Biergarten am Künettegraben in Ingolstadt

The beer garden has a quiet, romantic setting. The food was excellent: I recommend the currywurst with the super fries. The host couple are "a real gem." Highly recommended.

Quite small menu, possibly due to the restrictions of the kitchen size. Great beer! The service team seemed to be a bit overwhelmed in the evening so that people started to pick up their drinks directly from the kitchen entrance. The main factor however is the atmosphere of the place. In the middle of the Künettegraben, next to the water. One of the most beautiful sites in Ingolstadt.

Nicely located, friendly service

The setting is very idyllic, beside the slightly brackish waters of the Künettegraben, and you can watch the ducks from your table. The food is quite simple, with schnitzel, currywurst, sausage salad, and simple cold snacks. You'd accept it for the shady spot in the garden, were it not for the abysmal service from the two gentlemen. After 20 minutes of waiting, even with friendly eye contact, no one came to take a drink order, even though the beer garden wasn't full. Rather, it was the gentlemen's clumsiness in picking up used dishes and delivering ordered goods. Every trip was double, and without friendly oversight. Only those with real time and patience will be in good hands here. For thirsty and hungry mouths, the city center dining scene, with its wider selection and wider service, is recommended.

Nice beer garden, but unfortunately, poor service: If you order a non-alcoholic shandy, you should have it served, or you'll be told that it's not available. Unfortunately, ordering food wasn't possible because there were about 20 people there—a shame.

Super nice beer garden with very tasty and inexpensive food!!

The beer garden was packed, but there were only two waiters, one of whom was only allowed to clear and serve. The only one taking orders was hopelessly overwhelmed. We left after 15 minutes because the man didn't even glance in our direction and didn't expect to be noticed anytime soon.

Unfortunately, the service was a no-go. I've rarely experienced such unfriendly service – loud, unprofessional, and with zero sense of how to interact with guests. Customers are barked at, then insulted – and this is repeated on a continuous basis. An extremely unpleasant atmosphere. The food was okay, the location was familiar – but you really feel sorry for the poor colleague who has to deal with this behavior. I wouldn't recommend it.

I feel compelled to include my negative example here due to the incredibly high number of positive reviews. My one star refers to the service. The quality of the food and the ambiance take a back seat when... - the first contact with the waiter, and presumably the owner(?), is a comment that we shouldn't look so hard – after all, we're not his only guests (sorry, we didn't realize that and didn't mean to) - the second comment immediately follows: "You're taking a long time to decide." - the food (cold dish) takes a long time to arrive, even though the other tables arrived later and already had their food. - the food arrives incomplete, and we (have to) ask the kitchen ourselves. - the server can't be found, even to pay. - the server then publicly has a minor freakout because she can't find her guests. - the server sarcastically calls out after us after paying: "Thanks for the tip."

A nice beer garden in a beautiful city park. The service and food are truly excellent.

We were lured by the ambiance and the good reviews. Unfortunately, we left after 40 minutes, at 9 p.m., without any drinks. We quickly went into town to get some more food. We'll try again another time...

The beer garden itself has a nice environment, and you could actually do something with it if everything wasn't very messy and the cigarette butts didn't collect in large numbers on the floor. The service was more than just poor, we had to wait for three quarters of an hour before we could even order. Everything was totally messed up and disorganized. The food came, the fries were cold and my husband had strange hair on his plate, extremely unappetizing. When we wanted to pay we had a professional, self-written invoice with prices that absolutely did not match the prices on the card. Of course we didn't give a tip, then the gentleman wanted to discuss with us why we didn't give a tip, he then wanted to know what we do and whether we are service providers and actually know what that means. Absolutely speechless after the experience. Definitely DEFINITELY never again.

Friendly, in a good mood, always helpful team and with Poli a bomb boss. Individual wishes are gladly taken into account. Top location on the water of the Künettegraben with lots of greenery and great water birds.

A somewhat hidden, smaller beer garden in Ingolstadt that is particularly impressive because of its picturesque location. Beautifully located on the water, embedded in the green belt of the old town. Only the mosquitoes got a bit too much for us in the evening. Next time we will take precautions.

Negative impression towards the previous tenant. Beer tent ambience which doesn't appeal. Eternal address...did you enjoy it? Currywurst way too spicy. At the entrance Lümmelcouch....where people drink....pure entrance. Risk of recurrence 5%.

Very nice idyllic beer garden. They have super delicious snacks there. With fresh ingredients, Bavarian style and really plentiful. We also think of children, there are fries, Cury sausage, etc. The service is super nice, but when I was there the serving staff was overwhelmed and that was passed on to the guests (the hectic pace). Otherwise it was a nice visit and I will definitely go again. Highly recommended! I deducted one star because of the hectic pace

Nice little beer garden with super nice operator and staff. We were just passing through from South Tyrol to Berlin overnight at the Auwaldsee and looked for a nice beer garden and hit the bull's eye. Service at the place, not overcrowded (ok it was a Monday evening), food was delicious, beer was delicious and service was extremely friendly including water for the dog. What more could you want? We'll definitely be back next time we're traveling through. 👌

We were there for the first time today. I have to say that the price/performance ratio isn't right here. A beer costs 4.30, I don't even pay that in the inner city... a snack plate costs 15 euros and 90, well. We won't come again

Cozy, idyllic beer garden right on the water. Delicious food, there were 6 of us there last night, all the food was fresh and of good quality. The landlord, Poly's, was very concerned about our well-being. Special requests no problem ☺️ I got a second helping of sourcream at no extra charge. Schnapps from the landlady included. We'd love to come back!

