A small, idyllic beer garden located directly on the Modau River. Moderate prices for food and drinks. The tables are well-spaced, making it very quiet.

Actually, it's a nice beer garden. About two months ago. I've been there several times. But the way the service staff treat their guests is insane. A guest dropped a glass at the bar, and the staff member completely slapped him. Even though it was actually the service's fault.

It was my first time there and I rode my bike there. When I tried to order, I was rudely asked, without even a greeting, to take my bike to the bike parking area first. If you don't even greet a guest/customer politely before asking them for something, I really did take my bike away. Not to the bike parking area, though, but to the next restaurant. It's a shame. It looked cozy, but I wouldn't want to eat with unfriendly people.

Simple, lovely beer garden with Hessian classics. One of the best white wine spritzers in the area. Homemade cooked cheese is very good. Excellent Leberkäse (liver sausage).

I was there this evening. The food is simple, home-style cooking that leaves nothing to be desired. Very good. Friendly owners who take good care of their guests. And the ambiance is a dream. I didn't even have to get up. The setting is perfect. Even the street isn't as loud as expected; instead, the mill wheel creates a relaxed atmosphere. It won't be my last visit.

We were there on Mill Day and really enjoyed the atmosphere. However, the solo entertainer was very annoying and shouted more than he sang. A bit more variety and professionalism in the music selection would have been good.

A very green beer garden on the Modau River; quiet thanks to the generously spaced tables and real chairs. A very varied menu: from cakes and snacks to full meals, everything is available; unique for a beer garden and with fair prices. Friendly staff; dogs welcome. The only problem is getting there: I drove past it for many years without knowing it, as the beer garden is barely visible from the road. The beer garden can only be reached via the bike and footpath along the Modau River.

Idyllic location in the countryside, easy to reach by bike. Inexpensive, simple cuisine. A special highlight is the rotating, loudly rushing mill wheel.

I arrived by bike on Saturday, July 13, 2024. After 25 kilometers and starving, I found myself in front of a closed door! A sign said society closed today! There was no reference to this either on the homepage or here on Maps! Ok, I could have called ahead, but who expects that at a restaurant? Maybe a calendar on the homepage would be helpful! But currently you should call ahead!

You could definitely do more with it, but it's quite nice for a short stop on a bike tour. The bratwurst is really tasty and so is the Äppler. The staff is nice but a bit understaffed, I don't know if that was just the case that day. All in all worth recommending

For cycliats coming by, this is am absolute gem. The food is great, and the entire area is very quaint and quiet.

The weather is finally getting good and the beer garden is open. There is nothing better than taking a trip to the powder mill on the weekend. Homemade cakes and delicious food are available.

Nice location and actually a great beer garden, but I haven't been treated so rudely in a long time "just" because I had children with me. Statements like: “Wow, I'm breaking off on Father's Day, only mothers with children and the fathers are probably drunk on the couch at home! and “I hope they look after their children, no flowers are torn down here and no toilet paper is stuffed in the toilet.” Saying this to someone who has just arrived and whose children they don’t even know is pretty presumptuous. Actually, there should be a sign right at the entrance saying: Children are not welcome in the powder mill!!! That would also be outrageous and sad, but at least honest!!!

Located close to the federal highway. You can't see them through some forest and greenery, but you can hear the traffic. For a short break and to quench your thirst and hunger but no matter. Card payment is also not possible. Cash only!

I've been to the beer garden several times and have always loved it, but today it was a disaster, I had to queue for half an hour and it was self-service. 2 people routing and a huge queue to the bridge,,, these people are looking for,, waitresses (service employees),,,, where are the unemployed,, and students????

After the walk, this beer garden is just right. Nicely located in a lovely setting with friendly staff. The food is down-to-earth and the pricing is fair. From coffee and cake to cooked cheese or meatloaf. Medium selection of food and drinks. We will come back !

There was very tasty bratwurst and freshly tapped Grohe beer. Everything is nice and green and well maintained. Delicious cheesecake and plenty of space for guests in the beer garden. The intact and impressive mill is included for free. 😀

Ein sehr schöner Biergarten, etwas abgelegen im Wald, es gibt kleine Gerichte wie Nudel/Kartoffelsalat , Bratwurst, Schwenksteaks und alles zu humanen Preisen. Bin immer mal wieder hier.

Pfingstmontag & Mühlentag 2023 Das Ambiente, am Bach im Wald, einfach umwerfend. Leckeres Essen , gute Getränke, nette Leute , tolle Live- Musik. Es war sehr sehr schön , vielen Dank dafür.

Immer am Pfingstmontag fahren wir aus Hünstetten zum Taufgottesdienst in die Pulvermühle, in Mühltal. Nach dem Gottesdienst gibt es leckeres 😋 Mittagessen anschließend noch lecker Kaffee ☕️ und Kuchen 🎂. Man trifft alte und neue Bekannte. Jetzt sind wir wieder gut im Taunus angekommen. Es war ein schöner sonniger Pfingstmontag.

Wunderbares Ambiente im Grünen an der Modau. Hier lässt es sich trotz Hitze sehr gut aushalten. Das Essen ist super lecker. Kuchen, Salate und Hand/Kochkääs sind selbstgemacht, Fleisch und Wurst kommen vom Metzger aus der Region!🧡 Mein Favorit sind Kartoffelsalat und Bratwurst. Und natürlich GROHE-Bier. Absolut Spitze. Und das Personal… immer freundlich, ruhig und geduldig- auch bei größtem Andrang. Ein tolles Plätzchen für Wanderer, Radler und die ganze Familie. Mittlerweile mein Stamm-Biergarten. Ein Besuch lohnt sich wirklich

Eine sehr schöne Lokation! Mann/Frau/Kind muss sich allerdings etwas bewegen, um hinzukommen. Essen und Kuchen sehr gut. 🤗 Ich sitze gerne dort, allerdings immer noch zu selten. 🤗
