We received a friendly welcome and great service. Really great food and good value. This place lives up to its name of Best Kebab.

The sign outside had said "best donner" and I'm inclinded to agree. Never have I seen my 60 year old anti-'donner' mother hoover down kebab and chips in under a minute. What a classy place! Neon kebab signs, comfy seating, and a great menu. The Staff were friendly and accomodating to english speakers. I shall be returning.

It used to be very good, but unfortunately not anymore. The meat is dry, not good, and there's not enough of it. The price is far too high for this quality. I can no longer recommend it.

Until now, I thought I couldn't go wrong with a kebab as long as the meat was good quality... but unfortunately, it was nothing at all; it was a complete disappointment in terms of taste. A bland salad with a spicy, but otherwise rather unsuitable sauce, and dry meat. Only the bread was really good. Furthermore, the tables and seating were dirty. I can't understand the positive reviews.

I ordered a chicken doner box with just salad. They didn't ask me if I wanted it small or large, but I was still charged €10 straight away. And in fact, a chicken doner box with one side dish only costs €8. Sometimes I just felt robbed at this place.

Best Döner MUC offers delicious food of consistently high quality. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but this is reflected in the freshness and taste. Due to its popularity, there may be wait times during peak times, but the friendly staff always ensures a smooth service.

I highly recommend it! The dönner rolls are baked on site – they're truly delicious, lightly sprinkled with sesame seeds – and it all pairs perfectly with the delicious meat and vegetables :) The pide is first-class – the dough is perfect, slightly crispy after baking! A big plus is the option to add meat to the basic cheese version. The atmosphere is also very positive! Thank you!

I happened to be passing by and tried the doner kebab. For today's prices, you get a very good value for money doner.

Paid €30 for a Yufka, 2 coffees, and 1 oludag. Yesterday, there were three employees there. When I ordered, they didn't understand what I wanted. They were completely unmotivated and at times rude. In the end, it worked out. However, when my friend suddenly started speaking Turkish, they suddenly became more polite (because they could understand what the three men were whispering to each other). The food was good, nothing to complain about. It seemed like a high-quality steak, but there was too much fat for my taste, which is actually fine, but it still tasted good. However, the employees were unpleasant and unfriendly.

I don't want to claim to be a kebab expert (maybe I am when it comes to chicken 😜), but I do love a good chicken kebab. I haven't eaten a kebab in Munich for a long time. As a huge chicken kebab fan, it's difficult, firstly, to get 100% chicken and, secondly, to have it be tasty. Many months ago, my family and I embarked on a sort of "Best Chicken Kebab Tour," during which we first encountered this snack bar. Back then, I had very positive memories of it, and everyone loved it. Later, I discovered that there's a second shop (the one reviewed here) that serves exactly the same meat and freshly baked goods. I've been there probably 30 to 40 times since then, and I can only say that I've always been very satisfied with the food. If you like a classic, "old-school" doner kebab without lots of different sauces or other experiments, you'll find a really, really good doner kebab with freshly baked bread here – which is quite a rarity in Munich. ​Many of the employees are excellent. But I can also understand that there were probably a few "flops" on some days. I'm taking into account the circumstances during Oktoberfest (I saw it live), because it was usually more hectic than at McDonald's – and often until 1 or 2 a.m. Of course, you can't or don't want to give full passion and the best service there. So far, I've never had anything to complain about; the amount of meat was good, and if I wanted more, you can "book" more meat for a small fee. ​So I'm super satisfied and will probably get another doner kebab before work today or tomorrow 🍻.

I've been there for the first time in ages. They used to serve delicious kebabs. Now they only serve tiny, expensive, and unappetizing kebabs. Absolutely not recommended.

The kebab was perfectly fine, but absolutely nothing special. The beetroot was very tasty, the rest was rather standard. The service was absolute chaos. I was initially skipped when ordering because my colleague wanted to serve a regular customer who was in line behind me. The ambiance, well, it's a kebab shop. I wouldn't celebrate a wedding there or spend an entire evening there. At first glance, though, it looked clean and was quite busy. I would go there again for a kebab.

The meat and ingredients were of very high quality. It's the perfect place for first-timers. It was cold, so they offered tea, but we didn't have time to drink it. I'll definitely stop by next time.

