with the same drink and resolutely explained to me that it was the supplier's fault and that all bottled drinks were at that temperature. Because of the heavy crowds, "I couldn't keep up with filling the fridge. However, I could get ice cubes." I then had no choice but to leave the restaurant, which was actually beautifully located next to the cathedral. It's a shame, but as I said, pure "Ostalgia"!

We came here on the recommendation of our landlady... Food was great, service was attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was simply fantastic (we sat outside, right in the center of Erfurt) - we'll be back next time we're in Erfurt :-)

The Thuringian bratwurst was really good, the stuffing was homemade, everything was top notch. Unfortunately the service was really bad. Grumpy and inattentive. A pity!

This restaurant is right on Cathedral Square. This time, when the sun was shining, we sat outside in the sun and watched the goings-on at the fair. The service was quick and polite.

We had a great evening, with delicious food and a view of the cathedral square for the Clueso concert. The employees are all very nice and put their hearts into their work, even if this evening was certainly challenging.