The beer garden is now called Poli’s Beer Garden. The currywurst with fries, especially the curry sauce, was very tasty, for adults. Probably too spicy for children. I would order them again. Service is super friendly, funny, sometimes forgetful and a bit unstructured. We'll be back and will take the snack board as it also looked very tasty. Continued success. 🍀

Beautifully located beer garden by the water and surrounded by greenery. Menu small but completely sufficient. We had currywurst which was very tasty. Service quick and very friendly, with humor. Gladly again!

Stopped by today spontaneously on the recommendation of a friend, we had the Obazda and the currywurst with fries and it was very, very tasty. Large portion, very nicely prepared and great ambience. Gladly again!

One of the most beautiful and underrated beer gardens in Ingolstadt!

Went here spontaneously today and were very happy with this decision. The waiter was very attentive and quick. Our meal (Swiss sausage salad) had a decent portion size, was nicely presented, tasted good and the price was right too. The ambience is fine - there are various seating options, from beer benches to tables/chairs and upholstered lounges, all beautifully located in the countryside and by the water. We will certainly come back.

My favorite beer garden in Ingolstadt. The atmosphere on the water, right next to the city, is unbeatable. Good food, nice service.

Not open despite big announcement on the internet.

What can you say... Unfortunately, it gets worse from year to year We always enjoy coming here every year. But what happened this year? The waitress is sitting next to the kitchen and typing on her cell phone while my beer has been empty for a long time. The food... Yes, there is food, but what is homemade here? Is it too much to expect to pound a schnitzel, bread it and fry it? The schnitzel was simply bought wholesale, thrown into the deep fryer and that was it. Beer is only poured from bottles into glasses (okay... That was no different last year). All in all, you can come here for one, maybe two drinks, but that's about it... Unfortunately, this is also reflected in the number of guests here. Why not take the food off the menu and concentrate on good service and maybe a DJ or different music in the summer months?! Unfortunately we were here for the last time this year. Next year there will be another chance.

I was really looking forward to the baked potato, but the menu has become very small and the schnitzels are unfortunately frozen... the packs of them were lying around open... it's a shame... but snack boards are great to recommend and the service and environment are great anyway

Nach langer Zeit wieder mal eingekehrt. Service gut. Ruhig und schön gelegen. Bayerischer Wurstsalat und Obatzter haben sehr gut geschmeckt. Wir werden wieder kommen.

Die Portionen sind absolut großzügig vorbereitet! Schmeckt für gutes Geld. Personal gewöhnungsbedürftig aber total nett! Mache Speisen (Chicken-Burgerpatty, Falafel, Pommes, ..) TK - klassiker.

Sehr schönes Ambiente ohne Lärm dafür direkt am Wasser. Der Service war schnell, professionell und freundlich. Unsere Speisen waren alle insgesamt lecker und die Portionen waren riesig. Preislich verhält sich alles im Rahmen.

Hallo, war heute das .erstenmal da.... Wir hatten nicht gegessen, .nur Kaffee und Spezi getrunken Zum Essen kommen wir sicher auch bald, der Aufenthalt war sehr ruhig und entspannt Was besonders angenehm war, eine ganz junge Bedienung War sehr aufmerksam, zuvorkommend, schneii und adrett.. Note 1, kann konnte sich auch mit ihr ein bißchen unterhalten Also besser geht es nicht

Die Lage des Biergartens ist genial, denn er liegt ruhig und im Ingolstädter Grüngürtel Glacis. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und hat bei einer unvollständigen Bestellung schnell und flexibel reagiert. Mein Cheeseburger war echt lecker und mengenmäßig mehr als ausreichend. Auch der bayer. Wurstsalat macht mehr als satt. Hier kann man gut essen und auch die Preise sind fair. Gerne wieder!

Die Lage ist gut, direkt am Künettegraben und die Bedienung war ebenfalls sehr freundlich und wir haben auch zügig unsere Bestellungen bekommen. Der Burger war an für sich ganz gut, aber die Semmel leider ein bisschen trocken. Für den Preis könnte man eine besseren Burger erwarten.

Wir waren vom Essen, dem Service und der ruhigen Lage begeistert. Lieblingsbiergarten (nicht zuletzt, weil gegenüber ein großer Wasserspielplatz liegt, ab dem wohl fast jedes Kind auf deine Kosten kommt)

Excellent place and very nice food

Sehr uriger Biergarten direkt am Wasser. Die Brotplatte war reichhaltig und das Bier sehr lecker. Der See war leider sehr grün. Uns als Nicht Bayer wurde alles gut erklärt und wir haben uns wohl gefühlt.