I was there for the first time yesterday because I thought the kebab might be better in this branch than in the other one! Unfortunately not... as soon as I was greeted, I noticed that when I said hello, I didn't get anything in return, just a blank stare... I thought to myself, well, there are worse things, and unfortunately that's exactly what happened... I was there 3 hours before closing time and I was made to feel like I was unwelcome because there was nobody there except me and I think friends of the employees, who were also talking very loudly and making fun of the employees. When I then wanted to order a kebab, I saw that the chicken skewer was wrapped in cling film. When I then said I would like a chicken kebab, the employee said angrily, "That's not possible anymore. We're wrapping it up now." Then I said okay, then I'll just have a beef kebab skewer! When other people came in while I was eating my kebab, and they asked for a chicken kebab, the employee was annoyed because he had just wrapped the kebab skewer in cling film. He came back out and threw it onto the counter in frustration, only to then put the kebab skewer back in the oven... so the whole experience was really not a pleasant one! I was really at the lowest point on a human level, and the kebab tasted good, but it just had a strange aftertaste because I didn't really feel comfortable, and the whole visit was just weird! Despite everything, I can't recommend this place, sorry!

Review updated: from 1 to 3 stars. The kebab itself is very good, tastes great! But you'll be there for a minute and smell like kebab for three days. Card payments are accepted for orders over €10, so there's no way to get a kebab if you don't have cash in your pocket.

Bread is great – the rest is a flop. The amount of meat in the kebab is so ridiculously small that you almost have to consider whether it's a kids' meal. The price is the same as for a full-sized kebab, but the contents are more of a "light version." The inside looks dirty, and yet there are still 5-star reviews here? I have no idea if they were written by the staff themselves, but that's really incomprehensible.

Solid place for quick takeout food. I especially liked the doner kebap. Their pizza saved us one night when our kids were feeling quite picky and were tiring of German food. Loved how quick they prepared food too. There are tables and chairs, but I would treat this place as a to-go restaurant.

Very tasty kebabs, a reasonable size, and always fresh side dishes. Unfortunately, due to the high volume of customers, there's a bit of a noise level, and the tables are a bit unclean. Despite the line at the order counter, service is prompt. We'll be happy to come back.

We arrived 45 minutes after the store opened and before we could enter, we were chased out the door by a man who barely spoke German, in a very unfriendly tone and without any explanation.

I love this place. I've been eating there almost once a week for years. Super friendly and always very busy. I highly recommend the veal. Whether it's the dürüm or the döner, both are homemade. Great team, great food, really good. The portions could just be a bit bigger for the price, otherwise everything is great. You should definitely try it out; many of my friends are now regulars.

The freshly baked bread was impressive, but the contents were mediocre at best. I found both the veal and the vegetables relatively dry. Whether that was due to the quality of the meat, the grilling technique, or the fact that the spit was almost finished, I can't say. But at this price point, I would have expected better.

Went to visit based on the reviews, but the döner sandwich was nothing special. It’s okay for a quick grab-and-go, but the lettuce and vegetables didn’t seem very fresh. Also, there was a lack of napkins.

The doner kebab actually tastes delicious, but today they had a small doner kebab for nine euros. I would have to eat two to feel full. Making the price higher and the portion smaller isn't a good idea.

I threw half of it away. Unfortunately, the bread wasn't crispy, the kebab fell apart, and the meat was stale and tasted like greasy. I gave it another try because of the long opening hours, but never again.

I got a veal doner kebab today. The bread was a solid 10 out of 10. The meat was juicy, but not very seasoned. The amount of meat was far too small for €9. The staff were only friendly, but they served as much as they needed. Not a bad doner. You can do it.

Good doner kebab, now also available with veal. All ingredients are fresh. Bread is baked on-site. During peak hours, waiting times of 20 minutes are quite possible! Unfortunately, the doner kebab is no longer a bargain. Quality has its price. A doner kebab with veal plus extra meat costs €11.

I don't think it deserves the comments and reviews that appear on the Google map. The meat is good, yes, but the portions are very small. The behaviour of the employees is a little strange, I don't fully understand why. There are döner shops that do their job properly with much better quality. Price Performance : A little better than worst . Atmosphere was also bad.

Absolutely delicious! My husband and I tried both their Hähnchen (chicken) and Kalb (beef) kabaps. The meals came with fries and a drink, and there were complimentary pepperoncini jars to enjoy alongside the meal. They were much spicier than the ones we’ve had in the U.S., which we loved! We both agreed these were the best kabaps we have ever had.

I've eaten at Best a few times, but haven't been for quite a while now. Unfortunately, I've had a few bad experiences with the veal doner in the past – it was often too greasy and tough. My colleague hasn't talked about anything else for a week because he thinks it's the best veal doner in Munich. So I went twice this week – and wow, it was really good! The meat was super tender, the bread was perfect, everything was top-notch. I really hope the quality stays the same as it was on my last two visits. Then you'll definitely see me there more often!

Truly the best doner shawarma in Munich. The restaurant owner is a wonderful, kind man who deserves all the best.

The naan bread is chewy and elastic, and appears to be handmade and baked. The exterior is delicious, but the chicken filling is a bit salty. It's a very popular place, so you might have to wait a little, but it's well worth it.

Busy but for a very good reason. First and best dönner ever. Was very hungry but made the extra trek here and it was everything I could’ve wanted. Be prepared for a quick and (slightly) chaotic ordering process but less if you actually speak German. 🤣

The kebab was really delicious. I told them I was pregnant and they would like the meat cooked thoroughly, and they respected my wishes and did what they wanted! I can highly recommend this snack bar! I'll be sure to stop by again if I'm in the area!

We were here yesterday for lunch and had a doner kebab with everything. We arrived shortly after 11 a.m., as it's not very busy at that time. If you come at 12 p.m., you might end up standing in a pretty long line. Now for the doner kebab. What's noticeable is that the bread is homemade and not too thick, and the ingredients are plentiful. For me, it's one of the best doner kebabs I've ever eaten.

I've been a customer since it opened over 15 years ago. Back then, it was called Laura's Back and Grill House. Over 15 years of outstanding quality! The No. 1 spot in Munich for kebabs and other specialty items!

The food was good, but ordering was a stressful experience. Dürüm Döner was €8.50 and Helles kebab was €2.80.

My wife and I were looking for döner for dinner and this was really good! As tourists we like to look for local restaurants where local people who live nearby go and eat! The food was awesome, the meat and bread were magical! Eat here and you really won't be disappointed! /Tourists from Sweden!

It's a bold statement to name your business "Best Döner & Falafel", but this place did not disappoint. The Döner Kebab was incredible. My wife and each got one and our daughter got the Döner Box with rice, which too was great! 10 STARS on the Kebabs!

I went there with my wife because I was surprised by how many positive reviews the store had. For that price, I basically just got bread with a piece of meat. I've never experienced such stinginess with the ingredients before. The store is also decorated with QR codes, so I think most of the reviews are simply fake. 2 I will never visit the store again.

Good morning, dear kebab men. I was with you yesterday for the first time in a long time. I took two kebabs with me. Unfortunately, the quality has dropped significantly compared to before. The bread roll was mostly watery and tasteless. The turkey meat was not crispy, cut too thickly and half-raw. The quality was also rather mediocre. Unfortunately, with the price changes came a loss of quality. Apparently, this doesn't bother customers, as your business is booming. What a shame, really.

Prices do not match quality or taste. The staff is not friendly and does not understand German well. I cannot recommend.

They make the dough themselves and it's brutally delicious, the veal is also delicious.

I tried both the beef and chicken kebab sandwiches. The beef kebab was alright—nothing bad, but not particularly memorable in terms of flavor or meat quality. The chicken kebab was a bit of a letdown; it was quite bland and could use a much stronger seasoning to elevate its taste compared to the beef. They serve as a convenient fast grab if you're already in the area, but I wouldn't recommend making a dedicated drive for them if a doner craving hits.

Unfortunately, a very disappointing experience – customer focus looks different. I'm writing this review with the hope that I can perhaps still offer something constructive to the store – because the potential for good service is there, but unfortunately, it's currently completely wasted. I was in the store today and ordered three chicken doner kebabs. Two of them were prepared quickly, but then set aside. Afterward, every new customer who came in was told that they were out of chicken for the time being – they'd have to wait until the meat was ready again. Instead, veal was offered as an alternative, which was immediately available – albeit at a higher price, which they were then expected to pay. I didn't change my order and waited until my third chicken doner was ready – which took a while, while the first two just sat there and got cold. When I then politely said that I'd like the third one "a little extra spicy," the employee simply replied with the rude reply: "I don't care about anything now. Now I have to make all these chicken doner kebabs." That honestly left me speechless. Statements like that—annoyed, loud, and irritated in front of other customers—come across as anything but inviting. If you want people to come back, that's unfortunately not good advertising. I understand that stressful situations arise. But that shouldn't result in indifference or outright rudeness toward paying guests. Customers stand there, wait, and are patient—I expect at least a minimum of respect. I really wish something would change here. It should be clear: the customer isn't there for the staff—it's the other way around. Friendliness, clear communication, and fair treatment should be a given. It's a real shame—and so unnecessary.
